Streaming giant Netflix is looking to expand beyond offering video streaming services and enter the video games market as well. The company has hired Mike Verdu as VP of game development at the company to lead the endeavour.

Netflix is looking to bring video games to its platform and they will be displayed alongside other content such as documentaries and stand-up comedy specials according to a report by Bloomberg. It also seems like that the company will offer these games at no extra cost.

Netflix has long considered gaming to be its major competitor apart from other OTT services. This could be a way for the streaming giant to compete with the likes of Microsoft, Amazon and Google. Having said that, gaming is a very crowded space dominated by giants like Sony and Microsoft. It’s also dominated by mobile platforms such as iOS and Android where Netflix is looking to offer its own games.

Verdu, who has prior experience as the former head of Electronic Arts and made games for Oculus VR at Facebook may look at making original games that might be exclusive to the platform. Netflix has already started to advertise key positions on its website that are related to game development.

However, it is unclear whether Netflix is looking to offer game streaming as a product on its platform. If so, it will have to compete with Microsoft xCloud, Amazon Luna and Google Stadia. Each company has their own infrastructure of data centres around the globe to support cloud gaming.

Netflix, on the other hand, is entirely dependent on Amazon’s AWS servers which may turn out to be unfavourable for them if the company indeed plans to go the game streaming route. However, Bloomberg’s source said that “the company has yet to settle on a game-development strategy. In typical Netflix fashion, the company may start with just a few games and build from there."

Having said that, Netflix has previously licensed rights to games based on its shows such as Stranger Things and it looks like the company is looking to make it a bigger offering. The company also hosts video content from other gaming franchises such as Witcher 3, Resident Evil, Castlevania amongst others.

    — Tara Sim ☾ (@EachStarAWorld) July 15, 2021
As it turns out, the song 'Swag Saha Nahi Jaaye' from the Sonakshi Sinha starrer Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi was featured briefly in the episode, with proper credits to the singer and makers later on (Mudassar Aziz, Sohail Sen, Shadab Faridi, Neha Bhasin).

Yo they really added a Bollywood song in #LOKI finale...
    — tysonc (@briefperfection) July 15, 2021 Extending this conversation, here are 7 more times Bollywood music was unexpectedly featured in Hollywood.
    1. 'Mera Joota Hai Japani' in Deadpool
Who doesn't remember this iconic scene? Dopender and his car playlist was declared 'lit' by every desi watching the movie.
    2. 'Chhaiya Chhaiya' in Inside Man
Apparently, a lot of people thought their TV set was malfunctioning when the starting credits of the movie started blaring Chhaiya Chhaiya for no apparent reason.
    3. 'Humne Tumko Dekha' in Shaun Of The Dead
    via GIPHY
The iconic Hindi song plays on the radio when Shaun goes to the shop down the road.

    4. 'Mundiya Tu Bachke Rahi' in The Dictator
When this Sacha Baron Cohen starrer's trailer dropped, Indians were pleasantly surprised to see Mundiya Tu Bachke Rahi featured in it.
    5. 'Chamma Chamma' in Moulin Rouge
A version of this classic featuring Urmila Matondkar's inimitable steps in the original, was featured in the movie Moulin Rouge.
    6. Multiple songs in Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind
Retro Bollywood played a key role in this iconic scene, where multiple songs including Mera Mann Tera Pyasa and Wada Naa Tod were featured.
    7. 'Chori Chori Hum Gori Se' in The Guru

This was a representation of the reckless abandon of Bollywood music at its best, as the protagonist breaks into a full on dance number while the song plays in the background.

Richard Branson may have been the first Billionaire in space, but it didn’t really impress the world-renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. In fact, he expressed his doubts on the whole matter and raised the question of whether Branson really flew to space.
    © Virgin Galactic
Tyson, who is the director of the Hayden Planetarium, said in an interview with CNN that Richard Branson didn’t really go to space. “First of all, it was suborbital. NASA did it 60 years ago with Alan Shepard, took off from Cape Canaveral and landed in the ocean. If you don't go fast enough to reach orbit you will fall and return to Earth,” he said.

