Before making it big in the industry, our favorite celebs have picked odd jobs to survive and make a living. Sonu Sood who has been in the news for his humanitarian work in the pandemic era featured in advertisement of Nagraj comics. We came across an ad from 1997 wherein you can see Sonu Sood fighting for justice and is giving it back to all the goons.
Considering it was the era of 90s, the video is shot at a very low resolution and it does look cringeworthy. He is seen breathing fire, fighting beats and to top it all, he has green eyes. Yes, this is real. The Instagram page RarePhotoClub shared the video and wrote, "Once upon a time when Sonu Sood starred as Naagraj in an ad for raj comics. He has come a long way from a reel to a real-life savior."
Here’s the advertisement featuring Sonu Sood:

People who saw the advertisement found it hilarious and felt that he had low key Spider-Man features.
Here are the reactions:

During his appearance on 'The Kapil Sharma Show', Sonu was asked to confirm the rumour he was Nagraj. He said it's true and shared an anecdote stating, "It was an embarrassing moment when I started my career in Delhi, I got my first role as Nagraj. Wearing that green costume, I went on shooting in Delhi. We had a small crew of 20 people. I was the fire breathing Nagraj. Later, my photograph was printed in that comic book too. I became famous in Delhi at that time."
Sood added, "Once, in Lajpat Nagar Market, I saw a comic book with my photograph on it. I felt embarrassed thinking that I wasn't like that at all. My sister-in-law told me to buy one to keep it as a memory, 'you will feel good seeing this when you become a star.' I told her I don't want to. I didn't buy it but now I regret that I don't have that memory of being Nagraj."
Back in 2019, there were reports that Ranveer Singh might play the role of the iconic Indian superhero Nagraj in a big-screen adaptation of the comic book series. Manoj Gupta, president of publisher Raj Comics, told PTI that Karan Johar would be producing the movie. “We are in talks with Ranveer Singh and Karan Johar for a live-action silver-screen adaptation of Nagraj. While nothing is inked so far, things are looking positive,” Gupta said.
Nagraj was the creation of Sanjay Gupta published by Raj Comics. The snake king was a fictional superhero penned by Prashuram Sharma and illustrated by Pratap Mullik.
Well, nothing was ever materialized so Sonu Sood is the real Nagraj and no one can take this crown away from him.

There is something about Rishabh Pant and the last innings of a Test series. The guy simply comes alive when it matters the most and transforms himself into a completely different player.
He showed exactly that in Brisbane 12 months ago and a couple of months later during the fourth and the final test match against England in Ahmedabad. These were the two knocks that made the whole world stand up and applaud.
© Rishabh Pant Instagram
In Gabba, it was his 89 not out that guided India to a historic Test series win Down Under, while in Ahmedabad, he scored the third Test century of his career in India's second innings that helped the hosts collect crucial points and book a place in the World Test Championship (WTC) final.
The 24-year-old batter made a decent contribution with the bat in India’s second innings of the WTC final but it wasn’t enough to get the desired result.
© Rishabh Pant Instagram
The next Test series that India played in England was cancelled prematurely with a game left after a COVID-19 breakout within the Indian camp, and Pant never got the opportunity to leave his mark on the series.
Some might call it a mere coincidence but after watching Pant bat in the second innings of the series final in Cape Town, we have started to think otherwise and we are not alone.
There are many people like us who believe that this is a pattern.
View this post on Instagram
One of the possible explanations of the same could be that the Roorkee-born wicket-keeper plays with great maturity and puts a huge prize on his wicket when there is something to play for.
When he walked into bat on the third morning, India were in a deep state of bother having lost two of their most-experienced batter Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane within a span of 10 deliveries.
View this post on Instagram
It was the worst possible start India could have asked for and things were looking bleak.
The South African pacers were right on their throat and it looked as if Indian batting would crumble like it did in Johannesburg. Because after Kohli, there was not much batting left and those who were left hadn’t scored enough runs to give the sense of security that was needed.
But Pant, who had copped with immense criticism for throwing away his wicket on multiple occasions in the series, walked in with a different mindset.
View this post on Instagram
Given India’s miserable situation, the ideal advice that anybody would have given him was to spend some time in the middle, get a hang of how the pitch was behaving and play second fiddle to the Indian skipper.
While any other batter would have taken this advice, the problem doesn't work for a player like Pant who loves playing his shots and taking the attack to the opposition bowlers.
© Reuters
Instead of going by the book, Pant did what he knows best – attack.
He didn’t let the match situation affect his approach and smashed a counter-attacking fifty off just 58 balls. But he wasn’t going after every ball blindly, there was a method to his madness and brought India right back in the game.
The people who were criticising him for not respecting the match situation last week, now fell short of words while praising his gem of a knock.
Social media was flooded with countless posts as people praised the young wicket-keeper. Some called him a generational talent, others described him as one of the biggest match-winners in the longest format.
When the lights are brightest, Pressure is highest, Crowds are the loudest, The best will arrive, The strongest will survive, The greatest will thrive.

— Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) January 13, 2022If rising on important occasion is an art, than Rishabh Pant is the Picasso of it. #Rishabpant pic.twitter.com/OgeqncORal
— Guna RISHAB (@YellapuGuna) January 13, 2022Rishabh Pant's false shot percentage in this innings is now 8.7% - that is the lowest false shot percentage for any batsman in any innings (min 50 balls faced) this series (there are 31 such innings). He's doing this while scoring at 5.17 runs per over. #SAvIND
— The CricViz Analyst (@cricvizanalyst) January 13, 2022A very good half century for Rishabh Pant under pressure. Keep going lad! #SAvIND
— Chloe-Amanda Bailey (@ChloeAmandaB) January 13, 2022Rishabh Pant showing why he’s one of the most impressive characters around. Bad shot - and bad decision - in the second Test, lambasted for it, and could easily have gone into his shell. Instead, he’s played basically the perfect counter-punch. Gun#SAvIND
— Ben Gardner (@Ben_Wisden) January 13, 2022Patience from Kohli and natural aggression from Pant. This is a mix of Test batting at its very best. Vital in the context of the match & series.
— Bhawana (@bhawnakohli5) January 13, 2022In his short career Pant has played some very vital knocks in really tough conditions. Long career ahead!! #INDvsSA
— Gaurav Sundararaman (@gaurav_sundar) January 13, 2022With this knock, Pant was able to silence his critics but even he knows that his job is far from done. If India wants to win the series then he needs to bat long and convert into a big knock.

