    Arjun Kapoor has been in news for adding one more luxury wheel to his garage. The actor has reportedly invested in a Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4Matic SUV. A picture of the actor with his new car has surfaced online. As per reports, the car is worth Rs 2.43 crore. This is the actor's second premium SUV purchase this year after Land Rover Defender 110 in April this year.

    Well, Arjun is no stranger to trolls and with time, he has learnt the art of handling these mean messages.
    Talking about trolls making personal attacks, Arjun had earlier told Pinkvilla, “Imagine what you put our families through, would you write rubbish for the sake of fun and there are people who write really nasty things especially about women and I have read that. I’m still a guy and I have faced flak for just my physicality and just for being alive and even being somebody’s son.”
    “Main kya karun apni shakal badal dun, apna naam badal dun (what should I do, should I change my name and appearance), should I feel sorry for who I am? We get taken for granted for more and that’s so sad and unfortunate but I hope it improves,” he added.
    On the professional front, he will be seen in Bhoot Police alongside Saif Ali Khan. The film will trace the story of a group of ghost hunters and their hilarious adventures.
    Bhoot Police is now set to release on September 10, 2021, a week earlier than the previous release date.

    While for players like Rahul Chahar and Varun Chakravarthy it was a moment of pure delight when they were named in India’s 15-man squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup, it was a huge shock for more experienced players like Yuzvendra Chahal and Shreyas Iyer, who were both left out of the initial squad.
    While Iyer’s omission was still understood as he hadn’t played much cricket in the last few months due to injury, it was Chahal’s exclusion that left most fans and cricket experts in a state of shock as no one saw it coming.

    In fact, most cricket pundits thought he would not only make the squad but will be India’s first-choice spinner going into the tournament. 

    What made the decision even more shocking was the fact Chahal, who most people thought would lead India's spin attack in the tournament, couldn’t find a spot on the squad that had five spinners in it. 
    Leaving a player of his calibre out, it was only natural that questions were asked as to why he was dropped. 
    Former India fast bowler Chetan Sharma, who is the chairman of the five-member senior selection panel, said that Chahal’s name came up for discussion during the meeting but they eventually, went in with Rahul Chahar because they thought his skills would make him more potent on the spin-friendly tracks in the UAE.

    “Yuzvendra Chahal’s name was discussed. But we picked Rahul Chahar over Yuzi as we wanted someone who bowls fast and gets pace off the pitch. He also gets the ball to grip through the surface,” said Chetan Sharma, when asked about Chahal’s omission.

    No matter how passionate the fans are, they can still understand the reason why a decision was made but it’s never easy for the player and his family members, who always want to see their loved one representing the country in a big tournament like the World Cup.

    After the squad was announced, the leg-spinner’s wife Dhanashree Verma Chahal shared a cryptic message in Hindi on her Instagram story, mentioning words like “talent” and “good deeds”.  
    While she didn't mention anything clearly, fans were quite confident that her message was in response to her husband’s snub from the T20 World Cup squad.

    “Maa Kehti hai ki ye Waqt bhee guzar jana hai. Sar Utha ke jiyo kyuiki Hunar aur ache karm hamesha sath dete hai. Toh ji baat aisi hai ki yeh waqt bhi Guzar jaana hai. God is always great,” read one of Dhanashree’s Instagram stories. 

    Not just Chahal and his family, his omission was the biggest shock for many fans and experts alike, including Aakash Chopra, who couldn’t believe that the selectors left their No. 1 T20 spinner out of the squad altogether.  

    “I am actually shocked. I took it for granted that Yuzvendra Chahal would be there as he’s your No.1 T20 spinner. He’s probably the second-best T20 leg-spinner in the world after Rashid Khan,” the former India opener said in an ESPNCricinfo show. 
    “You picked five spinners and there’s no Chahal. That’s not surprising. It’s shocking. Five spinners in a squad is a luxury and you don’t need that many spin bowlers in a tournament,” he added.

    Meanwhile, Chahal has landed in the UAE to take part in the second half of the Indian Premier League 2021 and all is not lost for him yet. The teams have until October 10 to make changes into the squad and if he performs well for RCB, he could very well force the selectors to reconsider their decision.

    The 2005 release that was termed ‘progressive’ when it hit the screens, this Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta starrer movie was anything but that. In fact, in simple words, one can call it a rather regressive film, one that ends up feeding into sexism and misogyny.

    From the first few minutes of the movie, the plot becomes rather obvious - a journey of two people who can’t stand each other to two people who can’t stay away from each other. But because this one was supposed to break stereotypes, a lot of progressive shit was forced into the script - like live-in relationships. But we’ll get to that in some time.

    Nick, who from the get-go is shown as a typical irresponsible man-child, gets off the wrong foot with Ambar after having missed being on her show on time. They get to a horrible start, but bump into each other at a wedding where Ambar is a bridesmaid and Nick is catering.

