The Khans of Bollywood share very different dynamics and are the powerful stars of the industry. They all have a huge fan base and cater to their kind of audience. It’s famously known that Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan had a tumultuous history of their friendship and they parted ways for years before finally letting bygones be bygones.
Aamir Khan has also faced issues with Salman Khan in the past. If you are a 90s kid, you have an idea that Salman and Aamir’s 1994 movie Andaz Apna Apna is one of the cult movies till date.  It was reported that none of the actors who were on board for the movie got along with each other. Aamir had such a bad experience working with Salman that he had vowed never to work with him. Yes, you heard it right.

In his appearance on Koffee With Karan in 2013, Aamir had opened up about his poor impression of Salman while working on Andaz Apna Apna and also spoke about how they patched up.

"In Andaz Apna Apna I had a very bad experience working with Salman Khan. I didn't like him then. I found him rude and inconsiderate. After tasting the experience of working with him I just wanted to stay away from Salman," Aamir had said.

But the two finally reconnected in 2002 when Aamir was going through a rough patch with first wife Reena Dutta. To deal with the separation, Aamir had started to drink heavily and one evening Salman went to check on him.
He continued, "Salman walked into my life when I was at my lowest. I had gone through a divorce with my wife. But later we bumped into each other and he expressed his wish to meet me. We met again and drank together and we connected. And it began as a genuine friendship and it has only grown."

Since then Salman and Aamir have never left an opportunity to appreciate each other and their work.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Salman is awaiting the release of Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai which is expected to hit theaters on the occasion of Eid. Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff will also be seen in the crime-thriller.
On the other hand, Aamir is busy with the shoot of Laal Singh Chaddha. Kareena Kapoor Khan will also star in the lead role.

Kriti Sanon and Sushant Singh Rajput worked together in the 2017 film Raabta. The film marked the directorial debut of producer Dinesh Vijan and also starred Jim Sarbh and Varun Sharma.
The reincarnation romantic drama had turned out to be a huge critical and commercial failure upon its release.
Recently, in an interview with Film Companion, Kriti opened up about the film’s failure and revealed how she and Sushant had ‘sulked’ over wine while they discussed the failure of the film with director Dinesh Vijan.
    © Maddock Films
She recalled, “It was a funny night. We were all sulking, we were depressed, we’d gone through really bad reviews and we didn’t know what to say. Dino was just like, ‘Aajao yaar, mood kharab hai (Come over guys, I’m in a bad mood)’. We went there and opened a bottle of wine. Dino said, ‘I think it’s the flashbacks, I should have made it simple. Why did we go tribal?’ Earlier, there was a draft that had a normal raja-rani. It’s more relatable to people, right? But we felt like we wanted to go a little different… I was having a glass of wine, and I said, ‘I told you this'!”

She further added that she had told the director while shooting that the flashback love story doesn’t come across well. However, at that time both Sushant & Dinesh were like, “isko kuch nahi pata hai (She doesn’t know a thing).” But, after the film flopped they were saying the same thing.
    © Instagram/Kriti Sanon
The film also featured Rajkummar Rao in a cameo. He was unrecognisable playing the role of a 324-year-old tribal man named Muwwaqqil Omanaqzi.

And here is my Guest appearance from #Raabta. pic.twitter.com/AZaHryWX6a

As for Kriti Sanon, she had a great 2021 with critically acclaimed Mimi. For the film, she received some of the best reviews of her career.

The actress is now gearing up for the release of films like Bachchan Pandey, Ganapath: Part One, Bhediya, Adipurush and Shehzada, a Hindi remake of Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.

After India lost last week in Johannesburg, Jasprit Bumrah made a promise to the South African players that he would make their life hell in Cape Town.
“Abhi toh bohot uchhal rahe hain, jitna uchhalna hai uchhal lo. Ek test match baaki hai abhi. Batata hun Cape Town mein inko. Jisko sunna hai sun lo. (Let them enjoy their moment for now. Another match is left. I will show them in Cape Town),” Bumrah was heard saying on the stumps towards the end of the second Test match.
    BOOM BOOM

    7th 5-wkt haul in Test cricket for @Jaspritbumrah93 #TeamIndia #SAvIND pic.twitter.com/CYhZD86JsY
    — BCCI (@BCCI) January 12, 2022
The fast bowler was labelled as arrogant when he issued a strong warning to the Proteas and promised to make them pay for their antics during the second Test.
Back then, many had slammed the 28-year-old pacer for his behaviour and for issuing a threat to the opposition players. But Bumrah knew exactly what he was doing.
He didn’t say those words just to look cool or anything. Every single word that came out of his mouth reflected his resolve and determination to make things right in the third and final Test.
South Africa are all out for 210 (Bumrah 5/42)#TeamIndia with a 13-run lead going into the second innings.

