Virat Kohli is all set to play his 100th Test match and while the game will be played behind closed doors, the Punjab Cricket Association is leaving no stone unturned to create the hype for the former India captain's milestone Test. The PCA has put up hoardings along the roads that lead to the stadium.

Kohli, who was rested from the T20I series against Sri Lanka, had arrived in Mohali a couple of days before the rest of the team and started practising at the nets.

While fans are angry at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for not allowing crowds, there are many who are praying for the 33-year-old to end his century drought in international cricket.

Former India legendary batter Sunil Gavaskar, who was the first Indian cricketer to play 100 Tests, advised Kohli to block all the outside noise and focus on what he wants to do on the field.
"I would advise Kohli that whether he is in his hotel room or going to the ground, he should plug in his earphones and listen to whatever he wants to. Because sometimes the good wishes that you receive can create pressure on you," Gavaskar said on SportsTak.

"There's always pressure because everyone is wishing you well and expecting a century from you. You know that it is a unique Test match. The nervousness that you get in your first Test, you feel the same in your 100th game as well. In your first Test, you are nervous because you want to do well and cement your place in the side. In your 100th Test, you are even more nervous because you know this will only come once and you want to make it memorable," Gavaskar added.
After giving advice to Kohli ahead of his 100th Test, Gavaskar, who has been quite critical of Kohli of late, was at the receiving end of fans' fury on social media.

    — Suresh Menon (@SureshM05580984) February 28, 2022The legendary batter also said that to mark Kohli's 100th Test, it would have been great had the BCCI allowed some percentage of crowds inside the stadium but he mentioned that the decision was taken for the safety of players amid the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
"I think it is the Punjab government's decision. Every state has its own Covid protocol. Every Test match is special but the 100th Test is always more special and it would have been great if we had crowds," he added.

Soon after the trailer of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was dropped online, fans and pop culture nerds around the world had gone crazy wondering if the voice that they heard for a few seconds was actually of Sir Patrick Stewart who played the iconic Professor X in the X-Men film series.
It has been reported that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will feature around 25 different superhero cameos. This includes the X-Men, Fantastic Four and an Iron Man variant played by Tom Cruise.
And the trailer teased Patrick Stewart’s Professor X’s return. However, in the interviews for Season Two of his series Star Trek: Picard, the legendary actor kept playing coy.

But, recently, it seems like he finally confirmed his return to the fan-favourite character in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Or rather, he was tricked into confirming.

It so happened that in an interview with Jake Hamilton for his YouTube channel Jake’s Takes, he asked Sir Patrick Stewart a hypothetical “What If?” question about Professor X’s potential meeting with Doctor Strange and how will he react.
Stewart replied, “Professor X would be extraordinarily cautious and watchful, and perhaps feel a little insecure. Because there is something that is potentially dangerous about this man. I think that would put Professor Xavier on guard.”
When further asked about his reaction on hearing a voice in the trailer that says, “We should tell him the truth.” that fans think is his.
He replied, “I had my phone turned off as it happened, so I didn't hear anything. It wasn't until the next morning when I woke up and looked at my phone and found that I had been bombarded with responses. My PR people had sent me reactions that they had detailed and passed onto me. I actually didn't recognize my own voice. It sounded different. Whether I had a cold or something at the time, I don't know. I was astonished — and all they saw was the back of my shoulder and I think my earlobe, nothing else — that there would have been so many connections made. But it pleased me [to see the reactions].”

Love, hate, spite, all are heavy emotions, but one that I’ve realized is greater than any and all of them, is patriotism.
People say that the kind of possessiveness you feel for your family is unparalleled, and it might also be true. But when it comes to one’s home country and their motherland, then nothing - not even the slight chance of being convicted gets in the way of defending it.
Recently, a Ukrainian sailor was reportedly arrested by the police for trying to sink his Russian boss’s luxury yacht, in light of recent events and developments between the two nations.

Ever since Russia declared an invasion into Ukraine, the world has been witnessing what can quite easily turn into a potential World War, as some concerned people are saying.

