Virat Kohli received a well-deserved break from international cricket and mentally draining bio-bubbles after he scored a fluent half-century and helped India seal the three-match T20I series against the West Indies last week. Kohli took the attack to the West Indies bowlerΒ after India lost early wickets and helped the hosts to a competitive total. India won the match and Kohli was rested for the third and final T20I and the subsequent series against Sri Lanka.Β Β
While the team was gearing up for the series against Lanka, a picture of Kohli in a new look started doing the rounds on social media. In the viral picture, Kohli can be seen sporting a turban in what seems to be a photo from an ad shoot.Β

β€” ♕¹⁸ (@virat_holics) February 22, 2022 Whenever Kohli trends on social media, some fans always find a way to take a sly dig at the former India captain. And as soon as Kohli's 'turban look' went viral on Twitter, fans wasted little time to troll Kohli.Β

β€” Junoni (@dimagh_ki_mcbc) February 23, 2022Β To an extent the fury of fans can be justified by the fact that Kohli hasn't scored a century in over two years. However, he has scored runs consistently even when others have failed to step up and take on the opposition.Β
Kohli was by far the best performer with the bat in South Africa earlier this year. He scored two half-centuries in the three-match ODI seriesΒ in the rainbow nation while other Indian batters failed to get going.Β

Even at home, after a forgettable outing in the ODIs against the Windies, Kohli came roaring back in the T20Is and scored 69 runs and outperformed Rohit Sharma, who scored just 66 runs despite playing all the three matches.Β
After the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, Kohli will join Team India for the two-Test series. Kohli, who has played 99 Tests for the country, will play his landmark 100th Test at the PCA stadium in Mohali, starting March 4.Β

Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni were two of the most successful captains in the history of Indian cricket. Under their leadership, the Indian team became a force to reckon with across all three formats of the game.
In terms of number of titles, no one comes close to the Ranchi-born cricketer who guided us to two World Cup titles (T20 and ODI) and a Champions Trophy. He was India’s most successful white-ball leader, emerging victorious on 110 occasions in 200 tries.
    Β© Reuters
But when it comes to the game’s traditional format, the Delhi-lad is miles ahead of any other Indian captain. Before deciding to step down from Test captaincy last month, the 33-year-old had already registered 40 wins as a leader – the most for an Indian skipper.

Both the leaders led the Indian team in a completely different manner. While Dhoni was known for his cool and calm demeanour, Kohli was famous for his energy and aggression.

Despite their contrasting leadership styles, they both achieved some great results on the field, across all three formats of the game which makes it extremely difficult to determine who was better of the two.

Apart from Indian players, Shane Watson was among a select few cricketers who were fortunate to experience both the leaders from close quarters while playing under them in the IPL.
    Β© Twitter ICC
The former Australia all-rounder recently compared the leadership styles of the current Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper Dhoni with that of the former Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Kohli and shared some interesting insights.

    Β© Twitter ICC
Watson, who played for RCB under Kohli, described the Delhi-born cricketer as a β€œsuperhuman” who knew how to push players to give their best on the field.

To the people on the outside, he might come across as a bit rude and arrogant but for Watson he was an β€œincredible good guy” whose knowledge of the game always fascinated him.

β€œVirat as a leader has done incredible things, the way he has been able to push players, he has got such high expectation from himself and he brings that to every game he plays,” Watson said on the 'ICC Review’.
β€œFor me, I believe Virat is a super human, he knows how to push players around him. Virat is an incredibly good guy, he is a well-balanced character off the field, the knowledge he has is fascinating. It was a great experience for me to work with Virat at RCB,” said the former Aussie all-rounder.
    View this post on Instagram
For Watson, the majority of his IPL success came when he joined the Chennai-based franchise and was given the role of an opener by Dhoni.
Talking about his leadership skills, the all-rounder said it felt as if he had β€œice running through his veins”. No matter how close the match got, he never lost his cool.
    View this post on Instagram
According to Watson, one thing that separated him from the rest was his trust in his players. He always made the players believe in their own abilities and gave them the confidence to succeed.
β€œMS Dhoni has got ice running through his veins, his ability to take the pressure out of a team environment, he trusts his players, he makes sure everyone has faith in their abilities. He knows what works for himself and the people around him,” Watson said, while describing how Dhoni went about his business.
    View this post on Instagram
β€œHe trusts his instincts on the field, he trusts that players will do their research and do what is needed on the field,” he added.
While comparing two greats of the game, our focus is always on highlighting things that separate them from one another but we often ignore the similarities between them.
    Β© Reuters
While comparing two stark personalities, Watson not only mentioned the differences but also pointed out the similarities. He described how both the leaders knew how to motivate the teammates to put their best foot forward in the match and that is why they were able to achieve the kind of result that they did.

