Forget your movies and your lengthy TV shows that go on for ages. Some of the best stories that you will ever see comes in the form of miniseries.

Want to binge-watch an exciting show, but cannot sit through eight or nine seasons of mindless droning?

    © Marvel Studios
A good miniseries is a perfect choice to go for, as they don’t require any sort of commitment. Heck, there are some really entertaining shows that you can binge-watch on a lazy Sunday, and trust us, that is a day well spent.

    © Netflix
Here are 7 epic miniseries that if you find committing to a long and lengthy series too tiring and stifling.
    1. WandaVision
Of course, this is on the list. Marvel fans had been demanding a separate movie for Wanda Maximoff and Vision, and they got something even better. If you’ve been living under a rock and still haven’t seen WandaVision, you don’t know what you’re missing out on.
    2. Loki
Another gem of a miniseries from Marvel, Loki kicked off Phase 4 with a bang. The Marvel Universe was anyway a rich a one, made with nuance that consisted of layers after layers. Loki enriched the MCU in an unbelievable manner. If you’ve ever enjoyed anything by Marvel, this is a series that you have to watch.
    3. Chernobyl
If you enjoy shows and series that are made on a historical subject and is made very accurately, you’ve got to watch Chernobyl. What’s beautiful about the show is how the story unfolds. The show begins with the explosion and goes on to show why the explosion took place and the actions of the men who tried to control the damage. It genuinely ties you to the edge of your seat.
    4. The Queen’s Gambit
Whether you like chess or not, you cannot deny that The Queen’s Gambit is a brilliantly made show. The show is aesthetically well made, but more importantly, it has a great story. If you really enjoy a good coming of age story, very few other stories come close.
    5. When They See Us
When They See Us is basically a story about 5 young boys of colour, who get wrongfully convicted for a rape they did not commit. Again, just like Chernobyl, this is a cinematic retelling of a real-life incident. The journey of the boys, and how their convictions were overturned 12 years after they were sentenced, is what makes the show really compelling to watch. You really connect with the convicted characters, even though, there are shades of grey in everyone.
    6. The Haunting Of Hill House
Yes, The Haunting Of Hill House does qualify as a miniseries, even though, there was a subsequent series called The Haunting Of Bly Manor. Barring some of the actors and the creators, both the shows were as different as chalk and cheese. The Haunting Of Hill House is a beautifully made horror miniseries, that really takes into account the human psyche. Yes, there are a few jump scares here and there. However, the intent of the show is not to scare you witless, but rather to make you think, what exactly haunts you.
    7. Special Mention - Delhi Crime
Now, a special mention has to go to Delhi Crime. That you should watch it for the stellar performances, goes without saying. However, the main reason why anyone should watch this miniseries, is how this series was made. Certain details that the public never got to know from the news or the police, were shown in the series, and in a very sensitive manner. The filmmakers did not go over the top with anything. Still, do keep in mind that this one is not for the faint of heart.
What other miniseries or limited series do you think is a must-watch for everyone? Do let us know in the comments below.

For a long time Bollywood had been suffering from a particular kind of colour blindness. Somehow, everywhere you’d look you’d only see fair, white skinned faces playing leading roles. Almost as if it was a prerequisite to becoming a star in this cutthroat industry.
In recent years though, Bollywood seems to have slowly woken up to the diversity available in our vast country. The same diversity that had long been appreciated in Hollywood and other international film industries.
Here are seven actors who’ve made their mark on an industry that’s still hesitant about dark skin representation:
Vicky Kaushal He’s come a long way from  playing the deeply grounded Deepak in Masaan. Vicky has experienced a stratospheric rise in the industry in recent years and has become a reliable name in the industry. His brooding good looks have also won him admiration from his fans and finds his name held at the same standard as the top brass of Bollywood.

Dhanush Tamil superstar Dhanush needs no introduction. He’s a force to be reckoned with and stands shoulder to shoulder with the giants of cinema. Dhanush is able to completely mould himself into the character he essays. His versatility has given us hits like Asuran and Vada Chennai.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui Few actors have experienced struggle and discrimination the way Nawazuddin has. However, his talent has shone through brightly. Whether it be as the maniacal Gaitonde in Sacred Games or as the famed author Manto, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is a bonafide tour de force in Bollywood now.

