It isn’t exactly a surprise for anyone, but Ram Charan is a proper petrolhead. He has a garage that would make the most ardent of petrolheads green with envy, and for a good reason. Well, he just added another highly sought after car into his already impressive collection.

    © InstagramAlwaysRamCharan
Although more recently he has been seen driving around in a red Ferrari Portofino, he has an Aston Martin Vantage, a Mercedes S-Class W221, and a Range Rover Autobiography among a plethora of others.

    © InstagramAlwaysRamCharan
Now, he has taken possession of a Mercedes Maybach GLS 600, the new ‘It’ car for celebrities and actors.

    © Mercedes-Benz
Well, Ranveer Singh was the first to kick things off, before Arjun Kapoor bought one, and very recently, Kriti Sanon. All of them paid a cool Rs 2.76 Crore for their cars (on-road Mumbai).

Given that Ram Charan is a proper petrolhead, and has had some of his other cars tuned and customised, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he has had his Maybach GLS 600 fully customised as well. Apparently, it has a different set of alloy wheels, different front grills (yes, plural, the GLS 600 has two sets of grills), customised leather interiors, including the seats which bear his initials, and custom mood lighting inside the cabin.
    © Twitter/ManobalaV
These are just some of the customisations that have been done to the car. What we do know for sure is that the drivetrain and driving mechanics, such as the engine, gearbox and suspension set up is stock. And yes, it does get an upgrade on the brakes, reportedly.

    © Twitter/ManobalaV
All in all, Ram Charan reportedly spent over Rs 4 crore on the car. That means the customisations by themselves would have cost him over Rs 1.24 Crore, if not more. For that much one can easily buy a top-rated Mercedes S-Class with all the bells and whistles one can imagine.

#RamCharan is the proud owner of India's 1st #Mercedes Maybach GLS600 customized version.

The edition is priced around ₹4 cr.#ManOfMassesRamCharan pic.twitter.com/NlCQyj4rRa

But then, that is the car culture down south, especially in cities like Hyderabad and Bengaluru, where people modify the living hell out of their cars.

Ram Charan’s new ride is dope, there’s simply no other word for it. The fact that he got his car customised from Mercedes themselves and went all out on it, just goes on to show how much he appreciates cars.

After her recent exit from the Bigg Boss OTT house, actress Akshara Singh  shared her journey so far in an exclusive interview with Times Of India. There was a time where she had switched to making music due to a lack of acting opportunities. However, her stint on Bigg Boss OTT seems to have finally made her a popular figure in Indian households.
    View this post on Instagram
Despite the glamour and sparkle of the entertainment industry, Akshara has had to navigate her life through some seriously dangerous times. In fact, Akshara Singh revealed that a disgruntled ex from her past had hired thugs to throw acid on her, “I was chased by a few boys with acid bottles in their hand. They were running behind me. People who do drugs on the streets were sent after me. I just pray to god that no female has to go through what I’ve suffered in my life.”

Detailing the horrific experience from her past, Akshara Singh added, “I was getting so many threats that he would kill me or destroy my career but after my father’s conversation with me I gained so much strength that I stopped caring about anything. I did not even fear for my life. I had faced so many things by then ki maut ka khauff he khatam hogaya tha (I wasn’t afraid of death anymore). I felt kya karoge maroge he na… chalo maar lo (You want to kill me right? So go ahead and kill me). My ex sent a few boys with acid bottles in their hand(s) and also tried to destroy my career."
She credits her family’s unwavering support behind her resilience, “My parents supported me a lot during that phase. From the place I come, usually parents don’t support their girls to join the entertainment industry. And on top of that if something like this (troubled relationship) happens, they just boycott their girls. But I feel I am very lucky that my parents supported me and did not throw me out of the house. I was living a very humiliated life and so was my family. I would sense that they were feeling terrible but they never made me realise that. They stood by me like my pillar of strength. I remember my father telling me something when I was going through depression. Those words of his gave me so much strength that till today it has stayed with me as motivation.”

It’s astounding that even in this day and age women are being threatened with such violence. As a society, we need to take a look at ourselves and hold people accountable so that such instances come with strict consequences.

