    I have a pet dog and I am absolutely unafraid to say that dogs have been by far the most loyal and loving companions one can ever find. 
    Yes, they’re different from us, they care more about food and sleep than stressing about their tomorrow. For them, love is as pure as sticking around with their humans for better or worse. And there are times when they would bark unnecessarily (or so it would seem to us) into the night, but not like humans don’t ever do the same.

    Except, the difference between humans and dogs is that, dogs won’t get up one day in the wee hours of the night to stab a human to death. Unlike this man who allegedly stabbed a poor dog to death all because he was ‘irritated’ with a stray dog’s barking.

    A stray dog was stabbed to death by a man in Delhi's Kalyanpuri area. The accused has told the police that the dog used to bark often due to which he committed this incident after getting irritated. Police registered a case under sections of cruelty on animals, police said

    The horrific incident took place in the Kalyanpuri area of Delhi and the police told ANI that, “The dog used to bark often due to which he committed this incident after getting irritated. 
    Now, I get that barking can be frustrating. You’re tired, maybe you need a goodnight’s sleep and when you’re constantly irked by a dog barking in the distance, it makes you furious. However, there could’ve been plenty of ways to go about it, than to kill someone in cold blood. 
    You can always call PETA, animal welfare organizations, animal dedicated NGOs and several other such organizations who are happy to step in and find a solution that would never involve killing them. And if nothing works, there are always earplugs.

    After all, you need to be dead inside to be capable of taking someone’s life without flinching.

    With the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League all set to begin in 10 days, the fans from different franchises are submitting their predictions for the season on Twitter only to claim eternal glory if and when they turn out to be true.
    One of the biggest predictions made by an MS Dhoni fan on the micro-blogging website is that the 40-year old Chennai Super Kings captain will end up with more runs under his belt than the former captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore, Virat Kohli.
    MS Dhoni will score more runs than Virat Kohli in IPL 2022.

    In the previous season, while CSK and Dhoni went on to win their fourth IPL championship, the Kohli-led RCB finished third in the points table while getting defeated by Eoin Morgan’s Kolkata Knight Riders in a playoff upset.
    In terms of personal stats, MS Dhoni struggled to put a lot of runs on the board by himself. Having played in 16 matches, Dhoni’s highest single-innings score was 18*. He averaged 16.28 and his strike rate also took a 10 point drop since the 2020 season. In the entire season, Dhoni amassed 114 runs - which was his worst year in the league ever.

    On the other hand, Kohli played 15 matches, scored 405 runs with an average of 28.92, a strike rate of 119.46 and a high score of 72* in a single-innings.
    Another important aspect while comparing the two batters is the batting positions at which they ended the pitch. While Dhoni, a traditional finisher for his side, played around the batting order between the number 6 and number 7 spots, Kohli had promoted himself even higher up the batting order and had decided to open the RCB innings alongside Devdutt Padikkal.

    This had a huge impact on the difference in the number of balls Dhoni and Kohli faced by batting. While Dhoni faced only 107 balls during his time on the pitch, Kohli faced 339 official deliveries at the crease.
    If one were to learn anything from the past, it is that while Dhoni will continue to demote himself down the batting order, Kohli will be asked by his newly crowned skipper, Faf de Plessis, to play as a top-order batter because that is exactly where Kohli knows how to perform to the best of his abilities.

    Therefore, in order for Dhoni to score more than Kohli by the end of the regular season, he would have to go ballistics and smash a hit multiple sixes while only being able to face very few balls or Kohli would have to have a really terrible IPL season.

    Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files is not only a massive box office success but has also been receiving all-round acclaim from the audience, celebs and politicians alike. 
    Recently, Mahabharat and Shaktimaan fame Mukesh Khanna watched the film and was all praise for it. 
    Coming out of a screening of the film, he told paps that The Kashmir Files is more than a film, it depicts reality. He rated the film 10 out of 10 and went on to praise director Vivek Agnihotri and actors Darshan Kumar and Anupam Kher for their performances.

    Khanna further slammed the government for not helping Kashmiri Pandits in 32 years of their exodus, and called out Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not fulfilling his promise about helping Kashmiri Pandits return to their land. 

    He said, “Yeh sarkar ki galti hai main bolunga. Kya kiya sarkar ne? Mujhe yaad hai Modi ji ne 2014 mein jab jeete they toh kaha tha ki, ‘Main Hindu Panditon ko sthapit karwaunga’. Maine us waqt kaha tha agar inhonein Kashmiri Panditon ko sthapit karwa diya na yeh superhero ban jayenge. But afsos hai aath saal aur beet chuke hai abhi yeh Kashmiri Pandit apne aap ko sharanarthi maanta hai. Sharam aani chahiye humein. (This is the government's fault I’d say. What has the government done for Kashmiri Pandits? I remember Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised after his 2014 win that he will help KPs but sadly it’s been eight years and they still consider them refugees in their own country. We should be ashamed of ourselves.)” 
    He went on to praise Vivek Agnihotri saying he did more for Kashmiri Pandits than the government of India, “Mujhe yeh film nahin lagi main ek second apni aankhein nahin hata saka. So yeh logon ko appeal kar rahi hai. Jo sarkar nahin kar saki, Vivek Agnihotri ne karke dikhaya. This is the success. People should know about this genocide. (Not even for a second I took my eyes away from the screen while watching The Kashmir Files. The film is appealing to the audience. Vivek Agnihotri did for KPs what the government couldn’t do.)”