Ajay Devgn At a time when the fairer Khans were omnipresent in Bollywood films, Ajay Devgn was making a name for himself as the gritty action star with a sensitive side. Safe to say, today, he's put on the same pedestal by his fans as the Khans. You can spot him in action in his upcoming film, Bhuj.

Suniel Shetty Ageing like fine wine, Suniel Shetty looks better today than he ever did. Even though he might not be as visible on screen as he once was, he's still got fans swooning and crooning on social media over his age-defying good looks.

Kunal Nayyar The lad from The Big Bang Theory may have played the socially awkward Raj, but he’s a real lady killer in real life. He’s married to former Miss India Neha Kapur.
    View this post on Instagram
Sendhil Ramamurthy He’s gorgeously played pivotal characters in several popular American TV series like Heroes, Grey’s Anatomy and the recent Netflix series Never Have I Ever. His devilishly handsome looks have earned him a devoted fan base across the globe.

Their journeys might not have been easy but we’re glad these handsome Indian actors have come out on top of their craft and are finally getting the admiration they deserve.

Most men are rather simple creatures, at least when it comes to their thoughts.
They don’t overthink an action or don’t run words in their mind before uttering them. Most men don’t even do things with an intent (good or bad) and do or say things as and when it crosses their minds.
However, thanks to the patriarchal norms and gender stereotypes set by society, all men are seen from one lens.
    © Yash Raj Films
The ‘he said, she heard’ concept couldn’t get any more real. Everything a man does or says even when a man is genuinely helping or being friendly to a woman, the opposite gender, sometimes, misinterprets his actions and presumes that the only reason he’s doing it is because he wants something.

    © Yash Raj Films
Here are some of the few things that men do without are highly misunderstood by most women:

    1. Being Friendly Means Being Interested © iStock
A man being friendly is simply too hard to digest, especially, for a woman. It is always backed with a doubt that he wants something more. Why else would he be nice to you? Maybe he is just sweet and polite to everyone?

When a man compliments a woman, it is often wrongly taken as flirting and if he goes out of his way to help her, it is viewed as a sole effort to get into her pants. Not true.
    2. Interrupting A Woman Deemed As Insulting   © iStock
It happens all the time that when a man is interrupted by a woman, no one says anything about how rude it is to cut someone in when they are speaking but when the opposite happens, the man is lectured by the whole room about how insulting it is to the woman.

Also, it is taken as an act to lower the woman’s voice which gets a bit dramatic and unnecessary at times. The guy is just trying to get his point across.
    3. Chivalry Mistaken For Closet Sexism  © iStock
There is a fine line between chivalry and chauvinism and it often gets blurred.

However, even when men genuinely want to help women carry that super heavy suitcase or offer to file their girlfriend’s taxes, they are accused of being sexists who think women can’t handle their stuff on their own just because they are ‘women’.
Not all men help women because they are weak or any less, but simply because they want to be of assistance.
    4. Simple Explaining Branded As Mansplaining  © iStock
Mansplaining is telling a woman what she already probably knows in a condescending and patronising way.

A lot of men think women don’t know shit and feel obligated to explain every single thing to them. However, it’s not necessary that every man does it to put women down.
A lot of men like to share knowledge and enlighten people they care about and unless it is done in a demeaning manner, it shouldn’t be taken otherwise.
    5. Expression Is Often Misunderstood  © iStock
Men are conditioned to keep their feelings bottled up and that’s how this stereotype about men not feeling pain or emotions started.

When they do show emotions, they are branded oversensitive, cowards or a wuss not worthy of being with. On the other hand, when men don't show any emotions and don't express their feelings, they are called heartless and callous. It’s like men can never win.

There are a number of reasons why a movie would stay with us long after we’ve seen it. Sometimes, it’s because of the crazy locations, iconic characters, impressive plot, a wardrobe to die for or a cast that makes us drool over them.
And while all those are legit reasons to obsess over a film, one more that makes it to the list is a select few monologues that ended up becoming the entire essence of the movie.
    © Rising Sun Films
Those one-take long and intense monologues in the perfect moment with the most accurate dialogue deliveries that have made a special place in our hearts, hit us right in the spot no matter how many times we watch it.

