    After two consecutive defeats, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) brought their Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) campaign back on track with a comprehensive 54-run win over defending champions Mumbai Indians. 
    With two of India’s biggest stars Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma going up against each other, the match was being touted as the battle of supremacy, at least that’s how fans perceived the game from the outside.

    The match was well-poised at the halfway mark but it was Kohli’s men who executed their plans really well in moments that mattered the most and forced MI’s top-quality batting line-up to succumb under pressure. 

    It was a team game and the RCB skipper, after the match, was pretty happy about how his boys performed in all three departments of the game.

    While everyone was happy that RCB registered their first win since the restart of the IPL 2021, there was one incident that evoked mixed reactions from the fans. 
    The incident occurred in the ninth over of the RCB innings when KS Bharat smashed Rahul Chahar for a six over deep mid-wicket and fisted his pump in the air. 
    His celebration, however, didn’t last very long as he was dismissed on the very next delivery. It was Chahar’s time to celebrate now and he did that in a rather aggressive manner, that most people didn’t like.

    While most fans were fine with Bharat’s burst of emotion, former England skipper Michael Vaughan felt that it was “quite immature” and indicated that the player was not thinking about the team but himself. 
    Vaughan further said that hitting a six didn’t warrant an extravagant celebration like that because clearing ropes in T20 cricket should be normal for any batter, it’s their job to score runs for their side. 

    “I'll be honest with you... RCB.. I don't want to feel like I am picking on them but I just don't like the mentality. I don't like seeing fistbumps for someone hitting a six, you know, in the ninth over. You hit a six but that's your job to get the ball over the ropes. You give a fistbump when you celebrate at the end of the game when you have won. I have seen little celebrations at the wrong moment from the RCB team,” Vaughan said on the Cricbuzz mid-innings show. 
    “I just don't see the mechanism of maturity. It looks quite immature group that's celebrating someone hitting a six in the 8th over. So what? Who cares about that? That's for later on in a couple of hours time when you start celebrating. I see some of the things in this group that... yeah, I am not too sure I think they are almost playing individually rather than a collective,” he added. 
    However, the RCB fans quickly came to their skipper’s rescue and took a dig at the former England international saying RCB might be immature but not more than him. The comments were aimed at Vaughan’s various tweets that more often than not make him look silly and turn him into a laughing stock.

    While Vaughan might be right in saying that players must know how to keep hold of their emotions better, his scathing remarks against a side that just outclassed a top side like Mumbai Indians was a bit too much. 
    Closely analysing RCB’s victory, one would realise that their win was not possible due to one man’s brilliance, it was a result of the whole group coming together and doing their bit to help the team get over the line.

    In batting, Kohli, Bharat and Glenn Maxwell all played crucial roles, while Yuzvendra Chahal, Harshal Patel and Maxwell chipped in with crucial wickets at crucial stages of the game. 

    Hence, Vaughan’s analysis that RCB players play for their individual records and don’t have any cohesion among them couldn’t be further from the truth.

    We are talking about the masterpiece that Zoya Akhtar created by the name of the movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. A film that made us realise...exactly that.

    It’s been 10 years since the movie came out and yet, it feels like it was only yesterday we were introduced to Kabir, Imran and Arjun. The ‘three musketeers’ who through their own adventures managed to capture the essence of friendship, freedom and life so perfectly, which made us reflect on our own lives. 

    Whether it was drawing a parallel to Kabir’s (Abhay Deol) confused state of affairs about love and marriage, Imran’s fight with his inner demons and troubled family dynamics or Arjun’s war between heart and mind, we all found something we could relate to.
    And even though, by now, we have memorised almost every single dialogue of the movie, there are a few lesser-known facts about this masterpiece that you mustn’t have heard of:
    1. Hrithik Almost Killed Farhan And Abhay View this post on Instagram
    The scene where Arjun steps out of the car at the side of the road to have a meeting with “Yamamoto San”, was actually one with a back-story. 
    Turns out, while shooting the scene, as Hrithik parked the car and got out of it, he forgot to pull the handbrakes, and the car started racing towards the edge of the hill. 
    Of course, he sat right back in and Farhan got out courtesy of his super-fast instincts, but had it not been for Hrithik, they would definitely have fallen right over.
    2. Imran & Nuria’s Pillowtalk Was To Be Deleted © Excel Entertainment
    While the film was being edited, it was first decided that the conversation between Imran and Nuria in the bed after they made love was supposed to be edited out. However, Zoya was not willing to let that go. 