He further questioned the test flight by asking “So, did you get high enough? Did you go into orbit? Did you actually go anywhere? Did you go to the Moon, to Mars or beyond?”
DeGrasse further added, “It's okay if you want to call it 'space' because average humans haven't gotten there before and it's a first for you. That's why it takes eight minutes to get into orbit and three days to reach the moon. That is actually space travel. So I don't see it as 'oh, let's go into space'. No. What you are going to have is a nice view of the Earth.”
He explained that the orbit of the International Space Station and that of a spacecraft would be 1cm from the scale model while the moon would be more than 10 meters away. He said that the border that Richard Branson reached is less than 2 millimetres from the surface.
    © Hayden Planetarium
“I don't even know if you are going to see the curvature. I did some calculations and I think not. If you are 2 millimetres from the surface of this globe, you don't have the full perspective. It is a visual effect that you get from 50 miles up (nearly 80 km). So have fun," said deGrasse Tyson.

    © Hayden Planetarium
Tyson believes that Musk’s SpaceX orbit project has more merit and has a higher chance of going beyond suborbital flight. “The concept of SpaceX is 'we want to send people to places', it is an effort to push that limit, that frontier of exploring space," he said.

Richard Branson went into space in his Virgin Galactic Unity 22 vehicle along with five other crew members. They reached an altitude of 55 miles (86 kilometres) over the New Mexico desert and then landed on a runway while gliding. Branson beat Jeff Bezos to become the first person to travel in his own spaceship by nine days.

Former Pakistan cricketer Abdul Razzaq recently became a part of a talk show in which he left no stones unturned to depict his hate and problems with female cricketers for… being themselves.
In an Pakistani TV show hosted by presenter Nouman Ijaz, Razzaq shared a couch with all-rounder Nida Dar and made some nasty, sexist comments about every aspect of her being an athlete. From the way she looks, to the way she shakes hands with people, while also conjecturing that women cricketers want to show themselves “as superiors” to their male counterparts.
Shameful ridicule of a young cricket player by Abdul Razzaq. When you have played for the national team & have some level of respect, you should use that to encourage young cricketers, especially women, instead of shaming them based on gender stereotypes.pic.twitter.com/CtemldIcNb
    — Usama Khilji (@UsamaKhilji) July 14, 2021
While talking about women choosing between sports and marriage, Dar was trying to explain how cricket has helped a lot of women from villages to have a career.
"If some colleges and schools have space, then they do try and incorporate cricket in their extra curriculum activities. Girls from rural areas and villages move to the city to play cricket, in hopes to pursue this as a profession."
    View this post on Instagram
This is when Razzaq starts the slander by saying: "Oh, they don't get married. Their field is as such. When they become cricketers, they strive to be as equal as their male counterparts, if not better than them. They want to prove that not only men, but they can also do it as well. The feeling [to get married] is gone [by the time they excel]." He further added by saying, "If you shake her [Dar] hand, she is anything but feminine."
The all-rounder then decides to respond to Razzaq by suggesting the need for them to have muscular bodies but he simply cuts her off with another sexist remark: "You can tell by the haircut she has."
    View this post on Instagram
"I had this query for a while. Can you not play cricket with longer hair?" asks Wafa Butt, another host of the show, to which Dar responds: "You absolutely can play with long hair, but for someone who has kept her hair long, it would affect her game."
It is rather commendable to see how Dar continues to keep her calm despite being cornered by everyone present on the show and being exposed to such level of misogyny on live television. The video of this incident has since gone viral on social media with fans completely by the women cricketer’s side in bashing Razzaq for what he said:
So disgusting all these people literally jumped on her. Can't even imagine how much sexism our women cricketers go through @CoolNidadar is a star!! https://t.co/iraupnQCsn
    — a (@rays_alpha) July 14, 2021
It's a shame that Abdul Razzak himself a former cricketer is trying to embarrass a member of Pakistan women's cricket team publicly. The show host are doing the same. Lost even a tiny bit of respect I had for him.
    — Dipu Shaw (@DipuShaw) July 15, 2021
Such a shame that we made people like A.Razzaq heroes of this country but never gave them any training, education on ethics and moral. This is a mindset which we have breed for years.
    — نوید (@Zindadil0) July 15, 2021
This was so painful to watch. Is he so threatened by women who play cricket?
    — madeeha ansari (@madeeha_ansari) July 15, 2021
First Afridi and now Abdul Razzak. This is exactly the mentality Pakistani women have to face every single day and then we ask why are we so left behind. Disgusting!

According to an official, the incident took place around two weeks ago in suburban Jogeshwari. The criminal in the video was identified as Danish Sheikh, who is facing many charges including attempt to murder cases and has been arrested by Jogeshwari Police.
The 15 second video, which circulated on social media, also showed senior inspector Mahendra Nerlekar in his police uniform, and he was seen feeding a piece of cake to Danish on the latter's birthday at the office of a housing society.

