    Jr NTR and Ram Charan-starrer RRR was all set to hit the big screens on January 7, however, the makers decided to postpone the film's release date amid the ongoing Omicron scare and rise in COVID-19 cases. Fans, who were eagerly waiting for its release, were left sad and angry with this update. As per the latest buzz, the RRR team is now planning to release the much-hyped movie on a festive occasion.

    Revealing the same, a source informed News18 that COVID-19 cases have started decreasing across the country. Hence, producers of several movies are hopeful that the situation will probably be back to Normal by March. Since RRR is an expensive and much-awaited project, producers do not want to take any risk and want to make sure that they get good returns. 
    The source stated, "The pre-release promotions have created a lot of buzz across the country. The makers are therefore planning to release the film on April 29, which is the Eid weekend. The makers are looking at the situation and will then decide and make an official announcement".

    In case, the makers finalise April 29 as the release date then RRR is expected to clash with Ajay Devgn & Amitabh Bachchan’s Runway 34 as well as Tiger Shroff-starrer Heropanti 2. Speaking about the same, the source added, "All three are big-budget films and if they plan to release on the same day, it will be a huge loss for producers, exhibitors, and distributors. While a lot of films have been postponed and the new release date announcements are expected soon, Eid surely looks a bit crowded and it will be a wait and watch game as to who blinks first".
    Well, we just hope that the situation gets back to normal soon. 
    For the unversed, RRR tells a fictional story of two Telugu freedom fighters named Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. While Ram Charan is playing the role of Alluri Seetharama Raju, Jr NTR will be seen as Komaram Bheem in the film. Directed by Baahubali helmer SS Rajamouli, RRR also has Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, and Shriya Saran playing pivotal roles.

    As Virat Kohli left the Test captaincy, it opened the doors for a never-ending debate -- who will be his successor in the longest format of the game. 
    A few names that fans and cricket pundits are focussing on are the likes of Rohit Sharma, Ravichandran Ashwin and KL Rahul, who led the team in Johannesburg in Kohli's absence.
    Another name that a few fans are speculating might be in the race, is that of young wicket-keeper batter, Rishabh Pant. 
    Pant slammed a century in a losing cause in the second innings of the third Test which India lost and eventually, lost the series 1-2.

    Pant, who captained Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), got the backing of his franchise owner Parth Jindal for the all-important role. DC's owner took to Twitter and batted for Pant to be named the vice-captain so that seniors like Rohit Sharma and Ashwin can groom him to take the job in the next couple of years.
    "Appointing @RishabhPant17 the Vice Captain of the test team and grooming him for the job would be the best thing to do in my opinion,in the interim having someone like @ImRo45 or @ashwinravi99 lead for two years and then hand over to Pant who is an all format player would be best," Parth Jindal tweeted.

    However, fans were quick to slam the "open lobbying" by the IPL franchise and said that Pant first needs to be mature in his approach before taking the role of a leader in the team.

    After ending the year on a high with Spider-Man: No Way Home, Marvel Studios has given the glimpse of their first project of 2022 - Moon Knight, a Disney+ show. 
    Starring Oscar Isaac in the lead role, the teaser of Moon Knight was released last year to great response and the trailer that has been dropped recently too has garnered a huge response from the audience. 
    With Moon Knight, Marvel Studios will be introducing a new character to MCU and going by the trailer, it’s going to be rad.

    Besides Oscar Isaac, Moon Knight also stars Ethan Hawke who seems to be playing the main antagonist of the show.

    As soon as the trailer dropped people started comparing it to Batman. While many threw shade at Batman and praised Moon Knight, there were others who called it a copy of the Dark Knight.

    One user called Moon Knight, “a white hooded Batman”, another tweeted, “POV: you just referred to moon knight as marvels batman”. A user simply stated, “The Batman and its copycat”.  

    There was one user who called himself a fan of Batman but admitted the character of Moon Knight is more interesting and intriguing.  
    One person had his own theory behind the colour of their suits. He wrote, “Batman wears black so his enemies can’t see him coming. Moon Knight wears white because he wants them to, knowing they still won’t be able to do anything.”

    South star Dhanush and wife Aishwaryaa, Rajinikanth's eldest daughter, on Monday announced their separation after 18 years of marriage. This news has left fans heartbroken, however, they are still extending support to the duo and Rajinikanth. While everything seemed well between Dhanush and Aishwaryaa before this announcement, in 2011-2012, there were rumours of a rift in their marriage.

    Did you know that the rumoured rift was because of Dhanush's alleged affair with Aishwaryaa's childhood friend and actress Shruti Haasan? Yes, you read that right! Both Dhanush and Shruti own a huge fan-following down South and when Aishwaryaa decided to turn director with 3, she decided to cast both the actors together in her debut film for obvious reasons.

