The contribution that Neeraj Chopra has made to Indian sports, and more importantly, to our nation’s pride, knows no bounds.
There was a time in 2019 when Neeraj could have only hoped to make it to the Tokyo Olympics. From that point, he went on to win one of India’s most lucrative gold medals in decades.
    © BCCL
That just goes on to show just how dedicated he is towards his sport and to his craft.

Naturally, if the man wants to take some time off, and to enjoy a vacation or two, he has every right to, without worrying about his upcoming tournaments and events.
    © Instagram/neeraj____chopra
Doing just that, he recently went to the Maldives, from where he shared a video where he went deep-sea diving.

Aasman par, zameen pe, ya underwater, I'm always thinking of the javelin!

PS: Training shuru ho gayi hai pic.twitter.com/q9aollKaJx
    — Neeraj Chopra (@Neeraj_chopra1 October 1, 2021
This is where the toxicity of Indian sports fans comes in.
In the video, Neeraj can be seen mimicking throwing a javelin underwater. The caption that he used for the post, reads, “Aasman par, zameen pe, ya underwater, I'm always thinking of the javelin!” (In the skies, on land or underwater, I’m always thinking of the javelin!
What’s sad though, is the disclaimer that he had to add to his post, which read, “Training shuru ho gayi hai.” (Have already started training.
Ever since Neeraj has been appearing on interviews and in advertisements, people on Twitter have been bombarding him with unsolicited comments that he is letting fame get to his head, and that he should focus on training for the next Olympics. Which, by the way, is at least 3 years away.
    © BCCL
What’s even more problematic is that people are now passing comments on his professionalism mainly because he has been seen in public with actors, other celebrities and has appeared in advertisements and interviews.

    © Instagram/neeraj____chopra
Some people have stooped even lower, saying that now because “he has become a part of Bollywood” he will start drinking and consuming drugs.

All this vitriol is coming from couch potatoes and keyboard warriors, most of whom cannot even qualify for a state-level sports tournament.
Bas bhai ab kaafi ho gayi starbaaji… apni training pe focus karo ..ye social media kabhi kabhar hi theek hai

I wonder where they went now.
    — Suparna Chhuti Maiti (@suparna_c_maiti October 1, 2021 Factually incorrect, but still, the sentiment cannot be any truer.
It is kinda embarrassing that we compelled our ONLY Olympic champion in athletics to come out in self defence like this - having to INFORM his ‘worried’ fans that he has started his training for upcoming sessions. As if he needed our advice for that! Sorry, @Neeraj_chopra1
    — Darshna (@DarshnaVyas5 October 1, 2021@Neeraj_chopra1 #NeerajChopra wow , good to see you enjoy your vacation, javelin aap ke bahon mein even under water. "Why isn’t David Warner present in the SunRisers Hyderabad dugout?"
That is the question that has been on the minds of many SRH fans for the past couple of matches. Although the Hyderabad squad has missed out on the opportunity to play in the 2021 IPL playoffs, it is rather odd to see Warner’s absence by his team’s side.
This has led to the suspicions of thousands of Warner and SRH fans, that all was not well in the team’s dressing room and that the Australian was not happy with the way he was being treated, especially, after being the top player for the squad for over half a decade.
One bad season and everything is gone

    — CricTracker (@Cricketracker) September 27, 2021
On Thursday, however, Warner shared a rather cryptic message from his Instagram handle.

