    It's surprising to see how our brains have been fed with information that's almost next to irrelevant in today's time. I mean, how does colour or clothing define gender? But, thanks to celebrities like Ranveer Singh dumping old, conventional rules, such gender-biased norms are quickly becoming a thing of the past. 
    Ranveer has time and again impressed us with his sartorial sense. Take the time he posed with a women's bag or when he made a statement in heeled boots. There's absolutely nothing that Ranveer hasn't tried or done.

    Apart from breaking stereotypes, the style maven is also known for his fine taste in clothes. We have seen him wear clothes and accessories at whopping prices. From his reversible coat worth Rs 3 lakh to his rare Franch Muller watch worth Rs 2.1 crores, Ranveer had flaunted it all with panache. This time, as he was seen at Mumbai airport, he wore yet another all-Gucci ensemble.

    While this was about his ensemble, let's also talk in detail about Ranveer's accessories here. He usually likes to step out with his headband. This one in question is yet another style by Gucci, which costs a whopping Rs 25,000. Add to that, Ranveer's oversized white sunglasses. These Gucci sunglasses too don't come cheap and cost almost Rs 45,000. And, none of these prices include customs and import duties.

    Coming to the only cheap thing about his outfit, his sneakers. These are Adidas Yeezy 500 Bone White sneakers. The pair has an upper composed of cow suede and premium leather, and mesh. The rubber with the midsole grants the foot perfect support. There's also abrasion resistance with reflective piping details that add visibility in low-light conditions.

    As for the price, surprisingly, the shoes are even cheaper than his sunglasses. These cost only Rs 28,809 approximately. Looks like that's affordable as per Ranveer's standards.

    A YouTuber sent Apple’s latest tracking device AirTag to some notable people and even a country where he could end up getting in trouble. He sent three AirTags in total, one to Tim Cook, one to Elon Musk and the last to North Korea. Apple’s tracking device can be used to track lost items via the FindMy App on the iPhone. The app gives an approximate location of the AirTag in the app which can later be found using more precision with the iPhone 11 or later devices.

    9to5Mac reports that a YouTuber who runs the channel Megalang, sent the three AirTags as he was on a gifting spree. The AirTags were shipped from Frankfurt in Germany and he started to track the three devices in the Find My App. He could track the devices as they reached DHL facilities, airport and left for the three different locations.

    While not every recipient responded to the AirTags, Apple CEO Tim Cook responded to the YouTuber in an email. The YouTuber revealed that the AirTag which was sent to Cook was at the Apple Park in Cupertino for six weeks. It was later sent back to the location from where it was originally sent from. Cook’s letter was also sent along with the AirTag and here’s what it said:

    “Dear Jonathan,
    Thank you for sharing about your project for Apple AirTags. We’re delighted to hear about creative uses for AirTags and how they can improve our customers’ lives. As you can imagine, Mr Cook receives hundreds of letters each month from customers like yourself. Unfortunately, he is unable to respond to every request. But we hope you continue to enjoy your AirTag as it returns from its unique journey across the world!”

    It was also revealed that the AirTag sent to Elon Musk had reached SpaceX headquarters and remained there for two weeks. However, Elon Musk wasn’t as impressed as Cook and didn’t respond. The AirTag sent to Musk was later tracked to a recycling hub in Castaic, California. As for the third AirTag, it never made it to North Korea and was mistakenly shipped to South Korea instead.

    I’ve always felt that other than our upbringing, if there was something that has had a major impact on all of us while growing up, it was  Bollywood. Whether it was turning all of us into hopeless romantics, rooting for toxic positivity and happy endings or simply condemning the concept of ‘consent’, which was anyway a joke according to the film industry, our cinema has been infamous for promoting problematic behaviour.

    Turns out, there is a lot of toxic masculinity that Bollywood has contributed to by furthering problematic stereotypes, especially with its hit songs, the lyrics of which would make you cringe and want to punch the lyricist right in the face. 

