The rivalry between India and Pakistan is second to none in the world.Β
For billions of people, itβs the biggest rivalry in the world. Hence, whenever these two nations take on each other, the contest becomes a great spectacle around the globe.
View this post on Instagram
Be it cricket or any other sport, fans from both sides donβt want to see their team lose against the arch-rivals.Β Β
For a fan, itβs either India or Pakistan, thereβs no middle ground but for India tennis star Sania MirzaΒ picking a side is not easy because while her heart is Indian, the love of her life is a Pakistani international.Β
Whenever the two nuclear-armed nations take on each other on a cricket field, people are always interested in knowing who she supports among the two countries.
Sania has time and again reiterated that this is the most annoying question she gets asked by the journalists but she has finally spilt the beans.
View this post on Instagram
Sania was shooting for a private Pakistani channel with her cricketer husband Shoaib MalikΒ in Karachi and this was when the Pakistani veteran decided to pull her leg by asking the βstaleβ question.Β
In a behind-the-scene video, the show host can be heard asking the Indian star whatβs the worst question she has ever been asked by a journalist or a show host.
View this post on Instagram
Without batting an eyelid, she quickly replied: βOne question that I am asked all the time, which is a very bad and stale question and I donβt want to be asked again is whom do I support when India is playing Pakistan?βΒ
βPlease guys get over it I donβt want to answer this, itβs very stale,βΒ she added, urging everyone to stop asking her this question.Β
But her husband was in no mood to let her go this easily and decided to put her in a spot of bother and said: βOne second, this is not over yet. Who do you support when India and Pakistan play?βΒ
Sania responded with a counter-question of her own and asked Malik who he supported when India and Pakistan lock horns in tennis.Β
View this post on Instagram
βOf course I support my wife,β was Malikβs quick answer. Fearing the backlash that he might face from the Pakistani fans, he added: βBut I love my country.βΒ Β
Taking a cue from her husbandβs book, the ace tennis star replied: βSame answer! Donβt ask me this question againβ.Β
They both might belong to different countries but banters like these are enough to show how much they love each other.Β
View this post on Instagram
Those who are interested in knowing Saniaβs allegiance shouldnβt forget that she still plays tennis for India, not Pakistan and that is a good enough answer in itself.

The Indian spinners had a terrific day in the office on Saturday as they derailed New Zealandβs first innings and gave India a handy lead, coming into the final two days of the match of the Kanpur Test.
While all three spinners bowled beautifully and troubled the Kiwis batters, Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin were the pick of the bowlers, picking up five and three wickets respectively.

Despite playing alongside two of the worldβs best spinners, Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, Axar was able to leave his mark. Playing only his fourth Test match, the left-arm orthodox has picked up five five-four, so far.
The way Axar bowled throughout the day left Ashwin mighty impressed, and after the stumps, he asked the left-arm spinner from Gujarat to reveal his bowling secret and what made him more reflective than the other bowlers.
Β© Twitter/BCCI
In reply, he took a cheeky dig at the senior fellow and his traditional bowling method and said that "main jyada ungali nahi marta aapki tarah", before adding that he would have to restrict the use of his fingers in order to bowl like him.Β
His reply made Ashwin and KS Bharat, who was also part of the interview, laugh their hearts out. Watch the full interview here.

βUske liye aapko ye karna padega ke bas jyada ungli nahi marni hai. Aap jyada spin karate ho na to batsman beat ho jaata hai. [To bowl like me, you shouldnβt roll your fingers much. Because you spin deliveries a lot, thatβs why it beats the batter's outside edge],β said Axar, when asked to reveal his bowling method.
βYou spin the ball too much and that's why it beats the batsman. My ball doesn't turn that much. It turns a little so it is enough to take the edge,β he added.

Axar was introduced into the attack last by skipper Ajinkya RahaneΒ but he bowled some impressive spells and picked the crucial wickets of Tom Latham, Ros Taylor, Henry Nicholls, Tom Blundell and Tim Southee to complete yet another five-wicket haul in his short Test career.
Axar made his Test debut in a home series against England earlier this year in the absence of Jadeja who was out with injury. In just three matches, he pulled off 27 dismissals and played a key role as India came from behind to clinch the series 3-1.

After Jadeja made a comeback to the side after recovering from his injury, many people had doubts whether Axar would still start for India in the home Test.Β
With his performance, he has proven that he can not only start but also outshine experienced spinners.

The ongoing Test match between India and New ZealandΒ has enthralled us all for the last three days, with players from both sides not giving each other an inch and pushing one another to the limit.
Coming into the third day, the Kiwis were in a better position after their openers gave them a brilliant start adding in excess runs for the first wicket but the Indian spinners showed their class and bundled them for 296 runs to take a crucial 49-run lead.

