A few days back, Dhanush and Aishwaryaa R Dhanush released a joint statement announcing separation after “18 years of togetherness”. The announcement of their split came as a shock for their fans.
Soon after the statement, several reports started doing the rounds about the reason behind their split. Meanwhile, Dhanush’s father Kasthuri Raja shrugged it off as “a family quarrel” and added that the split is temporary.

Now, a new report has claimed that the news of their separation has “very badly” affected Aishwaryaa’s father Superstar Rajinikanth.
According to Wion, Rajinikanth has not yet come to terms with the reality and is still hopeful of reconciliation between his daughter Aishwaryaa and son-in-law Dhanush. He has also urged Aishwaryaa to mend their differences and save the marriage.
A source told the website, “Rajini Sir has taken his daughter’s break up very badly. He keeps insisting that the separation is temporary. He has been urging his daughter to mend her marriage.”
The source also added that the duo often had fights and they have had bitter differences between them in the past but somehow Rajinikanth always managed to talk them into staying together. However, this time, things seemingly went out of hand.

Earlier, a throwback video of Rajinikanth from the music launch of his 2018 film Kaala had gone viral. In the video, he could be seen praising Dhanush calling him a “good son-in-law”.
He said, “Dhanush is a wonderful boy. He respects his parents, considers them God. He takes care of his wife. He is a good father, a good son-in-law, a good man, a good talent.”
On the work front, Rajinikanth was last seen in Annaatthe. The film received mixed response and underperformed.
Dhanush, on the other hand, was last seen in his third Hindi film Atrangi Re helmed by Aanand L Rai, who earlier introduced Dhanush to the Bollywood audience with Raanjhanaa.
He will next be seen in Maaran directed by Karthick Naren. The film is slated to release on Disney+ Hotstar in February 2022.

A lot of things have been going on in Indian cricket since the last four-five months – both on and off the field. Starting with the T20 World Cup in the UAE last year to the recent humiliation against South Africa, Team India’s performance hasn't been up to the mark by any stretch of imagination.
If the on-field disappointments weren’t enough, the last few months have been ridden with various off-field controversies that have made each of us think if everything is alright with Indian cricket.
View this post on Instagram
There have been several changes at various leadership positions, which are being debated to this date. In the last decade or so we had never seen so many changes take place one after the other in such a short duration.
Some of the things that have happened, nobody could imagine them a while back. Who would have thought Virat Kohli, the face of Indian cricket and global ambassador of the game, would be subjected to what some call ‘unfair treatment’ by his own cricket board.
© Reuters
Amidst all this, Ravi Shastri, who had a great camaraderie with Kohli during his stint as the head coach, feels that given his fitness the Indian talisman can easily play cricket for next five years and pile up runs.
The former all-rounder even shared an important piece of advice for the 33-year-old cricketer. He suggested that given everything that is going on at the moment he should consider taking a 2-3 month long break from cricket which would do him a world of good.
“He realises he is 33, he realises he has 5 years of good cricket ahead of him. If he can calm down, focus on his batting, take one game at a time, probably take a break from the game as well, I think, if he goes out for 2-3 months, if he takes a break from one series, it will do him a world of good,” Shastri said on Shoaib Akhtar’s YouTube channel.
Shastri’s advice didn't go down well with some fans who were totally against Kohli taking a break due to several reasons. While some were afraid that doing so would hamper his position in the side and others felt that rather than taking a break during India’s bil-lateral series, he should skip the two-month long IPL.
Taking a break will only affect his batting even more badly, already took a long break in lockdown
— Sai Balne (@balne_sai) January 26, 2022Exactly same thoughts. He should take a break during the ipl. Stay away from cricket that time and refresh his mindset for upcoming int'l cricket. I would really want him to do so. It will help him alot.
— Omkar (@Wanderers_119) January 26, 2022I don't think that's a right decision. We have t20 wc just few months later. And this is the time he and the whole team should unite and play their best. So it'll be really bad if he takes rest or is compelled to take rest....
— হুতুম সর্দার (@hutum_sardar333) January 26, 2022Is he mad or what? He shouldn't take any break. Already BCCI is after him. A break can actually eat up his entire career. If he has to take a break, it should be during IPL, not during any international series.
— Bhartiya (@UNOwen52049192) January 27, 2022Oh yes wonderful idea. He can take a break in April, I don't see any India games then.
— Anwesh C (@Real_CA03) January 26, 2022Now that he is relieved of the captaincy pressure, everyone expects him to regain his old form and become the same batter who used to score hundreds for fun.
People need to understand that he is not some robot who can be operated by a switch or a virtual command. Like you and me, he is a human being too who has a multitude of emotions and it’s important for him to take care of his mental well-being.
© Reuters
Kohli is wise enough to decide for himself whether he wants a break or not and we should stop being selfish and leave the decision to him.

