Before the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, Kangana Ranaut had slammed Alia Bhatt and stated that 'Rs 200 crore will be burnt to ashes' once the film releases.
However, when the film collected well at the box office post-release and turned out to be a hit, Kangana raised doubts about the film's box office collection.
Recently, she took to Instagram and praised the unprecedented box office run of Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files starring Mithun Chakraborty and Anupam Kher. She further slammed 'Bullydawood' accusing them of not supporting or praising the film despite its huge box office.

Now, she has again taken to Instagram and called The Kashmir Files the “first successful and profitable Hindi film in theatres post-pandemic” and ignored previous Hindi hits like Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi.

She wrote, “#TheKashmirFiles is the first successful and profitable Hindi film in theatres post pandemic…. I am telling you all this because movie mafia their chatukar and their bikau media won’t tell you … no one from the industry will applaud or appreciate it so I am doing my bit.”

Well, The Kashmir Files has turned out to be a huge hit and is probably the most profitable film of the year but it is definitely not the first successful Hindi film post-pandemic.

Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif was the first successful Hindi film followed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi starring Alia Bhatt.
Kangana had also shared a graphic of The Kashmir Files’ worldwide box office collection and wrote, “First successful film post pandemic, Isko kehte hain sachchi wali blockbuster”.
    Check out her story below:

The Kashmir Files released alongside Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer Radhe Shyam and outperformed the period romantic drama by a margin.

Defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) kick-start the IPL 2022 as they take on last year’s runners-up Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on March 26 at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
A bunch of CSK players, including the skipper MS Dhoni, have already begun their preparations for the tournament. Instead of their home venue in Chennai, they have all assembled at Surat’s Lalbhai Contractor Stadium.
    View this post on Instagram
With their opening match less than two weeks away, their preparation is in full swing but all is not rosy for the four-time winners.
Their biggest concern of the franchise heading into their new season is that they don’t have any clue about the fitness update of two of their key players Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj Gaikwad.

    — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) September 19, 2021
Even the franchise’s CEO Kasi Viswanathan couldn’t tell when the two players would be joining the squad. The only update he has is that both the players are currently at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.
“We are not aware of their current fitness status and won't be able to tell you when they would join the squad,” Vishwanathan was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
    View this post on Instagram
He also stated that both the players are under the BCCI’s supervision and they would be intimidated once they clear all the necessary fitness tests.
“Obviously, the BCCI has told us that once they are match-fit, they would intimate us. They are at the NCA currently,” he explained.
    View this post on Instagram
Both the players, who had suffered injuries during the white-ball series against the West Indies last month, haven’t joined the CSK pre-tournament camp in Surat and are undergoing rehabilitation at the NCA, which is headed by legendary batter VVS Laxman.
Gaikwad, who won the Orange Cap last year, had complained of wrist pain on his right hand last month and was ruled out of the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka.
    View this post on Instagram
Chahar, who is CSK’s most expensive purchase in auction history, had suffered a quadriceps injury on his right leg and is most likely to be out for at least six to eight weeks, if not more.
There were reports which claimed that the medium pacer’s injury was so serious that it could rule him out of the whole tournament. Even if that’s not true, it’s almost certain that he will miss at least half of the matches.
    View this post on Instagram
Missing even one of these two star players would be a major blow to the second most decorated franchise in IPL history and their bid to defend their title successfully. However, the CSK fans would hope that the new signings raise their hand and do the job for them.

Early in his career, there was a time when even Aamir Khan used to do multiple films in a single year. However, in the late ‘90s, he decided to go for quality over quantity and by the ‘00s, he opted to work on only one film at a time.
Since he made this change in his career, Aamir has been unstoppable at the box office. So much so, that in the last 22 years, Aamir has delivered only three duds - Mela (2000), Mangal Pandey: The Rising (2005) and Thugs of Hindostan (2018).
Often touted as a perfectionist of Bollywood, Aamir Khan is now returning to the big screen after four years with Laal Singh Chaddha, an official Hindi remake of 1994 cult Hollywood classic Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks.
However, a lesser-known fact is that Laal Singh Chaddha isn’t the first Hollywood remake that Aamir is starring in. It is probably the first official one because Aamir has a long list of popular films that were copied from Hollywood starting from the early ‘90s.
Here’s a look at 12 popular Aamir Khan starrers that were Hollywood remakes:
    1. Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin (1991)   © T-Series
Directed by Mahesh Bhatt, Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin starred Aamir Khan and Pooja Bhatt and was an unofficial remake of the 1934 Hollywood film It Happened One Night.

    2. Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992)  © Nasir Hussain Films
One of Aamir Khan’s most loved films of all time, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar was inspired by the 1979 Hollywood film Breaking Away. The Hindi remake was directed by Mansoor Khan and also starred Deepak Tijori, Ayesha Jhulka and Pooja Bedi.

    3. Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (1993)  © Tahir Hussain Enterprises
Aamir Khan co-wrote the screenplay of this Mahesh Bhatt directorial that was an unofficial remake of the 1958 Hollywood film House Boat.