    However, according to various reports, Dhanush spent most of his time with Shruti during the production and promotion of 3 and avoided making public appearances with Aishwaryaa. As per rumours, this created a rift in their marriage.  

    At that time, there was a buzz that Dhanush and Shruti's amazing onscreen chemistry was a result of their rumoured closeness off-screen. Aishwaryaa was miffed with their closeness which reportedly impacted the marriage. Rajinikanth too was said to be not happy with the situation. 
     
    However, soon after the film's release, the rumours of Dhanush and Shruti's alleged affair fizzled out. Later, in an interview, Aishwarya had also shared that those rumours were baseless. 
    Talking about the linkup rumours with Dhanush, Shruti had told Filmfare, "He is my best friend in the business. He has always helped me artistically. I won’t throw that in trash just because people are talking nonsense about us. I’ve never bothered much about what people say".

    A lot has transpired in Indian cricket in the last few months, both on and off the field. There have been more off-field controversies in the last one year than in the last few years combined.
    And, one thing that has been common in most of these controversies was the involvement of BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah.

    Be it the senior India players complaining to Jay Shah about Kohli’s attitude after the World Test Championship final loss or the two former skippers of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli and Ganguly publicly contradicting each other over T20 captaincy issue, these two top BCCI office bearers have found themselves in the centre of almost every major controversy surrounding Indian cricket.

    If last year was not enough, this duo has  started the new year from where it left off. We are still in the first month of a brand new year and have already witnessed the first major controversy of the calendar year.

    After Kohli announced his resignation from the Test captaincy, many experts are alleging the BCCI chief for making things so difficult for the 33-year-old cricketer that he had no choice left but to quit.

    Given his stature in Indian cricket, when Ganguly took charge of the world’s most powerful cricket board, everyone expected him to do wonders for Indian cricket. People expected him to bring wholesome changes and improve the state of how cricket was being run in the country but that hasn't been the case, at least so far.

    And, looks like it’s going to be like that, with people remembering him more for the various controversies he was involved throughout his extended tenure.

    According to a Sports Tak report, Gangluly and Jay Shah have until October to pass over the batons to their successors as their extended three-year tenure as the administrators of the Indian cricket board will expire towards the end of this year.

    While some of the fans described it as the best news to have come out of India cricket in a while, others were afraid that the duo had already done enough damage that there was no going back from hereon. Some people even joked that with so much time left in October, they could still do a lot of harm to Indian cricket and ensure that their legacy remains unchallenged.

    Virat Kohli's decision to step down as captain of the Indian Test team came as a shock to many, and cricket experts as well as fans are yet to digest the fact that he won't be at the helm in the longest format of the game anymore. 
    Many credited Kohli for keeping Tests alive in an era where Twenty20 cricket has been dominating the sport. 
    However, some former cricketers like Sunil Gavaskar felt had Kohli not relinquished the captaincy, he would've been sacked by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

    Another former cricketer, from across the border, Shahid Afridi too gave a controversial statement on the whole saga of Kohli quitting Test captaincy.
    Afridi praised Kohli for leading the team with aplomb but added that in every cricketer's journey, there comes a time when he fails to take the pressure and that is what prompted Kohli to take such a massive call.

    "It's fine in my opinion. Virat has played enough cricket and led the team well. And I believe this is the correct decision. There comes a stage where you can't handle pressure, and because of it, your own performances get affected. So, I think he has captained for a long time and at a great level. As a batsman, it's time he enjoys his cricket," Afridi said on a show on Samaa TV.
    On the same show, Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan also gave his views on Kohli and credited the 33-year-old for taking Indian cricket to new heights during his seven-year stint.
    "Just like Afridi said, as long as one enjoys, he carries on. The way he has led the team and the culture of fitness that he brought in the team, that is something huge for Team India what all he achieved in seven years. Everyone respects his decision, maybe he wants to enjoy his cricket now. If you feel it is a burden, then you step down," Rashid said.

    Kohli stood down as the Indian Test captain after leading the side in 68 matches. He managed to win 40 Tests, the most by any Indian captain during his time at the helm. It was under Kohli's leadership that India went on to register their first-ever Test series win in Australia.
    Kohli, if he chooses to feature in the game against Sri Lanka, will be playing his 100th Test match in Bengaluru at the ground where he captained Royal Challengers Bangalore for over a decade.

    Virat Kohli’s Test captaincy resignation has sent shockwaves across the globe. Not just in India, fans and experts across the globe are still struggling to comprehend the circumstances which led to such a shocking decision.
    Pundits like Sunil Gavskar and Sanjay Manjrekar believe that after he lost the Test series in South Africa, Kohli got the idea that his Test captaincy was under threat.

    Hence, preempting the BCCI’s decision he vacated the post to avoid the situation that gave rise to a huge conflict between him and president Sourav Ganguly a couple of months back when he was sacked from ODI captaincy. 
    Nobody knows what went wrong but there is a whole section of people who strongly believe the reason why Kohli stepped down from Test captaincy was due to his differences with the former India skipper, who is at the helm of the BCCI.

    Kohli is the most popular cricketer in the world and it was natural that his decision affected people from across the globe, including Pakistan where is admired a lot. 
    While announcing his decision to step down from Test captaincy, Kohli said that it was his personal choice and the BCCI president also reiterated the same but there are not many people who are buying this claim and former Pakistani cricketer Rasid Latif is one of them.

    “The real reason why these things happen is because you have a tiff with the board. Irrespective of what Virat says that it's his decision or what Sourav Ganguly tweets, this is battle of two stalwarts,” Latif said on a YouTube channel ‘Caught Behind’. 
    “Why did BCCI accept Kohli’s resignation so quickly? How can you accept his resignation, if you consider him a great leader? If they really liked him as a leader and wanted his stature in the Indian team to remain on high, then they shouldn’t have accepted his resignation. It seems they (BCCI) were waiting for him to resign."

    “Some people are emotional. They know when and how to provoke Kohli. When he announced that he won't captain India in T20Is after the World Cup, he was removed as ODI captain as well. You haven't only unsettled Kohli; you've unsettled Indian cricket,” he added. 
    The whole world is busy trying to find out the actual reason behind Kohli’s resignation, but guess what, unless either he or Ganguly speak up, we would never know what caused him to step down despite boasting an enviable captaincy record.

    Suchitra Karthik became a household name as an RJ before she entered the industry as a singer. Back in 2017, she became the center of attention when she started exposing the dark realities of the Kollywood industry. She revealed that she was mishandled by Dhanush’s team in Coimbatore and posted a photo showing her bruised hand. 
    She made serious allegations on Tamil superstar Rajinikanth's son-in-law Dhanush, Anirudh and singer Chinmayi of doing nasty things to her and threatening them of leaking private pictures and videos online as proof. Things got murkier when she shared a private picture of Dhanush on her Twitter account that she deleted later on.

    She wrote, “"I challenge #Dhanush, #Anirudh, #Chinmayi - I know you will troll and deny this, Do you have guts to deny this cheap act?" She further added, "I took those clips from #Dhanush phone and #anirudh phone, and those pics will be leaked to you as promised to you all". The rant didn’t stop here as she elaborated the entire incident and said, “both had *** with me & left me in the bed. With my half sleep, both were watching a #Chinmayi clip that was recorded a few yrs ago… but somehow they mixed something in it that made me drowsy and I was flat. It was a horrible experience after that cannot be said here.”

    Later on, she took to Twitter to clarify that her account was hacked. She wrote, "Account hacked again guys. Sorry about all this. I can only request whoever thinks I'm posting crap, to unfollow me. Coz this is happening way too often and I'm even a bit annoyed now."

    She also added, "Please guys - I don't even socialize with actors, I don't have any of their pictures. More than anything - I am not a mean person. The person who is doing this, wants me to deactivate my acct. I'll do that in a second. But I know I have ppl here who genuinely like me."

    As she dragged Dhanush into the whole fiasco, he chose to maintain a dignified silence. But, he got in major trouble when he got angry and walked out of an interview as the interviewer asked about Suchi Leaks. 

    The anchor asked Dhanush about #suchileaks, and the allegations on him. He said, "I don't know what you are talking about. I have no proper idea about it. I am busy with my film and I don't concentrate on such things." The interviewer then went on to probe him further and asked if he experienced any mental agony during that time. To which, he said, “Who said I went through mental agony? Did I ever say that to anyone?"
    It was quite evident that he wasn’t comfortable talking about the controversy but the anchor didn’t stop just yet as she went on to ask him about the allegations that the singer levelled against him. 
    He said, "I don't have to share things about my personal life with you. Will you reveal your personal matters to me? There is something called privacy... I am not answerable to you and this is a stupid interview."
    He then chose to walk out of the interview.

    According to The News Minute, the actor did regret walking out of the interview. He is quoted to have said, “It was silly of me, I am generally a calm person, but I did react in a way I shouldn’t have. My intention was clear. I didn’t want to answer the question. But the strong reaction was unwarranted. Actually, I haven't slept for two weeks since I was busy with my upcoming film.” 
    Dhanush is currently in news for his separation with wife Aishwaryaa R Dhanush. They have separated after 18 years of being together.
