Amid the huge craze for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), India's most-loved superhero Shaktimaan is finally making a comeback in a grand way. While Mukesh Khanna became a household name after starring in the popular TV series, the superhero will now be seen on the big screen. Yes, you read that right! Sony Pictures has recently announced a big screen Shaktimaan trilogy in collaboration with Khanna's production house Bheeshm International.

As per the announcement, the trilogy will be headlined by one of India’s superstars and fans are now eagerly waiting to know more details about the film. Also, a top filmmaker will be roped in to helm the project.
Before the makers officially announce the name of the lead star, let's take a look at the list of actors who might be a perfect fit to play our very own desi superhero Shaktimaan on the big screen:
Ranveer Singh View this post on Instagram
One of the biggest stars of his generation, Ranveer can be a perfect choice for the Shaktimaan trilogy. His bouncy energy and personality make him one of the best contenders for the role. Also, he would play Shaktimaan's alter ego Pandit Gangadhar Vidhyadhar Mayadhar Omkarnath Shastriji to the T. The actor has never played a superhero on screen and his fans would love to see him saving the world in a fancy costume.
Akshay Kumar View this post on Instagram
The superstar has played diverse roles in his over three-decade-long career but he is yet to become a superhero onscreen and what better than our very own Shaktimaan. Fans must be aware that besides all the superhero stuff, the series also has a lot of comical moments thanks to the funny antics of Gangadhar. Since Akshay is known for both comedy and action roles, he can do complete justice to the role.

We have already seen him playing a superhero in Ra.One (2011). While the superstar looked great as G.One, the film failed to perform as per expectations. With Shaktimaan, he might get a second chance to win everyone’s heart as a superhero. Just like Akshay Kumar, SRK too will ace the role in his unique style. Imagine, SRK making his signature (open arm) pose in Shaktimaan costume. Well, that will be epic. What do you say?

The Baahubali star has the perfect height and built to play a superhero on screen. The actor owns huge popularity across the country which can widen the film's reach too. South stars are making their presence felt on the pan-India level and it would be great to see a Tollywood actor headlining a huge superhero franchise.
Allu Arjun View this post on Instagram
After the huge success of Pushpa: The Rise, Allu Arjun too has established as a pan-India star. The dashing lad too has got it all to play a superhero. With his charming persona, unmatchable swag, and style, the actor might surprise all.

Shark Tank India judge Ashneer Grover, in a recent podcast interview, talked about his stint on the reality show and the reason why he may have come across as rude on the show.
He also opened up about the time when he had approached fellow “Shark” Anupam Mittal years before the show and made pitches to him twice to raise investment for BharatPe.
Talking to Raj Shamani on his Figuring Out podcast Ashneer revealed how he was shortlisted for the show. He said that there were a couple of auditions and mock pitches before he was finalised.

However, before coming on board, he wanted to know who his fellow “Sharks” would be. That’s when he talked about knowing Vineet Singh of Sugar Cosmetics from back in the day when they were in college as she was his junior.

And as for Anupam Mittal of Shaadi dot com, Ashneer revealed that years before Shark Tank India, he had approached Anupam and made pitches to him twice to raise investment for his company BharatPe.
He said, “Anupam ko main pehle se jaanta tha. Maine ek baar BharatPe se Anupam se paise uthane ki koshish ki thi. Finally mere ko baahar se paise mil gaye they toh maine Anupam se liye nahin they. Main usey jaanta tha tab se. Main usey pitch maarke aaya tha ek baar hi nahin, do baar. (I knew Anupam from before. I’d once tried to raise money for BharatPe from him. I got the money from elsewhere, so I never ended up taking his money. In fact, I had made a pitch to him, not once but twice.)”

It’s interesting to know that one of the most popular & controversial “Sharks” of Shark Tank India had once made pitches to a fellow judge.

Also, on the podcast, while talking about the reason behind his apparent rudeness, Ashneer stated that he prefers speaking in Hindi as much as possible and that could be the reason he comes across as rude.

He said why English as a language has a “musical tone” to it, Hindi is “dhande ki bhasha” (language of business). He is a  no-nonsense guy and asks his employees as well to speak in Hindi as much as possible because he feels English isn’t direct enough.
