Raveena Tandon, who is basking in the success of her Netflix series Aranyak, was among the top female stars of the 90s. She had no godfather in the industry and made her own path by delivering several successful films. Her pairing with Govinda, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar among other actors was a hit among fans. But, did you know that an actor's insecure girlfriend (also an actress) got her replaced in a few films back then? Well, that's the truth!
View this post on Instagram
In a recent interview, the Mohra actress opened up about the same without revealing the actor and his girlfriend's identity. In a conversation with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Raveena recalled the time when she lost films because an actor's girlfriend was insecure. She said, "I was replaced intentionally because this girl did not like me, was insecure about me. She was dating a hero at that time and forced him to replace me because we were a hit pair. Forced him to replace with other heroines. So I lost out on 1-2 films on that account".
The Satta star went on to say that the same heroine had requested one of her co-stars not to work with her. Raveena concluded by revealing that the lady dumped the actor later who came to the Aks actress to replace his ex-girlfriend in a film.
View this post on Instagram
She stated, "The best part was she dumped that hero after a few years and he came to me, ‘arey uski film thi yar, tu please abhi mere liye karde, wo beech me chhod ke chali gai (It was her film but please you do it for me, she has quit in between).’ Maine kaha main to tereko pahle se bolti thi ki uski fitrat hi aisi hai (I told him that I had already warned you about her nature). It was very funny actually. It didn't make a difference to me because to a certain extent, I do believe that there is a certain path your destiny has to follow".
Well, that's interesting!
For the unversed, Raveena made her Bollywood debut with Patthar Ke Phool opposite Salman Khan in 1991. The film was among the highest-grossing films of the year post which the actress appeared in several hits including Dilwale, Laadla, Dulhe Raja, Mohra among others.
On the movie front, she currently has KGF 2 in her kitty. The pan-India film is slated to hit the theatres later this year.

The popularity of Allu Arjun’s latest blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise has broken records not only in India but also worldwide, as fans are showering love on the movie.
And now, it seems the craze of Pushpa has taken over the cricket fraternity as well.
The likes of Suresh Raina, Hardik Pandya have grooved to the famous track – 'Srivalli' – from the movie while all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja had shared a photo of him, recreating Allu Arjun’s Pushpa look.
View this post on Instagram
Australian cricketer, David Warner had also posted a snippet from the movie in which he swapped his face with Allu Arjun.
The Pushpa trend has also taken over the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) where many cricketers have performed the ‘Srivalli hook step’ while celebrating a wicket.
Nazmul Islam from Bangladesh started the trend in BPL and soon, West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo, who enjoys a huge fan following in India thanks to his participation in the Indian Premier League, too enacted Allu Arjun’s step after a dismissal.
The recent entrant in the list of players who have tried Allu Arjun’s hook step is former Bangladesh skipper and all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan.
Shakib, playing for the Fortune Barishal, picked up the wicket of Faf du Plessis in the sixth over of the match and then recreated Allu Arjun’s trademark move from the movie in which the actor runs his hand across his chin.

After seeing Shakib perform the move, fans labelled BPL as ‘Bangladesh Pushpa League’.

— Rafa Shawon (@Vamos__Rafa) January 26, 2022Coming to the match, there was not much to celebrate for Shakib’s team as Fortune Barishal suffered a huge 63-run defeat against Comilla Victorians.
Shakib’s own performance with the ball was fine as he picked up two wickets and gave away just 25 runs in his quota of four overs but with the bat, chasing a target of 159, he failed to save his team the blushes as they were bowled out for 95 in the 18th over.
Shakib scored just one run after facing four balls.

After the grand success of Allu Arjun’s Telugu film, Pushpa: The Rise in Hindi, the studio behind the Hindi dubbed version of his 2020 Telugu blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo decided to release the dubbed version in theatres in the hope to cash in on the huge popularity of their lead star.
Soon, a controversy erupted where the makers of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo's Hindi remake Shehzada starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon were left in a fix.
If the Hindi dubbed version works, there were high chances the Hindi remake would have suffered badly at the box office.

Dating and relationships mean different for a man and a woman. While lack of communication and being cocky is what turns women off, it’s the complete opposite for men.
Nothing puts off a man worse than a woman who is arrogant and complaining. Well, that’s just one example.
© Maddock Films
Someone on Reddit asked men what turns them off while dating. From keeping their partners entertained to self-esteem issues in women, men listed down some of the things that repel or annoy them while they are dating someone. These might be commonly accepted by most people but are absolute deal breakers in a relationship for them.
© Walt Disney Pictures India
Here are some of the most logical answers and major turn-offs that made men walk away, break up and ghost in a relationship.
1. “"Let's hear your funniest pickup line", "entertain me", etc. I have zero interest in single handedly carrying every conversation.” –BerzerkBoulderer

2. “Expecting me to be constantly digitally available. Sometimes I just don’t want to text people and be in my own space. –chrisbarf
3. “Dating someone with significant self-esteem issues. Don't expect that to change just because you're dating them.” –georgewashingguns
4. "I bet I'm more _____ than you," or "I bet I'm a better XYZ than you." Like, ok? You're right, you win. Bye, now! I am not interested in "competing" with my partner unless we're talking about a snowball fight. To me, it's low key negging and a huge turn-off.” –blacksweater

5. “Thinking they're so attractive that they're a PRIZE and I have to prove myself to deserve their attractiveness.” –PorcupinePower
6. “Viewing *** as anything other than a mutually enjoyable activity. *** is not something that a girl "gives" to me, it's not something that I have to earn, it's not something that can be taken off the table as a punishment, etc. It's something we do together to bond and enjoy each other. "The amount of women who try to use *** as some sort of bargaining chip to get other things they want or to incentivize behaviour is disgusting and is a massive turn off for me.” –yessum447

7. “I've ghosted women for not getting off their phone in the middle of the date. I don't actually care what's going on with her nitwit friends, we're supposed to be on a date and that can't happen if she's always staring at her phone.” –OhYeahThrowItAway

Our social media feeds are currently filled with the wedding pictures of Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar. The Gold actress finally tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend, Suraj Nambiar on 27th January in a beautiful wedding in Goa.
While Mouni excluded every ounce of elegance as a traditional South Indian bride, we can’t get over the dashing groom who pulled off a full-grown beard at his wedding.

