    You know how vacations are meant for letting go of that bodily stress and that mental stress of yours as you drown your sorrows and look for new found joy in delectable food, warm company and some wonderful change of scenery. Bonus, if you’re vacationing in Italy then the gelatos, the cheesy pizzas and the insane cuisine is bound to push your body weight.
    While it's natural for the common folk to go shirtless with what we call a ‘dad bod’ and women to wear bikinis while they soak in the sun, somehow the celebrities never escape the public eye and hence anything different about them falls under strict scrutiny.     While social media does allow keyboard warriors to just pelt out anything they desire, it is imperative that we let celebs be the human beings they are supposed to be.  Calling an action hero a satellite dish, or a whale is uncool and let's face it, no one said he’s supposed to look like a Greek God all his life. The actor is vacationing in Italy with his family and is in talks for the next instalment of Fast & Furious series as well.

    Bro code is the ultimate rulebook that men abide by, at all cost, in all circumstances. These are just unspoken rules of friendship between men that need no orientation or legal signatures. Just mutual understanding and trust would suffice.

    There are a number of movies on bromance where the characters have given us pure friendship goals and set an example of how to follow the bro subculture. However, there have also been bros who, intentionally or unintentionally, broke the bro code and ended up hurting their bros.

    Here are five Bollywood movies based on ‘bromance’ where the characters did the unthinkable and broke the sacred oath between bros:

    1. Kai Po Che!

    The film is about the friendship between the three young, ambitious men in tough times who stick together through thick and thin, and it just screams pure bromance goals. 

    However, one of them breaks the ultimate bro code by dating his bro’s sister.

    Govi falls for Ishaan’s sister Vidya, even after being warned by Omi about how protective he is of his sister. It kind of reminds us of when Chandler starts dating Monica without Ross’s knowledge. 

    Ishaan finds out and thrashes him, obviously. He was not using rage controlling pills like Ross!   
    2. Dil Chahta Hai

    This film is practically a Bible for male friendship, but all we have learnt about bro code is from the three buddies Sameer, Akash and Sid. 

    However, they too break some 'bromandments' like when Akash makes a derogatory comment on Sid’s girlfriend Tara and her age and Sid slaps him for it. 
    The bro code allows bros to give an honest opinion about the girl they are dating but his remark nearly ruined their friendship.

    Also, although a prank, Akash basically ends Sameer’s relationship by lying to Priya. Real bros save their friend even if they are not with them when their girl calls, while he just threw him under the bus for nothing. 

    3. Gunday

    Falling for your bro’s girl is one thing and actually trying to snatch her from him is nothing but a criminal offence, as per the IBC (international bro code, yes I just made it up). 

    Bikram and Bala are inseparable since childhood and each other is all they have, until Nandita shows up and they both fall for her.

    But to get her, Bala shoots his bro (thinking he betrayed him) and even kidnaps his girl. That's an epic bro-code breach.    

    4. Main Khiladi Tu Anari

    The ultimate bromance movie with the most sought-after duo Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, this action-packed film (that has the tagline ‘Together They Are A Blast’ BTW) breaks many bro codes. 

    For starters, Deepak (Saif) falls for Karan’s (Akshay) sister. But Karan is no less. He goes above and beyond to get rid of him. He plots a whole fake crime scene where he convinces Deepak that he has killed a cop and should leave the country.

    That’s a bit too much to break his relationship with his sister, no? So, basically, both characters break the bro code.    

    5. Mere Brother Ki Dulhan

    The bro code is even stronger when you are brothers from the same mother but here, Kush fails miserably. 

    While looking for a partner for his bro, Luv after he has a bad breakup, he finds Dimple and falls for her. 
    Not only this, he betrays his bro and tries to get him back with his ex just so he can get his ‘brother ki dulhan’ instead. 
    Really, Kush?

    The series finale of an enthralling five-Test series between India and England was called off over COVID-19 fears. With everything to play for, neither hosts nor the visitors wanted the series to end the way it did, but it’s the sad reality of the times we are living in. 
    Following ongoing conversations with the BCCI, the ECB can confirm that the fifth LV= Insurance Test at Emirates Old Trafford, due to start today, will be cancelled.

