Some very famous and commercially successful movies have not seen the light of the day in theaters in India because of censorship issues. Sometimes the Censor board banned these movies and other times they were banned in several states over religious uproar. However, with the magic of the internet, everything is now accessible. Here are 5 banned movies which can be viewed online:
1. 50 Shades DarkerThe entire trilogy of this erotic film series starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson had to face heat in terms of censorship and while this steamy movie was banned in India over issues pertaining to a lot of nudity and intense *** scenes, you can view it on Netflix now.
2. The Da Vinci CodeThis movie stirred up a storm of controversy and was banned in over 7 states in India after it was accused of showing Christian community in a bad light and there were reservations about how Jesus Christ was described in the film. It is available on Netflix now.
3. Indiana Jones & The Temple Of DoomBack in 1984, the sequel to the famous Raiders Of The Lost Ark caused a major uproar in the country. The depiction of Indian villages, the people and the fictitious outlook of the Hindu mythology naturally angered the people here and hence it was not allowed to be released. You can watch it on YouTube now.
4. The Girl With The Dragon TattooThis dark movie is a big hit overseas but after the Censor board asked a few love making, torture and rape scenes to be cut, director David Fincher refused to oblige and as a result, the movie was banned in the country. It can be streamed and rented on YouTube now.
5. WaterDeepa Mehta’s controversial film starring John Abraham which was set against the backdrop of the rising colonial power in Varanasi, was banned in the country for hurting religious sentiments with its explicit sexual content. The movie shows a widow who is finding love again and back in 2005, it was still a subject of controversy. It is available on YouTube.

Kapil Sharma married Ginni Chatrath in 2018 and the couple has two beautiful daughters.
The comedian has spoken openly about his wife only a few times on his show and interviews and has confessed that she is his support system who has been with him right from the start.
However, we don’t know much about their love story, except the fact that they met in a theatre group.
© Instagram/Kapil Sharma
Recently, a promo from his Netflix stand-up special I’m Not Done Yet was posted on Instagram where he was seen sharing with the audience about how he proposed to her. And, like a lot of his stories, this too had something to do with alcohol. We are not surprised.
© Instagram/Kapil Sharma
Giving the backstory about how they knew each other, he said, "She was my favourite actress. We used to do theatre together. I used to assign her a lot of work. She used to call me and report what happened and how many rehearsals they did.”
© Instagram/Kapil Sharma
“One day she called me up. I had had some Officer's Choice (a whisky brand). High thoughts! As soon as I picked up, I asked, 'Do you love me?' She was taken aback and said, 'What!? Ye aadmi me himmat kaise aa gayi (How did this man get so much courage)?'
I am thankful I didn't drink toddy (a beverage with mild alcohol) that day. Otherwise, my question would have been, 'Ginni tere papa ko driver chahiye? (Ginni, does your father need a driver)?'"
© Instagram/Kapil Sharma
Ginni stays away from the limelight and is not seen even on Kapil’s talk show, unlike his mother who sits in the audience.
However, for this stand-up special show, which happens to be his OTT debut, Ginni was seen not only rooting for him in the audience but also interacting and responding to his questions in a fun way.
© Netflix
When he asked her why she chose to marry a man with a scooter, despite belonging to a well-off family, she said, “I thought everyone marries a rich guy, let me do some charity for this poor man.”
This proves Kapil has truly met his match when it comes to the humour department!