This movie was perhaps one of the most memorable movies for both Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor, simply because it is one of those regrets in life that no one is ever able to completely shake off. In fact, if the word ‘offensive’ would ever have to be personified into a Bollywood movie, it would basically re-release as Kambakkht Ishq.
But let’s hope that never happens...
via GIPHY
The idea of the movie was simple - to kill every last remaining brain cell in people’s minds so they can adapt themselves to watching this kind of mindless drama laced with bikini shots and double meaning jokes - both of which turned out to be as unfunny as the script.
© Nadiadwala grandson entertainment
The movie starts with a basic ‘hate at first sight’ kind of a premise. Viraj aka Akshay Kumar is a stuntman and Simrita Rai aka Kareena Kapoor is a medical student and both of them have their best friends married to each other.
What is to be noted here, that in the movie, Viraj and Simi have as low an opinion for each other as we do of this film, in general. And considering, we wanted to rip our eyes out of mid-movie, you can imagine the animosity between the two characters here.
via GIPHY
Simi is the manifestation of any millennial woman who has gone through more heartbreaks than she has relationships at this point - bitter, cynical and in denial. While Viraj is a typical fu*kboi who will think and act both from his di*k and while caring about only one thing - his protein shake.
© Nadiadwala grandson entertainment
So, the film starts with Simi trying to brainwash her best friend Kamini into dumping her husband Lucky, who Simi thinks is just like any other man in her opinion - shallow and hungry for ***.
© Nadiadwala grandson entertainment
Viraj, on the other hand, is trying to manipulate Lucky into getting his way, however, the commotion ends up with Lucky and Kamini being out on three-month probation and marriage counselling.
© Nadiadwala grandson entertainment
And all of this is unfurling while Simi is degrading an entire profession and Viraj is acting like a total di*k, forcing a kiss on Simi and eve-teasing her wherever she goes. And because Bollywood is known for being tone-deaf while directing such problematic and misogynistic scenes, they even made a song out of such lack-of-consent type of content.
© Nadiadwala grandson entertainment
Just so when anyone asks what is worse than a man forcing himself on a woman, Bollywood can answer with the name of this godforsaken movie.
© Nadiadwala grandson entertainment
Anyway, as the movie mindlessly progresses, Viraj gets into an accident while performing a stunt and is taken to the hospital where Simi is to operate on him. Unwillingly, both decide to cooperate for the sake of his health.
© Nadiadwala grandson entertainment
However, things get tense after Simi realizes that a charm from her bracelet was dropped and left behind in Viraj’s stomach during the operation.
© Nadiadwala grandson entertainment
Desperate to get it out in order to not get sued, Simi puts on her manipulative hat and becomes the most despised character of the film by scheming, planning and plotting against Viraj and also sexually exploiting him for her own interests.
© Nadiadwala grandson entertainment
Basically, being the typical bitchy prototype for women that a lot of men are often left scarred by.
© Nadiadwala grandson entertainment
Not only does she put up a charade to show she has fallen in love with him, spiking his drink and dancing to the tunes of ‘bebo main bebo’ for him, but constantly uses him and her charm to unlawfully operate on the guy and get her pendant out.
© Nadiadwala grandson entertainment
Viraj, who had genuinely fallen for Simi by this point, was truly heartbroken and instantly jumped from her to a Hollywood actress put in the movie just to make up for the lack of substance - Denise Richards.
© Nadiadwala grandson entertainment
Somehow, the love between this hotshot actress and stuntman grows leaps and bounds and after a couple few sexist and racist shots, where Denise tells Viraj she wants to have ‘golden babies’ with him, Simi finally acts out of a surge of jealousy.
All of this happens not before Simi helps Lucky and Kamini reconcile and is saved by Sylvester Stallone on the streets who happened to be just casually taking a stroll in an unsafe neighbourhood, but also by gate-crashing Viraj’s wedding and ruining it.
© Nadiadwala grandson entertainment
Of course, in the end, she gets to ride off with her stuntman into the sunset while Denise is left at the altar, but hey, isn’t that the beautiful message of the movie anyway? Apna kaam banta, bhaad main jaaye banta!
© Nadiadwala grandson entertainment
A motto that the director also took way too seriously by making a movie that might’ve made him millions but only made the audience miserable!

In a recent interview, Kriti Sanon opened up about the failure of her 2017 film Raabta and how she and the lead actor Sushant Singh Rajput had sulked about it over wine along with the director Dinesh Vijan while they discussed why the film failed.
While the music of the film was a hit, the execution failed to click with the audience.
Moreover, before the release itself, the film was in trouble over a legal suit filed by Allu Arjun’s father producer Allu Aravind.
© Twitter/Allu Arjun
He had accused the makers of Raabta of plagiarism saying that the movie has copied their 2009 blockbuster Magadheera directed by SS Rajamouli.
Allu Aravind had also released a statement about the same stating that they have filed a legal suit against the film as they have come to know through various sources including promos and publicity materials that Raabta is an unofficial copy of Magadheera.
#Magadheera makers take #Raabta to court... #AlluAravind issues official statement: pic.twitter.com/aos1bVa97P
— taran adarsh (@taran_adarsh) May 25, 2017
Later, the decision went in favour of Raabta as Allu Aravind decided to withdraw the case.
The producer had then released a statement saying they have “settled the legal dispute amicably outside the court”.
#GeethaArts - Producers of #Magadheera have issued an official statement reg #Magadheera vs #Raabta court case.. pic.twitter.com/43FZ7ZaZbp
— Ramesh Bala (@rameshlaus) June 8, 2017
Raabta director Dinesh Vijan was happy with the win but stated that he had offered the makers of Magadheera to watch Raabta but they refused.
He told Forbes, “I see Bollywood and the southern film industries as one industry, and I’ve directed films before, and I’ve never copied anything. These things don’t need to go to court. I had offered a screening of Raabta for the makers of Magadheera, but they didn’t see it. [The issue] could’ve been dealt with a month earlier had they watched the film. A lawsuit does create panic and it’d be very silly if I say that it doesn’t bother me.”
© Maddock Films
In the end, nothing mattered as the film was rejected by the audience and was deemed a disaster at the box office. Made on a budget of Rs 47 crore, it only collected Rs 33 crore globally.