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has seriously come a long way ever since making her big Bollywood debut in Student Of The Year alongside Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan way back in 2012.

    Β© Dharma Productions
Yeah, it's really been a decade for her in the industry and it certainly feels like she's been there for a really long time.

Why? It's because of the diverse films she's done to date.
Over the years, she's proved that she's not just someone who has been born in the industry but has really earned every credit that comes her way.
Such is the talent of the 28-year-old actress, that she's completely overwhelmed viewers with her performances in films like Udta Punjab, Dear Zindagi, Raazi, Highway, and so many others.
    Β© Disney+ Hotstar
Alia is now all set to star in the much-awaited upcoming film Gangubai Kathiawadi, which has been directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

    Β© Pen Studios
Apart from that, she will also be seen alongside Ajay Devgn, Ram Charan, N. T. Rama Rao Jr. in RRR.

Boy! That's some serious lineup of films and it proves that Alia is really one of the finest actors in Bollywood right now.
However, did you know that prior to all the success, Alia too was super nervous right before her big debut in Karan Johar's Student Of The Year film?
    Yep, that's right!
While speaking to Mid-Day, Alia revealed how her stomach was full of butterflies just before the release of the film.
She described going to her father Mahesh Bhatt's office where she was helped by him and Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi, who happens to be her cousin.
    Β© BCCL
β€œBefore Student of the Year [2012], I went to my father’s [Mahesh Bhatt] office, shaking [in fear] that I won’t be able to act. He had told me then that I will feel this with every film. Emraan [Hashmi] was sitting there, mostly agreeing with my father," she said.

Okay, we did know that Emraan is one person who is known to be very genuine in the industry but being given a pep talk by the actor sure seems like an interesting story.
The actor himself will now be seen alongside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in Tiger 3.
Alia, on the other hand, is all set to step into the shoes of a producer for the first time, with her film Darlings, which is a dark comedy about a mother-daughter relationship starring herself and Shefali Shah.

Look how far Alia has come in the industry, and the only sky seems to be the limit still!

In this day and age of OTT platforms where new movies and shows are being released every single day, it gets hard to not just keep up with the content being pushed our way but also to know which ones to be really excited or curious about.
    Β© Twitter
And one such upcoming release that for sure has grabbed our attention is the one being directed by Zoya Akhtar, called β€˜The Archies’. Not much is known about this project, but whatever little people are speculating, is enough to make you want to know more. Especially after the pictures of star kids Suhana Khan, Agastya with Zoya Akhtar went viral.

    View this post on Instagram
The buzz started back in 2021 November, when the OTT giant Netflix announced β€˜The Archies’, to be directed by Zoya Akhtar. The post read, β€œGet your milkshakes ready because Archie and the gang are about to get down and desi in β€˜The Archies’. A coming-of-age musical drama directed by @zoieakhtar. Coming soon to Netflix! #TheArchiesOnNetflix (sic)." Safe to say, we were looking ahead at a musical drama with bated breaths.
    Β© Zoya Akhtar
In fact, Zoya had talked about the project and mentioned, β€œIt was a large part of my childhood and teenage years. The characters are iconic and globally loved, which is also why I am a little nervous. I have to make sure the film stokes the nostalgia of a generation that grew up on the comic and yet resonates with the young adults today."

And speaking of young adults, the touted cast for this musical drama is said to include star kid Suhana Khan, Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda and Janhvi Kapoor’s younger sister, Khushi Kapoor. Some even say that Ibrahim Ali Khan, Saif Ali Khan’s son might also be a part of the project, however, this is all still a speculation as of yet.

One of the sources close to the project has also revealed that Suhana Khan’s recent picture in a red saree was also a way to introduce her upcoming debut. The source shared with India Today, "In the film, Suhana will have not just western but also Indian looks. The star kid loves to do makeup. She is also very keen to put out her different looks on Instagram to see how people react to them. All of these are a part of Suhana's big acting debut, which will happen soon."