Women notice more than just your sense of humour and chivalry on the first date. They observe how well-groomed you are, how presentable you look and how well dressed you are for the date.
Most men know that as well and leave no stone unturned to impress the woman they are meeting for the first time.
© Dharma Productions
A guy on Reddit sought advice on how he should dress (among other things) on his first date and desi guys, who have been there, done that and impressed their dates with a swell outfit, obliged with a few pearls of wisdom.
© Dharma Productions
Here are some of the best fashion tips and things to avoid, according to desi men that work wonders for the first date, but also every subsequent date you take her to (because you are going to score a second one). Guys, take notes:
1. Pick Your Clothes Wisely © Dharma Productions
"Wear clothes that fit properly, brand doesn’t matter that much. Avoid wearing clothes with explicit branding on them as it can project tackiness.
But again, if you can pull it off, do it.
Most important, don’t be insecure about anything you’re wearing…You’ll mostly get a boner when she holds your hands so wear clothes that don’t make it obvious."
2. Take Outfit Inspiration From Social Media"Wear muted colours, I go for a black trench coat or heavy jacket with a navy or grey sweater inside, it's too cold out here. Look at Dark Academia Outfits on Pinterest for inspiration but don't copy it, just take out what suits you and build on that."
3. The Complete No-No’s“No open-toed shoes. no cargo shorts. avoid graphic tees.”
© Dharma Productions
4. Pay Attention To Accessories“Avoid jeans with sandals, brightly-colour sneakers. Safes options are brown and navy blue. I would avoid black as well. Explicit jewellery. Too many rings? Get rid of them, please. Avoid wearing religious symbols as well.”
5. Grooming Is Important Too“Trim your ear and nose hair. Use aftershave instead of deodorant.”
© RSVP Movies
Also, don’t forget personal hygiene…
"Wash your hair the night before, it looks better on the second day; and shower properly the same day. Use a pleasant but very subtle fragrance on pressure points (neck, palm etc.), hygiene and smell is attractive but do it daily and not just for the sake of a date."

The Cricket fraternity is still wondering what the potential reason could be that forced one of the modern-day greats -- Virat Kohli to step down as the captain of the Indian Test team. Despite having an outstanding record as skipper in the longest format of the game, things weren't going as Kohli would have liked.
India were in a position to win a Test series in South Africa for the first time after going 1-0 up in the three-match series. However, an untimely injury to Kohli saw him sit out of the second Test and the Proteas made the most of it by levelling the series with a game left.

— Cricket South Africa (@OfficialCSA) January 6, 2022 Despite a masterful performance by a returning Virat Kohli, India failed to seize the moment and lost the match as well as the series. A day later, Kohli posted a statement on social media, announcing that he will not lead the side anymore.
A report by the Hindustan Times says that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had offered Kohli a farewell Test as the captain of the team but the 33-year-old bluntly refused the offer.
Had Kohli accepted the Indian board's offer, he would have played his 100th Test match in Bengaluru as the captain of the team but with the unrest building between the BCCI and Kohli, it wasn't to be.

— Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) January 15, 2022
The report suggests that Kohli, while rejecting the board's offer, said "One match makes no difference. That’s not how I am.”
Happy with how their king Kohli gave it back to the BCCI, fans lauded the former India captain and called him a GOAT.
As expected , we know he don't care of records, goat captain

— Raj (@RajGopal27) January 17, 2022Kohli had decided to step down as the T20I captain just ahead of the T20 World Cup 2021. He had mentioned that he wanted to continue to lead the side in Tests and ODI. However, the BCCI decided to sack him as the ODI captain and gave the reins to Rohit Sharma, making him the leader of the limited-overs unit.
Kohli had expressed his views on the whole captaincy saga before boarding the flight to the Rainbow nation, refuting what was being said by the board president Sourav Ganguly.

— ICC (@ICC) January 16, 2022 Meanwhile, the turn of events has tarnished BCCI's image among fans and it is now up to the board to make the right calls and win back public support, starting with the appointment of the new Test captain.

