Human beings can be weird, and find some of the most bizarre things vastly interesting. A case in point would be, how some people just love and adore serial killers.

    © Reuters
Now, finding serial killers intriguing and fascinating isn’t that big a deal or problematic so to say. However, there are people who actually call themselves fans of certain notorious serial killers. Heck, there are a number of fan groups on Facebook and Instagram, that are dedicated to certain notorious murderers.

    © New Statesman
Here are some of the most prominent serial killers who have their own fan-clubs and groupies.

    Ted Bundy © Reuters
Ted Bundy remains to be one of the most sinister serial killers of all times. He also happens to be one of the most charming one, as per his fans. He has had several fan groups over the years, with the most notorious one being called, The Bundyphilles, who actively lobbied for him to be released.

    Richard Ramirez © AFP
Dubbed as the Valley Intruder as well as the Night Stalker, Ramirez had killed over 13 people, and sexually assaulted at least a dozen more, including children. That does not mean that he did not have his share of fans. Most of his fans believed that he was being entrapped because of his Latin-American ancestry. He married one of his fans, Doreen Lioy, while he was awaiting his execution. During their courtship, which began when Ramirez was in prison, Lioy wrote about 75 letters to him.

The Zodiac Killer © Paramount Pictures
To this day, nobody knows for sure who the Zodiac Killer is. Perhaps that is why the serial killer remains to be one of the most popular urban legends in San Francisco. Jake Gyllenhal & Robert Downey Jr. played journalists in a movie about the serial killer. The Zodiac Killer had a great number of fans who would often call up radio & TV news stations discussing him, and confess their love for him. All this, without even knowing who the person was.

    Aileen Wuornos © AFP
Aileen Wuornos was a *** worker who was arrested and convicted for murdering 7 young boys. Her trial received a lot of media attention, which ultimately painted her as the victim of a series of unfortunate events, which led her to act out. Although she was executed, she left behind a number of fan clubs that are operational to this day.

    Jeffrey Dahmer © AFP
Jeffrey Dahmer, again, was a serial killer who targeted young boys. Many of his murders involved sexual assault, necrophilia, and cannibalism. His appeal, sort of went international. Imagine being a convicted American serial killer with a fan club, based out of Glasgow, named McDahmer’s. Well, that’s what happened with him. Anyway, Dahmer was beaten to death by a prison-mate.

    Charles Sobhraj © BCCL
Finally, there’s Charles Sobhraj. There are several urban legends surrounding the man and his charm, about how he would often entrap his victims with his charm and his ability to smooth talk. Charles had a number of fan clubs in India, Thailand, Nepal, and France, all countries where he was a wanted man. Heck, he even got married to Nihita Biswas the daughter of his lawyer, who, in her own words, was charmed by his personality. At the time of his marriage, he was 64, while she was 21. Go figure.

The bottom line…As we said, human beings can be very weird. It is actually very interesting to see, why people such as Bundy & Shobhraj become cult personalities and draw people near, almost to the point where their fans start vehemently denying their crimes. Nonetheless, making superstars out of such people isn’t exactly wise.

There exist certain cultural influences that promote an unhealthy masculinity among all boys and men. The archaic notion that men are supposed to be unidimensional, emotionless automatons has been well noted for generations.
From our fathers (and their fathers) to our classmates, colleagues and friends. We’ve all witnessed certain men obsessed with the idea that certain traits like ‘Toughness’, ‘Antifemininity’ and ‘Social Dominance’ coupled with amped up doses of aggression are the ideals all men must live by to truly be masculine.
Here are a few accounts of men and the impact of toxic masculinity on them:

As a cultural preset, toxic masculinity has long dictated men to behave a certain way lest their ‘man card’ be revoked. The incessant need to act tough and avoid expressions of vulnerability hollows out men from the inside in the long term. The psychological and social impact of toxic masculinity on men is far too grave to be ignored.