    She said, “I was told to cut the scene from the movie where Imran and Nuria are in bed talking because we were looking to make some edits to cut the film’s length… it’s the one in which Imran is talking in Hindi about his father. And I said absolutely not – that scene was the heart of their little romance."
    3. Hrithik And Abhay Weren’t The First Choice © Excel Entertainment
    Today, when we think back to the movie, we think no one else could have stepped into the roles of Arjun, Kabir and Imran better than Hrithik, Abhay and Farhan, respectively. But turns out, Hrithik and Abhay weren’t the first choice for the role after all. 

    The role of Arjun and Kabir was offered to Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan first, after which it was taken to Hrithik and Abhay Deol.

    Unlike Imran in the film who was terrified to jump out of the plane, Farhan Akhtar was the only one among the three to actually skydive for the scene whereas Abhay Deol and Hrithik Roshan ended up using body doubles for the shot.

    After the movie was released and was consequently a superhit, tourism in Spain spiked like crazy. 

    In fact, Spain observed a 65% increase in tourism after the movie hit the screens and ended up using the film as a case study for a marketing management course in Spain.
    6. Farhan Asked Abhay To Never Sing Again © Excel Entertainment
    The famous song ‘Senorita’ where the three musketeers have a ball dancing, was one where all three actors lent their own voices in the song. 

    They had their own verses in the song which made it all the more special and real and after Farhan heard Abhay Deol sing, he requested him to never sing again. 
    Apparently, Farhan wanted the song and his voice in it to remain unique forever and so he requested Abhay to never sing again.
    7. The Movie Was Not Supposed To Be Named This © Excel Entertainment
    There were quite a few titles in the running for this movie and before Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara was even thought of or looked at, it was going to be named Running With The Bulls.

    I’ve been told, one too many times, that my life is only as good as my manager at work. And today, after having worked for several years with all sorts of bosses, I can attest to the statement.

    Work is just one part of your life, they say. But what they don’t tell you is that it is also the biggest part of your life and your day, considering we spend most of our time grinding at our desks. 
    Perhaps that is why we seldom ever want to do anything that would offend our bosses  and put our career on the line. 
    However, as difficult as it may be, sometimes, even the bosses need to hear a ‘no’, especially, when you feel they may be taking advantage of their position and power. 
    We are talking about the rare times it is okay to stand up to your boss and say no, while not getting fired. Here is how you do it:
    1. Be Ready With A Valid Explanation

    As an employee, you can’t simply say 'no' to a task that has been asked of you by your manager. That is unless you have a valid reason for why you think you shouldn’t do it. 
    This could be you explaining to them how you’re already under a mountain of work or how asking for leave is important because you have a family emergency. Whatever the reason may be, be sure to make it clear to your boss that you’re standing your ground for a legitimate reason.
    2. Always Offer An Alternative

    The best way to say no to someone, especially, when it is your boss, is by suggesting them an alternative for it. 

    If your boss comes to you with some urgent work or a deadline and you can’t make it, your best bet would be to find another way out to get his work done and make his life easier. 
    This way, you don’t just get to do what you want, you always manage to stay under your boss’s good graces.
    3. Be Assertive, Not Aggressive

    While it is good and encouraged to stand your ground, it is also important to acknowledge that at the end of the day you’re dealing with your boss and you must not cross the line from being assertive to aggressive. 

