Ammy Virk’s Punjabi song Qismat became such a stupendous hit that a whole movie was made to cash in the moolah and the rage that followed its success. The movie Qismat, which released around three years ago, ended up being an even bigger success and with its album breaking records, it was inevitable that the fans wanted a sequel and demanded a happy ending for the leading pair after the first one ends in a major pool of catharsis.

Following up with millions of requests, the makers are back with the second part and the trailer has only raised the expectations of fans.

The trailer looks like the lovers will meet, only to be separated once again. In the second half, it seems like Sargun’s character is married and her partner is hospitalised and her old flame (Ammy Virk) is out there, vying for that smile to return. Sparks may fly again and possibly they will get their ‘happily ever after’. We obviously expect insane music because everyone needs a Jaani-B Praak number to whine and remember that toxic ex, right? Dholna from the previous album continues occupying a special place even now.

Secondly, we expect a very strong story line because sequels are always hard. Thirdly, Sargun and Ammy’s chemistry has already set a bar for fans and hence it must be beautiful yet again. The beauty of Qismat is the fact that owing to the popularity of that song, the movie became a success in the non-Punjabi speaking world as well. The movie is releasing on September 22.