    Both their best friends (Cathy and Ron) fall in love with each other and meanwhile, Ambar and Nick start developing an equation of their own. The expected happens - love, and then as per the orthodox Indian audience, the unexpected happens as well - a live-in.

    One would call this the turning point in the movie. But in reality, it was a point when Nick’s inherent sexism  and ‘men will be men’ mentality hit the roof. Why? Because neither does he not want the child, but also feels absolutely zero emotional responsibility towards Ambar while she struggles with the dilemma of aborting the kid.

    I kid you not (pun not intended), there is one conversation in the film where Nick straight up suggests to ‘kill’ the baby growing inside of Ambar, only to be corrected by her who reminds him that the word is ‘abort’.

    Most of Ambar’s pregnancy is spent struggling alone and the only other addition that Nick makes to it, besides his sperm, is to go for a blood test which too is apparently a big deal because the guy hates the sight of blood. Oh, the sacrifice!

    Sooner or later, Nick realises how the ‘N’ in his name might as well be replaced with a ‘D’, because that is exactly what he has been to Ambar.

    After almost half her pregnancy, he finally starts showing some effort...by getting her ice cream. The guy really was aiming for gold in being the best father-to-be.

    All this, only to be butt-hurt again when he sees her trying on rings with her friend Jignesh. And perhaps that is all it takes for Nick to go back to being his selfish, a**hole self as he oscillates back to his basic instinct of being a f**kboi.

    He brings back a woman named Stella home but doesn’t sleep with her. Ambar, obviously, assumes otherwise and gets mighty pissed.

    A lot of drama later, Ambar’s water breaks and the movie proceeds to a disappointing climax at the hospital.

    Stella is the nurse delivering Ambar’s baby, who also tells her how nothing happened between her and Nick (other than him chanting her name all night long), Ambar delivers twins and Nick proposes to her.

    One would think that a woman who was independent, successful and educated would know better than to accept the proposal of a man-child who wasn’t just absent during one of the toughest times of her life but also very sexist, immature and flaky.

    But, nope. She joyously accepts the proposal, glorifying the idea that despite men being total and utter d**ks to women, by literally getting them pregnant and abandoning them, all it takes for a woman to welcome them back is one half-hearted proposal.

    More than exclusions and inclusions, the decision to rope in former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni as Team India’s mentor for the T20 World Cup was the biggest surprise for the fans and many experts believe it could be BCCI’s “masterstroke”.
    The general consensus is that Team India could benefit immensely from Dhoni’s experience both as a batsman and a leader and his valuable insights could help Virat Kohli and his men navigate through tough situations and come out on top.

    During his tenure as Team India captain, the Ranchi-born cricketer won every ICC title that was there to be won.  
    In fact, he is the only captain in the world to win all of ICC’s limited-overs trophies -- T20 World Cup, ODI World Cup and Champions Trophy. However, since then, India have failed to add any more silverware to their kitty, despite dominating in the league stage of the tournament.

    — ICC (@ICC) June 23, 2021 Even the batting great Sunil Gavaskar feels that Dhoni's presence in the dressing room would boost the confidence of the Indian players to a whole new level and this move could benefit India a great deal if things work out well between Dhoni and head coach Ravi Shastri.
    At the same time, the ‘Little Master’ also said that the move could backfire if Dhoni and Shastri are not on the same wavelength over issues like tactics and team selection.

    Dhoni and Kohli share great camaraderie and they both have great mutual respect for each other, but the 72-year-old legend didn’t rule out a possibility of a clash between Shastri and the CSK skipper that could possibly spoil the whole atmosphere in the team.

    Gavaskar said that he was in a similar position back in 2004 when he was appointed as team consultant and it made the then head coach John Wright insecure about his position in the team.

    “If I tell you about my own experience, I was roped in as a consultant back in 2004. The role was similar to what we today know as mentor. So, at the time (head coach) John Wright was a bit nervous, he probably thought I was going to take his place. But Ravi Shastri knows that MS Dhoni has very little interest in coaching. Ravi Shastri and MS Dhoni, if the partnership goes well, India will benefit a great deal from it,” Gavaskar told Sports Tak.

    “But if there are disagreements over tactics and team selection, then there might be a bit of an effect on the team. But MS Dhoni's appointment itself will be a big boost for Team India. He has so much experience, he knows everything. There was no bigger, destructive player than MS Dhoni when he was active in international cricket.

    On one hand, the whole country is delighted with the fact that Dhoni is back with the Indian team once again and his experience would make the side even more firm favourites to win an ICC trophy that has eluded them since 2013 and on the other hand, we have Gavaskar speculating about a potential clash.

    From skipper Virat Kohli to head coach Ravi Shastri to vice-captain Rohit Sharma, the BCCI consulted every senior member and made the announcement only after all of them gave their green signal. 
    Just because his appointment made the then head coach insecure about his job, assuming that the same thing would happen to Dhoni is completely absurd. 
    Gavaskar’s statement that there could be a potential clash of egos between two alpha males was completely unwarranted and he should’ve thought twice before giving such remarks, more so because he is such a widely respected name in world cricket.

