    Who doesn't love the idea of grand proposals? We all have been inspired at some point to ask the love of our lives the big question in the most memorable way possible. 
    Bollywood, though, has been the biggest influence when it comes to romance. In movies and even in real life, some celebrities took one step ahead and proposed to their partners in a lavish manner. 
    Take a look at the list of these celebrities and their heart-warming marriage proposals:

    Ali Fazal and Richa Chadda announced their engagement amid the pandemic. And if you see Ali's proposal plan, you are bound to love it. 

    Ali had plans to propose from a helicopter with many people looking. But, instead, he devised a surprise dinner for her on an island in the middle of the ocean in the Maldives. He kept it simple yet romantic.

    Even SRK and Gauri's story is one for the books. The couple, despite their ups and downs, has been together for more than thirty years now. 

    When they were young, SRK would try hard to woo Gauri. Once, they fought in their teenage days, and she decided to come to Mumbai. 
    After that, SRK followed her, and one fine day, he decided to propose to her on the beach. Yes, it was super romantic, and they finally got married on 25th October 1991.

    Abhishek and Aishwarya worked together for Guru, and that's when the rumours of their love story started doing rounds. 

    Jr. Bachchan popped the big question during the premiere of the movie and asked Aishwarya to marry him on the same balcony he once imagined they would be together in. 
    The couple has been married for over 14 years now.

    Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas had only been on three dates before the couple decided to get married. 

    The popstar even shut the Tiffany & Co outlet in London to choose the ring for the love of his life. 
    He proposed to her at midnight on their trip to Crete and ensured the engagement date doesn't clash with her birthday.

    The couple fell in love on the sets of Tashan. Saif had made up his mind that he wanted to marry Kareena so much that he proposed twice, but unfortunately, Kareena rejected it both times. 

    However, their destiny changed when Saif decided not to give up. He proposed her once again in Paris, which was also the same place where Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi proposed Sharmila Tagore. Kareena then said yes, and they now have been together for 9 years and have two beautiful boys.

    Theirs was an unannounced proposal story. Former actress and now known as Mrs Funnybones, Twinkle rejected Akshay's proposal as she wanted to focus on her career. 

    In Koffee with Karan, Akshay mentioned that Twinkle was sure about Mela's success. She claimed that the movie would be a hit at the box office, but she would marry him if it fails. The film flopped, and the rest is history!

    The Pataudi clan has a connection with Paris. Even Soha and Kunal's proposal story is from the city of love. 

    After Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and Saif Ali Khan asked their partners to marry them in Paris, Kunal Kemmu too decided to pull off a perfect proposal for Soha. 
    Even though Paris was not on their itinerary, he still planned it all out. Soha said yes, and the couple got married soon after.

    Karan and Bipasha fell in love on the sets of Alone, and their chemistry soon turned into a relationship. 

    Despite their age gap and Karan's past marriages, nothing came in between their love. 
    Finally, Karan popped the question in Koh Samui, Thailand during fireworks on 31st December and gave her a ring. They have been married for 5 years now.

    Our body is a wonderful machine, capable of great things if we dedicate the time, effort and discipline into it. When it comes to exercise routines, it’s essential to have an end goal clearly in mind, otherwise you run the risk of running around like headless chickens without much progress to show. 
    You may have seen Cristiano Ronaldo leap higher than his rivals to score a header, or even Tiger Shroff performing stunts that seem superhuman. If that’s a skill you’d want to master through your workout regimen, then developing explosive strength is one such goal that you can look at. 

    But what is explosive strength? It refers to body movements that demand your body to use strength and speed in tandem. While going to the gym and working on individual body parts is always helpful, explosive strength enables you to concentrate on delivering high energy outputs in short bursts. Extremely useful for football, martial arts and several other sports.
    Vertical JumpsObviously, the first movement you’d want to be working on is your ability to jump vertically. At the beginning, your aim shouldn’t be to jump as high as possible, but rather increasing the number of jumps you’re comfortably executing in a single session. By doing this you’re getting your body used to the motion. Then once you’re comfortable with it, up the ante by progressively increasing the height of your jumps.

    Uphill RunsMost athletes and runners often ignore the immense benefits of running uphill. Find a spot that offers you slight elevation to run on, and run in short bursts of speed. Not more than 15-20 seconds each sprint. Rest for a couple of minutes and repeat it for a circuit of 5 rounds. This attunes your glutes, hips, quads and hamstrings to fire in unison which in turn, results in better explosive strength over time.

    Lateral HopThis movement allows your body to develop stability while also honing that explosive strength. The trick is to start off with a strong focus on stability over frequency. Stand on a single leg. Maintain your balance and jump to the side, then return to the starting position. Repeat it with the other leg. Once you’re comfortable balancing the movement, then you may increase the frequency. After sometime you’ll find yourself easily hopping left to right on a single leg. That’s when you want to consider amping up the intensity of each jump. 

    Pistol SquatsA step above the regular squat, pistol squats are crucial for developing balanced strength in individual legs. This exercise can help build a stronger neuromuscular connection, especially if you do it slowly. The reason why it’s great for explosive strength is because it forces you to train your ankle and foot mobility. Take it easy in the beginning, use support while you teach your body to handle your weight on a single leg. Within a few weeks to a month of consistent practice you’ll find yourself doing pistol squats with minimal effort.

    Explosive strength in an individual is the sign of a well tuned body. However, do keep in mind that if you’re a beginner, you might want to take things slowly in order to avoid risk of injuries. Start with slower and focused movements and then slowly build up from there.

    When celebrities and actors get involved in a good photoshoot, the images that turn out are nothing short of magical.

