    Akshay Kumar is no stranger to a hectic schedule. The media darling has been a part of an astounding number of films - 142 to be exact - making him one of the most successful Bollywood actors of all time.
    Having begun his journey as a server at a Bangkok food stall, Akshar Kumar has come a long way to become one of Bollywood’s most in-demand actors. No matter the role required of him, the charismatic Akshay Kumar seems able to pull it off with ease. 
    The Khiladi (1992) franchise may have made Akshay a household name across India, but it was with 1992’s Saugandh that he actually debuted in a lead role. 
    Despite having turned 54 recently, Akshay Kumar’s passion for films is as relentless as ever. He still approaches each project with the same enthusiasm he had when he began his career, which explains how he’s managed to amass the fan following that he enjoys.
    Akshay was most recently seen in the hit film Bell Bottom alongside Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi. And here's a list of the films he’s got in the pipeline: 
    1. Prithviraj © YRF
    Produced by Yash Raj Films, Prithviraj is a historical drama about the life of legendary Rajput warrior king, Prithviraj Chauhan. Akshay Kumar will be starring opposite Manushi Chillar in this one. November 2021 is its reported release date. 

    2. Ram Setu  © Amazon Prime Video
    Akshay Kumar is rumored to play an archaeologist in Ram Setu, a story based on Hindu mythology. The film also has Jacqueline Fernandez, and Nushrratt Bharuccha as part of the cast. Ram Setu will be Amazon Prime Video’s first Bollywood production in India. 

    3. Bachchan Pandey © Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment
    Directed and co-written by Farhad Samji, Bachchan Pandey is scheduled for a 26th January 2022 release. The movie has a stellar cast with the likes of Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez a part of it.

    4. Atrangi Re    © Panorama Studios
    Atrangi Re is a musical-romantic drama helmed by Aanand L. Rai. Its original release was scheduled for the 14th of February 2021. After the disruptions caused by the pandemic, a new release date is yet to be announced. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan.

    The Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Raksha Bandhan will be directed by Aanand L. Rai. Akshay has dedicated the film to his sister Alka. 

    6. Cinderella  © Akshay Kumar, Rakul Preet Singh
    Starring Akshay Kumar and Rakul Preet Singh, Cinderella is currently being shot in London. The director of the project is Ranjit Tewari.

    In an interview with a leading daily, Akshay Kumar jokes,“Sooryavanshi ke baare me sirf do hi insaan jaante hai – ek Bhagwan aur dusra Rohit Shetty (Only two people are aware of Sooryavanshi’s release date — God and Rohit Shetty)”

    The film was originally scheduled to release in 2020, but the pandemic affected those plays. Sooryavanshi has Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif leading the cast.

    Coming from someone who has one of the purest and most wholesome friendships with a guy friend, I believe that a girl and a guy can, after all, be friends, in fact much better than same-*** friendships.

    A lot has been said about Virat Kohli’s captaincy in the last few days. While some media reports have suggested that the BCCI is not pleased with his leadership especially in the major ICC tournaments, a TOI report claimed earlier today that Kohli has made his mind to give up white-ball captaincy so that he could focus on his batting.
    The reports further added that Kohli will step down and hand over the limited-overs captaincy to the current vice-ball captain Rohit Sharma after the 2021 T20 World Cup.

    This news came as a huge surprise to Kohli’s hardcore fans who couldn’t believe what they were reading. 

    All they wanted was someone from BCCI’s top brass to dismiss all such reports and assure them that their favourite cricketer wasn’t going anywhere.
    If you were also waiting for the good news with bated breath, then relax. Because a top BCCI official has rubbished all such reports and said that Kohli’s captaincy has never been under threat at any point in time.

    One of the main reasons we love Ayushmann Khurrana is because of the fact that he is so ‘real’. You imagine a ‘bachpan ka yaar’ or that handsome ‘Chandigarh da munda’ boy and his face quickly comes to mind.