    Scorecard - https://t.co/yUd0D0Z6qF #SAvIND pic.twitter.com/amMGG2bNhb
    — BCCI (@BCCI) January 12, 2022
And Bumrah delivered on his promise in style. As promised, he ran riot in Cape Town and picked up his seventh five-wicket haul in red-ball cricket. The Proteas batters, who dominated the play in the final innings of the Johannesburg Test, looked completely clueless against Bumrah’s high-quality bowling. Barring Keegan Petersen, the South African players didn’t know how to tackle him.
Last week in Johannesburg, Bumrah was involved in a heated exchange with Marco Jansen. The Indian speedster didn’t like the way the South African bowler gave him a long stare after bowling a bouncer. The player came face to face, words were exchanged and the umpires had to intervene to calm things down.
Bumrah vs Jansen - THE RIVALRY
What has happened till now? pic.twitter.com/247wkurOBQ
    — Kartik Tripathi (@ImKartik05) January 13, 2022
How things panned out on the penultimate day of that encounter, Jansen would’ve taken it as his victory. He had succeeded in getting under the skin of the Indian pacer. But if he thought that the matter was over, he couldn’t have been more wrong.
When the caravan shifted to Newlands, Cape Town, this rivalry was reignited. Not just Bumrah, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli also wanted his premier fast bowler to get his revenge against the South African youngster.
To have watched what transpired in the Johannesburg Test from the dressing room, and then throw the ball to @Jaspritbumrah93 when #MarcoJansen walked in, is the @imVkohli brand of captaincy! Proper cricket box office!
    — Prithviraj Sukumaran (@PrithviOfficial) January 12, 2022
That’s why when Jansen walked into bat on the second day, Kohli handed the ball to Bumrah, perhaps urging him to get his revenge. The Mumbai Indians pacer bowled a peach of a delivery that ended Jansen’s defiance and sent the stumps cart-wheeling.
Bumrah, who was at the receiving end of Jansen’s stare at the Wanderers, it was time for him to return the favour. As the wickets went flying in the air, the Indian pacer stood there and gave Jansen an epic iconic stare.
Kohli was also pumped and was caught on camera uttering some words while celebrating the wicket.
After the disappointment of Johannesburg, watching Bumrah return to his best was a treat to the eyes of Indian supporters.
Not just fans, the former Indian opener Wasim Jaffer also took to the micro-blogging site and said that the South Africans made a big mistake when they messed up with Bumrah during the second Test.
Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it. Just phenomenal @Jaspritbumrah93 #SAvIND pic.twitter.com/lguXZQsL0p
    — Wasim Jaffer (@WasimJaffer14) January 12, 2022
“Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it. Just phenomenal,” Jaffer tweeted.
Other fans also joined the celebration and heaped praise on Bumrah’s immaculate bowling skills. Many opined that with this bowling spell, Bumrah reminded the opposition that he was not the one to be messed with.
.@Jaspritbumrah93 What a dude reaction to bowling Jansen out.

    — Prajakta (@18prajakta) January 12, 2022Inevitable wasn’t it; this Jasprit Bumrah 5 fer. Champion bowler.
    — Ian “ Ja Mo” Bishop (@irbishi) January 12, 2022You write utter rubbish about Bumrah, say he has been worked out, say he is not his old self, and what he does? Comes back with a 5-fer, and does that by giving away just 42 runs.
    — BALAJI (@deep_extracover) January 12, 2022There is still a lot of cricket left to be played in this match and both teams have equal chances of winning the game.
But history tells us that whenever Bumrah has taken a five-wicket haul in the longest format, India have never lost a game. We just hope that this record keeps intact.

