    You remember 3 Idiots, don't you? I mean, who doesn't? The hit movie was based on the Chetan Bhagat novel Five Point Someone and was a big box office success. 
    The movie had so many good things about it that when you look back on it, you wonder that it may age well in the coming generations as well.
    Moreover, the star cast of Aamir Khan, Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Boman Irani, and Kareena Kapoor brought so much to the table that by the end of the film, you were wondering if it was one of the best Hindi movies you've seen to date.

    Aamir played the role of Rancho, a super-intelligent and street smart student studying in what was one of the most prestigious engineering colleges in India.

    The movie revolved around his friendships with the characters of Joshi and Madhavan, with the pressures of education and the stereotypical road to success in life being one of the themes of the entire movie.

    It was a laughter fest, and well, Aamir's Rancho character had a lot to do with it.

    However, did you know that Aamir's character, which was based on Ryan's character in Five Point Someone's book, was also supposed to be played by someone else?
    Yeah, that's right.
    According to reports, the 3 Idiots movie was such a hit that it was supposed to be remade in Kannada.
    And, as per reports, the role of Rancho was supposed to be played by none other than late Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar.

    It was reported that Puneeth was quite keen on playing the role of Rancho in the Kannada version of the movie, which would have garnered a lot of views, considering the success of South Indian films like Pushpa.

    However, as you know, Puneeth tragically passed away last year after suffering from a heart attack.  
    At the time of the news, it was surely a huge shock to fans. According to reports, Puneeth was to recreate his own version of Rancho in the Bollywood remake which was going to be produced by KRG Studios.
    The movie was also said to have a unique cast lined up to star in it.

    Tiger Shroff is back at what he does best i.e flex muscles, break bones, fly high and defy gravity.  

    The trailer of Heropanti 2 marks Tiger’s return after over two years. And this time, he is joined by Tara Sutaria and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. 
    At 3-minute & 38-seconds, this is one of the longest trailers to come out of Bollywood and is filled with action sequences and cheesy one-liners with Nawazuddin Siddiqui hamming it up in a blend of desi Joker and his character from Kick.

    Directed by Ahmed Khan, Heropanti 2 trailer promises exactly what you expect from a Tiger Shroff starrer - a mindless action spectacle.

    Soon after the trailer was released, as expected, Heropanti 2 became a butt of jokes and fodder for memes on social media.

    Another user wrote, “Nawazuddin siddiqui se b overacting Kara di #Heropanti2”. 
    One fan who was disappointed after watching the trailer wrote, “As a die hard fan I am extremely disappointed in this ..that I have to tweet these things You have to listen to your fans too As a fan I'll watch #Heropanti2 in theatre only but this can't happen all the time All the best for your upcoming projects #Heropanti2”.

    However, there were others who didn’t hate the trailer as much as others and had some good things to say about it, “Ye log yaha troll kar rhe hi, trailer waha records bana rhe hi 1M+ viewes and 100K likes 39 mins stardom of tiger Again saying I will do 180+ #Heropanti2”.

    Learning from last year’s mistakes, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) doesn’t want to take any chances with regards to players and the tournament’s safety this year. 
    Hence, the world’s richest cricket board has imposed serious fines and sanctions to deter anyone – player, their family members or team officials – from taking the rules for granted and breaching the bio-secure bubble.

    Sanctions For Players/Team Members In its letter sent to all the franchises, the BCCI has intimated them about heavy fines and sanctions that will befall them if they are found guilty of breaching the bio-secure bubble. 
    If a player or support staff member breaches the bio-bubble, he/she would be asked to complete a seven-day compulsory quarantine on their first offence and no match fee would be paid to them for the number of matches they missed during that period. 
    Their second offence would attract a one-match ban in addition to the compulsory seven-day quarantine. On their offence, the guilty party would be kicked out of the competition straight away and the franchise would not get any replacement.

    Heavy Fines & Sanction For The FranchisesThe BCCI has prohibited teams from allowing any outsider inside their bio-bubble and if they do so, they would have to suffer serious consequences.
    At the first count of offence, they would have to pay Rs 1 crore. If repeated again, one point will be deducted from their points tally and the third offence of similar nature would mean a deduction of two points from their table.

    Learning From PastThese sanctions come in the wake of what happened last year. The COVID-19 cases were on the rise in the country but BCCI kept on conducting matches at eight different venues across India, turning a blind eye.
    Eventually, the tournament had to be suspended mid-way after Covid cases started to emerge inside the IPL bio-bubble. The BCCI was lucky that it somehow found a window in an already packed calendar and were able to complete the tournament.

    The cases are on a decline throughout the country but given the unpredictable nature of this virus, the BCCI doesn’t want to take any chances and has limited the league phase to just four venues in Maharashtra.

    ‘No-Nonsense’ ApproachMost of the fans felt that these sanctions were too harsh but they also understood why the BCCI had no other option but to implement them.
    The Indian board doesn’t want to avoid another repeat of IPL 2021 and feels that these strict provisions will make the players or any other team member think twice before thinking about breaking the bio-bubble.
    This time looks likes whole season will happen in one time, unlike previous seasons. So many strict rules.