    In fact, most of these old songs are less of songs and more of threatening jingles that are only promoting stalking and overlooking consent. Here are some of them with the wackiest of lyrics! 
    1) Haseena Maan Jaayegi
    “Kab tak roothegi, cheekhegi, chillaaye gi?
    Dil kehta hai ek din haseena maan jayegi”
    The hit 90s film starring actors like Govinda, Sanjay Dutt and Karishma Kapoor, literally ended up producing a song that was the antithesis of consent and romanticised a girl’s protest on a road while chasing her down.
    2) Tu Hai Meri Kiran
    “Tu kisi aur ki ho na jana
    Kuch bhi kar jaaonga main deewana
    Tu haan kar, ya naa kar
    Tu hai meri… Kiran”
    From the movie Darr that was a psychological thriller and literally based on a stalker, the song could be an anthem for all the creeps out there who won’t need a girl’s answer to claim her as their own. 
    3) Chal Pyaar Karegi
    “Chal pyaar karegi?” “Haan ji haan ji.”
    “Mere saath chalegi?” “Na ji na ji.”
    “Tu haan kar ya na kar, teri marzi. soniye.
    Hum tujh ko utha kar le jayenge.”
    Another 90s hit song that heavily promoted crucifying the concept of consent. The lyrics for this one are straight up implying how it doesn’t matter whether the girl say yes or no, the guy will take her along forcefully, anyway. Such romance, much wow.
    4) Gandi Baat
    “Raja beta banke maine jab sharafat dikhayi
    Tune bola ‘hatt mawaali’ bhaav nahi diya re
    Thandi aahein bhar li bohot
    Acchi baatein kar li bohot
    Ab karunga tere saath… Gandi baat…”
    As the name suggests, the entire song is but a testament to how a guy, after trying to be the nice guy and not getting anything for it, will finally resort to “bad means”, because why not? Slow claps for the lyricists here.
    5) Apun Bola
    “Yeh uska style hoinga, hontho pe na dil me han hoinga
    Aaj nahee toh kal bolegee, ai tu tension kai ko leta hai re”
    The worst part of this song, believe it or not, is actually not the questionable lyrics, but the fact that these were being sung by a woman in the song, no less. Aishwarya Rai who played the character of Shirley in the film Josh was saying this to console her brother who got rejected by a girl, but obviously it didn’t mean anything because apparently, in the 90s, girl saying no = girl saying yes.

    Earlier, in an interview, Swara talked about how harassment of women on social media has been normalized. She said, “We deal with it and we’re almost kind of okay with it. That’s why you see Twitter timelines of a lot of people, including me, resemble those streets where men are passing comments at women. So, what happens to me when I walk down the road — chherkhani or eve-teasing — is exactly what happens to me on my Twitter timeline, too.”

    Ever felt you wanted to know the reasons behind some unexplained incidents of the world because you have a very curious mind? Well, look no further from home as you might just find out something similar at an Indian wedding. Why? Because they too have a tendency to get stranger than fiction.

    It turns out Lucknow, known to be the land of Nawabs, had a wedding that was a very peculiar one. During the garland exchanging or the Varmala ceremony, the bride had humbly wrapped the garland around the groom's neck.

    However, when it came to his turn to do the same thing, the bride suddenly channelized her inner sportsperson and started playing kabaddi on the stage, running around, wanting to be chased to complete the ceremony.

    Well, thankfully, the groom was indeed a good sport and instead of just being tired of all the ceremonies and sitting down, he actually ended up chasing her across the stage.

    As soon as the news of the demise of much loved actor Sushant Singh Rajput broke, all fingers pointed at his girlfriend at the time, Rhea Chakraborty. She was wrapped up in the drug case related to SSR’s death and was also arrested during the NCB probe.

    Her career was obviously impacted as haters swore to boycott her films. Her last movie Chehre which released this year, almost a year after SSR’s death, was also slammed by trolls.

    With the B-String of the Indian cricket team winning the ODI series and picking a win in the first of three T20Is against Sri Lanka, news of opening batsman, Prithvi Shaw, and middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav flying to England to join the A-String have been making reports.
    The A-String, which will be led by Virat Kohli during the upcoming five-match Test series against England on foreign soil, has seen a few injuries take place before and during the practice match they were involved in against the County Select XI in Durham earlier this month.

    First, it was the top-order batter Shubman Gill who was ruled out for the entire series with shin splints and sent back home, then Washington Sundar and Avesh Khan were also declared injured. Additionally, skipper Kohli also missed out of the practice match with a stiff back and vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane had hamstring complaints.
    Under such circumstances, the Board on Control for Cricket in India decided to shuffle around a couple of names - Shaw and Kumar. Although it is uncertain when the two cricketers will go to England, the fact that they will be joining the Kohli squad has been confirmed.

    Suryakumar has looked in form during his stint with the B-String, under the captaincy of Shikhar Dhawan during the limited-overs cricket series against Sri Lanka and the possibility of getting a Test call based on his recent white-ball performance seems like the top-tier reason at the moment.
    However, Yadav’s 2019-2020 performance during the Ranji Trophy season adds a lot of merit to his name when it comes to red-ball cricket. Batting for the Mumbai squad, SKY has collated 508 runs in just 10 innings averaging 56.44. He has also massed two centuries, and two half-tons.

    One of the most talked-about batters for the Men in Blue in recent times, Shaw had himself a golden duck while debuting for the Indian cricket team in the T20I format on Sunday. However, his red-ball numbers tell a different story, even though the 21-year old has only played five Tests for the senior team.
    As a List A cricketer ever since India’s incredible Test series of Australia earlier this year, he has scored 1240 runs in 20 innings and his average reads a phenomenal 72.94 on the board. With a strike rate of 142.85, he also scored four 100’s and four 50’s as well.

    — Nick (@nxcv3) July 23, 2021I once had an interview where they asked me to bring a green pen. I of course did not own a green pen, and had to go out and buy pens. When I asked them, they said they were seeing if I read the email. I was pretty pissed tbh, as I was low on time and $ at the time.