    Apple is expected to announce the next iPhone on September 14, which happens to be next week. However, days before the launch event, details of the next iPhone i.e. iPhone 14 have already started to surface.

    Jon Prosser/FPT, who has an incredible track record for Apple-related leaks, published a new video today where he shared renders of the iPhone 14. It’s worth pointing out that these are renders and not the official images. However, it seems like Apple is preparing a major design overhaul if Prosser’s claims come true.

    According to the FPT, the iPhone 14 will completely remove the notch and instead use a small punch hole on the display of the phone. However, he went on to add that Apple will not abandon Face ID and instead embed sensors underneath the display. 

    Other design changes include Apple removing the camera bump completely. Renders show that the handset will have a triple camera setup but will be completely flat at the back. The phone will still have the squared-off design as the iPhone 12 series but will instead be made of titanium. From the renders, the next iPhone definitely look impressive but we will have to wait till next year to find out for sure.

    Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 13 next week where the Cupertino giant is looking to release four models. The models include the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 13 series in the following sizes - iPhone 13 Mini: 5.4-inch, iPhone 13: 6.1-inch, iPhone 13 Pro: 6.1-inch, iPhone 13 Pro Max: 6.7-inch. 

    Previous reports also suggest that Apple has managed to reduce the size of the notch for the upcoming iPhones. Other rumoured features include satellite communication capabilities, 120Hz ProMotion Display and camera upgrades. We will know more about the iPhone 13 series at Apple’s press event scheduled for September 14.

    Things are not going well between Shamita Shetty and her co-contestant Raqesh Bapat. Recently, both of them admitted that they have feelings for each other. 

    However, both of them are fighting every day because of Divya Agarwal and Shamita doesn’t like her. Shamita doesn’t like Divya but Raqesh gets along with her. This also keeps on creating a rift between Shamita and Raqesh, and their relationship is affected.

    Realme has announced its first-ever Android tablet in India that comes with a 104-inch display and will be available in both WiFI/LTE variants. The Realme Pad will retail in India starting at Rs 13,999.

    The Realme Pad is powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 gaming processor and features a 10.4-inches WUXGA+ TFT screen. The display has a resolution of 2000×1200 pixels, Dolby Atmos quad speakers, and a 7100mAh mega battery that supports 18W fast charging. The primary camera on the tablet is an 8MP sensor and it even comes with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle front camera. 

    The tablet will be available in Real Grey and Real Gold and will be offered in three storage variants. 3GB+32GB (Wi-Fi)) priced at INR 13,999, 3GB+32GB (Wi-Fi + 4G) priced at INR 15,999, and 4GB+64GB (Wi-Fi + 4G) priced at INR 17,999 respectively.     The Realme Pad is also 6.9 millimetres thin and weighs only 440 grams. The tablet itself uses an aluminium alloy body design with chamfered edges. The tablet has taken obvious inspiration from Apple’s iPad Pro lineup judging by the pictures.

    Whenever an Indian team is announced, the biggest talking point is always about the player selection, with most fans interested in knowing whether any budding talent made it to the squad or if some high-profile players lost their place. 

    However, that wasn’t the case when the Indian squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup was announced. 
    More than the players, everyone was talking about former India skipper MS Dhoni, who will be joining Team India as a mentor for the lucrative tournament.

    Apart from sharing this good news with the Indian fans via a tweet, the BCCI also posted a video where its secretary Jay Shah could be heard making the important announcement.

    Delighted India fans welcomed the decision with open arms and thanked the BCCI for making Dhoni, one of the most successful skippers to have led the country, a part of the squad once again.

    Besides Dhoni’s appointment on a one-off basis and team selection, there was one more thing that caught everybody’s attention. The way Jay Shah made the announcement in English, it reminded many fans of their own struggles during school days. 

    While some people made fun of Shah’s English, others suggested that if he was not comfortable in the language he should have made the announcement in Hindi and saved himself from any embarrassment.

    If you loved Pratik Gandhi’s performance as Harshad Mehta in Scam 1992, there’s good news for all his fans and viewers that he will soon be enticing us with a rock-solid performance in Raavan Leela. The trailer is out and we have fallen in love with Pratik and Aindrita Ray. Going through the rushes of the trailer, it seems to be an interesting take on the mythological demonic king Raavan set against the backdrop of Ram Leela.

    Pratik is so natural on the screen that you get completely convinced that he is the demonic king. A lot has been said about Raavan but in the trailer, we get to see a fresh story wherein Pratik is seen asking that the Lanka King didn’t do any harm to Sita and Lord Rama insulted his sister but he had to pay for it. In the trailer, you also see that Pratik who’s playing Raavan is in love with Sita (played by Aindrita) but that’s not okay with other people.

    People are impressed with Pratik’s act but they also think it can create controversies as it might hurt the sentiments of Hindus. A few people are offended and questioned how Bollywood filmmakers are always making movies that insult the Hindu religion.
