The Kashmir Files, written and directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, finally hit the theatres last week and is doing record-breaking business at the box office. The film has also been getting rave reviews from both critics and moviegoers. Before its release, Agnihotri had accused comedian Kapil Sharma of not inviting the film’s team to The Kapil Sharma Show as the cast lacked “commercial big stars”.

Later, in a tweet, the comedian had urged people to not believe one-sided stories, however, netizens trolled him and called for the boycott of The Kapil Sharma Show. Trolls even dragged Bollywood superstar Salman Khan into the whole controversy since he is producing the comedy show.

Now, Anupam Kher has finally broken his silence on Vivek Agnihotri's claims. The veteran actor, who is playing a pivotal role in The Kashmir Files, cleared the air while speaking to Times Now and shared that he was invited to promote the film on Kapil's show around two months ago. But, he refused it as the nature of The Kashmir Files is quite serious.

He said, "Ye film bari serious hai, I do not want to be a part of the show. But I have to say, Kapil does not have any malice towards us or towards the film".

    Reacting to Kher's statement, Kapil thanked him in a tweet for clarifying the allegations. He tweeted, "Thank you paji @anupampkher for clarifying all the false allegations against me ? और उन सब दोस्तों का भी शुक्रिया जिन्होंने बिना सच जाने मुझे इतनी मोहब्बत दी ? खुश रहिए, मुस्कुराते रहिये ? #thekapilsharmashow #Isupportmyself ? #kapilsharma," the ace comedian wrote.

We wonder how Vivek Agnihotri would react to it.
For the unversed, The Kashmir Files revolves around the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990 during the Kashmir Insurgency. Besides critics and audience, the film is also getting appreciation from various Bollywood celebrities including Kangana Ranaut, Akshay Kumar, and Yami Gautam.

The article mentions how Shah Rukh Khan helped a Kashmiri Pandit family who was in dire need of financial aid.

According to DNA, Deepak Raina and his family migrated from Sogam, Anantnag, to Delhi in 1990 post the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits.
In July 2015, he met with a road accident while returning to Delhi from Jammu.
Deepak’s mother Sheila, unfortunately, passed away on the spot while he, along with his wife Neenu and 2-year-old daughter, was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Delhi.
Sharing the details about their accident, Deepak’s brother-in-law told the website, “Neenu was in coma, Deepak’s was critical and the child was numb below the waist. The family could not afford the cost of treatment which was in lakhs”.
Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, who is from Kashmir, called up Shah Rukh Khan asking for his help and shortly received a cheque of Rs 3 lakh.
Ashoke stated, “To my utter surprise, Shah Rukh Khan called me up and offered to help in whatever way possible. Within two days I received a cheque from Gauri Khan”.
Deepak’s brother-in-law added, “We are indebted to Shah Rukh Khan for helping us in time of need”.
Pandit also revealed that Shah Rukh Khan has earlier as well responded to calls for a 10-year-old boy who was a cancer patient “but before we could do anything, the boy died. Shah Rukh was pained to learn of his death”.
