Responding to a Twitter user’s post calling for suo moto identification & trial of culprits of the Kashmiri Pandit Exodus in 1990, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has thrown his weight behind the idea that such a process should be the step forward in making reparations to the victims of the incident.

The Kashmir Files has seemingly opened up a can of worms with people across the political spectrum debating, discussing, and dissecting the ‘realities’ shown in the film.
Many claim that the makers of the film have 'distorted' the series of events that actually transpired in order to stoke communal sentiments, while the rest claim that the film has accurately and explicitly depicted the violent circumstances under which the Kashmiri Pandits were forced to flee from the Valley.

The original Tweet by the user seeking a retroactive approach to justice, similar to what happened during the Nuremberg trials after the genocide committed by Nazi Germany, read, “I appeal to judges of Supreme Court of India to order suo moto identification & trial of executors of Hindu Genocide Kashmir Valley 1990. So much evidence now public ordering trial like Nuremberg is their duty.#PMModi #AmirKhan #VivekRanjanAgnihotri”

Affirming his support of the same, Vivek Agnihotri, replied, “This should be the next step. Can some legal experts advise how we can take this forward?”.

With all that’s said and done, The Kashmir Files has once again thrust the controversial filmmaker into the limelight.

The unprecedented response to The Kashmir Files is undeniable, with the film steadily entering the Rs 100 crore club at the box office, showing no signs of slowing down. The Anupam Kher starrer has amassed the highest single-day haul of Rs 19.15 crore so far.

A further testament to the success of The Kashmir Files is the fact that it has equalled the day 8 collections of Baahubali 2, having received a theatrical release last Friday.
The film by Vivek Agnihotri claims to show the mass exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley in the 1990s.

The metrics of TKF’s success were further broken down by film trade analyst Taran Adarsh:

Shoaib Akhtar, former Pakistan pacer, has to be one of the most controversial cricketers of all time. His antics on and off the field kept him in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.

However, there is no denying the fact that he was one of the fastest bowlers who instilled fear in batters’ minds.
However, the former Pakistan fast-bowler made an honest admission over his inspiration that led to him becoming one of the fastest bowlers to have ever played the game, even breaching the 100 miles per hour barrier.
#OnThisDay in 2002. Shoaib Akhtar became the first man to break the 100mph barrier when he was clocked bowling to Craig McMillan at 100.04mph (161kph) during a one-day international against New Zealand in Lahore #Cricket pic.twitter.com/laD4Oh0H3J
    — Saj Sadiq (@SajSadiqCricket) April 27, 2021
Speaking on stand-up comic Tanmay Bhat's YouTube show, Akhtar said he started bowling just to impress girls but when he did not get the attention he was looking for, he decided to make a name for himself in the sport.

'Maine ladkiyo ko impress karne ke liye bowling start ki thi. To be honest with you, humare vaha ek ladkiyon ka block hota tha unko impress karne ke liye maine bowling start ki thi. Vo khade ho kar dekhte the aur mai local star ban gya tha. Jab mujhe lift nahi mili, motorcyle pa aata tha. Tab I realised ki mujhe is game mei aage jana chahiye. (I started playing cricket for girls. To be honest with you, we had a girls' block. I started bowling to impress them. They used to watch my fast bowling. I had become a local star. But when I used to come on my motorcycle and didn't get any attention, I realised I needed to move forward in cricket)', Akhtar said.

During the show, Akhtar also reminisced about an incident where he thought people in India would burn him alive when he nearly caused an injury to Sachin Tendulkar.

"One night there was a party over there. India and Pakistani players were there. I went up to Sachin and told him, let me carry you on my shoulder. He is small in height so I thought it would be easy. But as soon as I picked him up, he slipped and fell on his back. I thought he is injured now. I asked him apologetically, "Sachin, lagi toh nahi na? (Are you okay?)," Akhtar said.
"He (Tendulkar) replied, "Agar mujhe injury hui hoti na, tujhe India waale jala dete. Zinda (If I got injured, Indians would have burnt you alive)," Akhtar concluded.
The fast-bowler may have tormented many batters during his playing days but he should consider himself lucky that nothing happened to Tendulkar that day. Because even a minor injury to the 'Master Blaster' would have made Akhtar's stay in the country difficult.

'Sports is a great leveller' is a phrase many feel is a cliche, but for a sportsman and especially a cricketer, it is something that happens quite often in their professional career. One day, you put in a performance that takes you on cloud nine and on the very next outing, you could fail miserably.

There are many stories of ups and downs in cricket but not many could match the journey of India pacer Mohit Sharma. The 33-year-old fast bowler has represented India in two World Cups (2015 and T20 WC in 2014), was the leading wicket-taker in the 2014 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) but a few years later, he is now a net bowler for one of the debutant franchises -- Gujarat Titans.

Gujarat Titans recently shared a picture on social media from their first training session where fans spotted two Indian fast-bowlers who have played international cricket but went unsold at the IPL 2022 mega auction -- Mohit Sharma and Barinder Sran.

According to reports, both players have been included as net bowlers by the Gujarat-based franchise and helped the team as they prepared for the upcoming edition of IPL at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Seeing former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) purple cap holder as a net bowler left fans in shock and they reacted to the downfall of the pacer.