    One coronavirus case led to another and the Indian players, worried about further spike, decided not to take the field, despite returning negative tests. In the end, prioritising players’ safety, both the boards mutually decided to cancel the match. 
    While fans have every right to be disappointed, don’t forget, for players coming to this decision was equally difficult. After all, they fought hard throughout the series and would have loved to return home with a trophy hand, but circumstances were such that they had no other choice. 
    The total lack of respect shown to the Cricketing fan that had travelled hundreds miles today to see the Test today is an utter disgrace .. Surely this could have been dealt with yesterday !!!! Even then I wouldn’t have agreed with it … #ENGvIND

    Throughout the series, the ECB failed to ensure tight security at the venues. In an unprecedented event we saw the same idiot 'Jarvo 69' making a mockery of their security arrangements, if there was any, at three different venues and he still had the audacity to blame India for letting England down. 
    Meanwhile, the BCCI has announced that it would work closely with the ECB in order to find a suitable window to reschedule the Test and complete the series. 
    Update: The BCCI and ECB held several rounds of discussion to find a way to play the match, however, the outbreak of Covid-19 in the Indian team contingent forced the decision of calling off the Old Trafford Test.

    “In lieu of the strong relationship between BCCI and ECB, the BCCI has offered to ECB a rescheduling of the cancelled Test match. Both the Boards will work towards finding a window to reschedule this Test match,” the BCCI said in a media release.

    The ECB chief executive Tom Harrison, however, has confirmed that the rescheduled game will be a one-off match rather than the continuation of the same series. There is still no official decision on the outcome of this series. 
    If the ICC agrees to consider it as a four-test series, India would emerge as winners since they have a 2-1 lead and if they declare the fifth Test as forfeit, India will have to share the spoils.

    The Indian team is scheduled to tour England for a limited-overs series, comprising  three ODIs and as many T20Is, in July 2022 and there are high chances that both the boards would try and organise the remaining Test as a stand-alone game.

    If you think a toxic partner has taught you what invading private and personal space feels like, think again.
    In my experience, having Indian parents is all that one needs to understand what it is like to have certain boundaries crossed and how. Especially if you’re working from home.
    You see, almost a year and a half ago when I was put on an indefinite ‘WFH’  policy, I was ecstatic beyond imagination. All I could think of was sleeping an hour extra, working out my PJs and lounging while I sent daily emails and even taking power naps between calls.

    Except what really followed were taunts from my parents who didn’t just not grasp the concept of how ‘work from home’ works but also didn’t take it seriously enough.  
    From asking me to pick up chores around the house while I am still working to sitting next to me during a zoom call just to gossip because I “seem” free, it has been a tough year.  
    And turns out, I may have not been the only one struggling with this during this lockdown.

    The fifth and the final Test between India and England was cancelled as the visitors were unable to field a team as they were afraid it could lead to a further increase in COVID-19 cases inside the camp.
    India’s assistant physio Yogesh Parmar had tested positive for the coronavirus on Wednesday and it created a panic within the Indian contingent, leading to uncertainty over the future of the series finale in Manchester.

    Reports emerged that the match would go on as per the original schedule after all the Indian players returned negative tests on Thursday night. However, with hours left to the start of the match, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) released a statement, informing that the match has been cancelled.

    Following ongoing conversations with the BCCI, the ECB can confirm that the fifth LV= Insurance Test at Emirates Old Trafford, due to start today, will be cancelled.

     "Due to fears of a further increase in the number of COVID cases inside the camp, India are regrettably unable to field a team. We send our sincere apologies to fans and partners for this news, which we know will cause immense disappointment and inconvenience to many,” it stated," the ECB said in a statement. 
    After registering a remarkable come-from-behind win at the Oval, India had taken a 2-1 unassailable lead and had a golden opportunity to win their first Test series on English soil since 2007.

    The cancellation was a huge blow for Indian fans who wanted to see their team bring the Pataudi Trophy back home after over a decade. They couldn’t understand why the match was called off despite players testing negative for COVID-19 and it led to a blame game.

    A majority of them bashed head coach Ravi Shastri for organising his book launch event in London last week. The event was attended by several senior members of the Indian team, including skipper Virat Kohli.

    According to a TOI report, the BCCI was also livid with the head coach and the captain and has even started a probe into the whole matter that has left them embarrassed in front of their counterparts. 

    The bio-secure bubble in England wasn’t that rigid as players were allowed to go out. However, they were advised to avoid getting in crowded areas and attending large public gatherings.  
    By attending a private event and being the senior-most members of the side, we expected Shastri and Kohli to act responsible but they certainly failed to do that.