    Even while turning down a task, remember to stay humble and let your manager know that it doesn’t mean he can’t rely on you in the future for other things.
    4. Acknowledge The Hierarchy

    Even while saying ‘no’ don’t forget to acknowledge that it is ultimately your boss who will make the call and decide whether or not you will do as he says. 

    Instead of fighting him over authority, let him know that you understand and respect his final decision, at the same time telling him where you stand. 
    This way it wouldn’t make him feel that you’re undermining his authority.
    5. Read The Room

    Another tip to keep in mind while dealing with a strict boss is to always read the room when you’re going in to have a tough conversation. 

    Get a whiff of how their mood is and don’t try to stand your ground with them on a bad day. Approaching them with a ‘no’ on a day their mood is bad will only lower your chances at success. 
    Which is why, always pick the right mood and moment to go in for the kill.
    6. Don’t Get Personal

    As it is, it can be tricky to stand up to the person who approves your paycheck at the end of every month. And whether or not you have built up animosity against your boss, it is best not to let it reflect in your tone or your reasoning when you’re saying ‘no’ to him. 

    Try to be as professional and fact-based in your conversation as possible and avoid taking anything to your heart.

    Defending champions Mumbai Indians suffered their third consecutive loss in the second leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) and dropped down to the second last spot on the points table. 

    Their latest defeat came against the Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday at the Dubai International Stadium. The team, known for its powerful batting, was bowled out for 111 runs while chasing a 166-run target set by the Bengaluru franchise.

    Watching the record IPL champions struggle badly, the fans from other franchises should have been happy but they were not. 

    They are worried because six of their players are part of India’s 15-man T20 World Cup squad and their poor form is a big cause of concern for Team India and Virat Kohli. 
    Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Rahul Chahar and Jasprit Bumrah have been named in India’s squad for the 2021 T20 World Cup, which will get underway next month in the UAE and Oman.

    Barring Rohit and Bumrah, other players have failed to produce anything meaningful in the last two weeks and their struggles might cost India dearly at the mega event next month. 

    The only good thing is that the selectors still have some time left to make changes to the squad and replace the non-performers with those who are performing match after match in the ongoing IPL. 
    Here are three changes that selectors must consider making to improve the squad:

    Yuzvendra Chahal’s omission from the T20 World Cup squad came as a huge surprise because he has performed consistently for India in the shortest format. 

    Despite him being India’s leading wicket-taker in T20Is, the selectors decided to go with leggie Rahul Chahar who didn’t have much experience of playing at the international level.

    The reason the chief selector Chetan Sharma gave while picking Chahar over Chahal was that his ability to bowl fast deliveries would come in handy on the slow tracks in the UAE.

    However, when the two leg-spinners came face to face on Sunday, it was Chahal who won the battle, picking up three wickets and conceding just 11 runs in his four-over spell. Chahar, on the other hand, gave away 33 runs and managed one the solitary wicket of RCB batter KS Bharat. 
    With his consistent performance, Chahal has proven how wrong the selectors were in leaving him out. He certainly has made a case for his inclusion and selectors should put their ego aside and swap his place with Chahar if they want India to do well in the upcoming tournament.

    Shreyas Iyer was left out of the squad because he hadn’t played much cricket in the last few months as he was recovering from his shoulder injury, after undergoing surgery. 

    The five-member selection panel preferred Ishan Kishan to Iyer because he had done well in the limited opportunities he got.

    The wicketkeeper-batter is going through a slump in this year's IPL, managing only 123 runs in eight matches whereas Iyer, who missed the first leg of the IPL, has made a strong comeback, scoring 90 runs in just two innings. 

    By including Iyer in the squad, the selectors will also provide a perfect alternative for misfiring Suryakumar Yadav, who has also looked a shadow of himself in the last two weeks.

    While picking Hardik Pandya, Chetan Sharma, with great confidence, had said that they expected him to bowl his full quota of four overs every game. 

