    Fans of Tollywood cinema, and the industry's “It” couple, are still reeling from the news of Samantha Ruth Prabhu & Naga Chaitanya Akkineni finally deciding to quit their marriage and part ways.

    As if this wasn’t disconcerting enough, they now have to deal with Kangana Ranaut’s rant about the divorce.

    Taking to social media, both Naga Chaitanya and Samantha had put up posts informing their fans that they have decided to part ways in a cordial manner. 

    Although there were rumours for quite some time that things weren’t as honky dory between the two for some time now, the announcement surely was a shock for their ardent fans.

    Note how the announcement requests their well-wishers to afford them the privacy to deal with the situation in a healthy, respectable and amicable manner. 
    But has that ever stopped Kangana from making comments on matters that are completely unrelated to her, and that pertains to someone else’s personal life? Of course not.

    Kangana went on to post a few stories on her Instagram account, which basically said that men are always at fault when marriages end in divorces. 

    She also went on to vilify Naga-Chaitanya for ending a relationship that lasted over a decade and quitting a marriage after 4 years.

    Of course, she wouldn’t name names in her story, but she goes on to suggest that Naga Chaitanya, who has worked with Aamir Khan in Laal Singh Chaddha, was influenced by the “Bollywood Divorce Expert”.

    She also went on to call Aamir, again, not mentioned anywhere in the post by name, as an agony aunt who “Has ruined many women and children’s lives.”
    She is, of course referring to the fact that Aamir & Kiran Rao, recently ended their marriage, after almost 15 years. What Kangana conveniently misses out on though, is the fact that both Aamir & Kiran remain great friends even after their separation, and are in fact co-parents to their son.

    Aamir is also in a very cordial relationship with his ex-wife, Reena Dutta, and has several social upliftment projects with her.

    At a time when people are trying to normalise divorce, and placing it as a better option than having to live with no dignity or respect in practically loveless, dead or even worse, abusive relationships, comments such as the ones coming from Kangana are not just detrimental to the society, but women in particular.

    Yes, she does rightly point out that more often than not, women are judged for divorces. However, saying things like “Divorce culture is growing like never before,” undermines several women who have chosen their self-respect and their own agency over a dead or toxic marriage. 

    If only someone could explain to Kangana that divorce, is not “a growing culture” but a tool using which individuals can empower themselves.

    Some of us are under the impression that only in India, do we get to see or hear about some weird wedding stories. 
    From people getting married to trees and dogs to grooms ditching their brides over mutton curry, we have seen it all.

    However, the gold medal for the weirdest wedding story has to go to an Indonesian man named Khoirul Anam. 

    You see, Anam actually married a rice cooker. Not just that, but after 4 days of “blissful married life,” he decided to divorce the rice cooker. 
    The funny thing is that as per their local records, all of this - the marriage, the divorce - everything, was legally binding.

    Khoirul Anam shared a series of pictures last week that shows him dressed up in a fancy and traditional wedding dress for the ceremony. The rice cooker he got married to, was also decked up for the occasion and was dressed in a white veil.

    He also shared a few photographs of him, kissing his rice cooker, and signing the registry of marriage, with witnesses. 
    For those interested in the details, the rice cooker was from Philips.

    In an interview with a local media outlet, Anam said that he decided to marry the rice cooker as “she” was “fair, obedient, loving and is a great cook.” 

    Don’t ask if or how did he consummate his married life!
    Four days into this blissful and starch-filled marriage though, Anam was in for the shock of his life (read this sarcastically.) He “discovered” that his beloved could only cook rice, and nothing else. 
    Therefore, he decided to file for divorce. Does that mean he would have to pay maintenance and alimony to the rice cooker? (Again, read this sarcastically)

    Turns out, Khoirul Anam is a local celebrity in the same way that certain TikTokers are celebrities. And yes, he actually is a TikToker. 

    His claim to fame is that he participates in outlandish stunts for the entertainment of his TikTok followers. Judging by the stir that his 'wedding' to the rice cooker created, it seems like he did succeed in his quest for viral social media fame.

    It’s great and honestly, quite sexy when a man smells good. However, an overpowering scent is as off-putting as a bad odour. 

    Plus, the excessive fragrance also comes across as trying too hard to look and smell good. What you should be doing to impress her instead is take a shower and add a spritz of perfume before going out.

    Using too much gel in your hair while styling can make it look greasy and oily while you just need a small amount to style your hair.

    Girls might love designer facial hair on their baes but most real women would be repulsed with that wannabe rockstar look. 

    A neat stubble, faded styles and even fuller beards are much appreciated if a clean-shaven look isn’t your scene.

    By the time Chennai Super Kings were done batting against Rajasthan Royals at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, it felt as if their win was certain.  
    Ruturaj Gaikwad’s powerful maiden IPL century with the longest six in IPL 2021, some incredible second-fiddle support by Ravindra Jadeja, and a massive 189-run total looked like enough to get the job done.

    Chennai Super Kings’ opening batter Ruturaj Gaikwad continues to climb the ladder of great form after he smashed his maiden IPL century off just 60 deliveries while hitting a massive 108-meter six on the last delivery of the innings.
    While the fact that Gaikwad played the entire 20 overs and remained unbeaten, is a massive achievement in itself, it was his celebration just after hitting the centurion six, that grabbed a lot of fans’ attention.