Here is a list of a few of them that managed to outshine the entire movie:
    1. Shah Rukh Khan from 'Chak De India'
The ‘Yeh 70 minute’ speech that didn’t just move us during the climax of the movie but also went on to etch itself in our hearts. This monologue still stands to be one of the best ones out there.

Shah Rukh Khan outdid himself in the scene, and we would be lying if we didn’t admit to going back to this speech a few times we needed some motivation in life.
    2. Kartik Aaryan in 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama'
The most popular and relatable one, this one soon became the anthem for every other man out there who was asked ‘ki problem kya hai?’ while being in a relationship.
The frustration, the punches, everything made this monologue earn its iconic status it has today, not to forget, giving Kartik Aaryan the boost he needed in his career.
    3. Vidya Balan in 'The Dirty Picture'
While the entire movie based on the life of famous ‘Silk Smitha’ was one we’d never be able to forget, there was a particular scene in the movie where Vidya Balan’s character breaks all silence on stereotypes and delivers an unabashed monologue.

Her 2-minute-long monologue ends up dropping almost 200 truth bombs and in what style!
    4. Amitabh Bachchan in 'Pink'
One of the most riveting monologues in Bollywood, the way Amitabh Bachchan’s character delivers his closing statement in the courtroom, literally taking the mask off of the society that has often believed in victim-blaming, especially when the victim is a woman, gives us goosebumps every single time.
    After all, ‘No means no’.
    5. Naseeruddin Shah in 'A Wednesday'
A movie that showed us the struggles and the frustrations of a common man who feels scared to step out of his house, the famous monologue with the famous line, “Aapke ghar cockroach aate hai toh aap kya karte hai? Aap usko paalte nahi, maarte hai!..” resonated with almost every Indian who saw this movie. Repeatedly. Only for this scene.

    6. Sunny Deol in 'Damini'
“Tareekh pe tareekh. Tareekh pe tareekh. Tareekh milti rahi hai milord. Lekin insaaf nahi mila!”

A dialogue that we don’t just imitate during every social gathering with Bollywood buffs, but also one that has stayed with us long after its release.
Sunny Deol’s power-packed monologue in the courtroom stole the limelight from the entire movie.
    7. Amitabh Bachchan in 'Deewar'
The movie that gave birth to the iconic dialogue ‘Aaj khush toh bohot hoge tum?’, was also the movie where Amitabh Bachchan established himself as ‘The Angry Young Man’ of Bollywood, especially after his monologue in the temple where he goes in a desperate attempt to ask for his mother’s life.

The speech has clearly been immortalised!

In this current world of fierce competition between the biggest companies fighting for the top spot in the market, we rarely see a gesture of cooperation or love between rival firms.
    © iStock
Be it Apple or Samsung, Xbox or Playstation, Pepsi or Coca Cola, everyone wants to be better than the other, and that's why we don't really see them lauding each other very often.

    © iStock
Well, that trend was certainly changed by a heartwarming gesture from a 'big' company in India.

In what is considered to be the biggest example of sportsmanship and respect, Indian food delivery company, Swiggy sent a lovely good luck message to rivals Zomato for opening its IPO for subscription on Wednesday (July 14).
    © VCCircle
The message was sent across to Zomato by Swiggy Executive Harnidh Kaur, who took to Twitter to write, "Cheering our friends on because we all grow together. Best of luck for the IPO, Zomato!"

    — harnidh (@chiaseedpuddin) July 14, 2021
While the message was, of course, sent as a gesture of enhancing camaraderie between the two biggest food delivery giants in India, people noted how Swiggy was smart enough to capitalize on their rival's big day.

"Love how they turned this into an ad for themselves. Smart move." wrote one Twitter user.

This is called low cost marketing
    — Anees (@Anees26690556) July 14, 2021Well, Swiggy's good luck message definitely came at the right time as Zomato founder, Deepinder Goyal, had already admitted of being guilty of stress eating owing to the huge buzz around Zomato IPO being opened today.

Goyal took to Twitter to share that he had ordered what was a triple breakfast in a bid to keep his mind at rest ahead of what was surely a big day for the food delivery giant.