    Forget bowling, Hardik has only featured in one out of three games Mumbai Indians have played since the restart of the IPL 2021. He didn’t deliver a single ball let alone completing his quota of overs, which clearly proves he hasn’t recovered completely.

    Hardik was the reason why selectors picked only three frontline fast bowlers in the squad and if he is not in shape to bowl, then it would be in the team’s best interest to show him the exit door and replace him with someone like Shardul Thakur who has been doing a fine job for Chennai Super Kings and can also contribute a few runs lower down the order.

    After its release, the movie was blamed for portraying 'toxic masculinity'. Those arguing for the case cited several scenes in the film, for example, when he threatens a woman to get physical and then slaps his own girlfriend due to his anger issues. 
    Such scenes then led to the audience criticising the movie. Hence Shahid's reply left many people disappointed.
    Shahid also expressed his appreciation for the OG actor of Jersey, Nani.

    To keep up with the new trends, actors have increasingly started interacting with their fans on social media. Today, Shahid Kapoor conducted a Q&A session on Twitter and as expected, fans had some tough questions for the actor. Without disappointing his fans, he answered all the ‘wanky’ questions. One of the questions involved his kids and wife.
    A fan asked Shahid if his kids Misha and Zain are more difficult to handle than his wife Mira Rajput. He wrote, “Baccho ko sambhalna jyada mushkil hai ya biwi ko (Are kids more difficult to handle or the wife)?" Shahid had a witty response to this query and he replied, “Lagta hai apki shaadi nahi hui ab tak (It looks like you're unmarried).”

    Now, that’s how you dodge the bullets and men can probably take a crash course from Shahid on how to handle such situations.

    Another fan put him in a difficult spot after he asked him to choose between Jab We Met and Kabir Singh. He obviously chose Kabir Singh as the movie became a milestone in his cinematic career.

    His response has created a debate as people are bashing him for choosing Kabir Singh while some are defending his choice.

    On the professional front, Shahid Kapoor is gearing up for his next venture, Jersey. He will be seen stepping into the shoes of a cricketer in the Hindi remake of the hit Telugu film Jersey. The film will be directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, who was also the director of the Telugu version of the film too. 

    Talking about the film, Shahid earlier told IANS, “It took me some time to decide what to do next after Kabir Singh. But the minute I saw Jersey, I knew I wanted it to be my next. It is a wonderful, inspiring, and personal human journey that I connected with deeply.”

    Sidhartha Mallya has been off the grid for quite some time now. However, he recently published a memoir in which he has opened up about several matters from his life. 
    In a recent interview, Sidhartha also spoke about his mental health and added that the novel is based on an honest account that he faced. He also opened up about his struggles with anxiety and how he wanted others to resonate with his journey.

    Mallya asserted that he could have written about the extravagant life that he has led in the past if he wanted to. However, it was his choice to keep it real and talk about the challenges he faced instead.

    He said, "I don’t need to reclaim my image; I don’t live in India, I have nothing to gain. What image do I have to reclaim? Trust me, I could’ve made a hell of a lot more money if I wrote this book about what a star life I’ve lived, the Monaco yacht parties, the IPL, and all the glitz and all the glamour… You know it, and I know it there would have been a far bigger audience for me to go gossiping about the things I’ve seen in my life. It’s fact; no one can deny that.”

    He further added, “What do I have to gain about being this open, and this raw, and this honest about my life other than I want to help people? I’m not in India, I’m not in Bollywood, I don’t have anything to gain by changing my image.”

    Being the son of disgraced liquor baron Vijay Mallya, he faced several issues during his time in India. Sidhartha also was the face of his father's IPL team, the Royal Challengers Bangalore back then and was a part of many Bollywood events.

    In his book, which is titled If I'm Honest, he said he was inspired to write it after talking about going sober and then making a video called ConSIDer This.
    Back in 2016, he suffered from depression which happened due to several reasons, including his parent's divorce. 
    Even though he had everything he could ask for, from career to acting projects, he constantly felt unhappy and dissatisfied.
