Almost every celebrity loves to invest in properties and seems like the pandemic hasn't affected the entertainment industry that much. This year, many Bollywood stars have bought expensive houses in different places amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. While for some, it was their first investment in property, for others it was an addition to the long list of their swanky homes.Β
Ajay Devgn, Arjun Kapoor, and Kangana Ranaut bought some costly properties while Kriti Sanon and newlyweds Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif chose to rent luxurious flats.Β Β
Celebs who bought lavish homes in 2021Β  Below, check out the list of celebrities who bought expensive homes in 2021.Β Β

The Bol Bachchan star reportedly bought the property for around 60 crore. The locality also has residences of other Bollywood stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, and Hrithik Roshan.
Kangana Ranaut View this post on Instagram

Arjun Kapoor View this post on Instagram
The actor, who completed a decade in Bollywood earlier this year, marked the occasion by gifting himself an expensive 4 bedroom-hall-kitchen sky-villa in one of Bandra's posh locales in Mumbai. The actor reportedly bought the flat, which is located near his girlfriend Malaika Arora's house, for a price of Rs 20 crore.Β

The two alpha-males of Indian cricket not looking each other in the eye. Stories like these have made headlines since time immemorial in Indian cricket.
In the 80s, it was Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev and in the 90s it was Mohammed Azharuddin and Navjot Singh Siddhu. In the last decade, the focus shifted to Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni and in recent years it’s Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
    Β© Reuters
A few of these stories did have some truth but the majority of them were nothing but fantasy. No matter how deep we go in the history books, there is no end to such cooked up stories.

Kohli and Rohit are two pillars of Indian cricket and have contributed immensely in helping Team India scale new heights. But sadly some people just can’t digest that, all they want is to convince people that something's not right between them.
    Β© Reuters
Kohli, on multiple occasions, has reiterated that there is nothing wrong between him and Rohit and they both are fully committed to serving Indian cricket for as long as possible. Before leaving for South Africa, the Indian Test skipper once again rubbished all reports of any rifts between him and Rohit and said thatΒ  he was β€œtired” of repeating the same thing again and again.

    Β© Reuters
Maybe Kohli should change the way he handles such questions during a press conference. Perhaps take a lesson from the great MS Dhoni, who also came across similar questions about possible rifts on various occasions throughout his career.

After Kohli’s recent press conference, an old video of Dhoni shutting down a scribe for asking about an alleged fight between Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan with an iconic response started doing rounds on social media.
This is how dhoni answered when someone asked is there a rift between Dhawan and kohli

Next time when someone asks kohli about Rohit , he should answer like this #viratkholi pic.twitter.com/dBuoji6jqu
    β€” Sandy (@Scrummaaster) December 15, 2021
During India’s tour of Australia back in 2014, there were rumours that Kohli and Dhawan were involved in a fight in the dressing room and things became so worse that they both had to be separated from each other by the then-team director Ravi Shastri.

Instead of getting angry over the stupid question, the wicketkeeper-batter gave a rather sarcastic answer and agreed that indeed was the case and said: β€œActually that was the case. Virat used a knife. He stabbed Shikhar, who just recovered out of that, then we pushed him to bat.”
    Β© Reuters
Listening to Dhoni’s response, the whole room burst out laughing and they got the point he was trying to make.

β€œThese are all stories. Marvel, maybe Warner Bros or somebody should pick up this and make a nice movie out of it.
β€œIf somebody from the team has actually told you this, it’d be interesting if you could give us the name. Because his imagination is really brilliant and he should be working for one of the movie companies.Β
    Β© Reuters
β€œHe doesn’t deserve to be in our dressing room, because he has entirely created something that has not been there at all. Stuff like that makes good stories for the tabloid and maybe it helps them sell it. As far as the reality is concerned, there’s been nothing like that,” he added.Β

Perhaps next time when someone asks Kohli if there is any rift between him and his Test deputy, he should also come up with an answer like this. That would be fun to watch. Wouldn’t it?

Virat Kohli’s press conference on Wednesday has created a huge controversy in Indian cricket, putting him and the BCCI president Sourav Ganguly at loggerheads.
While responding to why Kohli was removed from the ODI captaincy despite his stellar record, Ganguly had claimed that the selector didn’t want to have two different captains in the limited-overs cricket. He had also claimed that he had β€œpersonally requested” Kohli not to step down from the T20I job in September.

Definitely not a good sign for indian cricket.#BCCI pic.twitter.com/9owZ3jnnBC
    β€” Frozen (@ein_scofield) December 15, 2021
However, Kohli refuted having any such conversation with the former India skipper and said that there was no prior communication from the BCCI office bearers or the selectors with regards to the change in ODI captaincy.
The Delhi cricketer even claimed that the first time he was informed that his services as ODI skipper would no longer be required was one-and-a-half hours before the selection committee meeting.
    Β© Twitter BCCI
As per Kohli’s, the chief selector Chetan Sharma had called primarily to discuss with him the Test squad for the South Africa tour and before hanging up the call he was informed that all five selectors had decided that he would not be leading the side in the ODIs anymore.

This contradictory statement from the Indian Test skipper has raised many eyebrows and everyone is trying to fathom how Ganguly, who is such an important figure in Indian cricket, can make such a false claim, on not one but multiple occasions.
    Β© Twitter BCCI
Kohli’s comments have sent shockwaves in the entire Indian cricket community and if reports are to be believed even the BCCI officials are unhappy with the Indian red-ball skipper after his explosive press conference.

