Anushka Sharma was last seen in Anand L Rai's 2018 film Zero opposite Shah Rukh Khan and her fans are missing seeing her on the big screen. It's been three years since the release of Zero and the actress is yet to announce her next film. Last year, Anushka's pictures in the Indian cricket jersey made headlines on social media. In the images, she was seen with cricketer Jhulan Goswami at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Since then, there was a buzz that Anushka will make her Bollywood comeback with the cricketer’s biopic.
View this post on Instagram
Various reports also suggested that Anushka will start working on the biopic from the end of this year. However, according to the latest development, the Jab Tak Hai Jaan actress has decided to not feature in the film. Hence, the makers have now replaced her with Tripti Dimri.
Yes, you read that right!
Revealing the same, a source told Peepingmoon.com, "The project has gone through a major change in the last couple of months and although the film is still happening, Anushka will not star in it. Now, Bulbbul actress Tripti Dimri will frontline this film while Anushka will be a part of it only as a producer. She is co-producing it along with Sony Pictures India".
Originally, the biopic was planned for a theatrical release, however, it is expected to be now made as a Netflix Original. The biographical drama will be helmed by Pari fame Prosit Roy who has already started prepping for the project which is slated to go on floors in the first quarter of 2022. However, the makers are yet to make an official announcement.
Reportedly titled Chakdah Express, the biopic is expected to premiere on the streaming giant next year.

Abhishek Bachchan has come a long in his cinematic career. He has had his own fair share of struggles and after a string of back-to-back flops, he reinvented himself with Anurag Kashyap's Manmarziyaan. He was last seen in Annapurna Ghosh's directorial venture Bob Biswas and was appreciated by the viewers.
View this post on InstagramBengali actor Saswata Chatterjee originally played the character of Bob Biswas in Vidya Balan starrer Kahaani (2012) and a lot of fans were left disappointed as they wanted him to reprise the role and not Jr. Bachchan. Chatterjee wasn’t disappointed with the decision of him being replaced in the film.
Saswata told Hindustan Times, “I did the film in 2012, why will I be bothered about it being made in 2021? I did several characters in between. If I was upset I would have come out and given so many statements. (But) I didn’t bother.”
He revealed that neither director Sujoy Ghosh nor Abhishek Bachchan reached out to him while making Bob Biswas. “I love Abhishek because even I’m a star son. So I understand what he has gone through his entire acting career,” he said, adding that Bob Biswas has become a franchise like James Bond. “When a character is played by two different people it should be played in two different ways. Say, James Bond. Every actor has played it differently and we should accept that. You should go to a movie hall with an open mind,” Saswata further said.
We are really impressed by how maturely Saswata responded to the queries about him being replaced by Bachchan.
For Bob Biswas, Abhishek had to gain a lot of weight and it wasn’t easy for the actor. He told India Today in an interview, “I mean to put on the weight obviously shooting in Kolkata in winter when you can have Gud Sandesh and all the wonderful sweet food that Kolkata has, but mentally I got stuck because we had to shut down our shoot halfway through because of the lockdown and we were about 80 percent complete. And, we had another 10-15 days of work left. Throughout the lockdown, I had to maintain that weight. That was tough.”
View this post on InstagramHe went on to add, “I became between 100-105 kilos during the shoot. And if you see Bob’s face, the face changes when it is round and his cheeks fill up. When you do prosthetics on the cheeks it looks like a prosthetic. So, the stomach moves in a different way. When you have that weight and you are physically carrying that weight your entire performance changes because your body language changes your weight, your movement, your walk, your run, everything changes."
Apart from Abhishek, the spin-off movie also features Chitrangada Singh and Samara Tijori in pivotal roles.

