On the occasion of Holi, India skipper Rohit Sharma sent out social media greetings to his fans and followers. The Hitman could be seen doing many takes to film a video message for his supporters in a humorous video released on Instagram by the cricketer.
The India skipper was unable to perfect his message despite numerous retakes. After seeing their captain having fun in the video, Shreyas Iyer, Kuldeep Yadav, and Yuzvendra Chahal burst out laughing.

In the post, Rohit encouraged his friends and followers to observe the festival of colours responsibly by not painting animals and not wasting water.
“All I want to say is “Happy Holi”. While you all have fun, please keep our furry friends in mind and be sure not to put any rang on them,” he said in the video before uploading it.
Let the colour of Holi spread the message of peace and happiness.Be safe & remember of not wasting water & being careful of our #HappyHoli

Meanwhile, Sharma has been widely mocked on social media for offering Holi gyaan, especially after the Mumbai Indians captain was chastised for his 'hypocrisy,' when it was found that Sharma, an animal rights enthusiast, was caught consuming beef during an alleged bio-bubble breach in Australia last year.
So called "Beef Eater" and avid egg lover Rohit Sharma is now worried about Animals om the occasion of Holi pic.twitter.com/5rdt91cIsk

    — Rahul Kr. Sr. (@BiharKaLall) March 18, 2022No disrespect to Rohit Sharma but if Virat Kohli had said something on animal abuse on Holi then, it would have be the breaking news and people would have dragged Anushka Sharma for no reason. — Mufaddal vohra (@Mufaddal_Vohra2) March 18, 2022Rohit Sharma is worried for dogs on Holi.
I would have understood the concern but Rohit Sharma is a beef eater.
I just don't understand how these people have soft corner for dogs & cats but they will eat any other animal without thinking twice.#RitikaApnaKuttaSambhal pic.twitter.com/rm8wzLXPqI
    — Incognito (@Incognito_qfs) March 18, 2022Back in January 2021, when the Indian cricket team were touring Australia and had recently come out of their testing quarantining in their hotel rooms when five Indian cricketers had been involved in a controversy.
Not only were Rohit Sharma, Rishab Pant, Shubhman Gill, Navdeep Saini, and Prithvi Shah been placed in isolation for breaking the bio-bubble restrictions, but they have also been mocked by netizens for ordering and eating beef.
The cricketers enjoyed a lavish dinner at a Melbourne restaurant, and a cricket fan who happened to see them there volunteered to pay their bill. Rishab Pant was apparently ecstatic over the fan's admiration and hugged the fan, Navaldeep Singh, in violation of biosecurity protocols.
Fan Navaldeep Singh created a problem for the cricketers when he shared a video on social media of the players sitting at a table behind him at the restaurant, claiming that he had paid their $118.69 bill.

Despite the bill suggesting that Sharma had ordered beef in Australia, over the last couple of years, it has been reported by multiple media outlets that the Indian skipper is in fact a vegetarian who takes his diet very seriously and is an animal rights activist.
Sharma is also a key part of the “Save The Rhino” initiative.

Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah is the latest to lash out against The Kashmir Files by  Vivek Agnihotri. He has accused the filmmaker of distorting the truth in the film based on the Kashmiri Pandit massacre and exodus of 1990.

At recent a briefing in Kulgam, the former Chief Minister said,  “The makers should clarify whether it is a documentary or a film. If this is a documentary then it is obvious that whatever is shown is true. But the makers say that it is a film based on reality,”

He continued, “Many false things have been shown in The Kashmir Files movie. When the Kashmiri Pandits left the valley, Farooq Abdullah was not the chief minister. Jagmohan was the governor of Jammu and Kashmir. VP Singh's government was at the Centre, supported by the BJP,"

Citing the lack of responsibility placed upon the then government, Abdullah charged, “Why wasn't VP Singh's government and BJP shown in the film. It is not right to play with facts. We condemn the killings of Kashmiri Pandits. But didn't Kashmiri Muslims and Sikhs lose their lives?”

Later, Omar took to Twitter, as he continued his tirade against the film, “The pain & suffering of 1990 & after can not be undone. The way Kashmiri Pandits had their sense of security snatched from them & had to leave the valley is a stain on our culture of Kashmiriyat. We have to find ways to heal divides & not add to them.”

Considering the heat that The Kashmir Files has sent Agnihotri’s way, he was granted Y category security cover in order to keep him safe from physical harm.

Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti tore into the Modi government over the film, she tweeted, “The manner in which GOI is aggressively promoting Kashmir Files & is weaponising pain of Kashmiri Pandits makes their ill intention obvious. Instead of healing old wounds & creating a conducive atmosphere between the two communities, they are deliberately tearing them apart.”

Starring Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, and Darshan Kumar, The Kashmir Files is making its presence felt in all quarters. In fact, the film directed by Vivek Agnihotri has recently been declared tax-free in several BJP-ruled areas.