Kangana Ranaut is not just called the ‘queen’ of B-town for nothing. The actress never believes in mincing her words and chopping her opinions, no matter whatever the reason is. Her emotions have always poured unfiltered and as a repercussion of sharing too much on social media and getting into a lot of keyboard fights with people on Twitter. Well, she even got banned before joining Instagram and Koo.

Recently she appeared on Kapil Sharma’s talk show for promoting Thalaivii and as usual, it was entertaining to the core. Kapil jokingly reminded her that when she last appeared on his show back in 2017, she proclaimed that people on Twitter are ‘vella’ and end up landing in controversies due to that.
Laughing at her own irony, she said she still believes the same and was herself in a situation like that. “Yeh baat hai toh sach hai. Jab corona nahi tha, acchi khaasi busy thi main. Jab corona hua, aisi velli hui main (This is true though. When there was no corona, I was quite busy. When corona arrived, I became so idle),” she said. Owing to her controversial tweets, numerous cases were filed on her in six months.

She was then quizzed on who she’d unfollow on social media, if need be. She thought for a second and took her sister’s name. “I’ll unfollow Rangoli, to avoid further controversy”, she joked. Her act in Thalaivii is winning her major accolades all over the country right now.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is the richest cricket board in the world and its financial prowess has gone to a whole new level in the last decade or so, with the Indian Premier League (IPL) playing a major role.
Since its inception in 2008, the IPL has generated a major chunk of BCCI’s revenue and filled its coffers more than they had initially imagined.
That’s the reason why the BCCI scales up its efforts every year and does everything to make this event the best cricket tournament on the planet. With money not being a matter of concern, the board ensures that every element going into the event is of top-notch quality.
    © Twitter IPL
The Indian board, recently, did something that is enough to explain how important the IPL is to them. The BCCI has reportedly hired three Decision Review System (DRS) crews to operate during the IPL by paying them four times more than what they were being offered by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Pakistan is currently hosting New Zealand for a limited-overs series comprising three ODIs and five T20Is, starting September 17.
However, several top players like Kane Williamson, Tim Southee, Kyle Jamieson have opted out of the tour and have instead decided to feature in the second half of IPL 2021 that is set to begin in the UAE on September 19.
    © Reuters
Apart from pulling up the Blackcaps' top talent, the IPL has also left the PCB without the DRS for their home series. The PCB’s inability to hire a DRS crew for their much-anticipated home series has left their fans pissed.

Joining the bandwagon, Indian fans mocked Pakistan’s sorry state and joked that they should launch a crowdfunding campaign and collect money in order to afford the DRS.
So basically they're playing village cricket.
    — James Thomas (@Nick_James66) September 11, 2021Imran khan told me to bring back pakistan cricket to 90s, where we were so aggressive. So I decided to not use DRS because there was no DRS in 90s, Says #rameezraja#PAKvNZ
    — Ahmad Fawad Khan (@Ahhmad_Fawad) September 11, 2021Pakistan vs newzealand ODIs will not be the part of ODI world league because of non availability of DRS is the most ridiculous thing today to hear. Wtf Pakistan management doing. Who throws away home series like that. #NewZealand#PAKvNZ

    — Shivam (@shivamRajput_18) September 11, 2021Haha partcice match
    — Kavin (@Kavin4103) September 11, 2021If this embarrassment was not more, Pakistan, who were hoping to earn some crucial ODI Super League points in front of their home crowd, were dealt with another blow as the three-match ODI series lost its ICC ODI Super League status.
Just in: The #PAKvNZ ODI series, slated to begin next week, will not be a part of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League's fixtures due to the non-availability of DRS
    — ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) September 11, 2021
With technology not being a part of the series, the Kiwis were completely against it being a part of World Cup qualification. The series will now be played as a standalone bilateral series and there will be no ODI World Cup qualification points up for grabs.