Nothing has hurt Bollywood more than the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

With actors getting Covid-19, shoots getting delayed every now and then, and movies not being able to release, Bollywood's insane earnings have really gone down crazily.
However, amid all the gloom and losses that the industry has had to incur, there is one Bollywood movie that came and shined unlike any other. Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi.
    © Netflix
The film, that opened up a new Marvel-like Cop-universe, really got the numbers up at the box office with people flooding the theatres to go and watch the movie.

Such an insane turn up had not been seen for some time ever since the start of the pandemic. However, Sooryavanshi did it. Why?
Well, while, of course, the storyline and the action sequences were pretty decent in the film, one of the main reasons behind the success of the film was its lead actor Akshay Kumar.
    © Netflix
Not many actors connect to the audience with their Desi street-smartness quite like Akshay Kumar.

The actor, who is really the action-god of Bollywood, is big star power in the industry and gets the fans hooting and laughing unlike any other star in Bollywood.
As a result, while many films failed at the box office, Akshay's Sooryavanshi got crazy box office success.
Now, this formula may indeed get repeated with Akshay being chosen for the upcoming Bade Miyan Chote Miyan sequel alongside Tiger Shroff.
    © Instagram/Tiger Shroff
And to make this happen, Bollywood's Mr Khiladi is being paid a crazy sum of money, a fee that has been, so far, unheard of in the industry.

As per Bollywood Life, Akshay is charging a staggering, record-breaking sum of Rs 165-170 Crores for the film.
"Akshay has apparently hiked his fee for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, demanding an eye-popping, jaw-dropping, unheard of Rs. 165-170 crore for the project from father-son producer duo Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani, whose Pooja Films had financed the original 1998 movie and will also be bankrolling the new version."
The report further states that the makers of the film have given in to his demand as they want to continue their collaboration with Akshay, after having worked with him on Bell Bottom and another movie that is currently planned for the future.
In Bade Miyan Chote Miyan 2, which is the sequel to the original 1998 film starring Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda, Akshay, and Tiger's characters will be based on Amitabh and Govinda's actual characters.

The movie will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar under their banner, Pooja Films.

Test cricket is considered to be the best format of the game as it examines the skills of an individual over the course of five days. In limited-overs format, a passage of brilliance can affect the outcome of the game but when two teams go head to head in the five-day format, players get a chance to make a comeback.
The popularity of Test cricket has come down especially since the arrival of the short-paced Twenty20 cricket where you get a result in three hours. However, true fans and some of the biggest names in world cricket including India captain Virat Kohli have batted for Test cricket and kept the game's oldest format alive.
    Back to Test cricket pic.twitter.com/IgjfuySCWK
    — Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) December 2, 2021 Former South Africa pacer Dale Steyn recently came up with a suggestion to introduce a new rule in the longest format of the game in a bid to make life easier for bowlers (when they are batting).
Steyn asked fans whether they would like to see umpires awarding free-hit after a bowler bowls a no-ball and his tweet generated some varied reactions from cricket fans from all parts of the world.
This rule should be only applicable for last three batters
Because lethal bouncers add a lot of spice in test cricket like we have seen elgar facing those body blows in recent testand also pujara in Australia last year
    — Aamish Mir (@AamishMir1) January 12, 2022Would be too harsh on bowlers to give free hits in tests too..
    — Musk (@muskanupadhyay) January 12, 2022don’t chat with Sachin
    — 𝙋 (@Pran33Th__18) January 12, 2022Nope.. I would rather ask my captain to declare the innings..
    — Rohit Yadav (@cricrohit) January 12, 2022It could work in favour of the bowler in test cricket...... because the batsmen would lose his concentration trying to be aggressive..
    — amar (@amesandy) January 12, 2022No it's test. It can't be endorsed. If this happens then we should play test cricket with white ball. Don't give such idea. This will give no chances to bowler, it would not give bowler to give 100 percent on each ball. https://t.co/nan7dDSSvn

    — William Polak (@willpolak) January 13, 2022After retirement batters want changes that help bowlers and bowlers want changes that help batters.

    Interesting stuff. https://t.co/2dBxFB1oml
    — A-Man (@ratedAMAN) January 12, 2022Steyn's comments came after South Africa's lower-order was finding it difficult to cope with the Indian pace attack and some of their batters, including Kagiso Rabada and Duanne Olivier, copped a few blows on their bodies, facing Jasprit Bumrah and Umesh Yadav, who during their fiery spell, overstepped a couple of times.