The film also starred Juhi Chawla and Kunal Kemmu as child actors.
    4. Baazi (1995)   © Aftab Pictures
Before the Academy Award-nominated Lagaan, Aamir Khan worked with director Ashutosh Gowariker in this 1995 action thriller that took inspiration from the 1988 cult hit Die Hard.

The film also starred Mamta Kulkarni, Paresh Rawal, Ashish Vidyarthi and Mukesh Rishi.
    5. Aatank Hi Aatank (1995)  © Suyash Films Pvt.Ltd
Aamir Khan also starred in the remake of one of the greatest films of all time The Godfather (1972). Directed by Dilip Shankar, Aamir played the character inspired by Al Pacino’s Michael Corleone.

The film also starred Rajinikanth in a prominent role.
    6. Akele Hum Akele Tum (1995)  © Venus Movies
It seems like 1995 was a year of Hollywood remakes for Aamir Khan as he starred in Mansoor Khan’s Akele Hum Akele Tum alongside Manisha Koirala.

The film was an unofficial remake of the 1979 Academy Award-winning film Kramer vs Kramer.
    7. Ghulam (1998)  © Vishesh Films
Directed by Vikram Bhatt, the much-loved film starred Aamir Khan, Rani Mukerji and Sharat Saxena. Produced by Mukesh Bhatt, Ghulam was a remake of Mahesh Bhatt’s 1988 film Kabzaa starring Sanjay Dutt, which was a copy of 1954 Marlon Brando starrer On The Waterfront.

    8. Mann (1999)   © Maruti International
Starring Aamir Khan, Manisha Koirala and Anil Kapoor, Mann was directed by Indra Kumar. The film was heavily inspired by the 1957 Hollywood film An Affair To Remember.

    9. Rang De Basanti (2006)   © Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Pictures
Well, not exactly a remake but the basic plot of the film where a group of students create a play/ documentary seems to be inspired by the 1989 film Jesus of Montreal.

The Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra directorial also seems to have taken inspiration from the 1948 film All My Sons.
    10. Fanaa (2006)  © Yashraj Films
Starring Aamir Khan and Kajol, the second half of Fanaa seems to be inspired by the 1981 Hollywood film Eye of the Needle and the 1999 Korean film Shiri.

    11. Ghajini (2008)  © Geetha Arts
Starring Aamir Khan, Asin, Jiah Khan and Pradeep Rawat, Ghajini was a remake of a Tamil film of the same name that was heavily inspired by Christopher Nolan’s breakout film Memento (2000).

    12. Dhoom 3 (2013)  © Yash Raj Films
The third instalment in the Dhoom franchise took inspiration from Christopher Nolan’s 2006 film The Prestige.

A few years ago, the world was hit by one of the biggest social movements of all, the #MeToo movement, which was a social movement against sexual abuse and sexual harassment where people from all across the world publicized allegations of sexual crimes against them.

    © Istock
Now, while there were huge revelations from all sectors of work, one of the most prominent ones came from Hollywood, the American film industry.

At the centre of all the allegations fell the name of Harvey Weinstein, with top actresses like Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lawrence, Cara Delevingne and so many others speaking against him.
    © Reuters
The whole scandal rocked Hollywood and the rest of the world to the core, showcasing horrible experiences faced by so many at the hands of a sexual assaulter like Weinstein.

Now, while the cases mostly pertained to Hollywood, there was a name of a Bollywood actress who also sprung up in connection with Weinstein's atrocities.
According to reports, it was revealed that Weinstein tried very hard to get some 'alone time' with Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai
    © Instagram/Aishwarya Rai
As per reports, Aishwarya and her actor husband Abhishek Bachchan had flown to attend the Cannes Internation Film Festival in 2014, after which they were seen together with Harvey Weinstein and Georgina Chapman.

    © Twitter
It was then that it was reported that Weinstein wanted to have Aishwarya in a room alone.

Aishwarya had worked in international projects like Bride & Prejudice, Mistress of Spices and The Pink Panther 2, and Simone Sheffield, who claimed to be Aishwarya's former managers, revealed how Harvey tried everything to speak to her alone.
In a comment in response to a Variety news story, Sheffield wrote:
"I use(d) to manage Indian actress Aishwarya Rai. While dealing with Harvey, I found it comical how hard he tried to get Aishwarya alone. But he was a pig... Looked and acted like a 'big bully pig'. He asked me to leave the meeting numerous times and I politely declined.
"When we were leaving his (Weinstein's) office, he cornered me and said, 'What do I have to do to get her alone?' I told him to 'kiss my black ass'. When Ash and I returned to our hotel, I sent Harvey a steel pig trough filled with diet coke as a thank you gift for the meeting. Yes, we did do business and yes, he eventually threatened me. Told me I'd never work in this business, blah blah blah (sic). What I said to him I can't print. But you can be sure, I never gave him the opportunity to even breathe on my client."
The whole account sounds so scary. Thank God, Aishwarya's agent saved her.

Gujarat Titans, one of the two new franchises who will be making their debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL), launched their jersey in a grand event at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday (March 13). Their skipper Hardik Pandya, director of cricket Vikram Solanki, head coach Ashish Nehra were present at the venue among other stakeholders of the team.

