It seems like Manoj Bajpayee's The Family Man web series was the one thing on Indian OTT platforms that everyone in the country had been talking about for the longest time.

There had been so much craze around the recent release of the second season of the show, something which has been usually familiar with the shows of the West such as Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and others.

This truly goes on to show that you just need a talented cast, good direction to revolve around a perfect plot to really garner love from fans all around.

In fact, such has been the success of the show featuring Bajpayee, Samantha Akkineni, and Sharib Hashmi, that it has been put under the coveted top 100 list of most popular TV shows in the world by IMDb.

Not only that, under the list, it sits at the fourth position just behind Marvel's Loki starring Tom Hiddleston, the new Netflix original, Sweet Tooth, and Mare of Easttown starring Kate Winslet.

And what will certainly be cherry on top for creators Raj & DK, The Family Man has gone ahead of the likes of cult shows like FRIENDS and Game of Thrones.

Well, it indeed was some emphatic news for Raj & DK, who took to Instagram to share the news with fans.

The rankings for the shows are all based on user votes, with the global rankings constantly changing with time according to the preferences of the viewers.

However, what certainly cements The Family Man's status as an elite TV show not just in India but across the world, is that it is the only Indian show that appears in the top 100 list of IMDb.

Now, following the success of the second season, Raj and DK spoke about where Season 3 of the show would be heading.

“The story was always there. Not that particular scene (the last sequence) but the idea of where the show is heading was always there even as we wrote season two. As we were discussing season two, we were discussing other ideas that are going to come later. So we knew where it was heading, what world it was going to focus on, and what kind of things are going into it,” said the creators while speaking with Indianexpress.com.

*You and your partner are back home after a tiring day, it’s too late to cook so you just suggest ordering in instead. Food arrives quicker than usual and as your beau walks up to the kitchen to grab the silverware, she spots the kitchen sink full of dirty dishes. And yes, it was your turn.
Food gets kept aside, harsh words get exchanged, and bam! You find yourself out in the living room, without dinner and trying to fit yourself on an old couch that is far from comfortable to sleep in.*
You see, that most couples get into squabbles is not news. After all, disagreements too are a healthy part of a relationship. But what is not is it turning into a feud that will almost always result in you both losing. While it is tempting to try and win an argument, especially when the stakes are high, what it most certainly isn't, is worth it.
    © iStock
Which is why it is often advised to try and diffuse the tension, instead of letting your emotions get the best of you in the middle of a heated debate. And here are some easy ways to do that without being banished to the couch!
Pick the right time and place
Instead of letting your emotions cloud your judgement and throwing a fit as soon as you feel upset with your partner, take a moment to contemplate whether it is the right time and place to have a volcanic meltdown. Wait it out till you’re both alone and extend the courtesy of having the discussion in private, as it should be.
Avoid getting sucked into the blame game
One of the easiest instincts during an argument is always to brush yourself off of any blame and accuse the partner for starting the fight. Even so, it is best to always be mindful of the finger you point and remind yourself that in the end, it is you both against the world, not each other!
    © iStock
    Don’t get personal

The main reason why arguments between couples escalate in a nanosecond is always because one of the two ends up getting down and dirty to win a fight. Whether it is dragging in an old issue, or someone’s mother into the debate, chances are if you do that, there is no coming back. Try and keep your arguments strictly to the problem at hand and steer clear of personal remarks!
    Listen
An underrated yet effective advice, it is said that the best way around a disagreement is not to argue, but simply to listen. Which by instinct, we do not. Keep your calm and try to hear your partner out during a squabble, without cutting in between. It could be that just by listening to their point of view, you may be able to understand where they’re coming from.
    Use logic, not volume
‘If logic doesn’t work, volume won’t’. The moment you start to raise your voice in a fight and lose your temper, losing the plot won’t be too far away. The louder you are, the more offensive you’re bound to be to your partner. So avoid letting the neighbors in on what you two are bickering about.

    If you overstep, apologise

Losing track of what you two were originally fighting about is common between couples during an argument. Which is why, everytime you end up going astray and saying something out of line, it is always better to be the bigger person and apologise for crossing the line.
    Learn to agree to disagree
As long as you’re both trying to ‘win’ an argument, chances are you both will end up losing. Simply because you won’t be arguing to understand but only to win, and that never does good to anybody. At the end of the day, make it about finding middle ground and agreeing to disagree with each other.

It was just last week when we noticed that Abhishek Bachchan might have the best sneaker collection than most celebrities in Bollywood. Well, now it seems Tiger Shroff is also reigning supreme in the footwear department. Not with his sneakers, but by wearing classic pairs of chappals. Speaking more into his fashion game, Tiger keeps things basic and straightforward; hence, him wearing sliders or chappals doesn't surprise us.

He is someone who will wear the wackiest of clothes and still make a statement whilst also grabbing all the attention. Time and again, we have seen him choose functional style over trends. He has a rather distinct taste in fashion, and this time too, as he was spotted, he stunned us with another weird combination. Check it out.

    © Viral Bhayani
Tiger was seen pulling off a tank T-shirt, which could be tricky to carry for many. The graphic details on the black number add to the simple aesthetics. It's a dope addition if you ask us. On top of that, Tiger likes to keep his accessory game minimal. This time he chose to combine a silver layered neckpiece that makes for an incredible fashion-forward look right now.