    He also praised the film for showing “harsh reality” and praised Darshan Kumar calling him the best performer in the film. 

    He also slammed mainstream Bollywood celebs for not promoting the film.

    Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who recently wrapped up the Tiger 3 shoot, has already started work on his next project. Interestingly, he has joined Chiranjeevi on the sets of Jayam Mohan Raja's Godfather. Taking to social media, the South superstar himself confirmed the news and welcomed the Dabangg star on sets.
    Tweeting a picture with Salman, Chiranjeevi welcomed him on board and wrote, "Welcome aboard #Godfather, Bhai @BeingSalmanKhan! Your entry has energized everyone & the excitement has gone to next level. Sharing screen with you is an absolute joy. Your presence will no doubt give that magical #KICK to the audience".

    In the picture, Chiranjeevi looks happy as he welcomes Salman with a bouquet of flowers. While nothing much is yet known about Salman's role in Godfather, there is a buzz that the actor might be doing a cameo in the upcoming film. 
    This update has left most of their fans happy, however, a section of social media users aren't too kicked about it. Reacting to the news, a Twitter user wrote, "BOSS and Salman... all the best (thumbs-up emojis)... eagerly waiting for your combination".

    Later, VV Vinayak was signed to direct it, however, he too left the project to direct Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas’ Chatrapathi remake in Hindi. At last, Jayam Mohan Raja was roped in to helm it.

    Many Bollywood celebrities including Kangana Ranaut, Akshay Kumar, and Yami Gautam too are appreciating the makers for helming a heart-wrenching film based on Kashmiri Pandits. Swara Bhasker, on the other hand, recently took a dig at the film's director and alleged that the high IMDb rating of The Kashmir Files is fake. However, netizens trolled her for her remarks.

    While she didn't specify if she's talking about The Kashmir Files or not, social media users connected her tweet to the film and criticised her. The post has left netizens wondering if she took a dig at the film.  
    Reacting to her tweet, a social media user tweeted, "If anyone believes that #TheKashmiriFiles is a propaganda movie. I suggest, go watch it first. Then conduct your own research, read books, watch documentaries, and all you will find is an extension of the true reality shown in this movie". 
    Another Twitter user wrote, "Showing the truth to the society is propaganda...wahhhh madam... .u can't accept the truth" 
    A third tweet reads, "Expected thaa yeh tweet... Kashmir files is the best movie till date and u can go and argue wid the wall!!"

    With Warner Bros. and DC really kicking off things with the blockbuster release of Robert Pattinson's new The Batman film, it was clearly now Marvel Studios' turn to throw their cards out on the table. 
    And well, they seemed to have done just that with the new trailer of the upcoming superhero show, Ms Marvel.

    The trailer for the latest Marvel series was clearly a very exciting one and here are a few things that we noticed in it. 

    1. First Teenage Muslim-American Superhero © Marvel Studios
    The trailer puts everything in perspective when it comes to the current generation.

    Ms Marvel introduces Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, a resident of Jersey City who's a massive Avengers fan, with the trailer then going on to show snippets of her journey of becoming the first Muslim-American teenage superhero, at least in the cinematic universe.
    As soon as the trailer kicks off, we can see Kamala trying to balance her school life, crushes, and her obsession with superheroes, for which her school friends find her weird.
    2. No Sign Of Farhan Akhtar Or Fawad Khan Yet © Twitter
    One of the reasons why the show is talked about a lot in India is basically because it's said to be the debut of Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar and Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan. 

    However, so far in the trailer, we looked closely, and while there were many characters who were basically Asian, Farhan and Fawad missed out. 
    Hopefully, Marvel has a surprise for us in the next trailer, as it usually does. 
    3. Kamala Follows In The Footsteps Of Captain Marvel © Marvel Studios
    In the trailer, we can see Kamala adoring Avengers member Captain Marvel, and how even when she's talking to her school counsellor at the start, she can be seen imagining donning her costume to save the city. 

    However, things obviously become a whole lot more interesting when she almost manifests the role as she gains cosmic powers of her own. 
    Now, we already have had a teenage superhero, Tom Holland's Spider-Man, who really became the face of Marvel in Spider-Man: No Way Home. 
    It looks like Ms Marvel series could head in the same direction. 
    4. A Potential Connection To The New Moon Knight Series © Marvel Studios
    Just at the start of the trailer, we get to see a detailed show of one of Kamala's doodles in her notebook, in which she's scribbled a lot of things.

    Well, if you look at it closely, just beside her notebook, there's a shot of a textbook named Ancient Egypt.
     Now, if you know about Marvel's new Moon Night series, you'd know that it will revolve around Oscar Isaac's character who is a warrior priest of Khonsu, an Egyptian God.
    As seen before, Marvel really integrates shows and movies well on the screen, and we may just be getting our newest team by the looks of things right now.
    All in all, the trailer is something that will connect to a lot of Gen-Zs and it will surely add a different dynamic to the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward.
    Ms Marvel releases on the Disney+ platform on June 08.