Controversy could easily be the middle name of every person in the Bollywood film industry, more so the actors and actresses, who are often judged and kept a close eye on by the fans.
From their choice of clothes to their choice of films, everything is scrutinised and most times, it isn’t in a great light.
One such actress who was type-caste as soon as she entered the industry was the actress Mallika Sherawat who rose to fame with her hit film Murder.
    © Vishesh Films
The actress recently got candid in an interview and shared that her decision to leave the country for a while came after being bullied by a certain section of the media and press, that would go ahead and describe her as a ‘fallen woman’.

Sharing her two cents on how she feels that it is only in the past couple of years that people have grown more tolerant and understanding towards Bollywood films and their content, she shared how it wasn’t so when she started out.
    View this post on Instagram
“There was a lot of judgement, that ‘she has no morals’, ‘she is a fallen woman’, ‘look at the kinds of scenes she does, she wears a bikini, kisses on screen’. But it’s all a part of the experience, and I’m really happy that there has been a lot of growth in society. People have become more tolerant. Today frontal nudity is no big deal…,” Sherawat said.
She then went on to disclose that, “A certain section of the media was very… They bullied me and harassed me. And that really bothered me, because… And most of them were women. Men have never had problems with me. Men have always appreciated me. And I couldn’t understand why these women are so against me, and so nasty to me. And that made me leave the country for a while because I wanted a break. But today they are more accepting of me, and they are more loving, which I’m really enjoying.”
In fact, only recently the actress shared how a critic in the industry once compared her to a pornstar. She shared, “There was one critic who compared me to a pornstar and said Mallika is a pornstar. I don't have anything against them, it is not a judgement on them(the porn industry). But this is what the critics were writing, this is the low level they dropped into."

The actress is now set to make her comeback with MX Players’s original series Nakaab where she will be seen playing the role of the dominating and power-hungry ‘Zohar Mehta’.

“Hey, everybody lies on their resumes, okay?”
That’s what Joey Tribianni said on Friends, who in another episode also said, “You say yes to everything in an audition and figure out how to do it later.” That was one of the biggest life lessons we ever got from the amazing show.
Although it can land us in trouble, sometimes, it can also land us our dream job. So, what’s the harm, right?
    © NBC
Sometimes, it’s okay to lie on your resume and your interview about a skill or expertise you think you can later learn and excel in, if it means you can land a job.

I mean, we all have lied about having “hands-on knowledge” of advanced Excel or boasted about being fluent in a language that we took four classes of or winning an interstate competition in school. Admit it.
    © Vinod Chopra Films
Well, some people on Reddit confessed to how they not only beautified their resume but also bagged the job because of it.

The conversation began after someone asked, “People who lied in their resume and actually got the job they were unqualified for, what ended up happening?”
    © N C Sippy
Here are some of the best stories of people for whom lying on the resume worked in their favour. Take a look:

    © iStock
    1. Annexure A: Grades Don’t Measure Anything"This was back in early 90's. Changed my GPA/grades to get to the minimum required on interim transcript. Got the job. Launched my career. 100% worth it. 0% regrets."
    2. Who Else Ignored Excel In School?"Said I could do pivot tables. Had a very basic knowledge of Excel. Got the job and literally never had to do a pivot table. Picked up a lot just by playing around with Excel too."
    3. Class Of 2020 Who Graduated From ‘Google University’ Can Relate"Lied my way into my first IT job and Googled everything. I now manage an IT company and am the senior technician."
    © iStock
    4. Learn What You Lied About By The Time They Figure Out You Lied"I said I was proficient in software I had never used before. When I got asked for an interview, I learned enough to BS my way through. When I got the job, I spent the next two weeks learning the shit out of that software. 6 years of using it all day every day, and training other people how to use it, I'd say I did pretty good."
    5. Joey Did It Before It Was Cool"I got an insultingly small raise for speaking a second language, and since none of my bosses spoke Spanish, they never figured out that my skill level was comparable to that of a toddler. All of our Hispanic customers found it adorable."
    © NBC
This is literal proof that all you need to be successful in life is no skill or training or expertise but unwavering confidence.

The confidence to lie through your teeth and the confidence in yourself that you will do well in your job despite lacking the requirement at the time.