    The fact that he has his own share of struggles and how he made it to the top on the basis of pure talent makes him even more special for his fans. Everyone is aware of his stint that began with Roadies and then that became a stepping stone in the world of entertainment for him.

    An old video from his audition tape is currently doing the rounds where a strict Raghu Ram is calling him ‘fake’ and asking ‘kisko bewakoof bana rahe ho’? when the judges ask Ayushmann a question about his fellow contestant. Here’s the video:

    However, Ayushmann being the confident guy that he is, maintains his calm and refuses to be intimidated by Raghu or any of the judges on the panel. He was eventually selected and what follows is history now.
    The actor fondly remembers his audition days till now and in his book Cracking The Code, he summed up his experience rather beautifully. “Coming back to my Roadies audition. My aspiration had always been to become an actor and, heeding my father’s advice, I thought perhaps this would take me closer to my primary goal. And this is how I reached Hotel Sea Princess in Mumbai. The auditions were taking place on the top floor. I was quite intimidated when I reached there. The place was buzzing with super fit and good-looking guys. Some were flexing their muscles, others were doing push-ups, while the rest were just basking in their naturally good looks. My efforts in looking presentable seemed quite vain in front of those six-footers. But later I realized that Roadies was not about biceps or quadriceps,” he said.

    One can disapprove of Kangana Ranaut’s twisted ways of putting forward her opinions and theories and even disagree with her POVs, but no one can deny the talent and brilliant theatrics she brings to the table. 
    From Queen to Manikarnika to now Thalaivii, she has shown that she doesn’t need Khans and Kapoors or any Bollywood biggies to make her film a superhit.

    Speaking of whom, Ranaut has, in fact, always found herself locking horns with the Bollywood biggies who she lovingly (or rather loathingly) calls the ‘movie mafia’. 

    From calling Karan Johar ‘the flagbearer of nepotism’ on his own chat show to calling Aditya Chopra ‘Bollywood ka thekedaar’, she has not spared anyone.

    She has once again called out the “movie mafias and fake feminists” of Bollywood who haven’t appreciated her latest film and her team enough. Thalaivii, a biopic on the former chief minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalithaa, was released on 10th September.

    Kangana is basking in the success of the film and wrote in her Instagram stories, “Even before the release, we recovered the cost and after that all is bonus. Meanwhile, multiplexes can sulk and behave like big bullies and wait for the day they have to pay to get exclusive content like everyone else.” 

    She had appealed to multiplexes and cinema theatres to support her and release the film. 
    She added that fans have declared Thailaivii as the “movie of the year”.

    In another Insta story, she slammed the film industry for not praising the film enough and keeping mum. 

    “Meanwhile, movie mafia and fake feminists hiding in their hell holes had no words of encouragement or appreciation for my team who made the movie of the year but now they have started smear campaigns against the film for its limited release,” reports Indian Express.

    She added, “At least, we have the courage to deliver in the face of a pandemic. Remember the world or theatres won’t be the same post pandemic and your turn will also come soon. Someone had to start somewhere and we did. We must encourage each other and revive the film business and rise above pretty emotions.”

    The only celebrities who have praised the movie are South superstar Rajinikanth while producer Ekta Kapoor expressed her desire to watch the film soon. She is the only one who praised Kangana and the team on social media.

    Apart from this, veteran actress Simi Garewal also took to Twitter to say, “In #Thailavii she gives it her heart & soul! Jaya-ji wanted Aishwarya to play her..my hunch is JJ wud hv approved of Kangana's portrayal.”

    Recently in news for sharing a video where the Hum Aapke Hain Kaun actor relives his ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ days, Salman Khan was spotted recreating the famous towel step for his fans.
    The impromptu performance took place at a party in Turkey, where the Dabangg actor is shooting for a film. 
    The video shows the Bollywood heartthrob dancing to the tunes of the song Jeene Ke Hain Chaar Din all the while the crowd is cheering him on and going absolutely bonkers.