Shweta Tiwari, who is best known for her role in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, has landed in trouble for making a controversial statement while promoting her upcoming web series Show Stopper in Bhopal recently. The series also stars Sourabh Raaj Jain, Digangana Suryavanshi, and Rohit Roy in pivotal roles.
While interacting with the media during the launch event of the show, the actress said "mere bra ki size bhagwan le rahe hai (God is taking the size of my bra)" which hasn't gone down well with many.

According to an ANI report, Show Stopper is a fashion-related series in which Saurabh Raaj Jain is playing the role of a 'bra fitter'. Reportedly, she made the statement jokingly in reference to Saurabh, who is known for playing Lord Krishna in the TV show Mahabharat.
A video of Shweta's statement has gone viral on the internet and she is now being criticised for joking about God and referring to her innerwear in the same sentence. Watch the clip here:

The actress may get into trouble as Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has noticed and condemned her controversial statement. He has also directed the police to investigate and file a report within 24 hours.
Talking to the media about Shweta's statement, Mishra said, "I have heard it and I strongly condemn it. I have directed the police commissioner of Bhopal to probe it and give a report within 24 hours. After that, we will see what action can be taken in the matter".

— Dr Narottam Mishra (@drnarottammisra) January 27, 2022
Shweta is yet to react to the whole controversy.
For the unversed, Mishra had also led a political protest against Sunny Leone when her song Madhuban was released. He had claimed that the song offended sentiments and added that people took Hindu sentiments and culture casually.
On the career front, the actress was last seen as a participant on Khatron Ke Khiladi 11. She was among the top 5 finalists along with Divyanka Tripathi, Arjun Bijlani, Vishal Aditya Singh, and Varun Sood. The show ended in September last year with Bijlani lifting the winner's trophy.
Her daughter Palak Tiwari too has entered the entertainment industry. She rose to fame after appearing in Harrdy Sandhu's hit song Bijlee Bijlee. Also, she is set to make her Bollywood debut with Rosie The Saffron Chapter co-starring Vivek Oberoi. Most recently, she made headlines after being spotted with Saif Ali Khan's son Ibrahim Ali Khan on a rumoured date. While seated in the backseat of Ibrahim's car, which was being driven by a chauffeur, Palak was seen shying away from the cameras.

The search for a successor to Virat Kohli, who stepped aside as India's Test captain earlier this month, is still underway. While Rohit Sharma is the most likely to take over as India's captain in all three forms, the BCCI and the team management would need to hunt for a young prodigy to train as a future leader once the Hitman decides to get off the throne.
Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Rishabh Pant are among the numerous names that have surfaced as possible options. Jasprit Bumrah has added his name to the hat, stating that if the opportunity arises, he will relish the chance to head the Indian cricket team.
Jasprit Bumrah as India's next Test captain anyone? pic.twitter.com/Gur6rKYMmw
— ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) January 17, 2022
The speedster was named vice-captain of the Indian squad for the ODI series against South Africa, and the 28-year-old seems enticed by the thought of leading India during a recent news conference.
Former coach Ravi Shastri was not enthusiastic when asked about the possibility of Bumrah captaining India. When former Pakistan bowler Shoaib Akhtar questioned if Shastri had considered making Bumrah skipper in any format – most likely T20Is – Shastri said emphatically that he had not.
View this post on Instagram
Shastri went on to explain exactly why he thinks Bumrah will never be the captain of the Men in Blue, especially in the longest format of the game. According to the former head coach, the likelihood of a fast bowler leading India is negligible because they aren’t always the most proffered of the bowlers on all the pitches around the globe.
According to Shastri, a pacer can only become a captain if he is also a legitimate threat with the bat and can be qualified as a strong all-rounder. In order to rise through the ranks and earn the ability to be called the skipper of a cricketing side, a bowler must be “like Kapil (Dev), Imran (Khan) or Sir Garfield (Sobers)” according to Shastri.
View this post on Instagram
Bumrah, who recently played all three Tests and ODIs in South Africa and was touted as one of the stronger Indian pacers on the spin-friendly pitches in Paarl, will be rested for the three ODIs and three T20Is against the West Indies, which begin on February 6.