People say, love is blind, and as someone who has lost sight of a lot of things (and red flags) while in love, I wholeheartedly agree. However, even in that short or no sightedness, there are a few things that must never be overlooked. Someone’s marital status, for that matter.
You see, polygamy is good. To each his own, after all. But what makes it better is transparency. Because in the absence of that and in the presence of multiple partners, your ‘love’ is reduced to ‘cheating’ and the consequences to that are never pretty.
© iStock
As was the case recently in Jaipur when a man had to jump from the balcony of a fifth floor in order to avoid getting caught by his partner’s husband.
Now, most people at this point would either think back to a time they’ve done the same to avoid parents of a lover or even partner for that matter, but what they mustn’t have anticipated is that sometimes things can go terribly wrong.
Like in this case, where the alleged man who jumped, died after making that jump.
The deceased, 29-year-old and identified as one Mohsin was in a live-in relationship with a married woman and her minor daughter, however, the circumstances of this relationship were a tad bit unconventional.
© iStock
Turns out, the woman had eloped with her lover from Nainital to Jaipur 2 years ago and was living in a rented flat in a building under Pratap Nagar police station. The husband, all this while, was still looking for his wife and traced her to Jaipur.
Upon visiting the wife, as the husband noticed Mohsin, things got intense and an intimidated Mohsin panicked and jumped from the balcony to escape his wrath. And while his wrath he did escape, what he couldn’t was his own misfortune.
© iStock
Having been seriously injured, the man was taken to the SMS Government Hospital by his lover, where he died on Monday. After the incident, both the woman in question and her husband have been missing, as police are searching for them.
The body of the deceased was handed over to his family members after a post-mortem examination on Tuesday.

Becoming an IAS officer in India is more prestigious than any other job. It’s incomparable.
However, it’s not easy.
Millions of Indians sit for the UPSC exam which is deemed the toughest exam in India. A UPSC aspirant puts almost everything at stake and studies day and night to clear the exam.
However, this one guy who was preparing got famous for his reply to a girl who wasn’t responding to his text.
© iStock
An IAS officer Jitin Yadav shared the screenshot of a chat between a UPSC aspirant and a woman. It seemed like he was trying to converse but to no avail.
The source of the screenshot isn’t clear, neither are the people involved. However, it is clear that the aspirant was fed up not getting any replies from the girl, even after multiple attempts.
© iStock
His final text to the girl was filmy and fitting and is winning the internet. “Na karo reply (don’t reply).” he wrote after a hello. And, then he goes on saying, “UPSC aspirant hain, ek bar cleer ho jaiga to khud message karogi tum [sic] (I am an UPSC aspirant. You’d text me yourself once I clear the exam).”
© iStock
The IAS who shared the photo, wrote in the caption, “In aspirants ka kya kare” (What to do about these aspirants). However, people are in splits reading his filmy reply.
Many even compared the whole thing with the plotline of the Bollywood movie Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana , where the guy clears UPSC in revenge for his bride leaving him at the altar.

Here is how people are reacting to his text.
And that's the motivation when she doesn't reply you.

People who know and love cars will tell you just how special a Lamborghini is. For many petrolheads, it is just a little bit more special than your Ferraris or McLarens could ever be. So you can imagine just how painful it would be to see one of the greatest cars to have come from the Italian supercar makers, rusting away in a junkyard.
View this post on Instagram
A white coloured Lamborghini Murcielago, which is believed to have once belonged to Amitabh Bachchan, was recently discovered at a junkyard in Gurugram, where it is rusting away. Now, let’s make one thing very clear - it wasn’t the veteran actor who abandoned it, but the seller who took it off his hands, once Amitabh Bachchan put it up for sale.
© Reuters
Although all Lamborghinis have had rockstar status with people who’re into cars, it’s popularity soared high with the release of Nolan’s Batman Trilogy. Christian Bale as Batman is seen driving around Gotham city in a greyish-black Murcielago, which is Italian for a bat. Batman, in particular, catapulted Murcielago to a whole new level of fame.
© Warner Bros. Pictures
Coming to the unfortunate piece that is lying around in a junkyard in Delhi, the car was abandoned at a workshop by a builder who crashed the Murcielago, just weeks after buying it from Amitabh Bachchan.
© BCCL
Given that the repair would have cost the builder a fortune, he must have decided that it would be wise to just abandon it.
What’s sad about this is the fact that Amitabh Bachchan’s Murcielago was one of a kind, and one among the handful of Murcielago that came to India.
© Instagram/rip_car
What’s even more aching, is the fact that the supercar is lying in a pitiful state, with its front bumpers, bonnet, and rear end in complete shambles and the suicide doors opened up fully, damaged as well.
© Instagram/rip_car
Even the sporty-looking dual-tone black and red leather interiors are left to rot.
© Instagram/rip_car
When bought brand new, the Murcielago would cost at least Rs 3.4 Crores, back in 2004, which was a ton of money for a car back then. Amitabh Bachchan had a particular soft spot for fast Lambos it seems. At some point or the other, he has owned the Gallardo, Diablo and even the iconic Countach, all outside India, in London.