    The actor is donning a blue shirt, pants, a leather jacket paired with a beret and a huge smile across his face as he dances to one of his most cherished and memorable songs in his career. 
    Unlike the original song, Salman Khan didn’t take off his shirt here but nonetheless, it made the crowd happy with his spontaneous act. 
    Several people captured the star swaying to the song and doing a towel step and within a few hours, the video went viral on the internet, claiming the hearts of several hundred fans who couldn’t get enough of Salman Khan.

    The nepotism debate and the unfair business in Bollywood unravelled a couple of years ago and the blame game started. 
    Now, Taapsee Pannu has decided to come forward and put an end to this ‘insider-outsider’ debate by clearing the air about her status and success in Bollywood. 
    She says that being an 'outsider' doesn’t matter and cannot come in between your success if your audience appreciates you.

    Taapsee Pannu is one of the most successful actors in Bollywood who made it big despite not being from a film background. She did not have any godfather in the film industry or big connections, just a few South films in her kitty, unparalleled talent and a ‘never give up’ attitude.

    She started out her career in Bollywood with small roles like Shabana in Akshay Kumar’s Baby and before we knew it, she went on to become one of the few top actors who could shoulder an entire film alone. 

    She has done many women-centric films like Pink, Thappad and more recently, Haseen Dillruba.

    In an interview with a leading daily, she said, she doesn’t expect anyone’s validation, especially the industry insiders, but only her audience as she credits them for her success.

    “I've never seen being an outsider as any way lesser than being an insider. Being an insider or an outsider doesn't guarantee success. My audience will make me successful; not being an insider or an outsider.”

    She added, “So, till now, my films, whichever have worked, is because of the audience, and not because the so-called insiders validated it. No, they didn't. They still don't. It's not like I expect it also, because I have reached here courtesy my audience. They went and bought my movie tickets and made it a hit.”

    Her statement makes sense. If the audience loves the actor and thinks of them worthy of their money, the actor will be offered roles regardless of their filmy or non-filmy background. 

    Interestingly, Taapsee even launched her own production company recently and named it Outsiders Films.

    Kangana Ranaut, who actively dissed and slammed the Bollywood actors and accused them of nepotism post Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, also roped in Taapsee in her Twitter war. She called her a 'B-grade actress' and her sister Rangoli called her a 'sasti copy' of Kangana, while Pannu called the Queen actor irrelevant.

    Upon being asked about her journey in Bollywood, Taapsee said, “I can't put a calendar date on how long I can be here for. I'm going to be around for as long as I feel it is working. I want to have a graceful exit, whenever that happens.”

    We hope it works for her just as it has till now and she stays much longer than she intends to. After all, she is one of the only few good actors in Bollywood, ‘insiders’ and ‘outsiders’ included.

    Ammy Virk’s Punjabi song Qismat became such a stupendous hit that a whole movie was made to cash in the moolah and the rage that followed its success. The movie Qismat, which released around three years ago, ended up being an even bigger success and with its album breaking records, it was inevitable that the fans wanted a sequel and demanded a happy ending for the leading pair after the first one ends in a major pool of catharsis.


    Following up with millions of requests, the makers are back with the second part and the trailer has only raised the expectations of fans.

    The trailer looks like the lovers will meet, only to be separated once again. In the second half, it seems like Sargun’s character is married and her partner is hospitalised and her old flame (Ammy Virk) is out there, vying for that smile to return. Sparks may fly again and possibly they will get their ‘happily ever after’. We obviously expect insane music because everyone needs a Jaani-B Praak number to whine and remember that toxic ex, right? Dholna from the previous album continues occupying a special place even now.


    Secondly, we expect a very strong story line because sequels are always hard. Thirdly, Sargun and Ammy’s chemistry has already set a bar for fans and hence it must be beautiful yet again. The beauty of Qismat is the fact that owing to the popularity of that song, the movie became a success in the non-Punjabi speaking world as well. The movie is releasing on September 22.