    © Viral Bhayani
Shroff pushed the sartorial envelope again by wearing the longest white pants we saw in a while. There's something inevitably relaxed and dare I say cool about the elongated pants. Oversize tailoring certainly cancelled jeans, cropped pants in 2020. Moreover, most shoe trends play well with the longer hems.

Considering the weather conditions in Mumbai right now, Tiger certainly made a brave style move. Another thing that strikes us about this look, are his chappals. Given, that these are most comfortable in the rainy season, but pairing it with socks? Really? This left us scratching our heads, tbh. But that's just how Tiger likes to keep his fashion game on fire.

The pandemic made one thing clear - wear what makes you comfortable, and it looks like Tiger took this statement a tad bit seriously. Instead of succumbing to the old, conventional idea of just wearing chappals, we like how he has stylishly reiterated the fashion blunder.
Now, we definitely want in with this trend and can't wait to try it out!

In another bizarre incident, a US-based woman was in splits when she woke up after a night out to check her bank balance.
She was $50 billion in debt. She had around $76 when she went for a night out and then she ended up being in a huge debt.
Maddie McGivern got a call the next morning from the bank saying that she had a negative balance in her account and owes the bank around $49,999,999,697.98.

She further added, “It also said on my account I would get $50 billion in 2099. Which would be sick but I don't know if I would be alive at that point."

Now, this glitch affected many people over the weekend as many people flooded the social media in confusion to ask why they suddenly owed billions of dollars to the bank.
A spokesperson from the bank said, “We had a technical glitch over the weekend impacting a limited number of accounts. The issue has been resolved and those accounts are now showing accurate balances.”

India’s premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has failed to live up to the expectations during the World Test Championship final against New Zealand. Bumrah was the only Indian bowler who failed to pick a single wicket which put extra pressure on other quicks Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma.
Despite his poor outing on the third day, skipper Virat Kohli entrusted him to bowl the first over on Day 5 of the summit clash. But more than his bowling, what caught everybody’s attention was the jersey he was wearing.

With the WTC final being the biggest Test match in the history of the format, a special jersey was designed for players from both teams, which had some unique characteristics and noticeable changes on the design part.

Bumrah went to the field wearing the old jersey which had main sponsor’s logo right in front around the chest along with the kit sponsor’s logo, whereas the jersey designed for the WTC final had team name written in bold letters around the chest area while the kit sponsor’s logo was replaced by the ICC WTC Final 2021 logo.

Bumrah’s mistakes didn’t go unnoticed and soon he had to face heavy trolling on social media, with many people saying that he should wear the Mumbai Indians jersey inside the Test jersey in order to regain confidence and perform better.

    — Nishant (@PushkarNishant1) June 22, 2021 From a rookie few years back, Bumrah has emerged as one of the spearheads of India’s bowling attacks and is probably the first name on the team sheet across formats.
“So basically, what I try to do is, I channelise my anger. When I started as a youngster, I used to get angry left, right and center and I used to do all types of gimmicks which didn't really help my game a lot,” Bumrah said in the video released by the ICC.
“I realised what works for me. I am smiling, but the fire inside is burning all the time.”

    — ICC (@ICC) June 22, 2021
“Over the years I played a lot of international cricket, realised what works for me. So, I am smiling but the fire inside is burning all the time. I don't try to show it all the time but this is the way that helps me to succeed and with that controlled aggression, I try to take my game forward,” he added.

Fans expect him to deliver all the time but that is not humanly possible and every professional athlete goes through ups and downs several times in his career, hence passing judgements after just one bad game is a bit too much.
There is no doubt he will bounce back strongly and silence his critics, proving once again that ‘form is temporary but class is permanent’ and that there is no one like him in the business.

Battlegrounds Mobile India is now available to play for beta testers however with the launch of the game came controversy. Over the weekend, it was discovered that the game was sharing data with Chinese servers namely China Mobile Communications, a Chinese state-owned telecom operator. BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi who is also the chairperson of the India data protection bill’s parliamentary committee took notice and ask MeitY to “look into” the game’s practices.

Now it seems like the game has stopped sending data to Chinese servers after an update and Krafton directly addressed the issue at hand. “KRAFTON is fully aware of the recent concerns over data handling in regards to BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA Early Access test,” the company said.

“With the hopes of convening with our fans in India soon in an official launch, KRAFTON has been tirelessly working on the Early Access test of BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA to offer a distinct battle royale experience in a safe and secure environment. And with privacy, player data safety and protection being our top priority, KRAFTON is taking the concerns raised very seriously and has taken immediate, concrete actions to address this issue” the company added.

The game uses third-party solutions to provide different game features according to the company. This may also entail account migration features that were previously stored in Chinese servers. “In the process of using these solutions, some game data was shared to third parties. BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA’s privacy policy fully discloses that the app may transfer some user data, with users’ consent to the privacy policy and choosing to migrate their accounts. No data has been shared in violation of the privacy policy” Krafton said.

“Thus, data shared to third parties are ONLY to enable certain game features. In the meantime, KRAFTON will continue to closely monitor and protect any data being transferred to unexpected and restricted IP addresses prior to the official launch.”

For now, Krafton has applied the update to the game which will be applied automatically whenever someone opens the app next time. The game will restart once the update has been installed and the game will no longer share any data with the problematic servers.