There is not much about Sanjay Dutt’s controversial life that has not been in the public eye.
From his drug addiction, clashes with fellow colleagues, multiple relationships, involvement with the underworld to his jail term, the actor has seen it all.
They say truth is stranger than fiction, perhaps, that is the reason his biopic, Sanju starring Ranbir Kapoor was such a massive money-spinner at the box office. It showcased a number of controversial incidents in his life.
However, what it didn’t delve into was his alleged relationship with actress Tina Munim and how he once went to the Mehboob Studios to beat up superstar Rajesh Khanna.
© Mehboob Studios
According to Sanjay Dutt’s biography Sanjay Dutt – The Untold Story of Bollywood’s Bad Boy, the actor had fallen in love with Tina Munim ever since he worked with her in his debut movie Rocky.
His relationship with Tina was going strong until his drug addiction worsened. Eventually, his relationship with Tina came to an end when she walked out on him. Sanjay Dutt, who was a possessive boyfriend, didn’t take it well.
Incidentally, around the same time, Tina was working with Rajesh Khanna, with whom she had delivered a success in Souten. The rumours about Tina and Rajesh Khanna’s relationship started doing the rounds. This had angered Sanjay Dutt and he had gone on record to insult Tina.
© Instagram/Sanjay Dutt
He had said, “Take my relationship with Tina for instance. The whole world knew she was fooling around with everybody, making a chu… out of me, but I behaved like a blind man and defended her totally. Of course, at the end of it, when our relationship was over and her affair or whatever with Rajesh was brought out in the open, I felt like a fool. I felt used. I knew I was the laughing stock of the industry. Everybody was laughing at me.”
However, he didn’t just stop at that. He further decided to go to Mehboob Studios to beat up Rajesh Khanna who was shooting for a film there. The reason behind his outburst was the fact that his girlfriend had walked out on him, so he decided to teach Rajesh Khanna a lesson.
© Twitter/Vintage Bollywood
He said, “It had happened soon after Tina had walked out on me. I don’t know what got into me that day. But I was just seized by anger… I couldn’t bear the fact that someone had walked out on me. So in anger, I swore to get Rajesh. I drove to the studios where he was shooting. He came out and sat on a chair. I too pulled up a chair right in front of him and sat down bang opposite. Then I kept staring at him and he got totally psyched. I would have walloped the f**king sh*t out of him. But he just sat still. Lucky for him.

Seven years ago Bollywood witnessed the debut of a young girl who had high ambitions and wanted to make her mark in the industry. Kiara Advani stepped into this glamorous industry with Fugly but it was her role of Sakshi in Sushant Singh Rajput’s MS Dhoni The Untold Story that made people notice her. It was her role as Preeti in Kabir Singh that gave her the much-needed push and we also got to see her in Shershaah alongside Sidharth Malhotra.
View this post on InstagramShe has come a long way in her cinematic career. She has recently invested in a brand new Audi A8 L luxury sedan. She bought her swanky new car on December 15. This car is an addition to her luxurious collection that includes a BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and also a BMW 530d.
She bought a black Audi A8 L luxury sedan that costs around Rs 1.56 crore (ex-showroom). The official Twitter handle of Audi India shared Kiara Advani's pictures with her brand new car. “Progress and creativity go hand in hand. We’re happy to welcome @advani_kiara to the Audi experience. #FutureIsAnAttitude #AudiA8L (sic),” read the tweet.
View this post on InstagramWe are really proud of Kiara who has managed to achieve her dreams. Sadly, people started to troll her and went on to question if a conman has gifted her this car just like in the case of Jacqueline Fernandez.
Here are the reactions:

According to reports, the net worth of Kiara Advani is estimated to be around $3 million, which in Indian currency is approx. Rs 22 Crores. Her major sources of earnings are movies and brand endorsements.
View this post on Instagram
Talking about her Bollywood journey, she earlier told TOI, “I feel that there is a long way to go before I reach where I want to be. Yes, the tag of being a star brings a certain kind of pressure, but I will always be an actor in my head. I try not to base my decisions on the position that I am in my career. I am sure that I want to continue being the person I was when I started my career. My instinct and my passion for my work are the same.”
On the personal front, she is rumoured to be dating Sidharth Malhotra but they both have been very guarded about their relationship.