Just ordered a triple breakfast @zomato. Stress eating 🤯
    — Deepinder Goyal (@deepigoyal) July 14, 2021— Deepinder Goyal (@deepigoyal) July 14, 2021Following his tweets, Zomato head Rahul Ganjoo, also echoed similar thoughts using a gif.

    — Rahul Ganjoo (@elegantlywasted) July 14, 2021
The Gurgaon-headquartered food delivery giant's Rs 9,375 crores initial public offering (IPO) will be open for subscription for three days, with the company pricing its IPO at Rs 72-76 per share.

There is bound to be a lot of excitement and tension on such a tremendous development within the company touted to have a great future in the country. However, it appeared that the breakfast sure helped to a certain extent, with Goyal taking to Twitter again.

    — Deepinder Goyal (@deepigoyal) July 14, 2021
So, if there's one thing to learn from this, it is that no matter whether you're the founder of Zomato or just an ordinary guy, a good breakfast sure helps you go a long way. Good luck, Zomato!

In a day and age when most celebrities spend a considerable amount of time thinking about their public appearance and what clothes they should wear, MS Dhoni comes as a breath of fresh air.
Despite being one of the biggest names in world cricket, the former Indian wicket-keeper is known for his simple lifestyle and is miles away from fitting into the norms of an ideal celebrity, despite that, whatever he does on and off the field becomes a huge talking point.

Recently, a few pictures of ‘Thala’ eating lunch with his old friends at a garage went viral online and fans loved the simplicity of the Chennai Super Kings skipper.
Fans praised that despite being such a big superstar, he continues to live his life the normal way -- something which is a rare commodity these days.
The fact that Dhoni cared less about the ambience and enjoyed the food with his old mates at the garage was enough to win over the internet.

More than his clothes, Dhoni’s hairstyle has undergone more changes but this time he has decided to give his hair a break and experiment with his moustache.
Mahi celebrated his 40th birthday last week and the effects of his age have started reflecting on his appearance, most notably on his hair, moustache and beard.
However, what fans loved about him was that instead of hiding behind chemicals, Dhoni has accepted the changes that occur with age and has embraced them.

You shared some wonderful times with this person, being there through thick and thin, helping them navigate through some of the roughest parts of their lives as well. But now you’ve reached an impasse. There’s barely any energy left in you to invest in this friendship. And you know you’ve tried your level best to be the friend that they need you to be, but have they for once reciprocated any of your efforts?
Nobody likes it when a friendship turns toxic. I'd much rather move ahead in hopes that things would get better someday. But reality is that unless we are honest and upfront about our feelings, this toxic relationship will only get worse.
Here are five warning signs that your friendship has turned toxic and that it’s time to have an honest conversation:
    1. Over-possessive Who doesn’t like feeling wanted or needed? I enjoy the odd occasion when people are possessive over me. I’ll be honest, It even gives me an ego boost at times. However, this possessiveness turns toxic when they start demanding all of your time and attention, flip out when you’re hanging out with other friends and start making you feel like shit for having a life of your own. Just because you’re best friends doesn’t mean your lives have to be completely co-dependent.
    © iStock
    2. Uncalled Rudeness Every relationship has its own boundaries. My closest friends and I are comfortable trashing each other verbally. But this does not mean that they get a free pass for being a dick all the time, especially in front of others. Bullying someone under the guise of close friendship is a definite red flag.
    © iStock
    3. Emotional Vampires Your phone rings and you pick it up, it’s your friend calling you. They tell you about everything that bothered them that day, and once they’re feeling better they drop off. Friendships are meant to support and nurture each other, but if it’s beginning to feel increasingly one-sided, then you’ve got an emotional vampire at your hand. If you try asking for help, they’re gonna ghost you faster than a vampire hiding from sunlight. You can try and try to always be there for them, but they’ll never be there for you. Sooner or later, all the emotional labour you’ve done will be long forgotten.
    © iStock
    4. Forever Drama You’ve got to be honest with yourself if spending time with them has begun to feel like a burden. Ask yourself why? Does it have anything to do with the constant barrage of drama you’re subjected to? If just being friends with them feels like a stressful game of minesweeper, then either plan a conversation for clarity or plan your escape route.
    © iStock
    5. Passive-Aggressive Guilting You’re a person with your own personal tastes and preferences. And you’re allowed to have that. But if your friend likes to make you feel bad or tries guilting you for them, try to engage in a conversation. But if the passive aggressive snarky remarks don’t stop, then it’s time to ask yourself what you’re actually gaining from this friendship.
    © iStock
Friendships aren’t meant to feel like an additional burden to your lives. Yes, there may be situations where you might go through rough patches with your friends, but you shouldn’t be left constantly mentally exhausted trying to fix that equation.

