A film with a love triangle always culminates in the nail-biting ending with the girl or the guy choosing between the two admirers.
The film, however, fictional, has to end with the protagonist picking their one true love, which is what happens in real life too. You cannot end up with two people even if you love them both equally.
Atrangi Re, a rom-com drama starring Sara Ali Khan, Dhanush and Akshay Kumar also revolves around a girl named Rinku (Sara) who apparently ends up falling for both men.
    © Instagram/Sara Ali Khan
A particular dialogue from the film where Sara reveals she wants both men, became a point of debate among fans.

She is seen saying, “Ek baar ek ladki ko dono mil jaayenge toh kya aafat aa jayegi (Will there be a disaster if a girl gets both the men for once)?” in the trailer.

A lot of people linked it to the feminist movement and while some praised it, others were irked.

However, Sara has cleared the air saying it is more than that. It speaks of the innocence of the character and is not meant to stand by a social issue. “At least for me, this is not a feminist movement," she said.

“This is not a protest. I don’t think we’re trying to take a societal stand. It is about everybody, whether it’s a guy or a girl. Rinku just happens to be a girl. It’s about love, wanting love and being honest and innocent. The one thing that Aanand ji was very clear about is no matter what lines I’m saying including ‘ek baar ek ladki ko dono mil jaayenge toh kya aafat aa jayegi’— there’s no insolence in that; there’s no entitlement; there’s only innocence in the way she’s saying that. And to me, it’s very interesting," she further added.

    © Instagram/Sara Ali Khan
She said that she started to understand her character while shooting and stopped judging her. “Through the process of making this film, I fell in love with Rinku. I stopped judging her and I fully started to understand her. It was halfway through our schedule where Aanand ji told me, ‘Ab tu Rinku ban gayi hai. Aur ab tu chaahe kum acha karega lekin ab tu galat nahi karegi kyuki ab tu Rinku ko samajh gayi hai (You have now become Rinku. Now even if you don’t perform to the T, but you will not do wrong because you have understood Rinku).’

It’s upon the audience to deem Rinku’s dialogue as empowering or simply realistic. The actress made it clear that it had nothing to do with feminism and was just playing her character as truly as she could.

After the all-time blockbuster that was Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Allu Arjun is returning to the big screen with possibly the biggest film of his career, Pushpa: The Rise - Part 1.
The movie is slated to be a pan-India release and is touted to be Allu Arjun’s official introduction to a majority of the North Indian audiences.
    © Mythri Movie Makers
Besides Telugu and Hindi, Pushpa is also releasing in other Indian languages like Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.

However, ahead of the film’s nationwide release this Friday, Kannadigas (Kannada people) took to Twitter and called for the boycott of the film.
#BoycottPushpaInKarnataka is trending on Twitter and the reason behind it is that the distributors have allotted only a number of shows of Pushpa in Kannada dubbed version in the state.
Kannadigas are furious that most of the shows of Pushpa are in the original Telugu version despite the movie being dubbed in Kannada.

Expressing their anger and disappointment over the allotment of the shows in Karnataka, they have started calling for the film’s boycott in the state.

One user wrote, “Dear @alluarjun, why are you dumping Telugu version in Karnataka when you have Kannada version? You and your marketing team has got it all wrong. This is not going well with Kannadigas. I won't watch Pushpa unless released in Kannada across Karnataka. #BoycottPushpaInKarnataka”.

Another user tweeted, “Special Ops, Arya are 2 major series and Jai Bhim, Soorarai potru are 2 movie watched in Kannada on OTT and have loved them, connected to them. So I wish all movies hereby that comes to Kar from outside should be in Kannada. #BoycottPushpaInKarnataka”.

3 shows have less than 5% fillings correct. But these 3 shows aren't in prime screens. Waste theaters. Release in mantri, orion like that. seats will fill. (Similar to AMB , Prasad's in HYD)

On the other hand, there were also those who defended makers opting for more Telugu version screening in Karnataka over the local language Kannada dubbed version.
One user wrote in response, “Why will market forces allot more shows to Kannada when even the 3 shows allotted are not filling up? We may come up with the old reason of ಇಷ್ಟು ವರ್ಷ ನೋಡಿ ನೋಡಿ ರೂಡಿ but that won't cut ice anymore. #BoycottPushpaInKarnataka”.

Star kids become famous whether or not they choose the film line just like their parents. Some stay away from the limelight for life, while others start gaining media attention as soon as they join Bollywood.
Saif Ali Khan’s elder son Ibrahim has also started his career in movies and is working as an assistant director to Karan Johar on Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
    © Instagram/Sara Ali Khan
Ibrahim Ali Khan hasn’t even made his debut and is already a fan-favourite. He is papped whenever he steps out and his style and looks are talked about.

He has a very casual fashion statement and keeps it stylish, be it an airport look, shoots
with sister Sara or a party with friends.