Recently, legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar had also suggested a radical change in cricket after Ben Stokes survived in a bizarre manner during the fourth Ashes Test.
Stokes was beaten outside the off-stump and the ball had hit the stumps but the bails didn't come out and hence the England all-rounder carried on batting. Watching the turn of events, Tendulkar suggested that there should be "hitting the stumps" rule added in cricket to make it an even contest between batters and bowlers.

Have you ever had moments where you’re sitting in your chair browsing images of seemingly perfect bodies on the internet, thinking to yourself, “Man, I wish I looked like that! If only my stomach was a bit flatter I’d be happier”?
If such thoughts have crossed your mind, then you too, my friend have fallen prey to unhealthy body standards set by social media, celebrity culture, and social media at large.
While being fit is definitely a pursuit that everyone should pursue, but, when these goals get tied up with unrealistic standards where our body becomes an object for us to project our insecurities onto, it becomes a problem. Unless you’re being paid for it or you’re doing it competitively, having an Insta-perfect body for 365 days a year becomes a lofty expectation to keep.
The sheer determination and discipline (and genetics), required to maintain such a physique cannot be expected from an ordinary person like you and me who aren’t exactly being remunerated for any of these efforts.
    © Nia Sharma
Naturally, even celebrities aren’t immune to such twisted standards, as they’re often the same people who peddle such expectations in the first place. In an interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Nia Sharma opened up about her her body-image issues, admitting that she forced herself to stay hungry just so that her stomach looked flat.

"I stopped eating, man. When I say I stopped eating, it's not even about a diet. I would sleep hungry, I was waking up hungry, I would go to the gym hungry. Hungry bhi nahi, mujhe bhookh bhi nahi lag rahi thi (I would not even feel hungry), because I had lost my appetite. I just wanted to go so hard into that song, look so on-point. And I did, I was just looking at my belly and I was like, 'Look at that'."
    © Nia Sharma
Later on in the interview, the Phoonk Le star revealed her growing acceptance of her own natural body. Nia shared that she suffers from bloating issues, which means despite her best efforts, on some days her stomach wouldn’t look flat no matter how much she dieted or worked out.

"I am a very average-looking girl and I accept that, there is no harm in talking like that. Hate is a very strong word, there is nothing I would like to change in my body. I have bloating issues, I have phases or maybe not, maybe it was in my head that I was a girl who was thin all the time but it cannot happen. It took me years to come to terms with the fact that I cannot have a flat belly 365 days a year. It is not possible, I will eat, I will put water in my body, it will bloat. Mere bas woh issues hai (I have only these issues) and sometimes, I can't deal with them. I end up crying, I have meltdowns."
This is why we need to have a kinder, more realistic approach to our own fitness. Going hungry as a means of punishing your body is going to get us nowhere in this journey.

You want to look cool? Start with a leather jacket.

The natural immunity of a trend is low. But not leather jackets. They are timeless.
It is probably the most stylish beast in your winter wardrobe. But between its high price point, extra terms and conditions and stud-like persona, the conversation gets lost.

    via GIPHY
Leather makes for a bold sartorial statement. And if you’re up for the challenge, invest in a good quality leather jacket, understand some do’s and don’ts of wearing it and you’ll look no less than an OTT star.

Don’t Wear Brown With BlackBrown with black is an obvious pairing but think of your leather jacket as the star of the look. The full focus should be on the jacket. No other power moves are needed.
Brown is one of the most natural and popular colours for a leather jacket. Avoid creating a colour clash by wearing black boots or trousers with it. Either pair your brown leather jacket with similar tones or with lighter ones.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2994__
Don’t Be Put Off By Faux LeatherMany will advise you to avoid synthetic leather as it starts peeling off after some time but genuine leather is not an option for everyone. So don’t rule out the idea of faux leather altogether. Vegan leather is a great alternative. It’s budget-friendly and can still get you the aesthetics you’re after.