Things had been going downhill for a while and the spark that you and your partner once had seemed to be fading away. Conversations were no longer fun and suddenly, taking out time to spend together started feeling like a lot of effort. The hints were in plain sight, things weren’t working out and before they got ugly, you decided to pull the plug on the relationship, respectfully.
This could even have been one of your most smooth and amicable break ups, except a few days into it, you realise you are being referred to as the ‘jerk’ by your ex.
Most men out there experience something similar soon after their breakups, without realising which of their actions may have been contributing to forming a notorious reputation for themselves.
    © Eros International
In order to not be branded as the ultimate jerk after a breakup, here are a few things to keep in mind!

And to steer clear of any such malicious branding, here is what NOT to do after a break up!
Post about it on social media © iStock
A rookie mistake and one there is no coming back from, it is never a good idea to air your dirty laundry. Especially on social media, where almost anything can go viral and be made a big deal out of. Respect the privacy of your relationship that once was, and don’t put it out there for the world to see.

    Lash out © iStock
Whether or not things worked out between you and partner, once you’ve ended it, abstain from giving into the urge of lashing out. Don’t say or do anything in an impulse or a fit of rage that you might later regret, be it a drunk dial or showing up at their front door to pee in the wee hours of the night. Just, don’t.

Ask out their friends © iStock
Perhaps the biggest way to show disrespect to your ex, asking out or hooking up with one of their friends after the two of you split up is a major jerk move. Getting back at your ex is anyway overrated, especially when it means sabotaging their friendship with others.

Talk trash about them © iStock
A common mistake that men make after breaking up with their partner is to often indulge in conversations about them. No one wants to know about your ex’s intimate details and unless you also want to be called a gossip monger along with a jerk, it is best you stop talking about them and move on.

Jumping back into the dating pool too soon © iStock
Even though everyone has their own way to deal with a break up and even move on from one, it is advised not to dive back into the dating pool all too soon. You may be ready to catch other fish in the sea, but chances are your promptness will end up hurting your still hungover ex.

Pretend it is okay © iStock
It is okay to be and hence, act hurt after you’ve broken up with your partner. Putting on a show to announce that you’re A-okay might just end up gaining you a reputation of a heart-breaker or one who never cared enough to begin with. It’s best to take your time to let the change settle in.

If you’re an Uma Thurman fan, then Kill Bill is obviously on your list of her best performances because who can question the genius of director Quentin Tarantino in storytelling and making his actors play the part perfectly. However, rumour has it that B-town’s ace director Anurag Kashyap has decided to remake this combat hit and according to reports, Kriti Sanon is being considered for the lead role.

As per another Pinkvilla report, this remake will be like a homage to the original and the rights have been bought by Nikhil Dwivedi.
As per sources, “Nikhil has been working closely on the script of Kill Bill adaptation with Anurag Kashyap all through the lockdown. The duo is calling it a homage to the original film and have finally locked a script that does justice to the legacy of the Quentin Tarantino directorial. Anurag and Nikhil have now taken a step ahead to move on to the casting front and initiated conversations with Kriti Sanon to play the lead”.
While this will be a first time for Kriti where she will get to kick some action and will be an interesting movie to the bouqet of the movies she’s been doing lately, people on social media are divided on Twitter.
yeh kya behuda mazaak hai https://t.co/sgA6UQCGSA
    — Shreemi Verma (@shreemiverma) June 22, 2021As much as I love #KillBill and think that nobody can recreate the magic of UMA Thurman heck even Lucy liu again.I would be excited to see what Anurag brings to the noir genre. Hope he indianises some of the iconic fight sequences.
    Kriti is a good choice. https://t.co/AAqHiZQlzp pic.twitter.com/PClIjAualI
    — Smita0912 (@Smita09122) June 22, 2021THAT'S the best actress you could pick for this? Lol okay.

I am a tiny bit intrigued (if this is even real) tho I think Vishal Bhardwaj would've been a much better choice for the director. Kashyap is really not the Bollywood equivalent of Tarantino as everyone thinks he is lol. https://t.co/PeKIeapTdk
    — Mad 2.0 (@thedalediggler) June 22, 2021 Okay, people are really opinionated about this alleged remake.
Story and scenes to copy paste karloge but that BGM which took this film to another level, where will they find that??? https://t.co/S5Ui7SMuZh
    — Sahil (@TheAceGuy_) June 22, 2021Kriti is currently working on Adipurush where she will be seen in the role of Sita. While nothing has been confirmed by the actress or Anurag about this remake, it will be interesting to see how this works out, if at all it does.