Okay, so before you come at me for ruining a classic for you guys, let me break it to you that the movie we have so dearly internalized years ago, was already broken and twisted at the time it came out.
Why, you ask? Because, as romantic and dreamy as it may have been, it was problematic and misogynistic as hell.
via GIPHY
The movie starts with an introduction to the two main characters - Raj (Shah Rukh Khan) and Simran (Kajol) who are both NRIs and living in London.
© Yash Raj Films
While Raj is shown as a rich, spoilt brat with privilege dripping from his face like sweat, Simran comes from an upper-middle-class family that is still tied down by ‘Indian values and culture’ and, of course, - Bauji’s words which are like words from the gospel itself.
© Yash Raj Films
Bauji here is the manifestation of the typical ungrateful Indian who moves abroad to earn in dollars or pounds but still casts racist slurs to people living abroad, while keeping their Indian mentality on a pedestal.
In fact, I am sure, if we searched his pockets thoroughly, the origin of both hypocrisy and patriarchy could be found stemming from there. Well, to be fair, his and Alok Nath’s pocket, but okay…
© Yash Raj Films
Moving back to the plot, it turns out that both Raj and Simran want to go for a Euro trip with their friends and while for Raj and his liberal father, there is no scope for being said no to,
Simran has to first hear a sexist lecture from her mother about strangling her dreams only to marry a man. She then literally begs her father to let her go, post which she would have to get married. Surprisingly, the lack of consent in this space never got called out and we wonder why...
© Yash Raj Films
Anyway, they both embark on their journey and bump into each other at the train station. During the entire trip, Raj is as irritating as a wedgie.
© Yash Raj Films
Sticking where he isn’t needed and invading Simran’s personal space, whether it is by asking too many questions or by forcing his head in her lap.
© Yash Raj Films
This happens after the two miss their train to Zurich and are forced to stick together till the time they find their way back to their friends.
© Yash Raj Films
At one point during this solo travel, Simran gets pissed drunk and the two fall asleep together. In the morning, Raj tells her how they both had ***. Simran is obviously traumatised and Raj, amused.
Because of course he was kidding and in his own words, knew where an Indian woman’s izzat lied. Precisely in her vagina, which if invaded would take away everything from her existence. And just like that, in one swift dialogue, he manages to slut-shame all other women who chose to put their vaginas to other use than just peeing.
via GIPHY
Such patriarchy, much eww.
© Yash Raj Films
Despite witnessing several red flags in Raj, Simran chooses to fall for this prick of a guy and this, by far, is the most relatable part of the film. Because let’s face it, we’ve all fallen for shitheads in our lives, except our tragic love story was called toxic and theirs has been immortalized by Bollywood.
© Yash Raj Films
The trip comes to an end and their love bubble bursts as soon as Simran tells her mother about this boy she met on the Euro train, only to be now slut-shamed by her father who is furious that his young daughter dared to fall for any other man than the one he picked out for her.
© Yash Raj Films
He takes his entire family and moves to India to force her daughter’s hand in marriage, but the plot thickens when Raj decides to follow her to India and win her family over. As if the guy had anything better to do back home either.
© Yash Raj Films
Meanwhile, back in India, Simran and her younger sister despise the to-be groom - Kuljeet, who is just as misogynistic as Raj was, except this one was portrayed as evil while Raj was hailed as the lover of the century.
© Yash Raj Films
Raj slyly befriends Kuljeet and gets himself invited to the wedding festivities where he tries to win Simran’s family over with a strong game of pretence. What he didn't anticipate, however, was that he had had one nasty encounter with Bauji back in London, where they both got off on the wrong foot.
© Yash Raj Films
After a lot of drama, sneaking around and songs that were added to every wedding playlist, Raj and Simran’s charade comes to an end when Bauji finds a picture of them together and puts two and two together.
© Yash Raj Films
He is more eager than ever to get her daughter married to Kuljeet now, because how else does a problematic Indian father take his anger out than by forcing his will on his family?
© Yash Raj Films
As Raj arrives at the train station to leave for good, he is attacked by Kuljeet and his goons who are enraged to find out that he was played by Raj all along. This is also where the famous climax of this film took place.
© Yash Raj Films
Simran reaches the station to try and stop Kuljeet’s men and when she is trying to board the train with her lover, Raj, Bauji stops her.
© Yash Raj Films
Now, if he hadn’t shown up, Simran would be already aboard the love train and into the sunset. But because Bauji did come and stop her in her tracks, she starts asking him whether or not she can go to the point that even he gets irritated and lets her go.
© Yash Raj Films
The iconic Jaa Simran Jaa moment arrives, which also feeds into the entire trope of women not having their will in anything, and she runs after the train to catch Raj’s hands.
© Yash Raj Films
Kuljeet is left standing at the station with his d(ick)gnity in hand and all’s well that ends well.
The End.