For grooms-to-be who are wondering how to look put together with their lockdown beard at their wedding, here is plenty of inspiration.
If you are not still ready to give up the bearded look as a groom, you can try out different beard styles and still look as stylish and dashing as Mouni’s husband.

Suraj went with a long, groomed beard for his wedding. Talking about his hair, he went with a side fade haircut and short hair, proving that some scruff in your wedding pictures would only reflect your personal style. It made for the coolest pictures at his haldi too.

Here are a few tips on how you can groom and maintain a badass beard look for a wedding you're attending:
1. Follow A Beard Routine © iStock
Just like the hair on your head, your beard hair needs proper care too. Use beard care products to maintain the health of your beard.
Plus, products that target the beard eliminate skin woes caused by beard hair like itching and acne and help in the fast growth of your beard.
2. Trim & Clean © iStock
Washing your beard regularly, trimming unruly facial hair and keeping your beard clean can really amp up your beard and make it look more presentable.
Even before the wedding or pre-wedding functions, take out a few minutes to trim and make your beard look even and non-scruffy.
3. Use Beard Oil © iStock
To make your beard look neater and groomed in the pictures, use beard oil regularly before the wedding ceremonies begin.
Make sure to keep the hair tamed with a moisturising oil and brush it to make it look more put together and proper.

The Virat Kohli Vs Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) tiff that left the whole cricket fraternity in a shock seems to be a never-ending saga in Indian cricket.
Every other day a comment comes from a cricket expert that keeps the whole fiasco alive on social media.
Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif, speaking on the controversy involving the Indian board and Kohli, said that its fate was written when legendary spinner Anil Kumble was asked to step down as head coach of the team.
The matter (b/w Kumble & Kohli) should have been handled a lot better, by whoever is in charge. It was not handled properly: Sourav Ganguly pic.twitter.com/gefNoMWjgo
— ANI (@ANI) June 28, 2017
In 2017, Anil Kumble had stepped down as the coach of the Indian team after Kohli had informed the Indian board that he had reservations with Kumble’s style of coaching. Ravi Shastri then took over from Kumble and served as the head coach for four years.
Latif, in a YouTube video, said that Shastri had no knowledge of coaching a side and yet, he was put at the helm.
“All this began happening when Anil Kumble was wrongly removed as coach. Ravi Shastri had taken no coaching courses and yet he directly took entry as the coach. This was a strong group – Kumble had over 600 wickets and Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid were his teammates. This trio is very strong,” Latif said in a YouTube video.
The former Pakistan wicket-keeper further found similarities between Pakistan cricket from the 1990s and the current Indian cricket scenario. He added that it was personal attacks from Ganguly towards Shastri that impacted Indian cricket.
“By all means, Ganguly told Shastri 'boss, it's time to go' even if Shastri had considered continuing as coach. This whole thing that has been building up since before the T20 World Cup, these are personal attacks and it has impacted Indian cricket. What happened with Pakistan in the early 1990s is happening today with Indian cricket,” Latif added.

— BCCI (@BCCI) November 16, 2021
After Shastri’s tenure ended, another Indian great Rahul Dravid took charge of the men’s senior team.
Dravid’s first Test series as head coach ended with a 1-2 defeat in South Africa and to add salt to the wound, captain Virat Kohli, a day later, relinquished captaincy from the longest format of the game.

— Cricket South Africa (@OfficialCSA) January 24, 2022
No matter how much the team and the Indian board denies, the off-field controversy certainly looked like it played a part in the outcome of the Test and ODI series in the Rainbow nation.
After losing the Test series 1-2, India suffered an embarrassing 0-3 whitewash in the 50-over format.

Love has a strange way of finding people and in the world of entertainment, while some stars look for that someone special, others fall prey to infidelity and find love elsewhere. Back in 2009, the industry down south was shaken with the news of Prabhudeva, who is known as the Michael Jackson India, and actress Nayanthara’s alleged love story.
The story of their affair rocked their life and the life of director-actor’s family, especially his wife Ramlath, who blamed Nayanthara for their ugly divorce and even cursed her.
© Twitter
The couple started making public appearances and soon it felt like the two would eventually get together. Prabhudeva ended his 16 year old marriage and after a hefty alimony, separated from his wife. The sad twist in the tale came right after. Prabhu and Nayanthara’s relationship took a sour turn and they too sadly called it quits! This obviously got the industry talking. During an interview with TOI, Nayanthara opened up about her split with Prabhudeva and admitted that her life was shattered post the break up.
© Zoom entertainment
"To get into a break-up for anyone is the most difficult phase in their life. When you have to go away from someone you love or vice-versa, whatever the reason, it really shatters your life. But how you deal with it is important. I can't get into how I dealt with it but I have to if I want to move on and live my life”, she said. She even altered the tattoo she had got made on her forearm for her lover. While the reason for their split was never reveald by either of them, both have moved on in life and it is believed that the actress may tie the knot with beau Vignesh Shivan soon.