True to his style, he wore another casual look and pulled it off quite stylishly. He was out and about the city last night for a party with his friend Nirvaan Khan, Sohail Khan’s son. His sartorial choice was perfect for a boys’ night out.

    © Viral Bhayani
He wore a denim-on-denim look with a light shade jacket and darker pair of jeans. He wore a printed shirt underneath with buttons down till below chest and styled this look with coke white sneakers that featured a high ankle.

The sneakers he is wearing are Nike Men's Court Borough Mid Shoe in white. They have lace-up details and a cushioned footbed which makes it a classic pair of footwear for a night out with friends. The shoes are available for Rs 3-5k on shopping retail sites.

Apart from this, he had a black face mask on.

These classic white sneakers are a must-have for men who aren’t into OTT trends or statement fashion items. They can make you stand out without putting in much effort while shopping and dressing up. No wonder, they are Ibrahim’s favourite pair of footwear he wears often.

Though he kept it quite simple and casual, his outfit was seemingly perfect for the Mumbai weather and sneakers look really comfy and chic.

After the Coronavirus outbreak around the world in 2019 led to the theatres across the countries shutting down, a lot of movies that were supposed to release on the big screens opted for an OTT release.
Many started questioning if the theatrical business is dead! But, earlier this year, Telugu and Tamil cinema showed the way when Ravi Teja’s Krack and Thalapathy Vijay’s Master were released in theatres and rocked the box office.
    © XB Film Creators
Bollywood too saw a ray of hope particularly in the way Master overperformed at the box office and decided to revive theatres with Rajkummar Rao starrer Roohi and John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi starrer Mumbai Saga.

Sadly, both the movies failed to make a mark and ended their box office run around the Rs 20 crore mark. Sure there was a 50 per cent occupancy rule but even then, the theatres were sold out.
A few other films like Bell Bottom and Chehre too released in theatres this year but failed.

Finally, it was Rohit Shetty starrer Sooryavanshi that brought the audiences back to the theatres. The fact that apart from Maharashtra, most theatres at all other places were now running with 100% occupancy also helped the film’s box office prospects.

Released during Diwali, Sooryavanshi had a terrific run at the box office and has earned around Rs 195 crore in India. The huge success of Sooryavanshi left the producers and distributors happy and other Bollywood releases hoped to follow suit.
    © Rohit Shetty Picturez
Unfortunately, none could succeed in repeating Sooryavanshi’s grand success. After the Rohit Shetty directorial, there were high hopes from films like Bunty Aur Babli 2, Satyameva Jayate 2, Antim: The Final Truth and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui.

Out of these, Satyameva Jayate 2 and Antim, in particular, were expected to set the cash register ringing. While Antim still managed to collect some amount, Satyameva Jayate 2 was outright rejected. The same was the case with Bunty Aur Babli 2, which turned out to be a big flop.
Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui received positive reviews and enjoying a good run in theatres it still isn’t enough. On the other hand, debutant Ahan Shetty starrer Tadap too managed to get some footfalls in theatres.
    © Salman Khan Films
Despite their fair share of criticism and acclaim, none of these films could even cross the Rs 40 crore mark at the box office. Not even the film featuring Salman Khan in a prominent role.

Take a look at the approx box office collections of films released in theatres after opening up of cinemas in October 2021:
    - Sooryavanshi : Rs 195 crore
-Bunty Aur Babli 2 : Rs 12 crore
    -Satyameva Jayate 2 : Rs 12 crore
    -Antim - The Final
    -Truth : Rs 37 crore
    -Tadap : Rs 24 crore
-Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui: Rs 20.91 crore (6-day figure, still running in theatres)
    © Reliance Entertainment
Hollywood film Spider-Man: No Way Home has released on December 16 in India and is running a riot at the box office.

As far as Hindi films are concerned, all hopes are now pinned on 83.
and Jersey to end Bollywood’s dry spell at the box office and end the year on a high.

After Virat Kohli’s explosive press conference, the differences between him and the BCCI administrators, especially president Sourav Ganguly, have come to the fore. Kohli has categorically refuted the former India skipper’s claims about asking him not to give up the T20I captaincy and also alleged that there was no prior communication from the board either before sacking him from the ODI job.
This is getting serious between virat kohli and dada
    Both have opposite words
Definitely not a good sign for indian cricket.#BCCI pic.twitter.com/9owZ3jnnBC
    — Frozen (@ein_scofield) December 15, 2021
These contrasting opinions have led to a huge controversy. The BCCI is yet to react through official channels but reports say that the officials are unhappy with the Indian Test skipper for the way he expressed himself during the press conference and made claims that put him at loggerheads with the head of the Indian cricket board.
    © Reuters
Amid this controversy, the biggest worry that most fans and experts have is that there is an important series coming up against South Africa and if this issue escalates any further and things are not sorted out quickly, it could even ruin the atmosphere inside the dressing room and start affecting the team’s performance.

