Sushant Singh Rajput’s 2019 hit Chhichhore, which incidentally was also his last theatrical release before his untimely demise in 2020, is all set to release in China, next month.
The college-based social comedy is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
The movie released in India on September 6, 2019, starred Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saharsh Kumar Shukla, Naveen Polishetty, Tushar Pandey, and Prateik Babbar among others.

Sharing the news of Chhichhore’s China release, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “'CHHICHHORE' TO RELEASE IN CHINA... #Chhichhore - the film that won hearts and #BO - will release in #China on 7 Jan 2022... Made on a reported budget of Rs 50 crore, the movie earned over Rs 150 crore at the domestic box office and over Rs 200 crore at the worldwide box office.
Now, with the China release, its overseas box office is expected to reach dizzying heights.
China is one of the biggest markets for films and we saw with the Aamir Khan starrer Dangal the potential that its box office holds.

While Dangal is still the biggest Indian success in China, it is another Aamir Khan film that has taken the second spot - Secret Superstar.

Dangal collected an unthinkable Rs 1300 crore approx whereas Secret Superstar made Rs 750 crore approx in China. Other Indian films that have been a big success in China include PK, AndhaDhun, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Hindi Medium and Hichki.

On the other hand, there have been other Indian films that failed to make a mark at the China box office like Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, 2.0, Padman and Sultan.
One thing common between all the films that have been a success in China is that they all are well-made social dramas that have also connected with the Chinese audiences in a big way. Chhichhore too, falls in the same category.
Moreover, 3 Idiots was one of the first Indian films to work well in China, especially on home video. Chhichhore too has the vibe similar to 3 idiots.

Chhichhore has the potential to be in at least top five Indian films in terms of box office in China.

Whether it will actually be able to challenge Dangal’s China’s box office, we’ll know by January 7, 2022.

There is a saying that implies, ‘your reputation precedes you’ and if that were to be used in case of Indians, at the risk of sounding harsh and embarrassed, I’d say that one apt umbrella to put Indians under would be...‘horny’.
Technically, that would be true for most men and (surprisingly) women as well, but as far as Indians are concerned, we are known to be a pretty sexually driven breed, considering we’re from the land of the Kamasutra and all.
However, things might have changed now, all thanks to the ban on porn sites by the government.

In a recent annual report that was released by one of the most infamous porn websites - PornHub revealed the names of top 20 nations from where the most traffic on the website comes. And much to our surprise, India didn’t make it to the top 20.

In fact topping the charts was the USA and following in its footsteps was the UK which had even surpassed Japan in its ranking this year. Meanwhile, India was nowhere to be seen in the top 20 and we wonder whether that is a good sign or a bad one.
    © Twitter
Our speculation is that ever since porn was banned in the country in 2018, Indians’ contribution towards porn websites has significantly dropped. Even back in 2019, India came on the 15th position and now apparently, it has dropped further down.

    © Twitter
However, one aspect where it still hasn’t shown a decline, is in demand. Apparently, ‘Indian’ still remains as one of the most top searched categories on the website, especially in the UK which seems to have been spending an awful lot of time lurking on these websites.

On an average, people in the UK spent almost 9 minutes 52 secs on the site per visit, and 'lesbian' was the most searched for term, ahead of 'MILF' in second and ‘hentai’ in third.

Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli has dropped a bombshell on BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, refuting all his claims that he had “personally requested” the 33-year-old cricketer to not give up T20I leadership.
In a fiery press conference before leaving for South Africa, Kohli batted on the front and cleared the air around various media reports that were constantly trying to portray him in bad light. He even clarified that he never requested the Indian cricket board for a break from the upcoming ODI series against the Proteas next month.
Sourav Ganguly - I personally requested Virat Kohli to not step down from T20i captaincy.

Virat Kohli - I wasn't told to not leave the T20i captaincy.

    - Very poor from the BCCI and the president.
    — Mufaddal Vohra (@mufaddal_vohra) December 15, 2021However, the biggest takeaway from his explosive press-conference was him calling out Ganguly’s lies about why he was removed from the ODI captaincy. Kohli said that there was no prior communication either from the selectors or the BCCI office-bearers and added that he received a phone call only 1.5 hours prior to the selection committee meeting and they primarily discussed the Test squad.
It was only when they were about to hang up the call that he was informed that the selection panel had decided to take away the 50-over captaincy from him. There was no prior communication either from the selectors or the BCCI office-bearers.

“I was contacted 1.5 hours before the selection meeting on the eighth [December] for the Test series. There was no prior communication to me at all since I announced the T20I captaincy decision until the 8th of December, where I got a call before the selection meeting. The chief selector discussed with me the Test team, to which we both agreed. And before ending the call, I was told the five selectors have decided I will not be the ODI captain, to which I replied, 'okay, fine’,” Kohli said the press conference.

“When I approached BCCI about the T20 captaincy, it was received well by them and I was not told not to leave the T20 captaincy,” he added, calling out Ganguly’s lies out in the open.
What Ganguly Had SaidThis is getting serious between virat kohli and dada
    Both have opposite words
Definitely not a good sign for indian cricket.#BCCI pic.twitter.com/9owZ3jnnBC
    — Frozen (@ein_scofield) December 15, 2021
“It's like I said… I personally requested him (Kohli) not to give up the T20I captaincy. Obviously, he felt the workload. Which is fine, he has been a great cricketer, he has been very intense with his cricket. He has captained for a long period of time and these things happen. Because I have captained for a long period of time; therefore, I know,” Ganguly had told News 18 after Rohit was awarded the ODI captaincy.
Unhappy with the BCCI’s mishandling of this whole situation, the fans were questioning the BCCI hierarchy and blaming Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah for the apparent mess they have created behind the scenes. But Kohli’s comments have sparked these negative sentiments even more and people are now raging at the lack of transparency from the BCCI high-command.
Bodied Ganguly. Never thought that a former cricketer would do that. When dada said, he begged virat not to step down, he questioned rohit sharma's self worth also. That's not how you deal with champion players.
    — Siddhi (@_LoyalKohliFan) December 15, 2021I had always respect for dada...but this time he is also playing politics
    — TANNY (@TanmoyG29760931) December 15, 2021Ganguly seriously lied about "begging to Kohli", what will we even expect about the team's environment and transparency if people like him are holding powers in BCCI :)
    — S´ˎ˗ | Captain Kohli (@Kohlian_luvlush) December 15, 2021Shame on Ganguly.

    All these gangs removed him
    — Diwakar¹⁸ (@diwakarkumar47) December 15, 2021too much politics happening.
Didn't expect this things from Ganguly
    — 𝐅 ♛ (@Lazzy_lad) December 15, 2021All the respect for dada gone
    — Sagar kumar (@sagarkundu1212) December 15, 2021People are stunned that all this has happened during the tenure of an administrator like Ganguly who had an illustrious career as an international cricketer and was expected to clean the image of the BCCI but has failed miserably.