The 90s hold a special place in the hearts of our generation. For many it’s a callback to a time when things seemed simpler.

Even our films dependably featured the handsome mugs of 3 iconic actors. It was the time when the Khans of Bollywood ruled the roost. The three Khans as they’re colloquially referred to ended up giving us some of our most memorable cinematic moments with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Andaz Apna Apna among others.
Together, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan dominated the entire Hindi film industry, enjoying a monopoly that hasn’t been seen in Bollywood since their halcyon days.
However, they might not exactly be the Titans today that they once were, having had the sheen wear off their Midas touch with the lesser successes of their most recent releases. Shah Rukh Khan’s last release, Zero, tanked at the box-office. Salman Khan’s previous releases, Radhe, Dabanng 3 and Bharat can barely be considered hits, despite his devoted fans’ attempts. Even the eternal perfectionist Aamir Khan had to eat a slice of the humble pie after the colossal failure of his last release, Thugs of Hindostan.
Unsurprisingly, they’re still some of the most in-demand actors in the industry. It seems as if they’re working hard to break the jinx. Despite the pandemic that gravely impacted film industries across the globe, Bollywood biggies Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan have kept themselves busy with new projects.
Who’s The Busiest Khan Out There? Aamir Khan © Instagram/Aamir Khan
As mentioned earlier, Aamir Khan's last Hindi film, Thugs Of Hindostan (2018), failed to impress at the box-office. In 2021, the actor could be seen shaking a leg in ‘Har Funn Maula’, a song from Kunal Kapoor and Amyra Dastur’s latest release Koi Jaane Na.

Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha is expected to release in December 2021. The film pairs Aamir Khan with his 3 Idiots co-star Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Sallu Bhai’s Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai may have satiated fans who had been dying to see Salman Khan back on the silver screen, but the film received a measly 1.8/10 on IMDB. Most recently, the actor had been spotted with co-star Katrina Kaif in Russia, shooting for Tiger 3.
There’s also Antim: The Final Truth which will feature Salman Khan alongside his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma. The 15th season of Bigg Boss will see Salman Khan take over hosting duties yet again. There have also been rumors that Salman Khan would be seen in Pathan, albeit in a brief cameo appearance.
Shah Rukh Khan View this post on Instagram
It’s been a while since we saw Shah Rukh Khan in a film. His last outing was Aanand L Rai’s Zero in 2018, an unexpected flop from the King of Hearts. The actor however has kept himself busy producing several OTT projects under his Red Chillies Entertainment banner.
Pathan will see Shah Rukh Khan alongside Om Shanti Om co-star Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham. He’s also been rumored to be a part of a project with director Atlee.

Priyanka Chopra is currently at the peak of her career. The global star's recent Hollywood movie The Matrix: Resurrections trailer has created a buzz everywhere. She also has a couple of other projects in her kitty in Bollywood as well.

Not just that, the versatile actor also published her memoir this year, called Unfinished. Priyanka has undoubtedly become an unstoppable force, and even the novel has become one of the best selling ones in the US and India as well.

In a recent interaction with The Times Of India Literary Festival, Priyanka opened up about her novel and some other aspects of her life, like her marriage and the advice given by her late father.

    © Instagram/Priyanka Chopra Jonas
She also talked about how Nick Jonas 'impacted' her in many ways and was responsible for her calmness.

"He has impacted me in a big way, I have become calmer in life. He is a very calm person, he finds solutions, and he's a diplomat whereas I am a mirchi like that. The one thing that my marriage has definitely taught me, which I guess I didn't feel the need to have, which now I can't live without is having your partner give complete credence and credit to the job that I do, to my work. It is so amazing when I see how Nick (Jonas) accommodates his life or my achievements or my career and where I have to go and what my choices are, how it's so important to him that I win and that was something I didn't realize that I needed."
    © Instagram/Priyanka Chopra Jonas
The couple got married in 2018. However, they didn't know much about each other as they weren't dating for long. She also added, "We both didn't know very much about each other's careers. So, after we got married, we did sort of a 'show and tell'. He showed me his earlier music and work, and I showed him a few of my movies, but Nick (Jonas) loves 'Dil Dhadakne Do'. He has watched it multiple times."