In one of the stories on his account, Warner shared a written post that said: It’s not about who is real to your face, it’s about who stays real behind your back.”
This further strengthened the doubts of a rift between Warner and the SRH team management.
Warner's insta story , which is true though ... pic.twitter.com/14cJnhrbaF
    — VARDHAN (@Nagvardhan3) October 1, 2021
To be fair though, Warner deserves to be angry with the franchise, especially, after how horribly he has been treated by the selectors and the decision-makers behind the scenes.
Struggling with his form in the IPL for the first time in over seven years, not only was Warner’s captaincy taken away from him but he was also dropped from the Playing XI in the first leg of IPL 2021 which was held in India.
Despite the humiliation, the Aussie could be seen sitting in the dugout all by himself and actively participating as the squad’s waterboy and on-field communicator.
At this time I can't hold my tears pic.twitter.com/juIAmKzdf1
    — Aryan Raj (@AryanRa84076229) May 2, 2021
In the second leg in the UAE, after Warner struggled to put up big numbers on the board, he was once against dropped and replaced by Jason Roy.
Additionally, Warner had recently responded to a fan’s message suggesting that he will not be coming back to the SRH Playing XI anytime soon:
    Is David Warner's #IPL2021 over? pic.twitter.com/BDJ1tBMBmd
    — ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) September 27, 2021
Warner’s relationship with the SRH franchise and his future with the squad will be riding on his performance during the upcoming T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE.
If the SRH feel that they are better off without the Aussie batter’s services, they will be releasing him ahead of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction.

As the second leg of the Indian Premier League 2021 heads towards the end of the regular season, the franchises have managed to get their mojo back and we are getting to see some closely contested matches on a day-to-day basis, just like the one between Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.
However, there was a moment in the match that turned out to be rather controversial when the third umpire decided to rule in favour of PBKS captain and batter KL Rahul despite an incredible catch taken by KKR fielder Rahul Tripathi.
To those who said Rahul Tripathi's catch was not out, can you clarify me why the pic on left was given out? pic.twitter.com/VHU2yb0bag
    — Sharath (@SharathRP17) October 1, 2021
Diving forward, Tripathi had done well to get his fingers under the ball before it touched the ground.
However, upon watching the play multiple times, the officials felt that the catch wasn’t clean enough and the benefit of the doubt went to the batting side.
Cricketers, analysts and fans acted alike in slamming the third umpire for messing up the call with this one.
Former KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir and Graeme Swann led the public criticism:
Rahul Tripathi's catch of KL Rahul - should that have been given out?

On #T20TimeOut, @sanjaymanjrekar and @DaleSteyn62 talk about that moment and the importance of soft signals#IPL2021 pic.twitter.com/ouCaV4ibfg
    — ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) October 2, 2021
"That was a shocker. This can end someone's campaign. It was clearly out. He shouldn't have even seen the replay more than once. Even without the slow-mo, it looked out. Things could have changed. We have seen Punjab panic in the last over. These sort of shockers cannot happen, especially at the level of IPL. It could be very unfair not only to the player but to the entire franchise," said Gambhir.
"I have just witnessed one of the worst bits of third umpiring in my life. That is blatantly out. Running in and taken a brilliant catch. That is superb. It's out in full motion," said Swann.
That was a catch for me by Rahul Tripathi. #KKR #IPL2021 #KKRvPBKS
    — Anjum Chopra (@chopraanjum) October 1, 2021Dunno about you but the catch that Rahul took looked OUT to me. I thought the removal of soft-signal would get more clarity but on this occasion, it led to confusion. 3D sport. 2D pictures. #KKR ##PBKSvKKR
    — Aakash Chopra (@cricketaakash) October 1, 2021It was a clear catch.

Rahul tripathi's fingers were underneath the ball

Did that 3rd umpire ever played cricket?#KKR #IPL2021
    — Why that (@HeeZG0n3) October 1, 2021KKR have been robbed.
Irrespective of the result of the game, that catch by Rahul Tripathi should have been declared out. Fingers clearly under the ball. Tough on the third umpire as well to make a decision but KKR HAVE BEEN ROBBED!!!!!
    — Siddhant Baid (@sidbaid21) October 1, 2021 KL Rahul, who became the Player of the Match for smashing 67 runs off 55 deliveries, was looking like the person to beat, especially after the kind of destructive yet sensible innings he had played until the second-last over his dismissal was undone by the third umpire.
Eventually, the PBKS skipper would lose his wicket to KKR’s star-boy Venkatesh Iyer in the final over of the match but the damage was already done by the time.