As citizens of Ukraine unite and pick up arms to defend themselves against Russian soldiers, a Ukrainian sailor miles in Spain, felt the need to protect his country right from where he was.
And he did so by choosing to sink a 156-foot yacht that belongs to Alexander Mijeev, the CEO of Rosoboronexport, for he alleged that his boss was ‘a criminal who sells weapons that kill the Ukrainian people.’
A Ukrainian sailor in Mallorca opened the valves & "partially sank" a €7m yacht belonging to the director of Russia's arms exporter.
After he explained it was in retaliation for Russian missile strikes on Kyiv, a judge released him pending trial. https://t.co/yCYkOEY6Mw pic.twitter.com/aOgwaAxLng

Yacht ‘Lady Anastasia’ belonged to Alexander whose company exports Russian defence products like weapons, ships, tanks and fighting vehicles.
Mr Ostapchuk, the Ukrainian sailor claimed, “I watched the news about the war. There was a video of a helicopter attack on a building in Kyiv. The armaments used are produced by the yacht owner's company. They were attacking innocents."

And that is what, according to him, drove him to open valves in the engine room of the yacht in an attempt to flood it and support his country in times of need.

“I don't regret anything I've done and I would do it again," said Mr Ostapchuk.
He was not just a sailor. He was the chief engineer of the vessel and a Ukrainian National. He opened all of the sea cocks, opened that fuel valves in order to contaminate the fuel with water and flood the engines. pic.twitter.com/8FPVCmgOfc

He was subsequently arrested by Spain's Civil Guard on Saturday and appeared in court on Sunday where he admitted to not having regretted his actions.
After the attempt to sink the $7.7 million yacht, Mr Ostapchuk is currently out on bail and plans on going to Ukraine to join the fight against Russia.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 is about to get underway later this month and it will be bigger than last year as two new teams will join the fight for the title.

Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans are the two new franchises who will be debuting in the upcoming season of the IPL.
However, before the start of the tournament, the Gujarat Titans have suffered a huge blow as their star overseas opening batter Jason Roy has pulled out of the tournament citing bio-bubble fatigue as the reason behind his decision.
England batter Jason Roy has pulled out of #IPL2022 citing the challenge of staying in the tournament bubble for an extended period

Roy was signed by Gujarat Titans for his base price of INR 2 crore at the auction Titans are yet to finalise a replacement
    — ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) February 28, 2022
According to a report by ESPNcricinfo, the England batter had informed the Gujarat-based franchise about his decision last week and they are yet to name a replacement for the 31-year-old.

Roy was picked up by Gujarat Titans for his base price of Rs 2 crore at the IPL mega auction. And fans felt this was the sole reason behind him opting out of the tournament as the England batter was expecting to go for more at the mega auction.
No new tours have been announced, have they? Clearly expected to go for more than the base price. https://t.co/28eX8jd6pM

    — Haris Siddique | PCT.F (@Harissiddique56) February 28, 2022Very obvious he wasn't happy going at base price. But then he shouldn't have registered at the first place. Even Gayle went for base price to Punjab Kings or Malinga to MI in 2019. https://t.co/BX2vKqYv4j
    — Sameer Allana (@HitmanCricket) February 28, 2022 Fans are fuming at Roy, not because he decided to skip this year's IPL but because he has decided not to play for the second time in three years. In 2020, Delhi Capitals roped him in their squad for his base price of Rs 1.5 crore but the England batter didn't participate due to personal reasons.

    — Jason Roy (@JasonRoy20) May 18, 2021Roy was part of the recently concluded Pakistan Super League (PSL) which too was played in a bio-bubble environment. Bio-bubble could be challenging on the mental health of a player and it is not right to criticise a player for deciding not to carry on living in a restricted environment.
Roy was in the form of his life in the PSL. Playing for Quetta Gladiators, Roy smashed 303 runs at an average of 50.50 and a staggering strike rate of 170.22.
Dear @gujarat_titans , As Roy is out It's your sign to get back the Don Suresh Raina back and win the IPL with Mr. IPL #JasonRoy pic.twitter.com/GlzKFvtQlL
    — Aditi (@Sev_Khamani) February 28, 2022
Jason Roy's absence from the upcoming season of the IPL opens the door for some of the other big names that went unsold at the mega auction. It will be interesting to see whom Gujarat sign up as his replacement with the likes of Suresh Raina, Martin Guptill up for grabs.

Talking further about Gangubai Kathiawadi, the film is based on a chapter from Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens of Mumbai and also stars Ajay Devgn, Seema Pahwa, Shantanu Maheshwari, and Vijay Raaz in pivotal roles.
While the film has been receiving a favorable response from critics as well as moviegoers, Gangubai's son isn’t happy with his mother’s portrayal in Gangubai Kathiawadi. Sharing his thoughts in an interview, he said, "My mother has been turned into a prostitute. People are now saying inexplicable things about my mother".
