Gambhir had many duels with the opposition players on the field during his playing days.

Whether for Team India or for his IPL franchise, Gambhir gave it his all whenever he stepped foot on the field but nothing can match the outpour of emotions when he faced Virat Kohli during an Indian Premier League (IPL) game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore back in 2013.
After being dismissed, Kohli was walking off the field and that is when he engaged in an ugly verbal spat with Gambhir.
The two Delhi boys were having a go at each other and another and had to be separated by others.

Almost nine years later to that incident, Gautam Gambhir opened up on the verbal spat he had with the former India skipper and said that it was nothing personal, adding that sometimes you have to do it (show aggression) even if you don’t want to do it because you want your team to play the way you want.
We believe every word that Gambhir spoke as it was him who gave away his player of the match award to Kohli when the latter scored his first international century.
Without a century in the last two years, Virat Kohli is still averaging 50+ in ODI cricket.

Speaking about that gesture, Gambhir made a bold prediction that he feels Virat Kohli will score 100 centuries.
The 33-year-old currently has 70 hundreds next to his name in international cricket but his last three-figure score came back in 2019 and fans and cricket pundits have been sceptical about Kohli matching Sachin Tendulkar's record of 100 international centuries.
"I didn't do anything I shouldn't have done. You might go on to score 100 international hundreds, which I am sure he (Kohli) will because that's the kind of player he is but you will always remember your first international hundred. I remember my first international hundred that was in Bangladesh and the first ODI hundred against Sri Lanka," Gambhir said on cricket presenter Jatin Sapru's YouTube show Over & Out.
While we all want Gambhir's prediction to come true and see Kohli back to scoring hundreds for fun, the former India opening batter is not known for making accurate predictions and most of the time his predictions fall flat.
Worried after Gambhir's bold prediction, Kohli fans flooded Twitter to let their frustration known and even suggested that it is time for the former India skipper to hang his boots.
    Done him bad!

    — अभि (@knockd_and_over) March 19, 2022While we don't believe in the curse thing much, looking at the history of Gambhir's predictions, we can't deny the fact that he has been proven wrong many times before.
Gambhir had picked Australia's Marcus Stoinis as his fantasy team's captain ahead of the IPL 2020 final. The all-rounder, who had a terrific season till the final, was dismissed for a golden duck and even with the ball, he gave away 23 runs in two overs.
Gautam bhai picked Marcus Stoinis as captain of Dream 11 for the IPL final & got out at duck .

The southpaw had also picked New Zealand as favourites to win the T20 World Cup final last year but Australia outclassed them easily to lift the title.
Let's hope that this time Gambhir's prediction comes true and we get to see Kohli smash records and score big centuries in the coming fixtures.

Kumar Sangakkara, the Director of Cricket for the Rajasthan Royals, breaks down the reasons why Suresh Raina, who is also known as ‘Mr IPL’ and ‘Chinna Thala’ among Chennai Super Kings fans, was not sold in the IPL 2022 auction.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) this year will be without some of the star players who have ruled the roost for man years throughout the tournament's history, and former CSK batter Suresh Raina is one of them.

In the mega auction that preceded the 2022 edition, Raina was unable to find any purchasers. The southpaw had been with CSK from the tournament's inception in 2008 (with the exception of the 2016 and 2017 seasons, when the franchise was banned); nevertheless, a poor performance the previous season, along with a lack of domestic experience, meant Raina went unsold at the auction.
While discussing the auction dynamics, Sangakkara, who is currently the Director of Cricket for the Rajasthan Royals, went into great depth regarding Raina going unsold.

Talking about the surprising no-sell, the Sri Lankan legend said that the scenario could be viewed in a variety of ways. Players evolve as time passes, and newer players establish new reputations, etc while also suggesting how certain players aren’t suited for certain, specific seasons.
In the instance of Suresh Raina, his IPL cricket reputation is unrivalled. Season after season, he has been an incredible superstar, consistently ranking among the best and most outstanding performers. Once you get down to the nitty-gritty, it's possible that the player isn't right for that season. It doesn't change the fact that the player is one of the best or of exceptional quality, and it's something that analysts, coaches, and owners seek, according to Sangakkara.

Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Raina will be joining the Hindi commentary team alongside a returning Ravi Shastri to be the voice behind the microphone for the extended IPL 2022 season.
The 2022 Indian Premier League kicks off on March 26 in Mumbai, with the reigning champions, Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings completing against Shreyas Iyer's Kolkata Knight Riders, the runners-up franchise that surprised everyone making a late run for a playoff spot during the 2021 season and went on to be Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rishabh Pant’s Delhi Capitals to scratch and crawl their way to the final.

The latest national phenomenon, Vivek Agnihotri’s controversial film on the mass exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits in the valley, The Kashmir Files, has been making waves at the Box Office, having crossed the Rs 100 crore mark within a week of its release.
The collections for the film have been promising enough to surpass 2016’s hit, Dangal, starring Aamir Khan, Sanya Malhotra, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Even more so, TKF’s has matched Baahubali 2’s Day-8 collections.

In his tweet, known film trade analyst, Taran Adarsh shared some figures to make better sense of TKF’s success, “"#TheKashmirFiles creates HISTORY *Day 8* of #TKF [ 19.15 cr] is AT PAR with #Baahubali2 [ 19.75 cr] and HIGHER THAN #Dangal [ 18.59 cr], the two ICONIC HITS #TKF is now in august company of ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTERS [Week 2] Fri 19.15 cr. Despite crossing the Rs 100 crore mark at the Box-Office, The Kashmir Files has courted plenty of controversies since its release.
It has denigrated various parts of the population, with some calling for its ban, claiming that the makers of the film have distorted the series of events that actually transpired in the Valley, in order to stoke communal sentiments. While on the other hand, there are those that claim the film has accurately and explicitly depicted the violent circumstances under which the Kashmiri Pandits were forced to flee from the valley.

The stakeholders of the film have defended The Kashmir Files from all criticism, claiming that the events narrated in it, based on video interviews with the first generation victims of the Kashmiri Pandit exodus, is the reality of how things went down in 1990 in the Kashmir Valley.

Vivek Agnihotri’s directorial effort has clearly paid off as the film further aims its sights at a figure higher than the currently reaped Rs 100 crores.
Have you seen the film? How much more will The Kashmir Files bring in at the Box-Office? Let us know in the comments below.