Apart from Indiaβs terrific bowling performance, there were a couple of other things that made the headlines on Saturday. Ajinkya Rahane faced heatΒ for not going for the review and leaving Tom Latham off the hook. After the replay showed all three reds, Ravichandran Ashwin was seen kicking the turf in frustration.
The second big talking point on the day also involved Indiaβs veteran off-spinner as he got into an argument with umpire Nitin Menon after he raised an objection over his follow-through.
View this post on Instagram
We all know Ashwin likes to try out new things while bowling and he did the same on Saturday but it led to a serious argument with the match official.
The 35-year-old spin wizard opted for a unique follow-through going across the umpire and finishing on the other side of the stump. The umpire allegedly was not happy with Ashwin obstructing his as well as non-striker's vision with his follow-through.

However, Ashwin argued that the umpire had no right of warning him unless he was stepping on the danger area in his follow-through, which he clearly wasnβt. The argument between the two dragged on for at least the next three overs, with skipper Rahane also joining in to support his teammate.
Not just that, even head coach Rahul DravidΒ wasnβt happy with the on-field umpire reprimanding his star bowler without any fault of his and he took the matter to match referee Javagal Srinath and presented his opinion on the matter.
Β© BCCI
The fact that Dravid, who is otherwise known for keeping a cool head, walked into Srintahβs cabin and raised his objection is enough to prove how serious the matter was.
As per the rules, Ashwin wasnβt doing anything wrong and fans loved his animated reaction towards the umpire. Referring to Latham's plumb LBW call, some fans joked that Menon shouldnβt have raised the issue of obstruction because he wasnβt making the right calls anyway.
Ashwin plays with opponents and match officials at the same time.
β Silly Point (@FarziCricketer) November 27, 2021Umpire: "You are obstructing my vision"
Rahane: "He's not running on to the danger area."
Umpire: "I can't make the LBW calls."
Ashwin: "You are anyways not making any" #INDvNZ | #NZvIND #TeamIndia #Ashwin Anna pic.twitter.com/A4TqljIa3A

β CON_MAN. (@CONMAN_917) November 27, 2021Nitin Menon has a point. For all the masterclass of spin craft Ashwin is putting on, he is completely blinding Menon on his follow through. I am not sure you can blame the ump for not giving LBWs in this case. He can't see it in real time.
β IPL 2021 (@iplthebest) November 27, 2021Β Menon should consider himself lucky that Rahane was leading the side in this match, and not Virat KohliΒ as he wouldnβt have dealt with the matter so calmly.Β
However, Ashwin didnβt let the argument affect his bowling and he finished with three wickets and played a crucial role in Indiaβs incredible comeback.Β
After losing early wickets on Day 4, @ShreyasIyer15 and @ashwinravi99 steady ship for #TeamIndia with a fine 50-run partnership.

Meanwhile, Indiaβs poor batting performance in the second innings has spoiled all the hard work done by the bowling unit and allowed Kane Williamsonβs side to get back in the match despite conceding a first innings lead.

A while back, Vir DasΒ faced the brunt of some social media users who bashed him for his βTwo Indiasβ monologue. People felt that he insulted our country in a foreign land.Β
And now, another comedian has landed in big trouble and things are not looking good for him career-wise.Β
Comedian Munawar FaruquiΒ on Sunday, 28 November, suggested that he may no more perform on stage after the Bengaluru Police wrote to the organizers of his show in the city, asking them to cancel the show.
View this post on Instagram
In a letter to the organizers, police stated, "There is credible information that several organizations are opposing this stand-up comedy show and it could create chaos and disturb the public peace and harmony, which may lead to law and order problems."Β Β
Further, the police said, "It is learned that Munawar Faruqui is a controversial figure as he has made controversial statements on other religions' gods."Β
Faruqui responded to the cancellation of his show on Sunday. In an Instagram post, Faruqui said, "Nafrat jeet gayi, artist haar gaya (hate has won, the artist has lost). I'm done, goodbye. Injustice."Β Β Β
View this post on Instagram
β(From) Putting me in jail for the joke I never did, to canceling my shows which have nothing problematic in it. This is unfair. This show has gained so much love from people in India irrespective of their religion. This is unfair,β wrote Munawar.Β Β
βInki nafrat ka bahana ban gaya hoon. Hasa kar kitno ka sahara ban gaya hoon. Tootne pe inki Khwahish hogi puri Sahi kehte hai, mai Sitara ban gaya hoon (I have become an excuse for their hatred. By making people laugh, I have become a support for so many. Only when I break will their wish be fulfilled. What they say is right, I have become a star)β Munawar added.Β Β
After his message started to go viral, some people started to bash him for his content and said they are happy that he is quitting comedy. However, another section of people supported him and called the development unfair.Β Β
One of the supporters wrote, βI come from which #India? I come from "#TwoIndias". I come from an #India where #MunawarFaruqui's "Comedy Show" is canceled because he is a #Muslim and yet I come from an #India where #ElvishYadav is promoted in spite of spreading "Hate" because he stands with the Government.β One of the haters wrote, βWhen did using misogynist abusive words for mothers and sisters become comedy??? He says he is religious. Does the glorious Quran permit to use "Gaali" to get a few claps? Why can he not give clean comedy per Islamic law? #MunawarFaruqui.βΒ