‘Weak’, ‘overly emotional’, ‘timid’, ‘delicate’, ‘naive’, ‘crybaby’ are just a few of the adjectives on top of my head that are used to describe a typical woman while in conversation. Not so much because they are actually true, but because society has led you to believe that it is. And contrary to popular belief, things aren’t very different for men either.
Victim to a similar case of stereotyping, men are often construed to be a lot of things that they are not. As opposed to the super chill, non-emotional bad boy image that may have been created of them, a few men came together on Reddit to bust all the male myths that are often believed to be true!
Giddy up fellas, time to set a few things straight!
    Men Don’t Care © iStock
This is a conclusion that most people jump to about men, usually to justify their behaviour after a date or a fight. However, as overused as it may be, it is not true. Men are equally emotional and often care more than they let on.

Men Prefer The Chase © iStock
Thanks to the hundreds of movies that have been built around the concept of men enjoying the chase, the idea may have been romanticised a tad bit too much. Turns out, men are not big on it.

A user who agreed with it, also wrote, “Most of us have been rejected so much that we won’t bother with the chase. We will move right along.” Which tbh, was pretty understandable!
All Men Want Is *** © iStock
While a large number of men may enjoy the act, men claim to not be slaves to their sexuality. Intimacy, emotional connect and a person’s personality seem to have an equal, if not more, role to play for men.

In fact, a user even wrote, “We are not machines driven constantly by libido”.
Enjoying Stereotypical Things Is Toxic © iStock
While a lot of stereotypes created for men and women may not be true or relevant, on the off chance that they are, doesn’t have to mean that it makes them toxic. Just like being a man and enjoying beer or even the latest edition of playboy doesn’t need to be looked down upon.

A user supported this by saying, “Toxic is toxic, not weightlifting or violent sports”.
That Men Are Meant To Be Strong, AT ALL TIMES © iStock
There is an unrealistic pressure on men to be strong and stoic all the time, even at their weakest moment and the fact that they are expected to oblige is absurd. Men are allowed to feel down and emotional and on days that they do, it doesn’t take away from their masculinity.

Actor Minissha Lamba made her Bollywood debut with the film Yahaan in 2005. She has now revealed that she experienced the ‘casting couch' in the industry. She expressed that she faced the casting couch a few times and handled it by insisting on meeting only in offices and pretending not to catch on to the insinuation.

In an interview, Minissha Lamba said that there have been times when she was asked to meet them for dinner to discuss a film, but she always insisted on meeting in the office. She also said that she was ghosted for not giving in to the propositions.
    View this post on Instagram
Minissha said, “I think in any industry where there are men, a lot of men are going to try. This industry is not any different. I definitely have faced things like the person not confirming for the film and saying, ‘Why don’t you meet for dinner? Let’s talk.’ And I am like, ‘No, why don’t we meet in the office? I don’t know about dinner but I am definitely free, we can set up a time and meet in the office tomorrow if you want to discuss further.’ I have handled it like that. It has not happened much to me to my face. But whenever it has happened, I have handled it in a way where I have pretended not to understand what you are saying.”

She also said, “Yes, one or two times, it happened. And then those projects didn’t take off.”

Minissha Lamba will be next seen in Raaj Aashoo’s Kutub Minar. What do you think? Let us know in the comments section below!

Silk hits your skin differently, doesn’t it? Some of us can’t stop touching our silk bed sheets and pillowcases. But when it’s a wool sweater, we can't wait to get out of it.

There’s a science behind how fibres affect your skin.
Some fabrics can keep you warm so you repel sweat. The right fabrics can even accentuate the results of your skin and hair products. While the wrong kind of fabrics can irritate your skin by trapping the heat.
Just as you keep a close eye on the ingredients of your perfumes, skincare products and hair care essentials, you must also pay attention to which material rubs over your skin all day long. From bedding to clothing.
The best fabrics for healthier skin and hair allow it to breathe. Here are the ones you should fill your wardrobe with.