Don’t Machine Wash ItIf or when your leather jacket gets dirty, first try spot-treating the stain. Most jackets come with a “care label” from the manufacturer that has specific instructions on how to clean a leather jacket.
Washing genuine leather in the machine can be damaging. Minor stains aren’t difficult to clean but for bigger ones, you may need to use special leather cleaning products.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2996__
Do Pay Attention To The FitNot every jacket you try will fit you like a glove. But that fit is the difference between Salman Khan in the 90s and Tiger Shroff today.
A leather jacket is something you wear to flaunt your style, it has less to do with comfort. You wouldn’t feel as confident in a loose leather jacket, so go after the fit even if it means visiting a retail store or making a few returns after an online purchase.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2997__
Don’t Leave it WetYou can wear your leather jacket in the rain and snow but you cannot leave it wet afterwards. Leather is a highly porous material with a lot of small holes. These holes constantly absorb moisture from the environment.
It is beneficial as this process protects the leather from drying out but excessive moisture over a long period can damage the leather. To protect your jacket in the long run, dry it off before putting it back in the wardrobe.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2998__
Do Condition itProbably the single most important step when maintaining a leather jacket. Leather requires regular conditioning to stay soft and supple. Conditioning it with saddle soap can protect the leather from common damages.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2999__
Don’t Go Overboard With The DetailsUnless you’re going for a bike ride, don’t go heavy on zippers, padding and other details. Keep it classy and simple. Avoid over accessorising. When the fabric is as vintage and valuable as leather, basics are more important.

The BottomlineLeather is one of the most stylish fabrics when handled tastefully. Layer it well and it will become your favourite piece of winter clothing.

Hello, hello! Look who we have here—the master chiller. You’ve been quite busy, we hear.

So you’ve finally found the time and space to set up a home bar. You’ve even collected some expensive and smoothest single malts. They’re placed right next to your impressive collection of wine bottles.
While these are very important steps to curating a home bar, you’ll need more bar tools to become a pro cocktail maker. It’s an intimidating task, but not as expensive as you might think.
Just follow our lead as we tell you everything there is to learn about essential bar tools.
    1. A Bar KeyBar keys are flat and compact bottle openers that can fit in your back pocket. It has two ends—the circular end is mainly for attaching the bar key to a keychain but a professional bartender can use it as an opener too. The other end is your traditional bottle opener.

    2. JiggerA jigger is dual-sided and acts as a cocktail measuring cup. It allows you to stay consistent with the liquor while crafting cocktails and avoid over-pouring. They have different capacities on each end, ranging from 15 ml to 75 ml.

    3. Bar Spoon © iStock
At first glance, a bar spoon appears to be simple and long-handled, mostly used by bartenders for mixing and layering but it has plenty of secrets.

Ever wondered why bar spoons are so long or have a flat end but a spiralled handle? These attributes are essential in helping you create perfectly layered shots and cocktails.
The three evolutions on a bar spoonThe SucketA bar spoon that comes with a fork on one end and a spoon on the other is named the sucket. They’re often used to serve fruit cocktails—spoon at one end is to stir the drink and fork at the other is to pick olives, berries or other fruits.
The MazagranThe spoon comes with a measure at one end and a muddler at the other and is suitable for drinks with more crushable ingredients. It was used in France to break medicines into dissolvable powder.
The Modern Bar SpoonThey don’t come with a fork and usually have a sleek and minimalist design.
Three main categories of bar spoonsEuropean bar spoonEuropean bar spoons are practical. They can be differentiated by their flat disc end. The flat end can be used for layering, blending and crushing softer ingredients like sugar cubes. However, they are no match for a muddler.

American bar spoonAn American bar spoon does everything you’d expect a spoon to do and are inexpensive. They can be recognised by a rubber cap covering the end.
Japanese bar spoonJapanese bar spoons are the most eye-catching ones. These spoons are longer than their western competition and can measure up to 40 cm. The teardrop shape at the end of these spoons adds more weight for a better centre of gravity when stirring a drink.
    4. Cocktail Shaker  © iStock
This is the fun part! Especially for the people who are fascinated by flair bartending. A cocktail shaker allows you to quickly and thoroughly mix ingredients while chilling the drink at the same time.

Types of cocktail shakersBoston The Boston shaker is more popular amongst bartenders and true cocktail apprentices as it’s easy and quick to use. It consists of a shaking metal tin and a mixing glass tin. You need to be careful with your grip while using a Boston shaker.
Cobbler The traditional cobbler shaker has a sleek design and is a go-to shaker for beginners. It consists of three parts: a metal tin, a cap and a built-in strainer. With a cobbler shaker, you don’t need a jigger to measure the spirit as the cap is usually 30 ml.