    Well, Kartik Aaryan was recently a part of such a photoshoot with celebrity photographer Dabboo Ratnani, and man, did he impress.

    The photoshoot was for his upcoming calendar, which has become a hallmark for celebrities. Each year, Ratnani shoots 12 different celebrities in varying moods and setups to present one of the most sought-after calendars. 

    For Kartik Aaryan, it seems the theme was to go for grunge or classic rock and roll, and man oh man did Kartik nail the brief!

    With his long dishevelled hair and that vintage fur jacket, Kartik looked like a rockstar from the mid-1960s. Heck, it wouldn’t be farfetched to say that he sort of looked like Jim Morrison, the legendary vocalist for the band The Doors. 

    The outfit, the accessories, Kartik’s hair and makeup - all looked to be inspired by the goth/grunge theme. 
    Had Morrison been alive in the 1990s, this is how he would have styled himself for sure.

    The coolest thing about Kartik’s look in the photoshoot, however, has to be the fact that he got his nails painted for this. We have always maintained that it is high time that we normalise makeup for men, and Kartik has been one of the pioneers from Bollywood for that cause.

    Also, do take a note of that hint of a tattoo that we get to see. 

    We particularly like the fact that he actually went for the colour black to add to the monochromatic theme of the photoshoot. It’s kinda unfortunate that the photos are in black and white, but hey, they do look dope. 
    For those interested in what Kartik’s wearing, the white vest that we see on him is from a German street fashion label, called Thom Krom, and the pendants are from Boris Bidjan Saberi, a German menswear designer. The jacket is a vintage piece. 
    We have to say, that stylists Priyanka Shahani, & Kazim Delhiwala, also known as The Vainglorious, have done a phenomenally awesome job in styling Kartik for the shoot.  
    All in all, Kartik looks spectacular in the shoot. We honestly can’t wait to see him pulling off even more of these statement ensembles when he starts promoting his films again.

    Hours after reports emerged that an Indian cricketer had tested positive for the coronavirus, the BCCI concealed the identity of the player to safeguard his privacy. 
    However, it couldn’t remain a secret for long and several media houses reported that it was Rishabh Pant who was under isolation after testing positive for the dreaded virus.

    This news spread like wildfire and the wicketkeeper-batsman started getting tons of hateful comments on the micro-blogging site. 

    The so-called ‘Indian fans’ abused Pant and blamed him for attending a Euro 2020 match at Wembley, that too without wearing any mask.

    Pant witnessed the Round of 16 game between hosts England and Germany on June 30 from the Wembley stands and was accompanied by some of his friends. 
    While an extra bit of precaution wouldn’t have harmed, those criticising Pant should know that he was not the only player who attended the live sporting events.
    If senior cricketers are roaming without mask just imagine the Juniors worried about their safety than the series cricket can wait but life is of paramount importance. BCCI to be blamed for the leniency given to players

    While others were lucky to escape unscathed, Pant was just unlucky that the virus didn’t spare him like others. 

    That said, the hatred that came Pant’s way was nothing in comparison to the love and affection he got from his fans, who prayed for his speedy recovery.

    Meanwhile, the good news is that Pant is asymptomatic and his samples returned positive around a week ago and will complete his mandatory 10-day isolation in the next few days.

    However, after completing his isolation the Delhi-cricketer will be allowed to join the Indian contingent only after returning negative results, and given that there is still over two weeks left in the series to start, all we can do is keep our fingers crossed and hope that he recovers before that.

    Director SS Rajamouli released a behind-the-scenes video of his upcoming magnum opus RRR. The video shows the director and the technical crew in action. It’s so grand that as a viewer, you are bound to have goosebumps.

    My eyes popped out after I saw the massive sets and how the crew was shooting the scenes. I am sure that Rajamouli will break his own record of Baahubali. The lead actors include Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn among others. 
    RRR is a fictional story of two Telugu freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem, played by Ram Charan and Jr NTR, respectively. The big-budget action entertainer is produced on a whopping budget of Rs 450 crore. Well, we all can see that in the BTS video. 
    It genuinely will set a high standard for Indian cinema internationally. The makers had announced that the film will release in theatres on October 13 in multiple languages. 
    “The master storyteller and his team; making the impossible possible. India’s biggest action drama, taking over the world on 13 Oct 2021,” the makers have stated in the video.

    People are loving the massive scale of the shoot that has been carried out by Rajamouli. They have appreciated the fact that the director is doing all he can to elevate the standards of Indian cinema. People even felt that Bollywood should learn from SS Rajamouli.

    Sidharth Malhotra’s action drama Shershaah will be now released on Amazon Prime Video. 
    The film revolves around the life journey of Param Veer Chakra awardee, Captain Vikram Batra who is known for his bravery in the 1999 Kargil War.

    Sidharth Malhotra will be playing the role of Vikram Batra in the movie.

    Karan Johar took to Twitter and wrote, “An ordinary man’s extraordinary journey of courage and valour. Extremely honoured, thrilled & excited to present #ShershaahOnPrime, releasing on 12th August only on @primevideoin”.

    The teaser gives us a glimpse of the real footage from the Kargil War and also shows Batra’s peers talking about their captain.  
    In the end, we can see Sidharth in the Indian Army uniform with the name tag ‘Vikram Batra’.

    The film will be released on August 12th on Amazon Prime Video.

    Interestingly, this is not the only film releasing ahead of Independence Day, another patriotic film based on the 1971 Indo-Pak war, titled Bhuj: The Pride of India will also premiere on Disney+Hotstar on August 13.