For the first time since being removed from ODI captaincy, Virat Kohli will be participating in a 50-over match as India take on South Africa in a three-match series.
Watching Team India being led by someone else other than Kohli in the ODIs would be a strange feeling to most fans because we had grown accustomed to him coming out for the toss.
© Reuters
Coincidentally, it was January 2017 when Kohli became India’s full-time ODI captain and now after five years he is all set to take the field as a player in the same month.
It’s a huge change for any player but former India opener Gautam Gambhir feels that “captaincy is not anyone’s birthright” that they can cling on to for their whole life. It’s a role that comes with an expiry date and Kohli’s journey as the commander of the ship has come to an end.
© Reuters
Giving the example of his predecessor, the southpaw said that Kohli should learn from MS Dhoni who, despite being so successful, passed the baton to him and played under his leadership for a couple of years.
“What new do you want to see? Captaincy is not anyone’s birthright. People like MS Dhoni have given the captaincy baton to Virat Kohli, he has played under Virat Kohli as well. He has won three ICC trophies and four IPL trophies as well,” Gambhir said on a Star Sports show, while previewing the first ODI between India and South Africa.
© Reuters
When asked about what would be Kohli’s new role in the ODI setup, the cricketer-turned-politician said that whether he was leading the side or not his role in the team remained the same as before – score tons of runs.
He further added that when a player decides to pursue his dream and become a professional cricketer, he doesn’t dream of becoming a captain. His only dream is to play at the highest level and to win matches for the country and that’s what Kohli should aim to do in the upcoming series.
© Reuters
“I think Kohli should look to score runs and that is more important. When you dream of playing for India, you don’t dream of becoming a captain."
“You dream of winning games for India and nothing changes, except that you are not going out there to do the toss and set the field placement, but your energy and intensity should remain the same because it’s an honour playing for the country,” he added.
© Reuters
Now that he is relieved of the captaincy duties across all three formats, Kohli would be hoping to retain his old form with the bat and become the batter who used to give headache to the world’s topmost bowlers.
In the absence of regular skipper Rohit Sharma, if the visitors want to make amends for the Test series loss and clinch the back-to-back white-ball series in the Rainbow Nation, then Kohli will have to score loads of runs.
© Reuters
Gambhir is right in saying that with or without captaincy, Kohli’s primary role as a front-line batter is to pile up runs but the way he took a dig at the former skipper was totally unwarranted. Surely, there were better ways to put across his point, without being too personal.

Fitness is essentially eclectic in nature, in spite of most of us associating gym or sports to it. Dance, since time immemorial, has been one of the truly intrinsic facets of fitness, and needs to be recognized more in the mainstream. Thanks to celebs like Nora Fatehi, that phenomenon has started.
View this post on InstagramThanks to Nora's incredible dance numbers, a lot of enthusiasts started taking it up seriously, and some of them even started doing it as a part of their fitness routines. However, there is one gentleman who did something incredible with one of Nora's biggest hits - Kusu Kusu.
View this post on InstagramKusu Kusu got viral because of its super complicated belly dance steps, which no one else can perfectly pull off unless they are a trained professional like Nora. However, dancer Ajit Shetty decided to take up this challenge.
View this post on InstagramHe not only made an extremely important statement by proving that flexibility - which is an inherent part of fitness - has no gender, he even invited Nora herself to perform the song with him. Belly dance has been essentially associated with femininity because of the extensive usage of the pelvis and hips, but it's time we move past the gendered barriers, for something as pure as dance. Ajit was successful in doing just that, while entertaining us at the same time.

Take a look at the video here.
Ajit is a professional dance teacher who teaches belly dance and fusion dances.

1. Increases bone density.
2. Is one of the best low-impact exercises.
3. Helps relieve joint pain and back pain.
4. Strengthens pelvis and glute muscles.
All we can say is, well done, Ajit! All the very best to all your future endeavours!

