Indian cricket fans will surely agree that as far as having a dope looking hairstyle is concerned, no one comes close to Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The man is a legend when it comes to trying out new hairstyles. Take his recent fauxhawk as an example.

Well, it seems that Hardik Pandya, the king of bling, as he is often called by people who seriously follow fashion, would like to present himself as a challenger.

    © Instagram/hardikpandya93
Truth be told Pandya has had some really quirky and unusual hairstyles over the years. When we say quirky and unusual, that is usually a euphemism for downright bizarre. Heck, people often label his hairstyles as failures.

This time though, thanks to legendary hairstylist Aalim Hakim, Pandya actually had a much relatable, but dope looking haircut.

Pandya recently visited Hakim’s studio at Versova, Mumbai, for a makeover, and boy oh boy, was he in a for a surprise. He got one of the soberest hairstyles that he has ever sported alright, but nonetheless, it was still quirky and zany.
    © Instagram/hardikpandya93
The hairstyle that we see Pandya donning is a variation of the high fade, with a bit of a spiked quiff thrown in. It looks seriously cool, especially since it actually suits Hardik’s thin, and elongated face.

    © Instagram/hardikpandya93
Apart front the hairstyle, what caught our eye were the dapper accessories that Hardik was wearing. Here we see him wearing a really cool Patek Philippe Nautilus 5980/1AR-001. The watch used to retail for Rs 80 Lakhs when it was available. Now though, it is almost impossible to get your hands on one.

    © Patek Philippe
We also see him wearing a really dope looking pair of sunglasses from Versace. The gold sunglasses apparently cost somewhat around Rs 1.7 Lakhs.

All in all, Hardik’s new haircut is actually something that regular guys like us can go for. Aalim Hakim has been giving some pretty dope looking makeovers to cricketers and Bollywood actors for some time now. It will be interesting to see which actor or cricketer gets a new makeover.

KL Rahul’s innings on Day 1 of the second Test between India and England at the iconic Lord’s cricket ground in London has to be one of the finer performances to have come from the cricketer’s bat in the history of his career.
Starting out slowly while his opening partner, Rohit Sharma did the heavy lifting on the other end of the pitch, Rahul took the command after the Hitman’s dismissal and played at a sensible pace while forming a 117-run partnership with Indian skipper Virat Kohli.

By the time the playing time of Thursday came to an end, an unbeaten Rahul had already created history by becoming the first ever Indian opener since Ravi Shastri to score a century at Lord’s in red-ball cricket.
In a video recently shared by the official Twitter handle of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Rahul could be seen leaving the cricket ground at the end of the first day and into the Team India dressing room.

On his way, he came across the different members of his team including Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant. Head Coach Ravi Shastri also walked up to him to give a pat on his back as Rahul unwinded amidst his boys.
However, there was one very peculiar moment in the video that caught the attention of thousands of Team India fans as soon as they saw it. It was when Rahul entered the Lord’s long hall and his childhood buddy and fellow teammates Mayank Agarwal embraced him in celebration of his sixth Test ton.
Many feel that Agarwal was ecstatic about the his friend’s name getting etched in the prestigious honour board of the stadium:

The allegations of Rohit Sharma commanding “lazy elegance” have surrounded him ever since he wore the Indian cricket team’s jersey for the very first time. Talks about how the batsman is gifted with that “one extra millisecond” had gotten cricket experts analyse and try to break down the way he performs time and again.
However, for the cricketer himself, the term “lazy elegance” makes absolutely no sense and when his former teammate, Dinesh Karthik asked him about his thoughts on it, Sharma did not hold back in ridiculing the idea.

“When you’re playing a sport you cannot be lazy - as simple as that. You know maybe it may sound or it may look on television but if you’re lazy you cannot achieve what you want to achieve on the field. You have to be at it, like I said just now, you have to be ahead of the game and you cannot be ahead of your opposition if you’re lazy," Rohit told Karthik during a Sky Sports interview.
“You can’t hit that pull shot when there are guys bowling 145 plus and all that. You can’t be lazy, you’ll get hit on your head. So I don’t think people understand that. But yeah I mean it's fine, they’ve been talking about this since I started playing for India - ‘oh he’s got lazy elegance’ and I don’t understand this term lazy elegance, there’s nothing called lazy elegance."
    View this post on Instagram
“I’ve also heard people say ‘he has got a lot of time’. No boss. I don’t have any time. I know when I’m playing the bowler, you have to be ready. There’s no such thing as extra time. Every batsman is challenged by the bowler. You just have to be on top of your mindset and game. There is no time. Guys are quick enough to rattle you. Technically you can say he is playing the ball late, there are different styles of batsmanships. Some play the ball early, some play late. There’s no such thing as less time, more time."