    Former Russian tennis sensation Maria Sharapova, former Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher, and 11 others have come under the crosshairs of the Gurgaon police. Cops from the district filed a case against them as directed by court order due to the allegations of fraud and criminal controversy hurled at them. The complainant is a Delhi-based woman.
    A resident of Chattarpur Mini Farm in New Delhi, Shafali Agarwal’s complaint was based on a real estate investment gone bad. 
    Shafali alleges that she had booked an apartment in a project named after Maria Sharapova. There was another tower in the project that was named after Michael Schumacher as well. Based on initial commitments made to Shafali, the project should have been completed by 2016, but to no avail. 
    Now, she’s accusing these international celebrities of colluding to fraud, via association and promotion of the project.

    Formerly, she had lodged a complaint in a Gurgaon court against  M/S Realtech Development and Infrastructure (INDIA) Pvt. Ltd, other developers, Sharapova and Schumacher for cheating her out of nearly ₹ 80 lakh.

    She says in her complaint, "We came to know about the project through advertisements and reached out to the company management after pictures of the project and a lot of false promises were made," 
    Shafali, the complainant, put forward her case before the court, stating that she and her husband had booked a residential apartment in the project named after the tennis legend in Sector 73, Gurgaon. However, she raised the issue that the developer cheated the couple out of their hard-earned money by tricking them to put money into a project that was never meant to be completed. 
    The FIR against Sharapova and Schumacher has been registered as per Sections 34 (common intention), 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 406 (criminal breach of trust), and 420 (cheating) of the IPC at the Badshahpur police station.

    Based on the case filed by Shafali, she has alleged that Sharapova and Schumacher were promoters of the project and co-conspirators with the buyers. Ms Agarwal added that the former tennis star had visited the site, then promising the opening of a tennis academy and sports store in the project.

    The complaint reads, "It was mentioned in the brochure that she is promoting the project, and she also made false promises, had dinner parties with the buyers, and all this was done for the project, which never took off,"

    After delivering the first post-pandemic Bollywood hit with Sooryavanshi, Akshay Kumar is now coming up with his first masala entertainer in almost a decade with Farhad Samji’s Bachchhan Paandey. 
    Co-starring Arshad Warsi, Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez, Bachchhan Paandey was expected to be the second film to break the box office post the success of Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi, but then came a huge surprise in the form of Mithun Chakraborty starrer The Kashmir Files. 
    The Vivek Agnihotri directorial not only received a positive response from the audience, but it also exceeded expectations as far as box office numbers were concerned. In just 6 days of its release, the film has collected Rs 79.25 crore and the momentum is still going strong.

    With the unthinkable success of The Kashmir Files, there have been concerns if the film will pose a threat to Bachchhan Paandey and play spoilsport. 

    Expressing his concern over the same, film trade analyst Amul V Mohan told India Today, “It is going to definitely affect Bachchhan Paandey's opening day collection. The trajectory that The Kashmir Files is on right now, it will definitely go on to affect the opening numbers on March 18. Traditionally, it is Rs 27 crore to Rs 30 crore a day. But the way The Kashmir Files is behaving at the box office (every subsequent day, the collection is higher than the previous day), is unprecedented in simple trade numbers. We have never seen film phenomena like this. We have also revised the box office numbers, seeing the trend which is going on right now. We have adjusted the estimated opening day number of Bachchhan Paandey drastically to accommodate this one. It will definitely affect the collection simply because of the way The Kashmir Files is performing right now.”

    However, film exhibitor and trade analyst Akshaye Rathi is of a different opinion. He believes that The Kashmir Files and Bachchhan Paandey cater to different audiences. He told the website, “Both are going to stand their ground. A lot of people feel that Bachchhan Paandey will now have a hard time, but I don't think so, because Bachchhan Paandey again is a movie that will take a very good opening and do well at the box office, at least on its first weekend. It's not that people can only watch one movie or only want to watch one movie, if The Kashmir Files has an audience of its own, so does Akshay Kumar and Bachchhan Paandey”. 

    Bachchhan Paandey will release in theatres on March 18.

    Arshad Warsi is one Bollywood actor who knows how to play funny and serious characters really, really well. 
    No one can deny that Arshad's comic timing is brilliant which is the reason we love watching so many of his movies including Rohit Shetty's Golmaal series.

    Now, while Arshad has had his fair share of ups and downs in his Bollywood career, he's done a lot of great movies. Not just that, the actor has even done web series with Asur being one the critically rated TV shows.

    Talking about some of his iconic roles, we can't take out his character of Circuit from Munnabhai MBBS that starred Sanjay Dutt.

    He played the character so well that we remember the movie for him as much as we do for Sanju baba! However, Arshad recently shared his thoughts on the role and even went to the extent of calling it 'stupid'. 

    Well, here is what he said. “I did Munna Bhai because it was Sanju (Sanjay Dutt), otherwise even Raju (filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani) knows that it is a stupid role. It really is on paper, it was nothing. Even Makarand Deshpande had said no to Circuit!” he said while speaking to the Indian Express. 
    Arshad's portrayal of Sarkeshwar "Circuit" Sharma in the 2003 film got him a lot of popularity with fans with the actor even winning a Filmfare Awards for Best Supporting Actor in Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006). 
    The actor also revealed what are the factors he considers while taking up movie projects.  
    “I listen to any script purely as an audience member. Would I want to see what I am doing? It can be any genre, it could be anything, but it should be something the audience would like to watch. After listening to the story, it is your gut feeling that tells you if you want to do that film or not.” 
    Arshad will now be seen alongside Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Kriti Sanon in Bachchhan Pandey which is set to release on March 18 on Holi.