Since I cannot speak out of my own experience here, or lack thereof since I am a woman, I will go ahead and speak from the perspective of a spectator who has found herself spotting one too many awkward boners around her in public.
Whether it is a social gathering, at the dance floor, within the office premises, or while simply walking your dog, having a chance encounter with a guy whose trousers are coming on to you, even when he isn't, has been common.
And while as a woman, it is easy to make a face and walk away, I can only imagine the embarrassment and absolute discomfort for a man.
    © Emenox Media
And so, you don’t have to be that guy whose actions speak louder than his words, whether it is because your friend’s mom was hotter than you expected or because a girl tried playing footsie with you under the table at a family function, here are some tips that might come in handy (pun intended).

Here are 5 ways to save yourself from any awkwardness that comes with an unwanted boner:
    1. Bend It Like Beckham  © iStock
Except what you’ll be bending here won’t be your balls but your knees to give you some cover.

The best way to buy yourself time until your erection settles down is by pulling your legs closer to your chest and making a mountain out of them.
This way, no one would be able to spot you in your weak(hard) moment.
    2. Pocket-Grab © iStock
One of the quickest ways to get your guard down is by attempting to grab it from inside your pocket and holding it against your leg until it is safe to release it.

Think of it as restraining the little rebellious fellow, but try and conduct this experiment only when you have enough cover to stand with a hand in your pocket.
    3. Flex It © iStock
By that, I don’t mean stand there proud of it, because that boner will guarantee your transition into a loner, but that you should flex your thigh muscles when this happens.

For almost a minute, try to silently flex both your thigh muscles by shifting your weight on your toes and focussing hard. But hey, not too hard...
    4. Power Of Imagination © iStock
Let's suppose you find yourself in a setting that isn’t just inappropriate for you to have your 'soldier at attention', but also gives you minimum bandwidth to do something about it.

The best way to get your cadet at ease is by imagining something that will be a total turn off. Maybe an old and ailing relative (but of course in a platonic way), a recent cringe-worthy moment, the last time you cried or simply those questionable food videos where people eat gulab jamun with Maggi! That ought to do the trick.
    5. Run © iStock
And no, that doesn’t mean you need to sprint.

But when nothing else works, just excuse yourself to rush to a nearby washroom and hide out there until you’re ready to step out without one of those unwanted pop-ups.

A Hyderabad based software engineer who ran the illegal app ‘Thop TV’ has been arrested by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell. Satish Venkateshwarlu was arrested for distributing pirated content ripped off from OTT platforms and satellite channels. He has been remanded to seven days of police custody by a Mumbai court.
Sanjay Shintre, SP, Maharashtra Cyber told media, “Maharashtra Cyber cell has done a technical investigation into the FIR and accordingly we have arrested one culprit from Hyderabad. The culprit had used Thop TV as a platform and as an app. He primarily provided free content on Telegram.”
    © APKPure
Thop TV became popular amongst internet users as it charged a very nominal fee of Rs 35 to let users stream premium content on the app. The Thop TV app would also host live streams of Indian TV channels from Star, Jio, Airtel and other DTH providers. The app would also provide content from streaming apps such as Netflix, HotStar, Prime Video and other regional OTT platforms. Thop TV’s service has been taken offline since the arrest and the app has stopped working for users who already had it installed as well.

    © nahel-abdul-hadi-unsplash
The 28-year-old digital pirate had been operating the app from his home for the past two years. It had lakhs of subscribers including paid customers. Satish was arrested after a complaint was filed by Viacom 18 Media Private Limited, along with another broadcaster. The broadcasters approached the Maharashtra Cyber Cell and informed them that Thop TV was transmitting content without authorisation.

The platform was also abused by users who wanted to watch live sports, movies and TV shows. The police have now booked Satish for cheating and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
Many users of the app reacted to the news with memes on Twitter:
