After Groom Wears Varmala, Bride Starts Playing Kabaddi On Wedding Stage During Her Turn

Ever been interested in UFO conspiracies or possibly how the pyramids were made?

Ever felt you wanted to know the reasons behind some unexplained incidents of the world because you have a very curious mind? Well, look no further from home as you might just find out something similar at an Indian wedding. Why? Because they too have a tendency to get stranger than fiction.

It turns out Lucknow, known to be the land of Nawabs, had a wedding that was a very peculiar one. During the garland exchanging or the Varmala ceremony, the bride had humbly wrapped the garland around the groom's neck.

However, when it came to his turn to do the same thing, the bride suddenly channelized her inner sportsperson and started playing kabaddi on the stage, running around, wanting to be chased to complete the ceremony.

Incredible, right? (Guess the Tokyo Olympics fever really got to her!)

Well, thankfully, the groom was indeed a good sport and instead of just being tired of all the ceremonies and sitting down, he actually ended up chasing her across the stage.

The hilarious video of the event soon went viral.

यूं तो यह जयमाल का दृश्य है, पर दुल्हन की हरकत देखकर लगता है कि वो कबड्डी खेलने के इरादे से आई थी।

Turns out that the bride was actually too fast for the groom to catch and it was not until the groom's friends interfered that he was finally able to complete the Varmala ceremony. Isn't that fun now?

That really is one wedding we'd have loved to watch.