As the head coach of the Indian cricket team, Ravi Shastri achieved some great results on the field.
Be it winning the back-to-back Test series on Australian soil or being the number one Test side in the world for five straight years, the results that Team India delivered under Shastri’s tenure exceeded all expectations.
View this post on Instagram
But ever since he has moved away from the Indian dressing room, he has been making some explosive remarks about various things that concern Indian cricket which end up creating huge controversies.
Recently, one of his comments that caused a huge uproar in the Indian cricket community was when he said that Kohli could’ve easily carried on leading the Indian team in the longest format for a couple of years, if not more.
The part that many found problematic and raised quite a few eyebrows was when he, without taking any names, indirectly accused the BCCI office bearers, including president Sourav Ganguly, of being jealous of Kohli’s incredible record as a Test captain.
Shastri had stated that had the 33-year-old cricketer carried on leading the Test side he would have added more wins to his name and ‘some people wouldn’t have been able to digest it’.
View this post on Instagram
Kohli fans praised Shastri for his unfiltered opinion on the matter while the rest discarded his comments saying it was totally unnecessary. Not just fans like me and you, even pundits like Sanjay Manjrekar who know Shastri closely, find his comments baffling and stupid, something which they don’t pay too much attention to.
Speaking to CNN-News18, the former Indian batter Manjrekar said that since they both have shared the same dressing room, he has a huge amount of respect for Ravi Shastri – the cricketer, who always took the players under his wings while leading the side and supported the, through thick and thin.
#IndianCricketWar
Former Indian cricketer @sanjaymanjrekar in an exclusive conversation with @ShivaniGupta_5 speaks on Indian Cricket churn. He says, 'This is like a crisis, but the problem can be solved easily.'
Manjrekar also speaks on Ravi Shastri & #ViratKohli, Listen in! pic.twitter.com/BMyCjlum46
— News18 (@CNNnews18) January 25, 2022
But despite knowing him so well on and off the field, he fails to understand this new version of Shastri, who keeps on making “unintelligent comments” due to his hidden “agenda”.
“I was a huge admirer of Ravi Shastri. I played under him, he gave players support, a great fighter and senior to have around in the dressing room. But this Shastri 2.0 I don't understand,” Manjrekar told CNN-News18.
“What he says in public is expected, I don't react to it. I don't want to be disrespectful. He doesn't make very intelligent comments, you can see the agenda behind it. It's not an accurate cricketing observation,” he explained.
Owing to the respect that he has for Shastri, he didn’t say a lot of things but from whatever little he said, one can easily comprehend what he meant.
View this post on Instagram
Shastri and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly don’t look each other in the eye because of how the former was sidelined for the India head coach position and was replaced by Anil Kumble back in 2016.
When he was inside the Indian dressing room his hands were tied but now that he is not part of the set-up, he isn’t bound to behave in a certain manner. He had been wanting to say these things for a very long time but couldn’t. And now he is letting everything out, without giving any second thoughts.