Sharma’s finesse as a top-order batsman was seen in all its glory on Day 1 of the second Test between India and England at Lord’s when he struck a quickfire 83-run innings off just 145 deliveries while allowing the Indian squad to form a 100-run opening partnership in England after a decade.

Despite losing the toss, Virat Kohli would have been the happier of the two skippers after the completion of Day 1 of the second Test at Lord's.
The Indian batsmen, especially, openers KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma, played with great resolve and dominated the England bowlers throughout the day.

For the first time in over a decade, Indian openers Rahul stitched a century partnership outside Asia.

The last opening combination to put up a century-stand at the top of the order was Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag, which came way back in 2010 in Centurion.
KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma hit the first century opening stand for India outside Asia in Tests since the start of 2011

Apart from Rohit and Rahul, Indian skipper Virat Kohli also made a significant contribution, scoring 42 runs off 103 balls. He wasn’t as fluent as he would have liked to, but despite that, he hung around, which allowed Rahul to flourish from the other end.
After James Anderson removed Rohit and Cheteshwar Pujara in quick succession, the duo forged a crucial 117-run partnership for the third wicket and kept England bowlers at bay.

The victors finished the day on top and were looking all set for a big total in the first innings. After the day’s play, Rohit Sharma interacted with the journalists and looked confident about the team's position.

Known for his spontaneous humour and tongue-in-cheek responses, Rohit has made all of us laugh on several occasions in the past.
But never before have we seen him get so impressed by a reporter’s question that he literally gave him a salute.

    — R A T N I S H (@LoyalSachinFan) August 13, 2021 For that to happen, India will have to finish the game inside four days and given the kind of start they have got, there is every possibility of the match finishing by Aug 15, provided weather doesn’t play a spoilsport.
India are in a strong position right now but the beauty of the traditional format is that things change quickly here and it would be foolish to take the opposition for granted at any point in the game.

About a year ago, almost this time around, Yashraj Mukhate dropped his first viral rap that we doubt anyone on social media would have missed.
It was a scene from the Indian soap Saath Nibhaana Saathiya (yes, the one famous for its laptop-cleaning scene by Gopi bahu).
The rap called ‘Rasode Me Kon Tha’ made Mukhate ‘viral king of the year’.
    © Instagram/Yashraj Mukhate
He has released several mashups since then and has created a niche for himself.

Mukhate blends dialogues from interviews and viral videos with beats and music and makes a hilarious AF rap.
All his rap songs have gone viral and are loved by the fans, the most popular one being Tommy ft. Shehnaaz Gill and of course, 'Biggini Shoot'.
    © Instagram/Yashraj Mukhate
He just dropped another rap and this time it features ‘Baji Bombastic’ the ultimate ‘safarer’.

She is a fictional comedy character created by Instagrammer Sheherzade Noor Peerzada.
In the video, originally posted on the Instagram account of ‘Baji Bombastic’, she is vacationing at some scenic place and says “bhot lovely hai’. She says she loves to ‘safar’.
    © Instagram/Yashraj Mukhate
Mukhate mixed the video with some beats and background score and created a travel anthem for all those who love to ‘safar’.

He named the rap ‘I Love To Safar’ and wrote in the caption, “May you all safar. Dedicated to all the wanderlust travellers and sufferers.”
    © Instagram/Yashraj Mukhate
If you have tested positive for wanderlust during the pandemic too, you will miss ‘safaring’ after this. You have to see it yourself.

The fans were in splits and they can’t wait to ‘safar’ too. A user wrote, “My life loves to make me safar.” Another wrote, “I mean, what a kickstart to the week. We are all suffering.”

The only difference is, while Baji Bombastic is ‘saffaring’, we are here ‘suffering’.

The video is going viral yet again and has garnered over 4 lakh views, so far.