One of the greatest cricketers of our generation, Rahul Dravid is someone who has always done everything to help the team. From donning the wicket-keeping gloves to playing out of position, ‘The Wall’ never complained about anything throughout his career.
Irrespective of which jersey he donned, he always strived to contribute to the team’s success in whatever manner he could. Big or small, he didn’t care.
© Reuters
After Sachin Tendulkar, he is the only Indian batter who scored more than 10,000 runs in both ODIs and Test cricket. But unlike many other cricketers, he never played the sport for personal glory and that perhaps was one of the reasons why he was able to achieve so many things.
It was his love for the game that not only enabled him to have a successful career but also made him a fan favourite. Many players have scored the same amount of runs as the Karnataka batter but not everyone gets the same amount of love as him. And there’s a reason why.
© Reuters
He achieved some incredible feats in his glorious career spanning nearly two decades but the reason why common folks like us admire him so much is his humility. This quality of his is what people resonate with the most.
As said before, Dravid cared about each and every team that he played for. There’s a reason why people call him a ‘perfect team player', he did everything in his capacity to help the team’s cause.
© Reuters
And we witnessed the perfect example of his commitment when he turned up for his childhood club Bangalore United Cricket Club (BUCC), a couple of months after officially announcing his retirement from all forms of the game.
The former India skipper retired from all forms of the game back in 2013 after losing to Mumbai Indians in the T20 Champions League final.
Dravid's childhood club BUCC was about to get relegated. The coach asked Rahul to play & save them from relegation. He accepted it & made a century helping BUCC to get the req points. This is after his retirement from all forms of cricket in Oct2013. #HappyBirthdayRahulDravid pic.twitter.com/vwdJ8Vn7cj
— Kaushik (@_CricKaushik_) January 10, 2022
But in October 2013, the coach of Dravid’s childhood club approached the Indian legend and asked him to play and help them avoid relegation.
Any other player of Dravid’s stature would have probably denied the request saying it was well below their league but he didn’t. He agreed to help his childhood club where he spent his formative years, learning the craft of the game.
© Reuters
The match was a part of Karnataka State Cricket Association’s (KSCA) Group I Division II and if not for Dravid’s knock, BUCC would have dropped down to the lower tier.
The legendary batter smashed 113 runs and helped the club take the important first innings lead. His century earned them three valuable points and the club was able to retain its place in the division.
© Reuters
Another aspect that highlighted Dravid’s commitment to the game was that before coming out to bat on Day 2 he was on the field on the opening day of the match. Now, he wasn’t required to tire himself out in the field in the preceding day but he did, which speaks volumes of the man’s character.
This incident further establishes what a gem of a person Dravid is and he continues to be the heartbeat of countless Indian cricket fans.

Ranbir Kapoor made his acting debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2007 dud Saawariya. However, he received a positive response for his performance and soon bounced back with romantic comedies like Bachna Ae Haseeno, slapstick comedy Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and coming of age drama Wake Up Sid.
Over the years, he created a niche for himself and delivered some of the most loved films. However, there came a phase in his life when he delivered the biggest hit (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani) of his career and followed it up with four flops (Besharam, Roy, Bombay Velvet and Tamasha).
© Vinod Chopra Films
But, he once again returned to form with Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju, a biopic on the life of Sanjay Dutt that is currently the second highest-grossing film of Bollywood.
While Ranbir’s last release was, in fact, one of the biggest box office blockbusters, a lesser-known fact is that he holds an unwanted box office record that no other actor would want in their resume.
In the list of top 5 biggest box office disasters of all time in Hindi cinema, Ranbir Kapoor has two films.
© Fox Star Studios
These two films include 2015 dud Bombay Velvet and 2017 flop Jagga Jasoos, which Ranbir also produced.
According to Box office India, Bombay Velvet, helmed by Anurag Kashyap, has the lowest footfalls amongst the 5 films and was also the biggest disaster until 83 released and took over the top spot.
Currently, Bombay Velvet is at the second spot with a meagre 22.24 lakh footfalls & a whopping Rs 70 crore loss. Jagga Jasoos, on the other hand, is on the fifth spot with footfalls of 49.74 lakh and incurred a loss of around Rs 50 crore.
© Disney
Bombay Velvet was made on a budget of Rs 118 crore and collected a poor Rs 22.80 crore. Whereas, Jagga Jasoos was made on a budget of Rs 131 crore and collected Rs 52.61 crore.
So, to sum it up, Ranbir is a part of both the lists - top 5 biggest blockbusters & top 5 biggest disasters.
© Reliance Entertainment
The other three films in the list include Ranveer Singh starrer 83 at the top spot with a loss of Rs 80 crore.
Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero at number 3 with loss of around Rs 70 crore and Hrithik Roshan starrer Mohenjo Daro at number 4 with Rs 55 crore loss.