French/ParisianParisian/French-style shakers are hard to find as it has recently gained more popularity. The Parisian is beautiful to look at and is in between the Boston and Cobbler shaker. It has a shape of a Cobbler but doesn’t have the built-in strainer, like the Boston.
    5. Wine Accessory SetWine needs a different set for handling. Accessories like wine glasses, wine pourers, corkscrews and wine racks come in handy when it’s time to store and serve a fine bottle of this elixir.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2988__
    6. Ice BucketSure, you’re active enough to get up and take the ice out from your freezer every time you make a drink but what happens when your friends come over? Do you get up over and over again or just enjoy a drink like you’re supposed to?
Ice buckets are stylish and long-lasting. They add a rich, retro touch to your gathering and who doesn’t love that.
Most ice buckets are made of stainless steel to avoid condensation of the ice. All in all, it’s a quality product when it comes to preserving and serving ice.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2989__
    7. MuddlerA muddler is a 6-8 inches long, thick stick that is used to smash and mix the ingredients like fruits, flowers, spices and leaves into a drink. Bartenders believe it’s the best bar tool for infusing flavours in a cocktail.
Muddlers muddle the ingredients in just the right amount, neither the flavours are too overpowering nor too weak to taste.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2990__
Types of muddlers Wood MuddlersWood muddlers come in two basic shapes: one looks like a mini baseball bat with a flat bottom and the other is straight. They’re quick and durable. However, they require a little extra care. They need to be cleaned with water and wiped immediately.
Plastic & Steel Muddler  The design of plastic or steel muddlers is similar to the wooden ones. The material is thinner and easy to grasp. They come with a teeth-y texture at the bottom, which allows them to mash the ingredients more efficiently.
Plastic and steel muddlers are easier to clean and manage as compared to wooden muddlers.

People often skip this bar tool thinking it’s not the important one but here’s the catch. If you truly admire the art of mixology, you need a mixing glass in your home bar.

Using a mixing glass to stir a cocktail instead of shaking allows your drink to have a better texture and viscosity while controlling the amount of dilution.
    9. Strainer © iStock
In simple words, a cocktail strainer aka bar strainer is a tool used to remove the chunky pieces like ice, fruits, herbs etc. from the drink. It’s typically used after a drink has been shaken or stirred.

Types of cocktail strainersHawthorne StrainerThe Hawthorne strainer is a flat piece of metal lined with a flexible spring that catches the solids. It’s widely used in the bars as a Hawthorne strainer is inexpensive and easy to adapt. The drawbacks of using the Hawthorne strainer are that they’re difficult to clean and can be damaged easily.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2992__
Julep StrainerJulep strainers are bowl-shaped. The cup area is perforated with small holes. They’re very easy to hold and handle. No issues with cleaning as well. Julep strainers might slow you down though if your hands are busy making a drink after drink.
Fine Mesh StrainerEven after using a Hawthorne or a Julep strainer, if you need help with filtering the finer particles in a drink, a fine mesh strainer will come in handy. It’s very similar to the strainer most of use at home. You might want to consider a stainless steel strainer instead of a plastic variety often used to strain hot tea.
    10. Bar Knife © iStock
Much like a chef, professional or amateur bartenders too need a good knife. A small, sharp, well-honed blade is crucial when creating attractive garnishes out of herbs, flowers and zesty fruits. It’s more of a one-time investment. So make sure, you get yourself a good quality knife and keep it separate from your kitchen’s knife collection.

    11. Bar Towels © iStock
Bar towels are thick and highly absorbent. You mainly need them for cleaning the wet bar tools and glasses and surface after making or having a drink. You can get three different types of cleaners here.

Bar mops: Super-absorbent, soft and highly durable. Typically made of cotton or terry cloth.
Maxi-mop: Heavy-duty and constructed with a stronger weave to reduce lint.
Micro-fibre mops: A blend of polyester, nylon or polyimide fibres. Are super absorbent and provide four times better cleaning than traditional towels.

    12. Ice Cube Mold © iStock
The concept of ice is simple, right? Freeze it, use it. But you have no idea what better ice can do to your glass of whisky or cocktails. Small ice cubes in your plastic tray can melt very quickly into your drink, diluting it more than you were expecting in no time.