Whether you miss travelling, nay saffaring or not, you can still end your suffering of WFH and lockdown by listening to this hilarious rap, at least for a while.

Abhishek Bachchan has recently sold his luxury condo in Mumbai’s Oberoi 360 West. According to reports, the actor has got around Rs 45.75 crores for the sale of his opulent apartment.
Abhishek Bachchan and their wife Aishwarya Rai would have been neighbors to Shahid Kapoor and Akshay Kumar if they hadn’t offloaded the house. The actor bought the house in 2014 for Rs 41 crores.

According to a report in Money Control, the size of the house is around 7,527 square feet and is situated on the 37th floor of the Oberoi 360 West in Mumbai's Worli area. Also, Shahid Kapoor reportedly bought the house in the same building for Rs 56 crores for his apartment and Akshay Kumar bought it for Rs 52.5 crores.

Shahid Kapoor and their wife Mira Kapoor also often visit the site these days to look after the construction work. She recently also posted a video in which she checked out tiles that were laid out on the floor. Their apartment is on the 42nd and 43rd floors of the high rise.

Recently, other actors who made property purchases are Rani Mukerji and Disha Patani.

Rani Mukerji has recently bought a new house in Mumbai’s Khar area. After buying this new plush property, Rani is now a neighbor to Disha Patani, Tiger Shroff, and cricketers Hardik and Kunal Pandya.

Despite a delay in the beginning of the first session, Day 1 of the second Test between India and England belonged to Virat Kohli’s squad, thanks to a stunning start provided by the opening partnership of Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul.
    View this post on Instagram
However, it is the consistency with which Rahul has returned to the Indian red-ball side and picked up the role of the opening batsman after Shubman Gill and Mayank Agarwal were ruled out, that has become the icing on the cake for his fans.
So when the 29-year-old finally reached the 100-run mark and celebrated a much-awaited century, one of his biggest admirers, Suniel Shetty shared a video from his Instagram account, not only congratulating him but also thanking him for a great birthday gift.

“100 at the Mecca of cricket! Congratulations and god bless baba @rahulkl Ps: thank you for my bday gift!” he wrote in his Instagram caption.
So, why is the actor’s message to the cricketer so special? For years now, it has been rumoured that KL Rahul was dating Suniel Shetty’s daughter and actor Athiya Shetty, despite the two never making it publicly official.

However, when Rahul was joined by his speculated girlfriend during his time in the United Kingdom, after he added her name to the BCCI form for wives and partners, it was taken as a sign of confirmation of their relationship.

However, once Sharma was dismissed, Rahul took command of the steering wheel, building his innings alongside the skipper, Virat Kohli, and joining forces for a stunning 117-run partnership, before Kohli poked Ollie Robinson’s delivery which went into the hands of England captain Joe Root at first slip.
With Day 2 starting at 3:30 PM IST, Rahul will look to build on his 127-run innings, while hoping to get some support from his vice-captain, Ajinkya Rahane in the middle.

Continuing with his brilliant form, Indian opener Rohit Sharma played another masterful knock, scoring 83 runs on the opening day of the second Test at Lord's.
After winning the toss, England skipper Joe Root asked India to bat as he wanted to make most of the moisture in the pitch and overcast conditions but Indian openers Rohit and KL Rahul foiled their game plan.
    © Twitter/BCCI
Rohit started watchfully but grew in confidence as the innings progressed and scored runs all over the park.

Rohit has been batting well, both home and overseas, for quite some time now but always managed to lose his wicket. Breaking that trend, he scored his first half-century of the series and was looking determined more than ever to convert his start into a big score, reach the three-figure mark, something which he hasn’t been able to achieve outside of India.
    © Twitter/BCCI
A batsman needs to have luck on his side to score big runs in cricket, they say. Even Rohit rode his luck early on in his innings when a couple of inside edges missed the stumps by a whisker while the outside edges didn’t carry to the slip cordon.

It seemed as if the ‘Hitman’ was ready to make history at Lord’s. He was on the verge of becoming the first Indian opener to register his name in the Lord’s Honours board in over a decade.
While it’s hard to quantify the amount of pain a heartbreak causes, Indian supporters felt that pain when Rohit, despite batting magnificently for close to 25 overs, missed out of an opportunity to score his maiden ton overseas, falling short of the three-figure mark by 17 runs.
Rohit Sharma's innings comes to an end on 83.