Virat Kohli made headlines, a day after India lost the Test series in South Africa, as he announced on social media that he is stepping down as the Test captain of Team India. The decision and more importantly the timing of it came in as a surprise to many including fans and former as well as current cricketers.
Kohli teammates, including the white-ball captain Rohit Sharma, were shocked by the big call that Kohli took and fans too were surprised and sad that the 33-year-old felt it is time to pass on the mantle in Test cricket.
Courage, Passion, Grit & Determination!
Thank you, @imVkohli! #TeamIndia pic.twitter.com/q36KXhiJac
— BCCI (@BCCI) January 15, 2022
Kohli ended his stint after taking over the reins from MS Dhoni seven years back in Australia. He will go down as one of the finest skippers and most successful captains in the longest format of the game with 40 wins out of 68 matches.
One thing that was missing during Kohli's era as the captain was an ICC trophy. Kohli came close thrice to win a global event but fell short on all three occasions.
In 2017, he had the chance to win the Champions Trophy but India lost to arch-rivals Pakistan in the summit clash. In the 2019 World Cup, a two-day affair saw India fall short against New Zealand in the semi-final.
Together as one we set out to achieve our goal.Unfortunately we fell short and no one is more disappointed than us as a side. The support from all of you has been fantastic and we are grateful for it all.We will aim to come back stronger and put our best foot forward. Jai Hind pic.twitter.com/UMUQgInHrV
— Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) November 8, 2021
The Kiwis once again spoiled Kohli's party by getting the better of his side in the World Test Championship final in England in 2021.
Former India captain Kapil Dev reflected on Kohli's decision to leave Test captaincy and said that Kohli must have thought hard about his decision before coming to such a conclusion.
Kapil also mentioned that it is now important for Kohli to give up his ego and play under a youngster just like he did during his playing days.
View this post on Instagram
"He is a mature man. I am sure he must have thought hard before taking this important decision. Maybe, he wasn’t enjoying the captaincy. We have to support him and wish him luck," he added.
“Even Sunil Gavaskar played under me. I played under K Srikkanth and Azharuddin. I had no ego. Virat will have to give up his ego and play under a young cricketer. This will help him and Indian cricket. Virat should guide the new captain, new players. We cannot lose Virat, the batsman…no way,” concluded Kapil.
Fans echoed Kapil's words and said that only a GOAT can recognise another GOAT.

Parveen Babi was considered as one of the most glamorous divas of the 70s and 80s. People were crazy to see her on the big screen and wanted to know the whereabouts of their favourite star. Her life back then was an open book as she didn’t believe in hiding her relationships or love affairs.
Parveen’s relationship with Kabir Bedi was talk of the town back in the 70s over their whirlwind romance. Kabir fell in love with Parveen while he was already married to Odissi dancer Protima Gupta. The two were in an open marriage and the latter was aware of the actor's love interest for Parveen.
View this post on InstagramThey were together for a long time but things didn’t work out between them and their relationship turned sour. In his memoir, Kabir Bedi talked about how he was aware of Parveen's mental health and how he wanted to help her, but the actress denied it.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Kabir spoke about how her mental illness and his work commitments came at odds with each other. "Parveen was an extremely sensitive and intelligent woman. She had a great capacity to love. What happened to her was extremely tragic. She gave me enormous love, a sense of togetherness and yet the cloud of her deteriorating mental condition hung over us. The tragedy of her mental illness was unfolding when I was going through my greatest success in Europe, Sandokan. It was a difficult period for me. But at the same time, I thank her for the many things she gave me, including love," he said.
View this post on Instagram
In the interview, the actor also addressed how the three men Parveen Babi was romantically involved with--him, Danny Denzongpa, and Mahesh Bhatt--all attended her funeral in 2005. "Parveen deserved that respect," he said, adding, "Well, we shared her life and she shared ours. At the heart of it, we deeply cared for her though we couldn’t prevent her breakdown."
An excerpt from his autobiography, STORIES I MUST TELL: The Emotional Life of an Actor, read, “I felt for her suffering mind. But my long-suppressed resentments flared as well. I rued the shadows Parveen had cast on my most joyful years. I reminded myself it wasn’t her fault. Perhaps I was equally to blame. Maybe I should have walked away earlier. Yet I couldn’t; she’d needed me desperately. I’d seen myself as her protector. By then, I was mentally and emotionally exhausted. I’d gone from one emotionally draining woman to another, without a pause in between, leaving me no time for myself.”
View this post on Instagram
Writing about her death, Kabir said, "In the end, I learned how Parveen had died. Her body was found in her Juhu flat four days after she died, a leg rotted by gangrene, a wheelchair by her bed. A lonely and tragic end of a star who had once been the fantasy of millions. Three men who had known and loved her - Mahesh, Danny and I - came for her funeral at the Muslim cemetery in Juhu. It was a solemn burial with Islamic rites and chants. We carried her body with relatives to a dimly lit grave. I felt for all she had suffered with a sorrow that came from my depths. Each of us had known her in ways not many knew. Each of us had loved her as only each one knew."
It was tragic how Parveen lost herself to the battle of depression and her death was equally tragically painful.
