Over the years, there have been several Indian actors making a name for themselves in the west by featuring in some of the most popular Hollywood films and receiving acclaim for them.
However, none could achieve the kind of global success that Priyanka Chopra did in Hollywood in just a few years.
The actress who broke into Hollywood by headlining her own TV show in Quantico, later worked with popular stars like Dwayne Johnson in Baywatch, Jim Parsons in A Kid Like Jake and Pedro Pascal in We Can Be Heroes.

She will next be seen in the fourth instalment of The Matrix franchise titled The Matrix Resurrections. Besides, she has been a highly successful actress in India for almost two decades.

However, despite all her achievements, it seems Hollywood media still sees her as “the wife of Nick Jonas”.
Recently, Priyanka took her Instagram stories and shared screenshots of two media reports where she was referenced as the better half of Nick Jonas.

Reacting strongly to the reports, she wrote in her story, “Very interesting that I’m promoting one of the most iconic film franchises of all time, and I’m still referenced as ‘the wife of…”

She further asked for an explanation and if she should add her IMDb link to her Instagram bio to educate people that there is more to her as a professional than just being Nick Jonas’ wife. She wrote, “Please explain how this still happens to women? Should I add my IMDB link to my bio?” She also tagged Nick Jonas in her story.

The actress will be seen playing the character of Sati, who was first introduced as a kid in what was supposed to be the final film in the franchise, The Matrix Revolutions (2003).

While the first three films were directed by The Wachowskis, the fourth film is only helmed by one-half of the duo, Lana Wachowski.

Starring Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, The Matrix Resurrections is slated to release in India on December 22.

The movie is also releasing on HBO Max in the US.

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has finally replied to Virat Kohli's highly notorious press conference, in which the Delhi-born spoke about his dismissal as ODI skipper and refuted Ganguly's remarks around the whole issue.
Kohli was fired as ODI captain earlier this month, and Ganguly said the next day that the BCCI had requested and made a “personal request” to Kohli about not resigning as T20I captain back in September and that the selectors were forced to remove him from the 50-overs position because they wanted a single captain for all white-ball forms.

However, while answering the questions of the media members during the virtual conference on Wednesday, Kohli went completely against what Ganguly had told the media members just a few hours before hopping on a plane and flying off to South Africa for a Test and ODI series.
The 33-year old said that when he had told the Indian cricket board about his plans to step down as the T20I captain with the hopes of managing his workload and working towards retaining his elite form as a batter, the organisation took the news in a very positive light and showed their support towards the move. Nobody told him to continue to be the captain in the shortest format of the game.

When Sourav Ganguly was approached for a comment on the recent development, the BCCI president said: “I have no comment to make. BCCI will deal with it appropriately."
This response from Ganguly has made a lot of fans think about whether he was making a threat to Kohli for putting him in a compromising position:
    This sounds like a threat

    BCCI is ruining a star!
    — Ornab (@arnab_goswmai) December 16, 2021#souravganguly protecting records of all people VK is threatening. #BCCI supporting him. If @imVkohli plays at a normal average for next 5 years, he would clear out all records done previously. Even as a captain. This is a sketch planned for a long time

"We'll Deal With It": Ganguly After Kohli's Explosive Press Conferencehttps://t.co/Iha2LIGRKw
    — Sandeep Kanwar (@Sandykanwar) December 16, 2021Despite the recent turmoil, Indian cricket fans have found themselves feeling sorry for Rahul Dravid, the Men in Blue's newly appointed head coach, who has once again been embroiled in Indian cricket politics after taking up a high-profile position with the senior team.
As the Men in Blue make their way to the land of the Proteas, complete their quarantine period in the special resort that has been arranged for them and their family members, and start practising ahead of the first Test which begins on December 26th, 2021, the fans, analysts and evident Virat Kohli himself, will have to see when and how does the BCCI deal with the former cricketer’s cheeky stunt.