When asked about the same, Mr Nerlekar said, "It is an old video. I had gone to that housing society to see some demolition work going on, but some senior citizens there insisted that I visit the society office. I went there, but I was not aware that Danish was also present there with a cake."

There would be hardly any desi household that didn’t turn on their TV every night after dinner just to watch the popular Comedy Nights With Kapil. It seems to be a ritual across the country to tune in to the first ever live comedy show hosted by the very funny Kapil Sharma.

    © Instagram/Kapil Sharma
However, only a few people, probably the die hard fans of the comedian, know that he can do more than tickling your funny bone. He studied from Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar and used to do theatre in college. No wonder, he always wanted to act in movies.

    © Instagram/Kapil Sharma
Kapil recently posted a throwback photo from his college days, where he and his friends are having a “musical session” after the rehearsal. However, here’s the catch. It’s really tough to spot him in the picture. We bet you can’t. And, don’t look in the comments.

    © Instagram/Kapil Sharma
He captioned the photo, “After finishing the rehearsals of our play, musical session with my team,” asking his followers to spot him in the picture. “Find me in the picture N write in comments below [sic]”, he added in the caption.

    © Instagram/Kapil Sharma
Before we tell you which one is him (we had to look through the comments too, TBH), here is what Archana Puran Singh wrote to pull his leg. “Found you @kapilsharma !! Right hand side pe... kaale dupatte mein, hai na...? (It’s you on the right hand side, wearing the black dupatta, isn’t it?”

    © Instagram/Archana Puran Singh
Actually, he is the guy in the blue shirt, wearing glasses and holding a daphli (tambourine) in his hands. Though he looks totally unrecognisable in the photo, a lot of his followers were able to spot him. A user wrote, “Man with blue shirt and spectacles.” Another wrote, “Only boy with specs.”

    © Instagram/Kapil Sharma
His friends from college also commented on the picture, not to find him but reminisce about the college days. His co-star on his talk show, Rajiv Thakur wrote, "Aur main hamesha dukaan pe chala jata tha , jab masti karne ka time aata tha (and I always used to go to the shop when it was time to have fun) @kapilsharma Always missed these sessions”

Could you find him in the picture?

People have had high expectations from Toofan ever since the trailer came out. Just like the audience, my hopes were also high but it all came crashing down.
Farhan Akhtar has teamed up with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for Toofaan after the duo collaborated on Bhaag Milkha Bhaag which was a huge success. However, just a few minutes into Toofaan, you will feel like there’s so much the director wants to say that the film comes across as crammed with content.

It’s the same old formula of presenting a rags-to-riches story, which does evoke many emotions but the film’s momentum drops way too early. On paper, the story is very promising but when it comes to projection, it isn’t that appealing.
    © Amazon Prime Video
The film starts off with a Dongri extortionist named Ajju Bhai played by Farhan seeking a purpose. He gets a certain direction in life after meeting a local doctor, Ananya, played by Mrunal Thakur. She makes him understand that his life is not meant for wasting on his ‘gunda-mawaali’ antics. She gives him a reason to start valuing his life and follow boxing as his passion. We then get to see his training and transformation under Nana Prabhu played by Paresh Rawal.

    © Amazon Prime Video
Well, I can’t tell you all the story here but there's so much happening back to back that it’s tiresome after a certain point in the narrative. Moreover, the love Jihad angle reaffirms the fact that the movie boasts of a lot of cliches when it comes to representing Hindu-Muslim ties.

    © Amazon Prime Video
What also went wrong was that it became predictable and the run-time of about 160 minutes started to seem like a drag. There were sequences that were forcefully added to the narrative, probably to increase the length of the movie. The dialogues also couldn’t add a punch because they felt like they were taken from the old template of a 90s Bollywood movie.

What truly worked, however, were the performances by the actors. Farhan Akhtar maintained a strong grip on his character throughout the film. You won't feel that he is Farhan and not Aziz even for a moment. We have known that Farhan gives his blood and sweat to his characters, and he doesn’t disappoint here too.
    © Amazon Prime Video
Mrunal also does a decent job but if you've seen her in Love Sonia, you'd know that she has a lot more to deliver but is restrained by the script. I genuinely felt that she could have done far better if her character was written in a better manner.

