Anurag KashyapΒ recently celebrated his 49th birthday and had once revealed in an interview that he was initially approached by various bog banners to write scripts for after the success of Satya.Β

The 1998 film was directed by Ram Gopal Varma and starred Chakravarthy, Manoj Bajpayee, and Urmila Matondkar in the lead roles.

Anurag Kashyap had revealed that several big producers including Karan Johar had approached him with offers for writing a movie that later made a crazy box-office collection. He expressed that Kal Ho Naa Ho was one of the films he was approached to write the script for.Β

In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Anurag said, β€œI too got the big offers after Satya. Karan Johar asked me to script Kal Ho Naa Ho, I was asked to write Tere Naam, Jism. I refused. I refused Kal Ho Naa Ho because Karan Johar is the king of romance and I'm a realist. I didn't want to have problems after taking up a project. It wasn't personal, but Karan didn't take my refusal too well.”

Karan Johar ended up writing the script for Kal Ho Naa Ho on his own. The film was directed by Nikkhil Advani. However, Anurag and Karan later teamed up with Dibakar Banerjee and Zoya Akhtar for Bombay Talkies, and Karan also played a supporting role in Anurag's Bombay Velvet. The film starred Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma as well.Β Β
Anurag's daughter Aaliyah KashyapΒ also took to Instagram and shared a collage of photos to wish him on his birthday. She wrote, β€œHappy birthdayyyy to the coolest old man I know, I love you and miss you papa.”

Kangana RanautΒ is extremely vocal about her opinions on social media and otherwise. She has never shied away from speaking her mind and she always has a disparate point of view from the rest of the world. And this time, if I have to go by her logic, she has asked people to not watch American and English movies as these films are taking over our screens.Β
    Yes, you read that right!Β
In a recent press conference, she has now expressed that people need to discourage watching English movies.Β

IANS quoted her saying, "We need to behave like one nation. We need to stop dividing ourselves like North India or South India. We need to enjoy our own films first, be it Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, or Punjabi.”

Not only this, Kangana also thinks that Hollywood has destroyed the French, Italian, German and other industries by creating a world monopoly in entertainment.Β Β

She said, β€œThis is what they are doing here also… We don’t appreciate each other, and rather see the dubbed versions of Lion King or Jungle Book. But we will not give a dubbed version of a Malayalam film a chance. This will not work in our favour. We must keep our people and our industry our priority. This is the way to make Atmanirbhar Bharat.”
Now, that’s not it. She also revealed her plans of getting into politicsΒ if people want her to.Β

She said, "I am a nationalist and I speak for the country not because I am a politician but as a responsible citizen. And as far as entering politics is concerned, I might need a lot of support from the public but right now I am happy to be an actress. But if tomorrow people like me and support me, then definitely I would love to.”

Ever since the Manchester Test match was cancelledΒ just hours before the toss, the blame game beganΒ and people, without any concrete evidence, started to point fingers as per their own convenience.
India have let English Cricket down !!! But England did let South African Cricket down !!!
    β€” Michael Vaughan (@MichaelVaughan) September 10, 2021
Various reports in English media speculated that the English board wasn’t pleased with India’s head coach Ravi Shastri for attending his book launch eventΒ with several members of the team two days before the fourth Test.

Some reports also claimed that some of the Indian players, despite testing negative for the coronavirus on the eve of the fifth Test, weren't very keen on taking the field and that’s why the match had to be called off.

The BCCI or the ECB both released their respective statements and there was no mention of any of the reasons stated above, which leads to the question whether any of it was actually true or was just lies spread by the English media to tarnish the image of the Indian cricket teamΒ  and portray them as the villian.

Batting legend Sunil GavaskarΒ has slammed the English media for showing the Indian team in a negative light and making them the villain. The β€˜Little Master’ was also not pleased with people blaming Shastri and his book launch event as the main reason for this COVID-19 outbreak in the Indian camp.

Besides Shastri, several other Indian players, including skipper Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara, had also gone to the same eventΒ and none of them tested positive for the virus.

The point is nobody knows how this virus will attack you, hence blaming the book launch event for acting as a superspreader defies all logic and reasoning.

β€œHow do people know, book launch was responsible for this Covid breakout? We know that all the players had tested negative after attending the book launch. The physio who has tested positive, did he attend the book launch? It could have happened anywhere. Why are we only targeting the book launch, I can’t understand this,” Gavaskar said on Aaj Tak.Β

β€œNone of our players are positive, then what was the issue? And as you are saying that Indian players refused to take the field…. who refused? All these assumptions are based on reports in the English media. They will never write good things about the Indian team and will always make Indians the culprit. All I want to say is, first find out what has happened, only then start pointing fingers.

β€œOur players have worked so hard to take a 2-1 lead in the seriesΒ and why would they not play the last match, especially in Manchester where conditions would have worked helped their bowlers and given them the opportunity to win the series 3-1. So, I am not ready to believe that Indian players refused to step on the field. If these reports are indeed true then BCCI should have mentioned it in their statement. Unless we have an official confirmation, I would request you not to say these things to anyone,” he added.

Gavaskar was also pissed with the fact that people in India were buying the lies that the English media was feeding them and were targeting their own team and players on social media, without knowing the whole truth.
