    After the release of Ranveer Singh's 83, several big films were all set to hit the theaters. However, the latest spike in COVID-19 cases and the new variant (Omicron) of the deadly virus has once again played spoilsport. The makers of various biggies have decided to indefinitely postpone the release dates due to the imposed restrictions in various states across the country.
    Shahid Kapoor-starrer Jersey was the first big film whose release date was postponed after the disappointing performance of Kabir Khan's 83. This news left fans disappointed. However, it was just the beginning of another dull phase for the moviegoers as other announcements too followed the suit.

    The official Hindi remake of Nani's Jersey (Telugu), the film featuring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur was slated to hit the silver screens on December 31. However, at the last moment, the makers decided to cancel the release in the wake of rising coronavirus cases. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the story revolves around a talented but failed cricketer (played by Shahid) who attempts a comeback to fulfill his son's wish. Its trailer and songs have been receiving a positive response and fans were eagerly waiting for the release of this sports drama. Seems like they have to wait a little longer.

    Directed by Baahubali helmer SS Rajamouli, RRR was all set to release on January 7 but the makers dropped the idea because of the current situation in the country. Due to this delay, the filmmakers land up incurring huge losses as the movie has been mounted on a large scale. Also, around Rs 18-20 crore have been already wasted in the promotions. Starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in lead roles, the period action drama is a fictional story of the Indian freedom fighters named Komaram Bheem (Rama Rao) and Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan).     Yash Raj Films' magnum opus Prithviraj, featuring Akshay Kumar in the titular role, was scheduled to release on January 21. Now, the film has been postponed and the makers are yet to announce a new date.     Uday Chopra broke on to the scene in the 2000 film Mohabbatein, playing the role of a school/college student alongside Jimmy Shergill and Jugal Hansraj.

    The movie, which starred superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, became an instant hit, meaning it was probably the perfect start for Uday.

    Later on, it was reported that Uday, despite being the son of legendary Bollywood filmmaker Yash Chopra, decided to take a break from acting altogether.
    However, something that will completely blow your mind is the fact that Uday, despite having not worked in films for quite some time in Bollywood, has stacked up quite a net worth of his own.

    According to reports, Uday now plies his trade by overseeing the business of Yash Raj Films along with his brother Aditya Chopra.

    Not just that, the actor is also reported to have his own company called 'Yomix', which apparently is famous for creating comic books based on the famous movies directed by his father, the late Yash Chopra.
    Honestly, it's such good news to hear that Uday is doing well for himself.
    More than that, personally, I think he had a lot more to offer in films. I mean, you only have to look at his roles in the Dhoom series. Everyone absolutely loved him as Ali.
    Now, with OTT platforms picking up older actors to star in newer projects, it would actually be a good idea if Uday could start acting again.
    In all fairness, he never really looked like a bad actor, and given the new format of films and television, might do well in the acting business.
    On the personal front, Uday was last heard dating actress Nargis Fakri, before they ended up splitting.

    Ranked ninth in the world in the longest format, Bangladesh humbled the inaugural world Test champions by eight wickets on the final day of the Test match at Mount Maunganui to register a historic win.
    Bangladesh have been playing cricket for a long time but they had never won a match on New Zealand soil across all three formats. 
    Prior to this game, they had lost 32 matches on the trot in the picturesque nation.

    Ramayana maker Ramanand Sagar's great-granddaughter Sakshi Chopra has been in the headlines for her bold avatar and her choice of outfits. Her Instagram is filled with pictures that represent her bold style and she doesn’t shy away flaunting her curves. She is comfortable in her own skin and her Instagram is proof of it.  
    Sakshi is the daughter of TV producer Meenakshi Sagar. She reportedly completed her academics from the Trinity School of London and later went to The Lee Strasberg Theater & Film Institute in California, USA to study filmmaking. Her Instagram bio reads, "Singer I Songwriter I Method Actor."

They want to control all the women in the community. I don’t believe in Islam because of this. The reason why they troll me is because I don’t behave the way they expect me to as per their religion.”

    Sidnaaz fans were in deep shock when they came to know about the tragic demise of Sidharth Shukla. 
    The actor died of a heart attack in September last year at the young age of 40. 
    While his friends and family were mourning his death, fans were concerned about Shehnaaz Gill, who he had met exactly two years before on the reality show Bigg Boss. 
    The duo developed an instant friendship and a bond on the show and was lovingly called 'Sidnaaz' by fans.

    After his death, Shehnaaz was not seen on shoots, interviews and social media for at least a month which worried fans further. 

    She finally resumed work a month after to promote her film. 
    It was definitely hard for her to cope with the loss of a dear friend. However, much to fans’ relief, she is now moving on and healing with time.

    She recently spoke to spiritual guru BK Shivani about life, meditation and god and shared the interaction on her YouTube channel with the title ‘Reset & Restart’.

    She said she had a hard time coming to terms with his death and felt helpless. She even found herself blaming god but later pulled herself up. 

    She said, “Kayi log sochte hain, nahi ab nahi mujhe rehna. Ab to main marr hi jau to accha hai, logon ki wording hai ye. Matlab meri bhi thi ki humein to ab nahi rehna chahiye, humein to aisa karna chahiye. Ab main kya karungi.”

    Talking about dealing with the loss of a loved one, she said that the thought of not living anymore crossed her mind but then she convinced herself that she has a journey of her own that she has to live. S

    he also addressed that losing someone is a part of life and being sad and depressed for too long is unhealthy and doesn’t help. Instead, we should remember them fondly and reminisce about happy memories.

    Remembering Sidharth Shukla and overcoming the pain, Shehnaaz said, “We keep crying and damage our health. It is of no use. Our journey has not ended. His journey has completed. His clothes have changed and he might have come back now. The face has changed, but he is there. Wo kisi na kisike roop me aa chuke hain. My account with him has ended but it will continue… I always think like that. We see in movies that when there is negativity, the story will continue to a happy ending. I will also have a happy ending sometime or the other.”

    In the end, she also said she is thankful that Sidharth came into her life because he taught her a lot in a matter of two years. She said, “I was very trusting and innocent before but ‘that soul’ taught me a lot in life.” adding that she is much stronger now.