Not everyone in Indian cricket gets a long rope despite a string of low scores like the duo of Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara have been getting.
We have seen the likes of legends like Yuvraj Singh and Virender Sehwag being dropped by the selectors due to poor form but that doesn't seem to be the case with the current selectors and team management.
Both Pujara and Rahane have played six innings each in the ongoing tour of South Africa and have scored 124 and 136 runs, respectively.
India's lead crosses the 50-run mark!

The duo, who was already under fire for not performing, had the chance to shut their critics with a match-winning knock in the third Test in Cape Town. However, the start of Day 3 of the Test saw Pujara lose his wicket on the second ball of the day and Rahane too followed suit in the very next over.
The dismal batting performance of the duo saw a lot of reactions from fans on social media and most of them had only one thing to say 'enough is enough'.

— Sumanth Raman (@sumanthraman) January 13, 2022With captain Virat Kohli returning to the playing XI, India persisted with Rahane in the middle-order and dropped Hanuma Vihari even after the latter impressed one and all in the second Test.
Rahane registered scores of nine and one in two innings of the series decider. On the other hand, Pujara after contributing with a knock of 43 in the first innings, fell for nine in the second essay.

Apart from Vihari, there is Shreyas Iyer as well waiting in the wings for a spot in the Indian Test team's middle-order. Iyer started his Test career with a century and a half-ton in his debut game but the team went for experience in the Rainbow nation but with what we have seen on this tour, the decision backfired.
Rahane and Pujara's failure with the bat left India in a spot of bother but captain Kohli and wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant steadied the ship.

The cybercrime wing of Hyderabad Police has registered a case against actor Siddharth after a woman filed a complaint over his recent remarks on Saina Nehwal.
A senior police official reportedly informed PTI that based on the complaint a case has been registered against the actor under IPC Section 509 (word, gesture, or act intended to insult the modesty of women) and under other relevant sections of the Information Technology Act.
It all started when Saina Nehwal shared her thoughts about the security breach of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Punjab. She wrote, "No Nation can claim itself to be safe if the security of its own PM gets compromised. I condemn, in the strongest words possible, the cowardly attack on PM Modi by anarchists.”

She was attacked by Siddharth and his tweet was bashed by people for its sexist nature. Siddharth quoted Saina's tweet and wrote, "Subtle cock champion of the world... Thank God we have protectors of India. Shame on you #Rihanna.” People bashed him for disrespecting Saina who has got so many medals for the country. Sauna’s husband and father also condemned Siddharth’s tweet and demanded for an apology.

After receiving hate for his tweet, Siddharth has apologized to Saina. In an apology letter posted on Twitter, Siddharth wrote,"Dear Saina, I want to apologize to you for my rude joke that I wrote as a response to a tweet of yours a few days ago. I may disagree with you on many things, but even my disappointment or anger when I read your tweet, cannot justify my tone and words. I know I have more grace in me than that. As for the jokeif a joke needs to be explained, then it wasn’t a very good joke to begin with. Sorry about a joke that didn’t land."
"I, however, must insist my word play and humor had none of the malicious intent that so many people from all quarters have attributed to it. I am a staunch feminist ally and I assure there was no gender implied in my tweet and certainly no intent to attack you as a woman. I hope we can put this behind us and that you will accept my letter. You will always be my Champion. Honestly, Siddharth,” it added.

Saina has finally responded to Siddharth’s apology by saying that the matter is ‘about women’ and she is not bothered anymore about it.
“He only said it and he is now apologizing. I was surprised to see myself trending on Twitter that day. I haven’t spoken to him but I am happy that he apologized,” she said on the sidelines of the ongoing India Open. “See, it is about women, he shouldn’t target a woman like that but it’s okay, I am not bothered about it, I am happy in my space and god bless him,” she added.