    © Amazon Prime Video
Paresh Rawal never failed to create magic whenever he was on screen and it’s needless to say why he is one of the actors that we need to celebrate way more than we have done so far. His dialogue delivery to his expressions, everything was top-notch. With that being said, I felt there should have been more depth to his character, considering the actor the director had on board.

    © Amazon Prime Video
The talented Vijay Raaz and Darshan Kumar were only reduced to cameos but they both gave strong performances even in that limited time frame. Supriya Pathak’s talent was also grossly wasted but she was a delight whenever she was on screen. Mohan Agashe and Hussain Dalal did get screen space but their characters lacked any purpose.

    © Amazon Prime Video
In a nutshell, Toofaan is a not-so-stormy boxing drama and could have been far better if Rakesyh Omprakash Mehra hadn't resorted to old templates of presenting a story based on sports.

Veteran Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is arguably the most skillful bowler in world cricket at the moment and the secret to his success lies in the fact that he is never satisfied with the end result and always strives to try something new.
The amount of variations the off-spinner has up his arsenal makes it difficult for any batsman to pick his deliveries and Ashwin has no plans of giving any sort of respite to the English batsmen in the upcoming five-match Test series.
    © Instagram/Ravichandran Ashwin
Despite being one of the senior-most players in the Indian cricket team, Ashwin doesn’t take his job for granted, setting a perfect example for the youngsters to follow. When most of his teammates were busy enjoying their three-week break, Ashwin finished his vacation early and decided to spend the last few days playing a county match for Surrey.

It is a well known fact that an off-spinner uses his fingers to bowl different variations but not all bowlers experiment with their bowling action because it’s the most difficult thing to do for any bowler except Ashwin.
Very admirable and proactive of Ravi Ashwin to take up the opportunity of a game for @surreycricket & snuff a 6 wkt haul. Locked in a nice battle with Jack Leach at the Oval. Nice Test Summer ahead.
    — Ian Raphael Bishop (@irbishi) July 14, 2021
When he turned up for Surrey, all eyes were on him and even he knew that the opposition batsmen would be watching him.
With not much help from the pitch, things didn’t go his way in the first innings and all he could manage was one wicket. In the second innings, he wreaked havoc and ran through Somerset’s batting line-up picking up six wickets and rang a bell or two in the opposition camp ahead of the series.
Watch all six wickets for @ashwinravi99 at The Kia Oval this morning, as Somerset were bowled out for just 69.

    @DelhiCapitals @BCCI pic.twitter.com/4ybYW4dAno
    — Surrey Cricket (@surreycricket) July 14, 2021
While most fans marvelled at the end result, not many observed that Ashwin had made a slight change in his bowling action, bringing his right arm over right shoulder before releasing the ball. Playing on spin-friendly tracks in India, Ashwin didn’t load up in the same manner and it clearly suggests that he has made this slight adjustment with the England series in mind.
Meanwhile after making 420 in the first innings Somerset have been bowled by Surrey for 69 in the 2nd innings with Ashwin getting 6-27. Not a bad way to get ready for some test matches!
    — Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha) July 14, 2021
The last time India won a Test series on English soil was way back in 2007 under Rahul Dravid’s leadership. If the Virat Kohli-led side plays to its full potential, they have a realistic chance of beating England and they are totally aware of that.
The series becomes all the more important because it marks the beginning of the second edition of the World Test Championship, hence would like to start their fresh campaign on a winning note.
It is Ashwin's attitude and work ethic which has made him such a fantastic bowler for India. Match figure of 7/126 was just a bonus. Getting 58 overs to bowl in a first class game ahead of a very important series is a great sign.
    @ashwinravi99
    — R P Singh रुद्र प्रताप सिंह (@rpsingh) July 14, 2021
It remains to be seen if Ashwin’s tweaked bowling action could be the game-changer or not but one thing is for sure that it has definitely created some doubts in the minds of the opposition players... and for us it's already a win.

