Not every movie is rewatched because it is loved. Some are rewatched in the background because of the cringe factor and the hate or the laughter that comes with it is a secret guilty pleasure for so many of us.

Here are some of the most common picks which make viewers indulge in a ‘love-hate’ relationship:
    1. Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon
This movie was nothing but ‘overacting ki dukaan’.
An overtly chirpy Kareena Kapoor Khan, a super confused, hyped-up Hrithik and a stony-faced Abhishek Bachchan, all thrown into a cocktail of weirdness.
Sure, the music was something of a saving grace, but besides that, we love hating on this as much we love Kasam Ki Kasam from this movie.
    2. Karzzzz
The multiple ‘zzz’ in the title actually stands for the sleep-inducing drug that the scriptwriters infused into the story.
We all are guilty of listening to Tandoori Nights and trying to brush up our nasal singing skills but honestly, what even is this movie?
    3. Sooryavansham
Tell me you have not grown up watching this movie on Max and have a complicated love-hate relationship with it, and I will guess that you are probably a ‘desi’ kid born in some remote village in Europe.
To date, that bowl of ‘kheer’ gives me nightmares!
    4. Jaani Dushman
Probably my favourite movie to hate on this list. The ensemble cast, an ‘icchadhaari naagin’, and watching this crazy movie with revenge plots was fun and cringe in equal parts as a kid.
    5. Chori Chori Chupke Chupke
The concept of surrogacy was completely shown in the most ridiculous manner.
As a kid, every time I watched this movie, the scene where Rani calls Preity and tells her she will stay outside so she can ‘do’ it with her husband never made sense to me until I grew up, watched it again and realised just how ridiculous this was!
    6. Mujhse Dosti Karogi
Lovely music, good star cast, but this movie lurks of a ‘Prem Ki Deewani’ hangover for Kareena and Hrithik.
Also, that ‘gobhi ki paranthe’ scene where he can sniff it from a mile away was downright hilarious.
    7. Shandaar
Nothing ‘shandaar’ about this non-grand movie about a very sleepy Alia Bhatt.
I am pretty sure only a movie like this could bring Alia, Shahid and Pankaj Kapur in the same frame and be responsible for the collective failure of their performances.
    8. Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag

Not much can be said for this movie because everyone involved in the project has shown enough regret already.
However to imagine that Big B could participate in such a pomp show, which is a sacrilegious act of pulling down his own hit Sholay, is beyond my understanding.

To this day, Rang De Basanti remains to be one of the best Bollywood movies that depicts the connection that a younger generation has with India, and what it actually means to be a patriot in this day and age.

Without a doubt, it is one of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s best films, and will certainly go down in history as an Indian classic.

Turns out, he was very close in casting Daniel Craig, in a key role for the film.

We all have heard rumours that Tom Cruise was considered for Shah Rukh’s role in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Because none of the people associated with the film have ever spoken about it, it remains to be a rumour. Also, the keyword in that little factoid is “considered.”

In his autobiography titled ‘The Stranger In The Mirror,’ Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra revealed that Daniel had actually auditioned for Rang De Basanti, and had been cast as James McKinley, Sue's grandfather.

In the film, James McKinley is a colonel in British India who oversaw the execution of Chandrasekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru, Ashfaqulla Khan, and Ram Prasad Bismil, and was immensely in awe of their revolutionary spirit.
It was an entry from James’ diary that inspired Sue to make the trip to India.

The director revealed that after the audition, Craig was selected for the Character of James McKinley.

However, around the same time, Daniel had auditioned for the role of James Bond, for Casino Royale, and had requested some time.

Unfortunately, the time that Daniel needed for his final round of auditions was not something that Mehra could accommodate due to the film’s schedule.

As a result, the team had to go ahead with the film, without Daniel.

Back in 2004-2005, when the film was being shot, Daniel Craig had established himself as an actor, but he wasn’t nearly as popular as he became with the release of Casino Royale in 2006.

Prior to that the most notable films that he was a part of were only a handful. These included movies like Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, & Shekhar Kapur Elizabeth. During this time, he was mainly working in television.

Certain movies hold a special place in our hearts.

It could be a film we saw as children with our friends, with all the inside jokes and references we never seem to forget. It could be a film that you saw on a date that outlasted the relationship itself. These films find a way back to us one way or another.
These are some of the classic movies that we can’t help but binge-watch when we are feeling a wee bit overwhelmed by life:
    1. Munnabhai MBBS  © Vinod Chopra Productions
This movie single-handedly changed public perception of Sanjay Dutt, and obviously so.

Before this, Sanju was always associated with being the 'bad boy' of Bollywood. But with Munnabhai, he turned that edge into a streetwise and affable character.
Coupled with the comedic timing of Arshad Warsi’s Circuit, as well as the tear-jerking scenes, make it a fixture on this list.
    2. Dil Chahta Hai © Excel Entertainment
Goa Tourism definitely got a boost with this movie, with its picturesque locales inspiring every youngster to go there and travel with their friends.

Beyond the scenery, Dil Chahta Hai was one of the first films that the youth related to because of the way it discussed relationships. Simpler times indeed.
    3. Mr. India  © Narsimha Enterprises
Mr. India was probably the first of several superhero movies I’ve seen in my life.

I won’t be lying if I said that I wanted a cloaking device to fight evil like Anil Kapoor. After all, we all have our Mogambos in our lives.
    4. Andaz Apna Apna © Ultra Distributors
The very definition of a cult classic, I still watch Andaz Apna Apna even if its humour feels dated nowadays.

The slapstick comedy works because of its several iconic dialogues which deserve repeated viewings! “Unka ek sawaal, humare do-do jawaab. Sawaal ek, jawab do'' and “Yeh Teja Teja kya hai, yeh Teja Teja!” still make me giggle.
    5. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara  © Excel Entertainment
You should not watch this movie if you suffer from an acute case of wanderlust like I do. Every scene makes me feel like seeing the world better.

On top of that, each time I revisit the movie, I manage to find a sliver of inspiration to take on my own challenges. After all, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, literally!
These are some of the movies I find myself watching all the time whenever I long for something familiar. What are your comfort films?

When it comes to sporting events, the Olympics automatically snatch the crown jewels as the most prestigious of the lot. Be it the intensity, the hard work, the sportsmanship, or the sheer effort that goes into the preparation by the athletes, nothing can touch the adrenaline rush that the Olympics bring forth.

    via GIPHY
Event wise too, it's a behemoth that requires massive, immaculate planning by the organizers, as the smallest glitch can end up in major mishaps. It has happened, and history is the witness. Don't believe us? Let us talk about the 1904 Olympic Marathon!

    via GIPHY
The 1904 Olympic Marathon remains till date, the world's strangest sporting event because of the insanity that unfolded there. What happened, exactly, you're thinking? Here are 8 messed up things that made it go down in history as one of the craziest events ever.
    1. There were zero water stations available in the running course that was almost 40 km long. However, there was a roadside well at the 19.3 km mark.

    via GIPHY
    2. North American competitor, Tom Hicks, was given a cocktail made of egg whites, brandy, and Strychnine (a pesticide used in actual rat poison). That also became the first recorded instance of drug use in the modern Olympics. Strychnine, in small doses, was commonly used as a stimulant, and at the time there were no rules about performance-enhancing drugs.

    3. The entire race was conducted on a road so dusty and windy, that William Garcia, an American runner, inhaled enough dust and got knocked out because his stomach lining was torn open. Had he gone unaided an hour longer he might have bled to death, making him the first fatality of an Olympic Marathon.

