Vicky Kaushal is among the most promising stars in Bollywood now. It hasn’t been an overnight success story for the actor as he had to struggle his way to the top. Just like any other outsider, Kaushal didn't have an easy start. He has given many hits in the past couple of years such as Manmarziyaan and Uri, among others. It was his 2015 film Masaan that changed everything for Vicky.
View this post on InstagramFinally, he got a platform to tell people that he is a bankable actor and he is here to stay. With URI, he established the fact that he can attract the audience to theatres solely on the basis of his merit. Vicky is basking in the success of his recently released film, Sardar Udham. In the film, Vicky Kaushal plays the role of Udham Singh, who assassinated Michael O' Dwyer, former lieutenant governor of Punjab, to avenge the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar in 1919. Udham Singh was tried and convicted of murder and hanged in July 1940.
While he was promoting the movie, I got a chance to talk to the actor. We did discuss his movie Sardar Udham but we also talked about the common myths about men. Vicky shared his own perspective about these myths and in a way did bust these common perceptions about men.

Here are the excerpts from my interview: Men do not use makeup products.
I use it pretty much every day of my life. It’s my job. I don’t have knowledge but I have to. In fact, I am wearing makeup right now.
Men don’t pay attention to their personal hygiene.
I am not that kind of a guy. I feel personal hygiene is very important. It’s very basic. I can’t be like ‘aaj nahana nahi hai.’ I can not do anything before having a shower in the morning and I have to take a bath after I go home from work. I think it’s a myth.
Men move on easily from a breakup.
It’s very subjective and it’s not related to men or women. I feel it’s very personal and it also depends on how toxic your last relationship was or how beautiful it was. You can’t segregate it saying that men toh jaldi move on karte hai.

Men have massive egos and they're not okay with their women counterparts earning more than them.
Egos ki baat nahi hai. Men are just stupid people. Women are far more intelligent than men. They are far more mature than men. Women have better long-sightedness. Men are impulsive in a way ki unko abhi koi feeling aa gayi so uske hisab se unka reaction aa jata hai. You can call it ego or their stupidity. Unka Dimag Kam Chalta Hai. Women are more sensitive and they have a better way of dealing with situations.

Men do not show emotions and ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’
Mard ko dard hota hai. It’s our conditioning and for 100 years, we have only seen men being the bread earners for their families. Wo yeh bojha le kar chalte hai ki bahar ki duniya hame face karni hai, so we have to be the pillar of strength. It’s an outcome of the conditioning that’s a part of our culture. I feel women jitna bardasht karti hai aur jitna wo smile ke peeche chupa leti hain, I think no one else can achieve it. They have to go through so much pain because of biological factors.
What do you think of Vicky's take on common myths about men? Let us know in the comments section below.

One day before the Indian cricket team could start their T20 World Cup 2021 campaign against Pakistan, Virat Kohli decided to set things straight against those people who have criticised his decision to step down as the T20I captain after the tournament.
Talking during the pre-match press conference, Kohli was rather candid with the media. He not only reiterated that he was definitely going to give up his captaincy role following the world cup while saying that his workload management was the only reason why he was doing so and that there was no hidden agenda behind it.

"I have already explained myself a lot and I don't think I need to harp on that anymore," Kohli said. "Our focus is to play well in this World Cup and do what we need to do as a team.
“Rest people are trying to dig up things that doesn't exist and I am not someone who is ever going to give fodder to that," the skipper added while being visibly upset with the question. "I have explained myself very honestly and openly and if people feel there's more to it than what I have already told, I feel pretty bad for them. That's certainly not the case."
Virat Kohli to step down from RCB captaincy after #IPL2021
“This will be my last IPL as captain of RCB. I’ll continue to be an RCB player till I play my last IPL game. I thank all the RCB fans for believing in me and supporting me.”: Virat Kohli#PlayBold #WeAreChallengers pic.twitter.com/QSIdCT8QQM

Kohli had announced that he will be resigning as the Indian skipper in the shortest format of the game back in September, in the middle of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League. Days later, the batter made yet another announcement, this time through the social media channels of this IPL franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore, in which he confirmed that he will also be stepping down as RCB captain once this season was over.
While his fans had wished for a heroic sendoff, Kohli and the RCB’s dreams crashed and burnt when they were defeated by Eoin Morgan’s Kolkata Knight Riders during the playoffs. Realising that his time as the leader of the squad ended with a disappointing loss, Kohli could be seen hiding his tears behind his cap and the sleeve of his jersey.