The rains offer a much-needed reprieve from the scorching heat of summer, as well as a great deal of romance, but they also bring dampness. The humidity in the air is bad enough to induce hair loss, frizz, and dandruff, the ultimate evil.
As a result of the humid weather, your scalp sweats, providing a breeding ground for germs and fungi. Not to mention the grime and grease that gets sucked into this sticky mess if your head is in the rain for even a few seconds. And, because we don't want your mane to get in the way of you enjoying the monsoons!
Hair Care Tips For The Monsoon:1. Wash Your Hair On Alternative DaysRainwater is acidic by nature, and it can cause damage to your hair and scalp. Natural shampoos and conditioners that are sulphate-free are essential for keeping your scalp clean, rejuvenated, and nourished.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2093__
If it becomes wet in the rain, wash it right away, regardless of the timetable. If you have naturally oily hair, wash it every 2-3 days to avoid over-stripping it of its natural oils. But if you have coloured hair then you need to use specific shampoo and care for it accordingly.
    2. Avoid styling products © iStock
Over-styling your hair with gels and wax isn't a good idea right now. More sweating and dandruff are likely as a result of the extra moisture. Choose water-based products and sea salt hair sprays if you can't live without styling your hair.

    3. Keep your mane dry © MensXP
Don't leave your hair wet for an extended period of time, whether you just took a shower or played football in the rain. Hair breakage can also be caused by rubbing a towel vigorously against your hair to dry it. Instead, dab your hair with a towel and squeeze out the extra moisture. A blow dryer is also an option when rushing to get ready.

    4. Conditioner? AbsolutelyTo combat frizz and keep your hair smooth and manageable, you'll need a powerful conditioner. If you have oily hair, though, a moderate conditioner will help to balance the moisture.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2094__
If you have a shampoo that works for your curly hair, there's no need to switch to something new during the monsoon, but if you have frizzy hair, you should also use a hair mask. Apply an anti-frizz cream containing shea butter, jojoba/almond oil, or other moisturising components all over your strands, especially the ends, if you have straight, floppy hair.
    5. A short haircut © iStock
If you're not too committed to your hair and are prepared to try something new, a buzz cut or a crew cut can be a good option. You can even go for a beautiful undercut, which gives you more freedom with your mane. These hairstyles are easy to maintain and will take care of half of your monsoon hair worries.

    6. Regular OilingAnother monsoon hair care advice is to use coconut oil as a natural conditioner 15-20 minutes before shampooing.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1580__
Coconut oil makes your hair greasy and reduces the quantity of water your hair soaks up while you're washing it. It also treats a variety of scalp issues. If you have curly hair, however, avoid using oil and instead use a gel-based serum.
    7. Use The Right Hair Brush__ECOMPRODUCT__2095__
It's crucial to use the correct kind of comb to avoid excessive frizz and damage caused by tangling. Because of the increased humidity, a wide-tooth comb is recommended to avoid breakage and aid in the dispersion of natural scalp oils.
To Wrap UpEvery season brings its own challenges for your hair and skin, so while having a regular care regimen helps, it is important to tweak it as per the weather. The care regimen should majorly depend on the type of hair you have. Whether curly, straight, frizzy or oily, it is important to understand what your hair needs so that you always end up with smooth and healthy locks.

Former Indian skipper and the current President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Sourav Ganguly has spoken about wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant contracting the COVID-19 virus in the United Kingdom.
Pant tested positive with the virus shortly after his visit to the Wembley stadium where he watched the EURO 2020 match between England and Germany on June 30. The cricketer went on to share a few pictures from the experience on the internet but his fans were quick to notice that he wasn’t wearing a mask.
    View this post on Instagram
“We have seen Euro Championship and Wimbledon in England. Rules have changed (with the crowd being allowed inside venues). They were on leave and it’s physically impossible to wear mask all the time,” Ganguly told News18.
Asked about whether he is worried about the Indian squad who are gearing up for the Test series against England after Pant’s case came to light, Ganguly replied: “No worries. They will be fine.”

On Thursday, when the news of Pant getting the virus was first made public, the BCCI also shared that they had recommended the cricketers to avoid going to famous or crowded places, for instance the EURO 2020 matches or the Wimbledon.
Still, while players like Rishabh Pant and Jasprit Bumrah visited the Football games, head coach Ravi Shastri was spotted at the Wimbledon final.

“Pant, who had not stayed in the team hotel during the break period, tested positive on 8th July. He is asymptomatic and currently undergoing self-isolation at the place where he reported positive. He is being closely monitored by the BCCI Medical Team and is on his way to recovery. He will be able to join the squad in Durham after returning two negative RT-PCR tests,” BCCI said on Thursday.
“The BCCI Medical Team have identified B. Arun, Bowling Coach, Wriddhiman Saha and Abhimanyu Easwaran as close contacts of Garani, who was in the team hotel when he tested positive following RT-PCR tests on 14th July. The four personnel will undergo 10-day isolation and will remain in their respective rooms in the team hotel in London,” BCCI added.