Opt for a silicone ice tray that can meet your drinking needs. The one that can give you clear sphere-shaped ice or big cube as they melt slowly. You can use whisky stones for a neat drink but for cocktails, you’ll need ice.
    13. Cocktail Recipes © iStock
If you get excited at the thought of making cocktails, you probably are a pro at the basic mojito, margarita, sangria or whiskey sour. But what do you do on the days you want to expand your knowledge of mixology? Perhaps, you Google? Spontaneity is fantastic but what are your thoughts on culling out the best cocktail recipes in advance and making them in peace?

    Give it a thought.
    14. Cocktail MixersOn some days, you love to play a bartender but on the others, you just want to relax and a cocktail should be placed in your hand stat. We understand the mood.

Get a few cocktails mixers for your home bar and use them on gloomy days like these! You will not regret it, we promise.
    15. Garnishes © iStock
So cocktails are done, what do we do now? We decorate it. Seems unnecessary but hear me out. There’s a reason cupcakes are more expensive than muffins. Presentation = marketing.

Garnishing is an art that adds aroma, flavours and a visual appeal to a drink.
Everything from a delicate spray of citrus oils to olives on a stick submerging in a tiny pool of gin and vermouth, add to your drinking experience.
These finishing touches can be of fruits, flowers, spices, leaves, food or objects depending on the vibe of your cocktail.
    16. Decanters © iStock
In a home setting, a glass vessel that is used to serve drinks in individual glasses is called a decanter. Its purpose is to elevate the flavours of your drink, be it wine or whisky.

Wines or whiskies need to interact with the oxygen in the air for a few minutes for the tannins to mellow out.
This aeration process is even more important for vintage spirits and wines as they’ve been cooped up in their bottle for too long. Remember that younger drinks can be aerated in a minute or two but spirits over 15 years need 20-30 minutes.
To decant or not to decantTo make sure if your alcohol needs decanting or not and to test if you’re doing it right, pour yourself a few sips and evaluate the taste at different stages. If you feel the flavours become more pronounced with time, you’ll have your answer.

Trays are great but trolleys are better. You can keep all your bar essentials on a trolley and take the part to your rooftop. Most home bar serving trolleys are easy to store as they take up less space. They’re not as essential as the other tools but they do serve a great purpose when it comes to flaunting panache.

FAQsWhat are the types of bars?Wine or liquor bar, cocktail bar, beer bar, public bar, lounge bar, sports bar, night club bar, dive bar and cabaret bar are the most popular types you should visit at least once to discover your favourite.

COVID-19. Delta. Omicron. IHU. Wherever you are in the world, over the past couple of years, these words have brought negativity to you. Directly or through a closed one.

Between fighting for a hospital bed while a parent was gasping for breath and standing in queues for the COVID-19 vaccine, this pandemic has proven that safety and health are not a choice.
So we cannot give up our masks just yet. What we can do is wear masks with more ease and comfort. Here are some common face mask problems people face and their solutions.
If Your Glasses Get Foggy © iStock
The combination of masks and glasses has become risky for people. You can’t drive, walk or read properly with a sheet of fog on your numbered glasses. Here are a few things you can do to de-fog your glasses.

    1. De-Fog SolutionYou can use an anti-fog solution. It’s dependable and provides a long-lasting clear vision for masks that can last for up to 6 hours. The efficiency of a De-Fog solution can vary with the humidity in the environment but it can help block moisture from reaching your glasses.
    2. Soapy WaterDoctors recommend washing your glasses with soapy water. Shake off the excess and let them air dry before putting them on. Unlike tap water, soapy water leaves behind a thin layer that after drying helps condensation to spread evenly into a transparent layer and prevent misting.

How To Clean Your Face MaskReusable MasksConsider your face to be as sensitive and important as your genitals. Much like you wouldn’t consider repeating dirty underwear, do not wear a reusable mask without washing it after every use.
Do not touch your face while taking off your mask. Make sure you don’t mix it with your other clothes. You can hand wash or machine wash your mask depending on the fabric but hot water and detergent are the keys here.
N95 MasksIdeally, you should throw away surgical or N95 masks after a single use and not try to clean and reuse them. The disinfection of the N95 mask isn’t something you should try to do by yourself as it requires proper equipment and facilities.
But if the need to sterilize a phone, earphones and other regular use items, go for a UV steriliser.