Hardik Pandya remains a big concern for the Indian cricket team as the T20 World Cup 2021 is less than a month away and the all-rounder shows no signs of bowling for his IPL 2021, Mumbai Indians any time soon.
While the franchise’s bowling coach Shane Bond had suggested that we can see Pandya doing his thing with the ball sometime soon, it was the MI head coach Mahela Jayawardene’s opinion on the cricketer’s health that has become a big cause of worry for the fans of the Men in Blue.
    View this post on Instagram
"We're trying to do what's best for Hardik, going forward. Whether he can bowl or not in the IPL is something we will have to look at," Jayawardene said.
"At the moment, if we push too hard (to bowl), he might be an issue where he might even struggle and might not be an asset as a batsman," he added.
    View this post on Instagram
The last time Pandya put his bowling shoes on was back in July while touring Sri Lanka with the B-String of the Indian cricket team who were there to play T20Is and ODIs. Even then, the all-rounder didn’t look comfortable bowling for long periods of time.
"It doesn't seem like (Whether Hardik Pandya is bowling fit.). Is it the form or fitness its tough to say for us from here. He hasn't bowled for a long time. He bowled 2-4 overs against England (earlier in the year). He hasn't bowled since, then. Didn't bowl in the IPL either. He has almost made himself unavailable from Test cricket," former Indian cricketer and commentator Aakash Chopra had said on ESPN Cricinfo after watching his performance in the first ODI.
    View this post on Instagram
Pandya has been an exceptional all-rounder for Indian cricket, so much so that he was being touted as the modern-day Kapil Dev. There is no better option than the 27-year old for India’s final squad when he is completely healthy and on top of his game.
However, that is simply not the case at the moment. The lack of clarity about the true status of Pandya’s injury has left the fans in the dark and the contrasting reports on his bowling capabilities from the MI dressing room don’t help either.
    View this post on Instagram
But most importantly, it is the cricketer’s health that is the biggest cause of concern. Pandya suffered his back injury in 2018 and underwent surgery in October 2019. It has been exactly two years since the operation and the cricketer has still not recovered well enough to bowl even four overs a match.

Whether you follow Bigg Boss or not, you have to agree that for a lot of people, the show is perhaps the most entertaining piece of television they have ever witnessed.
With Salman Khan returning to host the 15th season of the show from this week on, desi Twitter woke up to a rather bizarre surprise.

A few netizens are going ham with the hashtag “#BoycottBiggBoss15 '' and that too for a host of reasons.

While one may think that these people are targeting the trashy and voyeuristic elements of the show and the unnecessary drama that is shoved down the audience's throat as entertainment, that, however, is not the case.

Here are some bizarre reasons why Salman Khan & Bigg Boss Season 15 have become the latest target for the boycott brigade:

    — sushantjustice (@sushantjustice7 October 2, 2021 As per a few reports, Salman is set to make over Rs 350 Crores by hosting Bigg Boss this year.
This, compounded with the fact that Salman clearly is one of the most recognisable faces of Bollywood, is not sitting well with a lot of people who have started showing resentment towards the Hindi film industry.

Furthermore, there is also the fact that Salman’s philanthropic efforts are largely seen by these people as a PR exercise and just stunts to clean up his image, which also doesn’t help him.