Wasim Jaffer and Michael Vaughan are two of the most popular cricketers on Twitter and both of them often engage in hilarious banters, providing great entertainment to their fans.
They never miss any opportunity to pull each other’s leg and fans love the manner in which they do that but most of the time, it is Vaughan who ends up getting trolled by Indian supporters.

It seems the former England skipper hasn’t learned anything from his past experiences and despite knowing that he would be brutally trolled by scores of Indian fans, he decided to take a dig at the former Indian opener.

Jaffer recently signed a two-year deal to become the head coach of Odisha and Vaughan decided to pull his leg and asked: “Does he need an assistant”.

Jaffer has shut Vaughan down many times in the past but it wasn’t needed this time around as Indian fans took charge on his behalf and showed him his right place.

I think you’re not done by getting trolled from him..why don’t you apply for his water boy’s post!! @hd_679

    — Siddharth (@Siddhar96550378) July 16, 2021Vaughan has become famous for making wrong predictions about India’s matches, something which passionate Indian supporters don’t like and they never leave any opportunity to troll him.
The same thing happened this time as well, as most of the fans took his request rather seriously and told him that the only job they see him doing any sort of justice is carrying drinks to the ground.
Yes Indeed. It’s very hot out there in India and probably he needs constant water supply. So yes, you will be good fit as a water boy. My two cents🏻

    — Phaneendra (@phanee_s) July 15, 2021Vaughan has made it a habit of his to rile up Indian fans with his tweets and Jaffer has often trolled him in his using style.
During the World Test Championship final, Jaffer had used an epic Lagaan meme to hit back at Vaughan who had made Indian fans angry by yet another tweet against the Indian team.

To the frustration of millions of Indian fans, play was abandoned without a ball bowled on the opening day of the WTC final.

However, Vaughan riled the Indian fans by tweeting that the Indian players should consider themselves lucky that the English weather came as a blessing in disguise for them and they could avoid  the humiliation.

Jaffer silenced him using a meme from Amir Khan-starrer Lagaan and reminded Vaughan that his home country England weren’t even good enough to make it to the final.

Valve announced a portable gaming machine called the “Steam Deck” which is the company’s long-rumoured Switch-Inspired console. The device will begin to ship in December, however it’s not certain whether the Steam Deck will be available in India as of now.
The device is powered by an AMD APU containing a quad-core Zen 2 CPU with eight threads and eight compute units’ worth of AMD RDNA 2 graphics. The Steam Deck also has 16GB of RAM and comes in three storage options. The Steam Deck will be available in 64GB eMMC storage, 256GB NVMe SSD and 512GB NVMe SSD variants. You can also expand the storage using the high-speed microSD slot.

The Steam Deck also comes with a 1280 x 800 touchscreen for 720p gameplay, a D-pad, two thumbtacks and Xbox inspired face buttons. The device also has a shoulder button, a gyroscope for motion controls and four mappable back buttons. It also comes with built-in microphones for multiplayer games, a 3.5mm headphone jack and support for Bluetooth audio connectivity as well.

As for battery life, the Steam Deck can last anywhere between 2-8 hours depending on which game you’re playing and in what conditions. “Steam Deck’s onboard 40 watt-hour battery provides several hours of playtime for most games,” Valve says. “For lighter use cases like game streaming, smaller 2D games, or web browsing, you can expect to get the maximum battery life of approximately 7-8 hours.” Valve also mentioned you can play Portal 2 for four hours and for about 5-6 hours if you limit the frame rate to 30FPS.

Since the Steam Deck has a USB-C port, it can connect to any external display with a dongle although Valve will also be selling a separate dock at some point. Valve says, "the Deck can be plugged into your TV, monitor, or even your old CRT if you have the right cables.” The deck will also contain an HDMI port, Ethernet and USB ports.

The Steam Deck runs on SteamOS, however you can install any third-party launcher or software that you can run on a desktop PC. The Steam Deck also sounds like a powerhouse for PC gamers who would like to take their Steam library with them on the go. If you’re wondering how much it costs, the 64GB eMMC storage version will retail for $399 (Rs 29,768), 256GB NVMe SSD storage for $529 (Rs 39,467), and 512GB of high-speed NVME SSD storage for $649 (Rs 48,420).