    4. Someone accidentally let out feral dogs on the course and Len Tau, one of the South African participants, was chased a mile off course by them.

    via GIPHY
    5. Félix Carvajal, another runner, trotted along in his cumbersome shoes and billowing shirt, making good time even though he paused to chat with spectators in broken English. On one occasion he stopped at a car, saw that its occupants were eating peaches, and asked for one. Being refused, he playfully snatched two and ate them as he ran. A bit further along the course, he stopped at an orchard and snacked on some apples, which turned out to be rotten. Suffering from stomach cramps, he lay down and took a nap.

    via GIPHY
    6. Automobiles were running along on the same course, kicking off dust. One runner named Fred Lorz legit took a lift on one of them because 'his legs were cramping' and waved at other runners and the spectators.

    via GIPHY
    7. Lorz finally got out of the automobile and continued running. He reached the finish line and was almost about to be declared the winner. The crowd roared and began chanting, “An American won!” Alice Roosevelt, the 20-year-old daughter of President Theodore Roosevelt, placed a wreath upon Lorz’s head and was just about to lower the gold medal around his neck, when one of Tom Hicks' handlers exposed him 'as an impostor'. The cheers turned to boos. Lorz smiled and claimed that he had never intended to accept the honor; he finished only for the sake of a “joke.”

    via GIPHY
    8. There were 32 participants, but because of the mayhem that unfolded, only 14 runners were able to finish the marathon. Tom Hicks, the guy who drank the rat poison cocktail and was hallucinating throughout the course, was declared the winner.

That's it, guys. That's the story. We have no comments. We can't even, either.

Most dates in movies are either too filmy, like expensive dinner at the top of the Eiffel tower and singing and dancing in the rain, or they are plain boring like having a cup of coffee together in a crowded restaurant.
Honestly, these are so done and dusted!
Moreover, with the night curfews and impromptu lockdowns in the times of covid-19, you can’t always count on a stereotypical movie date or dinner date.
    © Dharma Productions
But, it’s for the best since you get the chance to be creative and sweep your significant other off their feet in a filmy style, but in a unique way.

You can steal unconventional date ideas that Bollywood has unintentionally given us and make your date super special.
    © Tips Industries Limited
Listed below are some really quirky, cute and truly romantic date ideas that your partner or crush won’t be able to say no to:

    1. Sit By The Lake  © Dharma Productions
This is probably the most affordable and no-nonsense date idea ever.

Take them out on a stroll around the city and then park your car by the lake, where you could have a pizza (remember to order take away while you are strolling) and a heart-to-heart to know them more like Naina and Bunny from YJHD.
You don’t need a restaurant set up to eat out together, just some food and privacy and oh, a blazing sunset for a perfect romantic date.
    2. Take Your Bae To The Terrace  © Dharma Productions
There is a legit term called rooftop romance or ‘chhat wala pyaar’ in Bollywood movies, so you know your efforts of scoring a terrace date night won’t go to waste.

It would be incredibly romantic to have a coffee date in the evening, a yoga session in the morning or a fancy dinner date in the night. You can take your pick.
    3. Have A Fun Cycling Date © Rohit Shetty Pictures
If you and your date are more into fun and adventurous activities rather than sappy movie dates or a walk by the beach, you can ask them out on a cycling date.

It would be exciting to race with your partner especially if you both are sporty and a bit competitive. It could be an evening date or better yet, an early morning date followed by breakfast.
    4. Go For A Romantic Boat Ride © Dharma Productions
Forget long drives and a walk to remember, a boat ride is an old-school and simple date idea that your partner will actually remember for life.

If you stay at a place which is famous for its lakes and boat rides, you absolutely cannot miss this. However, if you don’t, bookmark this for when you visit such a place and instead of an expensive dinner, take them for a boat ride date.
    5. A Date Night In The Garden © Vishesh Films
If you are stuck with bae in the lockdown, this is the most amazing and unforgettable date set up you can pull off to break the rut and spice things up in your relationship.

Simply get your garden area lit with fairy lights, get lanterns and you can cook something too for her. You can end the date by watching the stars together. Your lady will love it!
