The next chapter of the India-Pakistan cricket rivalry will be written today when the two titans clash in their opening matches for the T20 World Cup 2021 at the Dubai International Stadium.
    The world is watching.

In the social media era, such contests are a marketing goldmine for businesses across the borders and the brands tend to make the most of it. This time around, the food delivery apps in the two countries decided to go on an internet sledging session while truly entertaining the supporters of the two sides.
For starters, pun unintended, Careem Pakistan came up with an offer in which they will refund the entire order amount to their first 500 customers if the Babar Azam-led side ended up defeating the Men in Blue.

Indian fans took this opportunity to sarcastically compliment the business for finding a great way to make money, simply because they know that India will not lose against their boys, especially with the incredible and unbeaten record they have had against Pakistan in all of World Cup and T20 World Cup matches.
You know Pakistan never win to India that's why you are offering this, busniess level

    — Vibhu Raj Vaibhav (@vibhurajvaibhav) October 23, 2021After trolling the Pakistani business app, Indian fans were wondering what were the Indian food delivery services were up to before the legendary rivalry match and they were not disappointed at all.
Zomato took the first strike against the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and offered to deliver “burger and pizze” after today’s match and conformed them saying that they were just one DM away.
Dear @TheRealPCB, in case you’re looking for 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫 or 𝐩𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐞 tonight, we’re just a DM away
    — zomato (@zomato) October 23, 2021
They were obviously referring to the hilarious video which went viral a couple of years ago after Pakistan lost to Indian in the World Cup 2019 contest and a Pakistani fan, Momin Saqib, made fun of the reports of them eating junk food a night before the match.

Indian fans once backed them up and even offered to pay for the burger and pizze if the PCB would want to order some once the match was over and the result would not be in favour of their squad.

Even though Mahendra Singh Dhoni will not be seen behind the wickets or on the pitch finishing games for the Indian cricket team this T20 World Cup, his presence as the team mentor was enough to bring back some of his rarest fans to the United Arab Emirates.
One of these fans, Karachi-born Mohammad Bashir Bozai, who is famously known as ‘Chacha Chicago’ is also back to show his love and support for the former Indian skipper.

Bozai had pledged to stop watching international cricket once his idol would retire from the game, as he did back in 2020. However, when the Pakistani fan heard the news of Dhoni travelling with the Men in Blue for this edition of the world cup, he packed his bags and flew to Dubai.
However, he did make a pitstop in Chicago, where he got a big number of masks printed with messages of peace and friendship between the two rival and neighbouring countries.

‘Chacha Chicago’ started sharing a special bond with ‘Captain Cool’ ever since the 2011 World Cup semi-final between India and Pakistan when the skipper and helped him get a seat for the match. Dhoni would later arrange for Bozai’s seat during the T20 World Cup clash in 2014 through his manager.
This time around as well, the fan is still without a ticket but is certain the Thala will come to his rescue and provide him with a seat for what is being considered the greatest clash this World Cup tournament will see.

“I am hopeful he will have the tickets ready for me. I did send him a message when I landed in Dubai. Due to Covid-19 restriction rules, meeting him will be a problem but I will be in stands on Sunday,” the 64-year-old the Indian Express.
However, when Bozai was asked about how it was supporting the captain of the rival squad while being from Pakistan, he replied: “Yesterday when I went to have breakfast, a group of Pakistan fans met me and greeted me. When they asked whom I would support, my answer was the Pakistan team and Mr Dhoni. They laughed and called me a ‘gaddar’ (traitor). But I am used to it. I love both countries and humanity comes first anyway.”

India Vs Pakistan, arguably the greatest rivalry of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, that the world is looking forward to, is set to take place at the Dubai International Stadium later today and fans from both sides were present around the venue trying to interact with their favourite players all night long.
In a video that has gone viral, the former Indian skipper and team mentor for the on-going tournament, Mahendra Singh Dhoni alongside batter KL Rahul, could be seen sharing a friendly banter with the supporters of the opposing side at the end of India’s final practice session before the clash.

“Rahul, please don’t play well tomorrow,” one of the fans told the Indian cricketer who was walking towards his room and managed to sneak in a smile towards the fans while taking the comment in good spirits.
Another man could be seen cracking jokes with Dhoni: “Old people are doing the work while kids are playing cricket (a sarcastic taunt about Dhoni’s return to the team as the mentor at 40 years of age).

“Hamara kaam hi aisa hai jaldi retire hone wala (such is our work in which players retire at an early age),” Dhoni replied with a big smile on his face while Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah quietly walked by his side.
Dhoni remains one of the most loved Indian cricketers among the Pakistani fanbase and it was because of encounters like these that the bond continues to grow stronger even though he has retired from international cricket and is present in the United Arab Emirates just in the supporting role for the Men in Blue.

One of his greatest Pakistani fans, Mohammad Bashir Bozai aka ‘Chacha Chicago’, who had also pledged to stop watching cricket after Dhoni’s retirement, has also returned to the stadium. “This might probably be the last time I can visit a tournament and watch Dhoni in the Indian dressing room so I couldn’t let this opportunity go by,” said Bashir.
He was first helped by Dhoni acquire seats to the 2011 World Cup semi-final between India and Pakistan in Mohali and ever since he has become a die-hard support of the MS Dhoni fanbase.