    © Reuters
Ahead of such a crucial tour, the former India all-rounder Kapil Dev feels that both the parties – Kohli and Ganguly – should keep their egos aside and think about the country’s interest. He believes that giving out public statements will only make things worse and they should refrain from doing that.

“I would say board president is board president but yes, the Indian cricket team captain is also a big thing. But talking badly about each other in public, I don't think it is a good thing, whether it is Sourav or Kohli, Kapil Dev said on ABP News.
“You have to control the situation and it would be better to think about the country first. Whatever is wrong will be known soon but speaking publicly about the topic, I think, is wrong at this time. I would not want to see any controversy ahead of an important tour,” he added.
    © Reuters
After Kohli’s press conference sent shockwaves, it was reported that the chief selector Chetan Sharma would hold a press conference but it didn’t happen.

Perhaps, the BCCI office bearers realised that speaking in public would not be the wise thing to do and they must sort out the differences internally.
It’s true that both Kohli and Ganguly don’t appear to be on the same page but the best thing for Indian cricket would be if they sort it out amongst themselves like grown ups.

Probably one of the most awaited movies in Bollywood is Brahmastra, which has been in the making for more than six years. With the motion poster finally releasing, fans have hopes that they will get to see Ranbir and Alia together in this movie.
    View this post on Instagram
The launch of the motion poster took place yesterday and actor Ranbir Kapoor took a few moments to remember his father, late superstar Rishi Kapoor. Talking about how he got angry at him and director Ayan for taking forever to make this film, he recalled what he had told him.

“I miss my father terribly today. I remember during the making of this film, during these last how many years, he kept fighting with Ayan and me and kept questioning us, 'What are you doing?' 'Who takes so long to make a film?' 'Who spends so much money? Ranbir you're not making one penny on this film. VFX film kaun dekhega, India mein koi VFX film nahi dekhta (Who watches VFX in India? No one will watch a film made with VFX),'” he said.

He went on to quote a line from his late father’s movie before proceeding. “But I believe he's here somewhere. I hope he's proud, I hope he's smiling. And just to pay a small tribute to him, if you guys know it, please join me,” he added, before revisiting iconic lines from Rishi's film Karz.
“Kya tumne kabhi kisi se pyaar kiya, kabhi kisi ko dil diya, maine bhi diya" he said, while blowing a kiss towards the sky. Brahmastra is finally going to release around September 2022 and stars Ranbir, Alia and Big B in pivotal roles.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India and the Indian cricket team are both in the middle of a rather dodgy controversy in which nobody knows whom to trust.
For starters, Virat Kohli’s recent press conference before leaving for South Africa suggested that BCCI President Sourav Ganguly lied in the face of media when he said that he wanted Kohli to remain the T20I captain.
I personally requested him (Kohli) not to give up the T20I captaincy :Sourav Ganguly

    — Sk Kaizar (@KaizarSk) December 15, 2021
Furthermore, the fact that there are various leaks within the Indian cricket board who have been sending out highly confidential information like the date and time for Kohli’s resignation as a captain, also suggests that internal discrepancies are at an all-time high within the organisation.
Also, there have been numerous lies coming from within the BCCI, for instance, Ganguly declining all rumours of Rahul Dravid being appointed as the new head coach and Kohli being permanently removed as white-ball captain, only to make it official through their social media channels a couple of days later.

    — editorji (@editorji) December 15, 2021
Having said that, the media has also played a key role in making the whole transition of power from Kohli to Rohit Sharma a dirty mess.
For instance, “reports” of Kohli making himself unavailable for the ODI series in South Africa were making headlines and were adding fuel to the fire around a speculated rift between Sharma and him. These rumours were quashed by Kohli himself, who not only condemned them but also called those publications “not credible”.
Virat Kohli Was smiling when he was replying "I am available for the selection all this time (ODI Series vs South Africa). Should be asking me these question, you should ask this who are writing these stories and sources, they're not credible." pic.twitter.com/N4afCq3yW9
    — CricketMAN2 (@man4_cricket) December 15, 2021
Another “report” suggested that the infamous and mythical rift between Kohli and Sharma had once again come alive in the middle of the chaotic mishandling of the latter’s firing as white-ball captain. This was again refuted by Kohli in the press conference when he emphasised the fact that he was tired of justifying his relationship with Rohit Sharma.
Amid the surge of such not-so-accurate reports from all over the country, an old and rare interview with Mahendra Singh Dhoni has once again come to light in which the former Indian skipper dealt with false news about his alleged relationships with humour.

In a 2007 media interaction, Dhoni was asked about his rumoured relationship with Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone.
"Please don't change my girlfriend every two days. It's tough to keep track as I am linked to a new girl so often. If you are forcibly linking me to someone, then at least the alliance should last a little long," he responded with a smile on his face.

However, back then, social media wasn’t as prevalent and encapsulating as it is today. People weren’t spending so much time online, getting involved in controversies and even creating some of them out of their own imagination.