    — Animesh𓃵 (@AnimeshFooty) March 18, 2022Kya din aa gaye yaar Mohit Sharma ke nett bowler... Jo banda world cup khel chuka hai
    — Taihzeeb T.H (@HTaihzeeb) March 18, 2022In 2014, playing under MS Dhoni, Mohit Sharma picked up 23 wickets in 16 matches at an economy rate of 8.39. He played a pivotal role in knocking out arch-rivals Mumbai Indians in the eliminator in that season with a three-wicket haul but CSK were eliminated in the qualifier after losing to Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings).
The pacer has played 86 IPL games and picked up 92 wickets. With so many players pulling out of the cash-rich league due to various reasons, Mohit would be hoping someone signs him as a replacement and he can get a chance to prove that he still has a lot to offer.
After Jason Roy, Alex Hales has now pulled out of #IPL2022 citing bubble fatigue.

The 15th edition of the IPL will commence next week with 70 league matches to be played across four venues in Maharashtra. The final is scheduled to be played on May 29.

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri is in the best phase of his career with the record-breaking success of his film The Kashmir Files.
The movie has become a nationwide phenomenon and its box office collection is on a rise with each passing day.
While the film is nearing the Rs 100 crore mark, it won’t come as a surprise if it even hits a double century at the box office by the next week or so.
    © Zee Studios
As Vivek Agnihotri is basking in the success of his new film, here’s a look at the filmmaker’s filmography before The Kashmir Files.

He made his directorial debut with the 2005 film Chocolate starring Suniel Shetty, Anil Kapoor, Irrfan Khan, Emraan Hashmi, Arshad Warsi, Tanushree Dutta and Sushma Reddy.
    © Inspired Movies
Titled Chocolate: Deep Dark Secrets, the film featured a chartbuster soundtrack with 'Halka Halka Sa Yeh Nasha' topping the charts and carried good buzz around it before the release.

However, the film was panned by critics and flopped at the box office once people realised it was a rip-off of a cult Hollywood classic The Usual Suspects (1995).
He followed it up with a sports drama Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal (2007) starring John Abraham, Arshad Warsi and Bipasha Basu.
    © UTV Motion Pictures
Similar to Chocolate, the movie featured a hit soundtrack with songs like Billo Rani, Halla Bol and Ishq Ka Kalma but failed at the box office and received negative reviews.

In 2012, Vivek Agnihotri turned to erotica and found his first success as a filmmaker with Hate Story. Starring Paoli Dam, Gulshan Devaiah and Nikhil Dwivedi, the film was termed “Average” at the box office.

He tried to repeat the success of Hate Story with another erotic thriller Zid in 2014 starring Mannara, Karanvir Sharma and Shraddha Das. But he wasn’t lucky the second time around in the erotic genre and delivered a dud.

In 2016, he changed gears once again and directed the political thriller Buddha In A Traffic Jam.

The film starring Anupam Kher, Arunoday Singh and Mahie Gill found no takers at the box office. The critically panned film was termed a disaster by Box Office India.

The same year he made another disaster in the romantic drama Junooniyat starring Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam.

And then in 2019, Vivek Agnihotri surprised everyone by delivering the first major success of his career in The Tashkent Files.

The film had almost zero promotions but turned out to be a surprise box office success.
The movie starred Mithun Chakraborty, Naseeruddin Shah, Shweta Basu Prasad, Pankaj Tripathi and Vinay Pathak among others.

Unlike Vivek’s previous films, The Tashkent Files received fair reviews however, a section of the audience termed it a propaganda film.

Now, with The Kashmir Files, the filmmaker has turned a new leaf in his career and is on a career-high.

Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan are the most dangerous opening duo in limited cricket overs. They have provided Team India with a good start in multiple matches by batting together as openers. Both batsmen have a close relationship.
Shikhar Dhawan has described how he, his batting partner Rohit Sharma, and one of his close friends have been able to achieve such great success on the field. He argues that their deep friendship, as well as the element of trust, is extremely advantageous to them.

Shikhar and Rohit have been the best opening combo of this generation since opening the batting for India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2013, which the Men In Blue won. The southpaw went on to say that he met Rohit while they were both members of the U-19 team and camped together. According to 'Gabbar,' Sharma was a year and a half junior to him.

He went on to remark that they both have a good friendship that benefits them. The Delhi player continued by saying that they are both aware of each other's characteristics and that he is proud of their accomplishments for India.

The 36-year old batter went on to say that he consults Rohit Sharma if he is having batting problems and that they have a fantastic working connection in the middle.

Dhawan has also been pleasantly delighted with Rohit Sharma's leadership ever since he was made the full-time captain of the Men in Blue across all formats of the game. Rohit is yet to lose a match as skipper in any format and has, so far, whitewashed both the West Indies and Sri Lanka.
According to Shikhar, Rohit's easygoing personality and laid-back approach put him in good stead.
Shikhar Dhawan (in TOI) said "Rohit Sharma is very approachable, which is his best quality - he is a gem of a person, smart, relaxed - reads the game so well - he is the same person even after becoming the captain - has a very good helping mentality".
    — Johns. (@CricCrazyJohns) March 19, 2022
Shikhar Dhawan’s comments in favour of Sharma and his skills and natural abilities to lead such a prestigious team with so much composure and professionalism, led his fans to mock former Indian skipper Virat Kohli.