Virat Kohli, in a surprising move, announced that he will step down as India's captain in the shortest format after the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE and Oman in October-November. Then, there were reports coming in that Kohli has suggested that the management should look at KL Rahul as the next captain and even suggested the removal of Rohit Sharma as vice-captain.
    View this post on Instagram
No official statement clarified these reports. For years, there have been theories of a rift between Kohli and vice-captain Rohit Sharma. Amid the chitter-chatter around the captaincy, pictures of Virat and Rohit from the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians in the ongoing Indian Premier League started to surface on the internet. After the match got over, the viewers got to see Virat checking up on Rohit as he got a little hurt. People were happy to see the two in one frame having a healthy conversation.
To celebrate their bromance, we decided to go back in time when Virat spilled some secrets about Rohit and it left us all amused. In 2017, Kohli made an appearance on chat show, Breakfast with Champions hosted by celebrity anchor Gaurav Kapoor wherein he revealed that Rohit is among the funniest of his teammates and he also has the habit of forgetting things of everyday life.
“Rohit Sharma is actually one of the funniest people you will ever come across. If he has to address some issue, he will do so in his typical ‘tapori’ (Mumbai Street lingo) style, like if I have to say, there’s a lot of traffic in Lokhandwala. He’ll say, ‘There’s a lot of this over there’. Then we wait… five seconds, 10 seconds…’But it’s very this, man’. Basically, it is up to you to understand. I have said what I had to now it’s up to you and how sharp your brain is…I’m, not going to explain what I’m talking about’,” Kohli said.
    Here’s the interview:

He went on to add, “The number of things Rohit Sharma forgets, I’ve never seen anyone else so forgetful. iPad, wallet, phone…not the small things, but daily use essentials…I don’t care, I’ll get a new one. He has no idea he’s left something, the bus would’ve traveled halfway to the hotel and then he remembers ‘Oh, I left my iPad on the plane’. He’s left his passport also a few times. It was really difficult retrieving it. The logistical manager always asks, ‘Does Rohit Sharma have all his stuff?’. Once he gets a yes from Rohit then only does the bus depart.”
    View this post on Instagram
Virat was all praises for Rohit and he said that he hadn’t seen anyone time the ball better than him. He had said, “Initially when Rohit was bursting onto the scene…we were all very curious because everyone was talking about this player Rohit Sharma. We were very curious because we were also young players but nobody was talking about us. Then during the T20 World Cup, I saw him bat…and I just slumped on the sofa. That shut my mouth forever. When you saw him play you understood what people were talking about. What we are witnessing here, amazing. I haven’t seen someone time the ball better than him.”
What a timeless interview, just like the duo's bromance, perhaps.

As shy or secretive you’d want to be about it, let’s face it, that majority of us out there indulge in a little bit of...self-lovin’ every now and then.
Be it to release some tension, explore our own bodies before we get in the bed with someone else or just for that feeling of satisfaction that comes with it (pun intended), there could be as many reasons for it as there can be advantages.
And one advantage out of them is that ejaculation helps men in reducing their risk for prostate cancer. However, there’s a catch.
    © iStock
A recent study by European Urology that surveyed as many as 31,925 men, came up with results which suggested that those men who ejaculated on a higher frequency, say 21 times in a month, suffered a much less risk of contracting prostate cancer.

Now, as impressive and encouraging as that number sounds, it is not necessary to stick to it as a formula.
The study was conducted on the premise that ejaculation is healthy for men and it was found that among the 31 thousand men surveyed, men with the lowest risk ejaculated at least 21 times per month. And this observation was true in several age groups.

    via GIPHY
Whether or not you choose to stick to that exact number, the major takeaway here is to establish that regardless of what society and your social conditioning may lead you to believe, ejaculation is not wrong. If anything, it will save your life.

In fact, there are also studies that proved how couples who have *** at least once a week are happier than those who don’t.
It is not known whether ejaculating through masturbation or with a partner during intercourse would have the same impact on a man’s health, but one thing is certain, and it's that it does lower the risk for a man to a certain degree.
    © iStock
The reasons for it could vary from the fact that ejaculation helps in reducing stress  and depression, provides increased immunity, and lower blood pressure. All this while also releasing Dopamine into our system, which further releases a hormone called ‘oxytocin’ also known as the happiness hormone.

As of yet, there has been no evidence that proves ejaculation is harmful to men’s health and by the looks of it, having an average of masturbating or having *** 5 times a week for a healthier body shouldn’t be that 'hard'…(pun intended).