Playing cricket at the biggest stage is a dream only a few manage to live. However, if you are in Melbourne and haven’t played Test cricket, you can be part of the Big Bash League final between Sydney Sixers and Perth Scorchers on Friday.
Captain of the Sydney-based franchise and Australia all-rounder Daniel Christian took to Twitter to come up with a unique offer that showed the struggles teams have to go through during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
View this post on Instagram
Sydney Sixers are struggling to field 11 fit players for the summit clash as some of their players are battling injuries while a couple of men are out after testing positive for COVID-19.
Christian invited anyone in ‘Melbourne’ who is fit and Covid free to join the team’s warm-up at the Marvel Stadium on Friday. The all-rounder, who played for Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore last year, also offered free beer but put a condition that the individual should not be a Test cricketer.
Shout out to anyone* in Melbourne that wants a game of cricket tomorrow night. My team is struggling to get 11 covid free, fit players on the park. Warm up starts at 6.30pm at Marvel Stadium.
Free beer afterwards, potentially out of a large cup.
DM if keen
*no test cricketers
— Dan Christian (@danchristian54) January 27, 2022 "Shout out to anyone* in Melbourne that wants a game of cricket tomorrow night. My team is struggling to get 11 covid free, fit players on the park. Warm up starts at 6.30pm at Marvel Stadium. Free beer afterwards, potentially out of a large cup. DM if keen *no test cricketers,” Christian tweeted.
While fans came up with interesting replies to the tweet put out on social media by the Sydney Sixers skipper, the offer was so intriguing that it even caught the attention of South Africa’s legend AB de Villiers and England speedster Jofra Archer.
I’m keen if u can guarantee me my 4 overs?
— AB de Villiers (@ABdeVilliers17) January 27, 2022 The former South Africa batter said he is ‘keen to play’ if Christian can guarantee that de Villiers will get the chance to bowl four overs in the match.
Do I have to pay subs?
— Jofra Archer (@JofraArcher) January 27, 2022 Archer, who has been away from cricket due to injury, asked the Sydney skipper if he needs to pay the substitutes to feature in the summit clash of the BBL.
After Australia’s series against New Zealand was postponed, star batter Steve Smith had shown interest to represent the Sixers in BBL but his request was denied by the cricket board due to a new rule that was introduced for substitute players for teams affected by the virus.

On Wednesday, an unusual sight was on display as Sydney Sixers had to include their assistant coach Jay Lenton into the playing XI after wicket-keeper batter Josh Philippe was ruled out of the match as he tested positive for Covid.
Sydney managed to beat Adelaide Strikers in a last-ball finish to seal a place in the final of Big Bash League.

Bollywood superstars Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starred together in several films including Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Mujhse Dosti Karoge among others at the beginning of their acting careers. Their last film together was Sooraj Barjatya's Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon which was released in 2003 and turned out to be a flop at the box office. Since then, the duo is yet to team up for a film.

In 2014, Kareena and Hrithik were supposed to star together in Karan Johar's Shuddhi but the film got shelved after both the actors walked out of it leaving their fans sad. However, here comes some great news for people who are eager to see Hrithik and Kareena together onscreen. As per the latest buzz, the superstars have been offered a film together. Yes, you read that right! Reportedly titled Ulaj, the project is currently at a very initial stage.
Revealing the same, a source informed BollywoodLife, "Hrithik and Kareena both have been approached for a film together by a renowned filmmaker and it will be produced by Junglee Pictures. The title of the film is Ulaj and the film is under a very initial process. In fact, the filmmaker will be meeting Bebo in a few days for a script reading session and will only then finalise everything".
View this post on Instagram
The source added, "Hrithik is yet to give this nod and it depends on his availability. If these two stars will say 'yes', then only the producer will start the process of budgeting. It is going to be a big-budget film and most of the shooting will happen out of Mumbai. But, nothing is concrete now".
If things work out then the film will mark Hrithik and Kareena's reunion after a long gap of 19 years. Well, we just hope that both of them give their nod to the project.
On the career front, Kareena will next be seen opposite Aamir Khan in Advait Chandan's Laal Singh Chaddha. The much-hyped film is the official Hindi remake of Tom Hanks' Hollywood classic Forrest Gump. She also has signed Hansal Mehta's upcoming thriller, bankrolled by Ekta Kapoor.

Hrithik, on the other hand, is currently busy with the Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha. Earlier this month, on the occasion of his birthday, the makers released his first look from the much-awaited film which got a good response from fans. His lineup also includes Siddharth Anand's Fighter co-starring Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor. It is touted to be the country’s first-ever aerial action drama.