James Anderson bowled a beautiful in-swinger, which Rohit failed to defend, and it went through the gate and crashed onto his stumps, giving England their first breakthrough.
The bowler deserves all the praise for executing his skills to perfection and creating doubt in the batsman's mind. But finding an excuse is what Indian supporters are best at, so they blamed the commentators’ curse for Rohit’s dismissal.
He does what was expected of him when was brought in this session. I am talking of Sanjay Manjrekar.
He came, he talked up Rohit in ways that were uneasy, and eventually delivered the commentator's curse.

    — Manas Gubbi (@manas_gubbi) August 12, 2021 According to them, Anderson wasn’t the reason why Rohit got out. Sanjay Manjrekar, who was commentating on the game sitting in a studio in Mumbai miles away from the venue, is what led to Rohit’s dismissal, after all, he holds the unnatural power of jinxing anything.
They argued that Rohit was in firm control before Majrekar started praising his knock and they knew what was coming.
These are the very people who don’t have a clue of their own future but they predicted Rohit’s future beforehand. How stupid is that?
    © Twitter
Playing the blame game and pointing fingers at someone is the easiest thing to do in this world. We all have to accept that it just wasn’t Rohit’s day and the kind of form he is in right now, it’s just a matter of time that he scored his maiden Test ton on foreign soil.

As far as his wicket is concerned, if Manjrekar really had such jinxing power, don’t you think oppositions would be flocking his doors to acquire his services whenever they played against India or any country for that matter.
    © Twitter
To some extent, analysts like Manjrekar have played a major role in popularising this term ‘commentators’ curse’ as they repeat it again and again while on-air whenever a player is about to reach a milestone. For me, they are equal culprits.

Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan expressed how meditation helps her take her mind off from the incessant trolling she is facing online.
The actor recently revealed the name of her second son, Jehangir Ali Khan, in her new book and now people have started trolling her again.
Kareena and her husband Saif were also trolled in 2016 when they revealed their first son’s name- Taimur Ali Khan.
She expressed that she has been through similar comments before and only wants to spread positivity rather than indulging herself in this.
In an interview with India Today, she said, “You know I am a very, very positive person. I am very happy and content. I want to spread happiness and positivity in a time like Covid, I can't think of trolls or any form of negativity."

That's just now because I am pushed against the wall so now I am like ‘OK, I will stay meditating'. There are two sides to a coin. So it's okay. If there is positivity, there is negativity, I have to look at it like that. I wish there wasn't. Because we have two innocent children we are talking about. But we are going to stay happy and positive.”
Recently, actress Swara Bhasker also tweeted about the controversy and said, “A couple has named its children, and that couple isn't you. But you have opinions about the names, and in your mind, this is an issue that has hurt your feelings. You are among the world's biggest donkeys.”

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Ajay Devgn is the undisputed king of box office numbers, as all his movies in the recent past have worked wonders. He is known to deliver several blockbusters, which has made him one of the highest-paid actors in Bollywood. For the longest time, many actors and viewers have been measuring a movie’s merit based on the numbers it has scored at the box office but Ajay doesn’t go by this rule book.
Ajay is gearing up for his movie Bhuj: The Pride Of India, which is releasing today, August 13. While interacting with the media, he was asked to share his views on the box office and if he believes in the numbers game. Ajay didn’t mince his words while responding to it and was brutally honest in this regard. In an instant reaction, he said, "What bullshit! It’s created. It was always created.
    View this post on Instagram
On being further probed if box office numbers matter or have ever affected him, he said, “Do you think it has mattered to me? I’ve never bothered, I’ve never given interviews (about it), I’ve never spoken about it. I’m not scared about it.”
In the same interaction, he spoke about how digital space needs to be regulated to a point because people misuse the freedom that OTT has to offer.
He will soon make his digital debut with the series Rudra - The Edge of Darkness. He added that he hopes the regulations are not a step in the wrong direction.

"It is an area of concern to a point. To a point, it needs to be regulated but we should not start going backward. Regulations should be right. The fear isn't that it's getting regulated. The fear is what the regulations are," Devgn said.