#NewsAlert | BCCI Vs Virat Kohli: #BCCI now claims that the decision on captaincy was a collective decision and #ViratKohli was kept in the loop. Kohli says that there was no communication from BCCI regarding his captaincy change.

    β€” TIMES NOW (@TimesNow) December 16, 2021
According to a report in Times Now, despite Kohli directly contradicting Ganguly, the BCCI still maintains that it was a β€˜collective decision’ and they had kept the former ODI skipper in the loop from the very beginning.
β€œA change in captaincy is not a small decision and Virat Kohli was kept in loop before the decision was made,” Times Now reported, quoting BCCI sources.
    Β© Twitter BCCI
After creating a massive uproar, Kohli and his boys have embarked on a new challenge and it would be interesting to see how things pan out in the coming days here in India. Whether the BCCI top brass tries to play down this whole issue by discarding it as a mere misunderstanding or Ganguly & Co. escalate things even more.

Whatever the case may be, we just hope that it doesn’t affect the team’s performance in South Africa.

The Indian Cricket Team is going through a bit of turmoil at the moment after Virat Kohli was sacked as the captainΒ of the Indian cricket team in ODIs and Rohit Sharma was crowned as the new skipper.
Following this transition of power, the second biggest development occurred during Kohli’s notorious press conferenceΒ just before leaving for South Africa for a Test and ODI series. In front of several media members and eventually, in front of the entire Indian cricket fandom that’s available on social media, Kohli directly contradicted the BCCI President Sourav Ganguly while practically calling him a liar.

Definitely not a good sign for indian cricket.#BCCI pic.twitter.com/9owZ3jnnBC
    β€” Frozen (@ein_scofield) December 15, 2021
During the online presser, Kohli said that when he presented his desire to give up the T20I captaincy earlier this year, his decision was welcomed by the Indian cricket board and not a single person said anything against it.
The problem is that merely days before Kohli’s conference, Ganguly had admitted that he’d made a β€œpersonal request” to Kohli remain the leader in the shortest format of the game but because he was feeling too overwhelmed with responsibilities and wanted to manage his workload better, he decided to go ahead with it anyway.

Clearly, such completely opposite statements by two of the most important people in the action plan of Indian cricket send a not-so-good message to the rest of the world. While others are simply wondering why and how did things get so out of hand within the BCCI so much and so quickly, Pakistani fans managed to take responsibility for the disruption.
According to them, the reason for all the commotion within the Indian cricket board comes from the loss they took against Pakistan in the first round of the T20 World Cup 2021 and that the 10-wicket loss had a lasting and scarring impact on the Men in Blue:
India lose one game to Pakistan and all hell breaks loose. Captain gets sacked, players β€˜pull out’ of tours’, conflicting statements and so much more. That 152-0 loss has had a huge impact on Indian cricket it seems! #BCCI

After a disappointing level of attendance by the spectators in the stadium during the first and second T20Is against the West Indies in Karachi, the PCB has decided to allow free entry into the stadium for the ODI series. However, as the number of COVID-19 cases rise within the Windies squad, the chances of a complete disruption of the series is also on the board.

A fan asked Ranbir, β€œWhen will you marry Alia or someone else?” and to which, Ranbir said, β€œWell, haven’t we seen a lot of people getting married in the last one year? I think we should be happy with that. Humari kab hogi (When will ours happen)?” Alia also dodged the question and Ranbir pointed out to Ayan and asked about the release date ofΒ  his moviesΒ
At the event, Ranbir also asked Alia about her relationship with the letter β€˜R.’ β€œWhy do people keep asking you about your relationship with β€˜R’? Ranbir asked. Before Emraan Hashmi turned β€œSerial Kisser” and played a major role in normalising kissing scenes in Hindi films, there was a time when such scenes were considered taboo for Indian cinema.Β

In fact, kissing scenes were a rarity in mainstream films even in the β€˜90s.Β
Those who grew up watching cinema of the '70s, β€˜80s and β€˜90s would know that kissing scenes were often insinuated by two flowers on the big screen.Β
    Β© Tips Films Pvt Ltd
However, in 1996, Karishma Kapoor and Aamir Khan made headlines when they filmed a kissing scene for their film Raja Hindustani.Β

Considered as one of the longest kissing scenes in Bollywood, the sequence, as it turns out, was β€œgruelling” to shoot.Β
Last year, in an interview with Rajeev Masand, Karishma Kapoor had opened up about her infamous kissing scene with Aamir Khan.Β
While talking about shooting in tough situations, she said, β€œWe have been through gruelling circumstances. People say, β€˜oh, that kiss’ and all, but what we have gone through that shoot for three days… In Ooty, in February… we were like, kab khatam ho raha hai yeh kiss scene (when is this kiss scene getting over)!”
    Β© Tips Films Pvt Ltd
Further talking about how they shot the scene in extreme weather conditions, Karishma added, β€œIt was freezing cold with storm fans and freezing cold water. We have worked in those circumstances from 7 till 6 in the evening, shivering away between takes. So that was a different era of, I think, working in those kinds of circumstances.”

Watch Karishma Kapoor talking about it below:Β
Directed by Dharmesh Darshan, Raja Hindustani is a love story between a rich girl and a poor taxi driver from a small town. The songs of the film are highly popular even today and the film was a huge blockbuster at the box office upon its release.Β
    Watch the scene here:Β
The scene occurs in the film at a time when the two characters are stuck in a storm and share a kiss in a moment of passion. Later, they realise that they have fallen in love with each other and marry despite the apprehension of her parents.