She also said she is grateful that she married someone from the same profession who gets creative ideas. She added, "I have learned from Nick a lot. He's an amazingly talented, creative person and we bounce a lot of our work off of each other."

    © Instagram/Priyanka Chopra Jonas
As for the memoir, she said it wasn't easy writing it, describing it as an 'exhilarating and exhausting' experience.

She also spoke about not revealing people's identities in the novel. She said, "It is no one else's story but mine. It says Priyanka's Memoir, right, so my story. It's actually really funny. I read a few reviews that said that 'oh it wasn't, she didn't speak the truth about things like that.' I was like, 'oh, so basically you wanted a gossip brag in my book. You wanted it to be a tell-all.' I'm not Stardust."
    © Instagram/Priyanka Chopra Jonas
When the actress ventured into Bollywood, she opened up about some unexpected events from her life. A director had asked her to get a 'boob job' and some more cosmetic surgeries to begin her career as an actor.

“After a few minutes of small talk, the director/producer told me to stand up and twirl for him. I did. He stared at me long and hard, assessing me, and then suggested that I get a boob job, fix my jaw, and add a little more cushioning to my butt. If I wanted to be an actress, he said, I’d need to have my proportions ‘fixed’, and he knew a great doctor in LA he could send me to. My then-manager voiced his agreement with the assessment,” the excerpt read, according to The Independent.
    © Instagram/Priyanka Chopra Jonas
Her father's advice to her was 'Be like water', which is also a part of the book. On this said, "It's such a beautiful thought, right? I was about five years old, and my dad and mom both were in the military. So we used to move every two years. And when I had to leave my best friend or my school, I was really upset and I would start crying and say, 'I have to move again I don't want to go'."

Priyanka has also played negative roles in her life and said that she enjoys picking such characters. She said, "I guess people like me as a bad girl. Do I see myself as a bad girl, sometimes! Everyone is good and bad sometimes."

Yet another Bollywood eye candy broke millions of hearts and went off the market after Commando movie star Vidyut Jamwal announced his engagement to designer Nandita Mahtani.
The duo, that had been rumoured to be dating for a while now, travelled to Agra and apparently, pulled off the biggest and happiest stunt of their lives.
In an Instagram post that read the caption as, “Did it the COMMANDO way” the to-be happy couple was seen posing for the camera in one of the most unique ways.
    View this post on Instagram
As the caption explains, even the engagement proposal was done in a way that fits best with actor Vidyut Jamwal’s  reputation of being a daredevil.
Both Vidyut and Nandita were seen rappelling down a 150 meters high wall at a military camp near Agra where the actor asked Nandita’s hand for marriage.
As a response to Vidyut’s cheeky proposal and caption, the stylist and designer posted the same picture on her own Instagram account with a caption that was just as sassy as that of Vidyut’s.
She wrote, “Couldn’t keep him hanging any longer…said yes.”
    © Vidyut Jamwal
Nandita could also be spotted wearing a big and blinding rock on her finger, looking as happy and radiant as ever.

Meanwhile, fans of the Commando actor  are rejoicing at the news of the happy couple whereas quite a few girls feel heartbroken at Vidyut being engaged.
Actress Neha Dhupia wrote, “Best news ever … congratulations … @mevidyutjammwal @nanditamahtani," while Sophie Chaudhary commented, “Yay yay… so much love to you both. Love you Nands @nanditamahtani. Well done @mevidyutjammwal.” Former actress Tanishaa Mukerjee also wrote, “Yay! Congratulations nandiii!!!”
    © Vidyut Jamwal
This is also the first time the couple confirmed the news of dating each other, for they were always rumoured to be together but had never admitted so in front of the camera.

Of course there had been some social media PDA where Nandita congratulated Vidyut for his upcoming project and Vidyut responded by called Nandita “Nandi baby.”
The actor was last seen in the movie The Power alongside actors like Shruti Hassan, Salil Ankola and Yuvika Chadhary.