    In the first matches that Gaikwad had played for the CSK, he had managed to put up 5, 5, and 10 runs respectively. However, the team management and head coach Stephen Fleming not only continued to support the young lad’s talent and skillset but were also unafraid of talking about his potential greatness publicly. 
    Ever since the early slump, Gaikwad’s scorecard for the rest of the matches looks like this: 64, 33, 75, 4, 88*, 38, 40, 45, and 101*.
    Although CSK managed to put up a decent total of 189 runs for Rajasthan Royals to have to chase down, the latter squad made the task look rather effortless. 
    Thanks to some stellar and hard-hitting done by batters Yashasvi Jaiswal (50 off 21) and Shivam Dube (64* off 42), Royals scored 190 runs in just 17.3 overs for the win.

    Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was detained last night after the Narcotics Control Bureau or the NCB raided and detained a few people from a cruise ship, just off the coast of Mumbai. 
    It looks like the star kid and the others detained with him may now be arrested on a number of charges.

    Earlier, reports claimed that a total of 10 people were detained from the cruise ship. However, as it turns out the NCB only detained 8 people, including Aryan Khan.

    The cruise ship is a vessel owned by Cordelia Cruises, which sails under the name of Empress.
    As per reports, the names of the people detained after the raid are Vikrant Chokker, Goumit Chopra, Arbaaz Merchant, and of course, Aryan Khan. 
    Along with them, the NCB has also detained Munmun Dhamecha, Mohak Jaswal, Nupur Sarika and Ishmeet Singh.

    An unofficial statement given to the media persons outside the NCB office in Mumbai, claims that all of these people who have been apprehended will most likely face charges and get arrested. 
    Two of these people are known drug peddlers, one from Delhi, and the other from Haryana. 
    These two people make the situation look rather capricious for the others.

    Nupur & Munmun, evidently, are from Delhi and belong to business families.
    According to reports, unofficial sources have also revealed that most of these people had drugs on their persons and might be charged with possession. However, only after a round of detailed tests and investigations will there be any clarity on the kind of charges that will be brought against these individuals.
    It should be noted that some of the NCB officials used this opportunity to take selfies with Aryan.

    As per several media outlets, the drugs that the NCB seized from these raids, include cocaine, MDMA and hashish. As of writing this report, there has been no confirmation on whether drugs were being used at the party. 
    Soon after the interrogation is done, all 8 suspects will be taken to a nearby government hospital for blood tests that would reveal if and how much drugs were consumed.
    Interestingly, there is a rumour that Aryan Khan will be represented by Satish Maneshinde, the same lawyer who represented Rhea Chakroborty.

Milan and Ajay have worked together on films like Kachche Dhaage, Chori Chori, Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai, and Baadshaho. Seeing the results of earlier films, people were sure that this would also work out.

    However, the team has now presented itself with a great dilemma because of too many good options available in their squad, who have had the ability in the past, or have shown their skills recently, as the captain of the team.

    The head coach of the Indian cricket team, Ravi Shastri has opened up about his thoughts on Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his tenure as the captain of the Men in Blue by calling him the 'greatest white-ball skipper' of all time.  
    "(Dhoni is the) greatest white-ball captain ever. Just look at his record in ICC tournaments. I mean, what has he not won? IPLs, Champions Leagues, all ICC tournaments, two World Cups. So there is no one close to him when it comes to white-ball cricket," Shastri said in a discussion with FanCode.

    Such words of recognition for the former Indian skipper turned out to be an absolute nightmare for those who do not like MS Dhoni so much.

    The Men in Blue have won the ICC T20 World Cup 2007, the 2010 and 2016 Asia Cups, the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy, which makes him the only captain in the history of international cricket to win all ICC trophies.
    The Ranchi-born also brought his brilliant captaincy to franchise cricket as he has led the Chennai Super Kings since the very first season of the Indian Premier League. 
    Under his leadership, CSK has won three IPL trophies in 2010, 2011, and 2018. In the 2021 season, Dhoni’s CSK became the first team to qualify for the playoffs as well.

    Last night, there were reports that the Narcotics Control Bureau or the NCB had conducted raids in several places across Mumbai, including an offshore cruise ship, after it received tip-offs regarding some rave parties.

    Turns out, several prominent people were detained in the raid. 
    One of the biggest names that got embroiled in the situation was Aryan Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s Son.

    As per a report by ETimes, a senior official from the NCB has confirmed that Aryan indeed was detained by NCB officials, and is currently being questioned for possible connections to drug networks, and to determine if he had any involvement in the distribution or consumption of narcotics.

    Apparently, during the raid, a total of 10 people were detained, most of whom were well connected to the polity in Maharashtra. 

    The son of another actor was also detained along with Aryan Khan. 
    There are speculations and rumours that it was Siddhanth Kapoor, son of actor Shakti Kapoor. However, there has been no confirmation as of yet.

    Investigative officers have also been reported to go through Aryan’s to check for any indication of his direct involvement in the possession or consumption of drugs.
    This isn’t the first time that the First Family of Bollywood has had to deal with the nuisance that drugs are. A few years ago, Gauri Khan was reportedly detained at the Berlin Airport for possession of marijuana.
    In the past few years, there have been multiple instances where Bollywood & Tollywood celebrities have been detained and questioned for their alleged drug abuse. The most notable instance of this happening was immediately after Rhea Chakraborty’s arrest in connection to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death by suicide. 
    Back then, it was Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, who became the face of the investigation, at least as per Indian news channels.
    It would behove all of us to keep in mind that the investigation and interrogation are still ongoing, and it wouldn’t be wise to jump to conclusions. 
    Having said that, it clearly seems that for Bollywood, it is becoming harder with each passing day to just shake off the numerous drug scandals that keep cropping every now and then.
