The contemporary ‘chill’ hit ‘Shaam’ from 2010’s film Aisha is a song that very few can forget. Whether you’re a Gen Z or a Millennial, odds are that it has undoubtedly found a soft corner in your hearts thanks to the absolute dreamy vibe it creates. Full marks to the collective genius of Neuman Pinto, Amit Trivedi, Nikhil D'Souza for creating such a memorable track.
So, it makes perfect sense for 'Shaam' to be this week’s challenge on Smule 123 Riyaaz. The beauty of the song lies in its simplicity, which requires a certain ability to ‘feel’ the tune rather than mechanically ‘perform’ it. If you’re up for the challenge then read ahead as the mentors, Aastha Gill, Amaal Mallik, and Lisa Mishra are waiting for you to perform alongside them.
To send in your entries, all you need to do is download the Smule app onto your phone, click on the ‘123 Riyaaz’ banner, sing a duet with your fave mentor, and become a part of their tribe.

Ahead of the release of their film Bachchhan Paandey, Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi along with Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez and director Farhad Samji attended a press conference.
During the presscon, Akshay was asked to say a few words about his experience of working with Arshad Warsi.
Talking about Arshad, Akshay said, “Arshad miyan ke baare mein main yeh kahoonga ki sabse pehle experience raha ki jab meri Jolly LLB release hone waali thi.. (I’d say about Arshad that my experience with him was when my Jolly LLB was about to release…)” Arshad then interrupted Akshay as he quipped, “Meri Jolly LLB, you mean… (You mean, my Jolly LLB)” leaving everyone present at the event in splits.

He then went and hugged Akshay while laughing as the latter continued, “Meri Jolly LLB jab release hone waali toh logo ne likh diya ki hum dono ka jhagda hai. Main isse baat kar raha tha kyunki jab main karne bhi waala tha movie tab bhi maine isse baat ki thi right? Toh main yehi dekh raha tha ki kaise log kuch bhi likh dete hain. Bina kuch jaane. Un logon ne yeh socha hoga chalo yeh Jolly LLB 2 kar raha hai toh zaroor inka jhagda laga do. Toh yeh experience yahaan se shuru hua tha aur bahut hi mazakiya kism ke insaan hain yeh. Hamesh haste rehte hain, muskurate rehte hain. Kabhi bhi inki zindagi mein koi dull moment nahin raha aur khaane peene ka bahut shauk rakhte hain. Bahut hi mazaa aaya inke saath kaam karke and I hope I will be working with him again. (Before the release of my Jolly LLB, the media wrote about our feud which wasn’t true. In fact, I had called him before signing the film. He is extremely funny and always has a smile on his face. There is not a single dull moment when he is around and I hope we work together in future again).”

    Watch the video below:

Released in 2013, Jolly LLB starred Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani, Amrita Rao and Saurabh Shukla. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the film opened to positive reviews and turned out to be the surprise hit of the year.

However, in 2017, for its sequel, Jolly LLB 2, makers replaced Arshad with Akshay Kumar and roped in Huma Qureshi and Annu Kapoor while Saurabh Shukla returned to the franchise.

The sequel too was helmed by Subhash Kapoor and was even a bigger hit than the original.

There weren't many actresses who made as big an impact as Amrita Rao right after their debut.
I mean, in all honesty, Amrita made her presence felt while doing her first film alongside Bollywood heartthrob Shahid Kapoor, with both actors making their debut in 2003's Ishq Vishk.

It was just the start for Amrita, however, who eventually starred opposite Shahid in other movies as well, with Vivaah being one of them.

Not only that, Amrita then starred in the very popular Main Hoon Na alongside Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, with the movie being a big hit with fans and critics.

As things went, Amrita felt like she was right where she wanted in Bollywood, however, when you look back at all the time that has passed, you won't see the talented actresses starring in many.

Well, this is because, to the surprise of her fans, Amrita called it quits from Bollywood.
But why? For an actress who was so popular once wanted to star in a big YRF banner film, why did Amrita choose to cut short her career?
Well, the actor herself revealed the answer to this question.
Amrita, who was last seen in Thackeray (2019) revealed that she revealed the decision was due to a mix of reasons.
It was reported that her husband RJ Anmol had asked her to quit films, and when asked about it, here is what she said.

“That’s true. At that point, Anmol could see I was declining some huge movie offers only because I wasn’t comfortable doing kissing scenes and lovemaking sequences on screen. Hence, he thought it was the right time to focus on exploring a beautiful personal life and tying the knot. He did ask me to quit my career and I was completely shattered. However, in a day or two, he told me that in hindsight, he realized that demand was unreasonable and that he was sorry about it.” said Amrita while speaking to TOI.

Really sad when you think about it.
I mean, she really had all the talent in the world and her fans clearly loved watching her in films. But you never know, maybe she will mark a comeback soon...