No matter what you do, sometimes, your hair needs some extra TLC.
Your hair comes in contact with environmental stressors, chemical-laden hair products and styling products on a daily basis which can leave you with several hair issues like dry hair, dandruff, hair loss and more.
    © iStock
To undo the damage your hair and scalp go through, you need to treat it with some natural ingredients that nourish it back to health.

The best thing about homemade hair treatments is that they are easy to make, natural and safe and totally full-proof.
    © iStock
Here are four easy natural hair masks that you can score at home and curb every hair problem there is.

    1. Dandruff & Itchy Scalp © iStock
Flaky skin can be really embarrassing and the best natural ingredients to treat this hair woe are curd, lemon juice and a moisturising oil like coconut oil.

Take two tablespoons of sour curd and add a few drops of lemon juice and a spoon of coconut oil to it. Mix well and leave it on your hair for half an hour before washing it off. Repeat twice a week.
    2. Hair Fall © iStock
Onion juice works like a charm on shedding hair. It strengthens follicles and helps the regrowth of new hair.

The only hair mask you need for hair loss is an onion and castor oil hair mask.
Grind one onion to get the juice out of it and strain it. Mix one tablespoon of castor oil in it and massage it on your hair. Wash it off with a sweet-smelling shampoo and do it once a week.
    3. Dry & Dull Hair © iStock
Whether your hair is getting drabber by the day or lacks moisture, you need to treat it with a hydrating hair mask that brings your hair back to life.

Couple some shine-boosting ingredients like egg and a nourishing ingredient like honey for soft, smooth and super shiny hair. Whisk one whole egg and add one tablespoon of honey to it.
Apply it on your hair thoroughly and wash off after 15 minutes.
    4. Oily Scalp © iStock
Getting oil on your pillow covers is not a pretty sight, neither is hair that always looks greasy. You can prepare a hair mask that zaps extra oil from your scalp and leave it clean and oil-free for days.

Mix fresh aloe vera gel with some olive oil and put it on your scalp. While olive oil locks hydration, aloe vera treats excess oil and cleans grime and grease off the scalp. Use it weekly.

Apart from his mind-blowing work on the professional front, Ranbir Kapoot is also a style maven and a big sneakerhead who has left no stone unturned in wearing some of the zaniest shoes.
Take the time when he was seen in an expensive Dior pair and then again when he wore Air Jordan shoes worth Rs 70,000.
Ranbir certainly knows how to grab our attention with his style sense.

Coming to the current scenario, the actor celebrated his 39th birthday with his lady love Alia Bhatt.

The couple spent a short vacation in Jodhpur, and as they were coming back, they were both seen around the airport.
Apart from the adorable pictures of the two, what grabbed our eyes was Ranbir's look. He was seen in his usual clothes - a sweatshirt teamed with cargos. However, his sneakers were a catch once again.
Take a look at the details here.

Ranbir is seen wearing Yeezy Boost 700.

The sneakers are designed with grey and black suede overlays with premium leather. Furthermore, it has blue mesh underlays and reflective heel and three stripe details.
As for more, the full-length drop in the boost midsole offers comfort and stability.

As for the price, these sneakers cost Rs 22,278 approximately. The Wave Runner shoes are one of the most accessible pairs of Yeezy's one can find.

We also liked the way Ranbir paired these shoes with his edgy outfit.

His distressed hoodie too blended perfectly with the overall look. This one is Greg Lauren's Fragmente distressed-finish hoodie which costs way more than the sneakers.
Constructed with cotton fabric, this one is a piece to wear on relaxed days. Ranbir has done a great job by pairing the tattered sweatshirt with olive coloured cargo pants. These have huge pockets, and it's going well with the rest of the look.
    © Viral Bhayani
As for the accessories, he wore a black beanie and squared sunglasses that added more appeal to his style.

Both Ranbir and Alia took a short vacay to celebrate his birthday. Alia also posted a picture with Ranbir to wish him on the special occasion. They were staying at a luxurious retreat, worth more than a lakh, as per reports.
On the work front, Ranbir has Shamshera and Brahmāstra in the pipeline this year.
