We’re pretty sure that everyone in the world is a fan of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. People have to be really soft in the head to actually hate him or not appreciate his contribution to Indian cricket.

What many people don’t know, is that Dhoni is a huge fan of Tamil cinema, and is a total fanboy of Rajinikanth. He also happens to be a massive fan of Suriya, and Thalapathy Vijay.

The photographs from their meet up went viral on the internet. Fans of Tamil cinema, especially those who follow cricket went berserk at these, and commented on one leader meeting the other.

Vijay was last seen in Master, which also happens to be one of the very few films that released right after the first wave of the pandemic. Master also had Vijay Sethupathi and Malavika Mohanan.
Despite the pandemic, the film drew fans into theatres in large numbers, not only in Tamil Nadu but also in Karnataka and Kerala. Naturally then, Vijay’s fans are eagerly waiting for the completion and release of Beast. Imagine how awesome it would have been if Mahi has a special cameo in the film, wouldn’t it?

Transformations aren't rare in Bollywood, simply because of the fact that actors need to embrace different characters and that involves looking the part. However, there are times when a particular actor goes through a transformation so major and so unlike what they're used to being, that it needs to be lauded. This is what happened when a famous Bollywood actor was spotted by the paps, but it took everyone a while to figure out who that is.

We woke up to people trending ‘Boycott Radhika Apte’ on Twitter and users have been slamming for apparently destroying Indian culture. Yes, you heard it right. They shared one of the scenes from Parched. For the unversed, Parched was released in 2016 in India. But before the film would hit theatres, there was already a buzz due to a leaked n*de scene featuring Radhika Apte and Adil Hussain.
People had the meanest comments to say to her and even landed up saying she has been promoting nudity and obscenity. One of the users wrote, “When it comes to Kathua entire #Bollywood gang was with Placard. Why are these people silent on #RajKundra? The habit of Bollywood to defame degrade our culture #BoycottRadhikaApte.”

Radhika Apte once revealed that Parched‘s leaked scene did impact her. “When a n*de clip of mine leaked, while I was filming Clean Shaven, I was trolled badly, and it did affect me. I couldn’t step out of the house for four days, not because of what the media was saying but because my driver, watchman, and my stylist’s driver recognized me from the images.

They are also linking her to Raj Kundra’s case as she didn’t speak up when she has been vocal about other issues.
Here are the haters who have been bashing her:

But, there are people who gave it back to the haters.

After Krunal Pandya tested positive for coronavirus in Sri Lanka, it almost jeopardised the hard work of each and every individual who was a part of the series.
Despite strict protocols that were put in place to keep players and the support staff members safe, the virus did manage to breach Team India’s bio-secure bubble and infected the Indian all-rounder after the first T20I.
While Krunal had tested positive, eight other players were identified as his close contacts and were immediately isolated from the rest of the teammates.
India, who were already playing with their B-string team, were left without nine players for the remainder of the series.

While nobody knows when and where Krunal contracted the deadly virus, it has now come to the light that there was a serious failure on part of team doctor Abhijit Salvi, who didn’t perform his duty diligently.

After developing COVID-19 symptoms, Krunal brought it to the team doctor’s notice on July 26 but no action was taken and on top of that, he was even allowed to attend the team meeting, putting every other member’s safety at risk.

As per protocol, as soon as Krunal reported the symptoms the team doctor should have arranged for a Rapid Antigen Test but his samples were taken until the next morning (July 27).

“Krunal Pandya, after sensing symptoms like throat pain, had immediately red-flagged team's accompanying doctor on 26th July, but neither a Rapid Antigen Test was done right away nor was Krunal was immediately isolated, news agency PTI quoted a BCCI source as saying.
“Although Rapid Antigen Test is not conclusive but it's the first part of protocol. But I can confirm Krunal, despite throat pain, attended team meeting,” the source added.

With the senior team in the United Kingdom, the BCCI had sent a second-string side to Sri Lanka for a limited-overs series, comprising three ODIs and as many T20Is.

Indian legend Rahul Dravid was the head coach of the side while the team was led by veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan. India managed to win the ODI series 2-1 but lost in the shortest format by the same margin.

Despite the coronavirus case, the series was completed and Sri Lanka Cricket generated a revenue in excess of Rs 107 Crore, which was way more than their own estimate.
A team doctor’s careless approach towards his work puts a question mark on his professionalism and we hope that the BCCI takes the necessary action and makes him accountable.

Everything in the 90s was dope. Be it the music, movies, cartoons and candies, that decade did everything right and if given a chance, we would relive it in a heartbeat. The fashion too was remarkable and still is relevant years later.

    © Maruti International
However, while trends like leather jackets and trainer T-shirts remained trendy and timeless, there were some that were absolute blunders and we wouldn’t want them to make a comeback ever.

These might have been popular back then but now, they are just cringeworthy and a complete no-no for millennial men.
    © Varma Creations
Here are some of the worst fashion fails we saw in 90s Bollywood movies that we never want to see again:

    1. Ganjis  © Twitter/Suniel V Shetty
Bollywood was obsessed with ganjis. Any and every kind of vest--sheer, cropped (yes, I said cropped), coloured or the one which had a scooped neckline down to the navel. It let the men show off their man fur and we are surprised that they thought it looked cool.

    © Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment
We never want to see men stepping out in just their vests again, especially not a mesh or embellished one like Salman wore in Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega.

    2. Dungarees  © Gumeet & Sohail Productions
The official outfit for every man-child, dungarees suited Bollywood men in the 90s who would throw tantrums on being rejected by a girl, but they have no place in today’s world.

Back then, dungarees were a hit among men who wore them not just in denim, but in leather and even pastel colours (think Govinda and Sanjay in yellow and blue dungarees in Haseena Maan Jayegi).
    3. Uggs Shirts © Pooja Films
Govinda’s USP, apart from his killer dance moves and expressions, was his funky printed shirts.

You might also find these shirts in your father's old clothes shoved in a trunk somewhere. This is because they were huge.
However, only one other Indian can pull off till this date and that is Jethalal Gada. If you are not him, consider this your cue to stay away from this fashion fail.
    4. Super Short Shorts © Vinod Chopra Films
Oh my! What was going on with these super short shorts? This clothing item was often teamed with a baggy sweatshirt so that the focus was the hero’s long hairy legs and worn on a beach song sequence or while playing sports in the movie.

Can't imagine most ladies having the hots for men who wear these hot shorts in public now. Sorry, not sorry.
    5. Weird Hats © T-Series
Why was every main actor in every movie wearing some kind of a fugly AF hat in the 90s?

Be it the navel cap or Shah Rukh’s hat in DDLJ or Aamir’s baker boy hat in Rangeela, headgear was definitely a thing.
    © Shemaroo Video Pvt. Ltd.
We can still do with cowboy hats (Mr India) but not these funny flat hats. Whatever the obsession of young lads was with the hats back then, we don’t want this trend to resurrect ever.

Our first glimpse of Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon was probably in an ice cream ad where she apparently gets annoyed at her on-screen boyfriend only to be later won over by being gifted with all kinds of ice creams.

Now, that was kind of really long ago!

The actress has really come a long way since, having done a fair share of films in her career as a Bollywood mainstay.

Recently, however, Kriti has taken a good turn in her career by doing content-driven films that have left the audience impressed with her performances.
So far, she has had a good balance of commercial Bollywood flicks and content-oriented films, a thing which can only be good for her career and also her bank balance.
Her next line-up of films includes Mimi, Hum Do Humare Do, Bachchan Pandey, Bhediya and Adipurush.

Speaking on her good run in Bollywood, Kriti reveals that she is relishing the kind of films she's doing at the moment and does not feel that pressure.

"There is no pressure. I feel excited, motivated, and thrilled because this is what I wanted to do. This is where I wanted to be and when I have reached where I have these kinds of opportunities in front of me,” said Kriti.
The 31-year-old actress, who in 2019, appeared in Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list also said that she loves doing different kinds of characters in films.
“I am doing films which are not similar in any genre or flavour at all. I am getting to play so many different kinds of characters, getting to work with such amazing directors and stories that I would want to be a part of. I don’t think there is anything more than you can ask as an actor and in a stage where you are getting your due and appreciation you crave for as an actor,” she said.
In recent times, Kriti has gone on to become very bankable at the box office with most of her films receiving good reviews both from critics and fans, and the actress says that she is certainly enjoying all of it.
“All the love and validation is the only thing we get in return. Once that starts pouring you feel more satisfied and motivated. I am thrilled and enjoying this beautiful phase and I am looking forward to each and every film I have done.” said Kriti.

Actor Vidya Balan is the real Sherni of Bollywood and often takes a stand against unrealistic expectations set in Bollywood. Recently, she took a stand against unrealistic beauty standards and how people expect women to look in pictures.
She expressed how she doesn’t want to look slimmer than she really is.
The actor’s rules were revealed by photographer Dabboo Ratnani in a recent interview. He revealed that Vidya Balan is comfortable in her own skin.
    View this post on Instagram
Talking to Mid-Day, Dabboo Ratnani said, “I try to achieve the best lighting on the set itself, thus relying as little as possible on the post-treatment of pictures. [Doing so is] all the more important with Vidya because she doesn’t like her images to be re-touched. She is comfortable in her own skin and doesn’t want to be made slimmer for pictures. During magazine shoots, she tells the editorial team that the photos should only be color-corrected and shared, without any re-touching.”
He further added, “Say, if the flooring or the leaves in the background need color correction, we do that. We don’t re-touch her image.”

Vidya has often talked about how she was body-shamed and earlier this year during the promotions for her film Sherni, she also said that her body weight at one point became a ‘national issue.’

She said, “I have had hormonal issues all my life. For the longest time, I hated my body. I thought it had betrayed me. On the days I was under the pressure of looking my best, I would bloat up and I would be so angry and frustrated.”

“I began to love and accept myself a little more each day and therefore, I became more acceptable to people. They began to shower me with love and accolades and appreciation and all of that," she added.