Indian team is set to take on Sri Lanka in a three-match T20I series, starting Thursday (February 24). The Men in Blue will be without a few stars including their former skipper Virat Kohli and wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant. The team suffered a blow before the start of the T20I series as Suryakumar Yadav and Deepak Chahar were ruled out due to injuries.
In place of Pant, the selectors have picked Sanju Samson as the backup wicket-keeper. While many were questioning the decision as the team already has a wicket-keeper in the squad in Ishan Kishan, India's all-format captain Rohit Sharma gave his views on why the Kerala-born wicket-keeper batter has been included in the T20I side.Β
"Keep scoring runs and the opportunity will arise."

    β€” BCCI (@BCCI) February 23, 2022
On the eve of the first T20I between India and Sri Lanka, Rohit said that Samson has a good backfoot game which will benefit the team on bouncy tracks in Australia, where the next T20 World Cup will be played later this year.Β
"That guy has got talent. Whenever we have seen him bat, he has produced an innings where everyone goes over the moon watching that. He’s got the skillset to succeed. Now, that’s the whole point about this spot. A lot of people have the skillset, a lot of people have talent. I think it’s up to Sanju how he utilises his talent and how he can maximize it,” Rohit said in a pre-match virtual presser.
β€œHis backfoot play is superb. Some of his shots, you must have seen during the IPL, the pick-up pull, the cut shots, standing and delivering over bowler’s head – those types of shots are not easy to play. When you go to Australia, you need those kinds of shot-making abilities and Samson definitely has it in him,” he added.

β€” Sixer Sanju (@rawhul9) February 23, 2022No better than #RohitSharma to understand #SanjuSamson's situation. Both had enormous talent coming in to the team as a youngsters. Getting the backing of the skipper ahead of a series would keep Samson in high spirits as he gears up for an audition for a place in the squad as the Men in Blue look to identify players for the upcoming World Cup.

Ever since Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez's intimate photos with conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar went viral on the internet last year, the money laundering case has been making headlines, leading to a big controversy. Sukesh, who claims to be a government lobbyist, is now locked in Tihar Jail in Delhi. The conman,Β  32, is accused of extorting Rs. 215 crore from Aditi Singh, the wife of former Fortis Healthcare CEO Shivinder Mohan Singh. They founded Ranbaxy Laboratories as well.
As the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is probing the case, the latest buzz suggests that the conman also targeted three younger actresses besides Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi.Β
    View this post on Instagram
Revealing the names, sources told India Today that Bhumi Pednekar, Sara Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor too were on Sukesh's radar. Allegedly, the conman used extorted money to send gifts to the actresses.
Sara Ali Khan View this post on Instagram
In May 2021, he reportedly targeted Sara with the help of his associate Pinky Irani. He introduced himself as Suraj Reddy on WhatsApp. He told the Kedarnath actress that as a friendly gesture, he would want to give her a car. The conman told Sara that his CEO Pinky had attempted to reach her. As Suraj Reddy, he was adamant about sending gifts. At last, Sara Ali Khan agreed to just a box of chocolates. As mentioned in the letter sent to ED on January 14, 2022, he also sent a Franck Muller watch along with the gift package.
Janhvi Kapoor View this post on Instagram
Janhvi, on the other hand, was approached by his wife, Leena Maria Paul, who worked in the Malayalam cinema industry as an actress. Janhvi received gifts worth over Rs 18 lakh from him. As per the India Today report, it might have come from Aditi Singh's extortion money. On July 19, 2021, the Dhadak star was invited to inaugurate a nail salon in Bengaluru. For this appearance, she was paid around Rs 19 lakh and the amount was deposited into her bank account. The actress was also given a Christian Dior bag by Leena's mother.
Bhumi Pednekar View this post on Instagram
Sukesh's associate, Pinky Irani, approached Bhumi in January 2021, purporting to be the Vice President HR of News Express Post. She informed the Badhaai Do actress that Mr. Suraj (Sukesh Chandrasekhar), the chairman of their company, was a fan of hers and wanted to speak about a major project. She further told Bhumi that he also wanted to give her a car as a gift. However, Bhumi has informed ED officials about not receiving any gifts from the conman or any of his associates.Β