The event was hosted by cricket presenter Vikram Sathaye and the jersey launch show was a hit and fans poured love on social media.
We ‘launched’ our jersey last night, quite literally!

    Here’s a quick snapshot of the event!#GujaratTitans pic.twitter.com/zGhY0jKyU3
    — Gujarat Titans (@gujarat_titans) March 14, 2022
The IPL 2022 will see 10 teams participating as compared to eight in the previous season and while there is excitement among fans regarding the T20 extravaganza, controversy has already hit one of the new franchises -- Gujarat Titans -- even before the start of the tournament.
Vikram Sathaye's remarks regarding women cricket fans caught the attention of social media users and they let their frustration known on Twitter.
Live is Live ! So happy to be on stage after so long at the Jersey launch of @gujarat_titans ! #GujaratTitans Super fun chat with @hardikpandya7 #Nehraji and #Vikramsolanki pic.twitter.com/hc9bOixNMQ
    — Vikram Sathaye (@vikramsathaye) March 13, 2022 "My theory on cricket is, couples don't fight each other because of cricket. Because three months men will be watching cricket. The other day my aunt came and said to me, you know three months he will not talk to me. I said good for you. I tell my aunt if you don't want your husband to play games with you, let him watch cricket and everything will be good in the family," Vikram Sathaye said.
"Having said that a lot women watch the sport and many couples tell me that this is the only thing they do as a couple."
    Watch the video here:

Fans called out the sexist jokes made by the cricket presenter and demanded an apology from him for his stereotypical mindset.
He is still making 20 year old jokes. https://t.co/4OKKLZfHVN
    — Cricket baba (@Cricketbaba5) March 14, 2022So @vikramsathaye hasn't yet apologised for this.. https://t.co/QZ15vYHbQk
    — Adarsh (@Adarsh__ash) March 14, 2022This is not even funny. None in audience seem involved in this stereotypical 90s tirade.
    — Predictably Irrational (@IrrationalDesi) March 14, 2022He shouldn't be spared now. This is utterly disgusting and unacceptable behaviour. https://t.co/cXz4YHZF4o
    — (@choccolava__) March 14, 2022in a big 2022 this is what a cricket presenter has to say. This field is hitting new lows everyday. https://t.co/pfInEsbr7B
    — Prajakta (@18prajakta) March 13, 2022We have seen what such remarks could lead to when Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya's controversial comments saw him receiving a ban from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Hardik had to issue an apology after being asked to go back home from the tour of Australia in 2019. KL Rahul, who will be seen leading Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2022, was also banned by the BCCI as he was also present at the popular celebrity talk show with Pandya.
"I would like to apologise to everyone concerned who I may have hurt in any way. Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show. In no way did I mean to disrespect or hurt anyone's sentiments. Respect," Hardik had written in his public apology on Twitter.
In today's day and age when every comment is closely monitored if you are a renowned name, such remarks about women were a classic example of brain fade by the cricket presenter.

There’s a reason why Aamir Khan is called the perfectionist of Bollywood.
It’s because he is a jack of all trades and nails every role he does on-screen with utmost conviction.
Not just his acting, but he switches up his looks in every film that often stays with the audience and is copied by masses even after years.
    © Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Pictures
Be it his glorious ’stache in Mangal Pandey or his alienesque outfits in PK, his looks speak for the characters he plays.

Some of the looks from his movies have become a huge trend as well that were imitated by several Indian men.
On the actor’s 57th birthday, here’s looking back at some of the most impressionable looks from his movies that became big trends.
    © Excel Entertainment
Here are five style trends that Aamir Khan single-handedly popularised in his career:

    1. Goatee in Dil Chahta Hai © Excel Entertainment
If we had a penny for each time we saw a guy walking on the street with a goatee like Aamir had in Dil Chahta Hai, we would have enough money to produce the actor’s next film.

The movie gave many style goals but Aamir’s goatee and spiky short hair stood out completely.
    2. The Sailor Cap In Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin © T-Series
The nautical style is huge right now but Aamir did it before it was cool.

His character in Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, Raghu had a unique style and his signature look included a navy cap which got so popular that it was everywhere in the local stores back in the 90s. Everybody wanted it!
    3. The Ghajini Cut © Geetha Arts
It only took a poster of the movie for guys to flock to the salons to get the buzz cut just like Aamir.

It’s funny because he wasn’t trying to serve a hairstyle trend. The character gets this look after sustaining injuries on the head in the film.
It was an accidental trend that Aamir started and it got HUGE!
    4. The Stole Look In Fanaa © Yash Raj Films
If there’s anyone who can make a humble stole look like a trend you’d want to copy, it is Aamir and his look in Fanaa is proof.

He is a tour guide who wears a shirt, denim jackets and a quirky stole wrapped around his neck. This became an iconic look and revived the stole trend in menswear.
    5. His Hairstyle In Rang De Basanti © Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Pictures
His character in the film was carefree, funny and stylish and thus his look too was in line with a young college-goer.

He again switched up his hair and rocked messy, curly, slightly longer hair that was too cool for school and became the most copied look among college-going guys at the time.