2021 has not been a great year for cinema goers and movie makers as our new ‘normal’ continued to expand its wings from last year and we can still not buy overpriced popcorn and watch a movie in a theatre. However, thanks to OTT magic, entertainment is a click away.

In case the last week of June that’s approaching is feeling too stretchy for you and you kind of wish to run your mind on some fuel, here are some lovely thrillers which released this year and maybe you can stream one of them tonight:
1.The Little ThingsThis recently on released OTT Rami Malek thriller has been trending for quite a while. Sheriff Deke (played by Denzel Washington) joins hands with a detective called Baxter to catch a criminal causing havoc in LA. As the duo dives deep into the investigation, Baxter realises that he is also uncovering some skeletons in the closet from Sheriff Deke’s past. Catch it on Prime Video.

    2. AvaThis action thriller is straight out of a good old chase and run recipe book where an assassin is marked by her own organisation after she breaks protocols and questions their code of conduct. The titular role is played by Jessica Faulkner. Catch it on Netflix.

    3. Who Killed SaraThe first season of this Mexican crime drama left all fans asking more questions and seeking even more answers as the quest to find out who actually killed Sara continued. The second season which was released recently didn’t disappoint at all, as this family cum crime drama got murkier and complicated. This is an ideal recommendation for anyone looking for a show where they can continuously guess who is the killer. Catch it on Netflix.

    4. The Family Man 2If you haven’t watched the first season, then also you haven’t missed much because besides the main characters, the plot is entirely different. Watch Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee) fight the bad guys on a daily basis as he juggles his family life with his secret life as an agent of national security. Very gripping and a must-watch! Catch it on Prime Video.

    5. The Big BullThis financial crime thriller starring Abhishek Bachchan was constantly compared to Scam 1992, for obvious reasons, but in case you haven’t watched that and want to watch a quick movie instead of a series on the Harshad Mehta scam, then simply go for it. Catch it on Hotstar Premium.

Microsoft is now the second American company in the world to enter the $2 trillion club alongside Apple after its shares rose by 1.2%. According to a Bloomberg report, Microsoft briefly hit the $2 trillion market cap when its share value rose to $265.51 last night.
Microsoft has been able to grow 15% of its operating income during the COVID-19 pandemic even though several economies were being toppled in 2020.  Microsoft was able to maintain its dominance in cloud computing and software markets and even outperformed companies like Apple and Amazon. The company also expanded its earnings and revenues from new avenues such as machine learning.
    © Reuters
The Intelligent Cloud business accounted for 33.8% of Microsoft’s 2020 revenue which was up from 31% in 2019. The growth is being attributed to Satya Nadella’s leadership and clever decisions taken by him during the pandemic. Microsoft saw massive growth in cloud-based platforms as the world stayed indoors and worked from home. The company also saw revenues growth in its gaming business where the company saw an increase in members for its subscription service ‘Microsoft Game Pass’.

Apple’s market value surpassed $2 trillion last August and is currently valued t $2.24 trillion. The only other company that managed to hold that value was Saudi Aramco which entered the $2 trillion club in December for a brief period.
    © Reuters
The company will continue to invest heavily in its Teams collaboration software and the gaming business. The company will be adding new features to ‘Teams’ while also aim at adding new users to its ‘Xbox Game Pass' subscription service. Microsoft also launched its latest gaming console i.e. the Xbox Series X/S during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic which resulted in the highest sale numbers the company has ever seen for the brand.

It seems like the pandemic may have helped Microsoft as it propelled the company to a positive trajectory. While being stuck at home, consumers invested more in laptops, gaming PCs, gaming consoles and cloud computing platforms more than ever before. Microsoft continues to see a growing demand for its cloud services which has led to faster adoption amongst everyday users.

Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead is set in post-apocalyptic Las Vegas that is taken over by zombies. The movie was well-received by the audiences but fans of Huma Qureshi were a tad bit disappointed because of the length of the role and felt that her character Gita should have been given more screen space.
In an interview with HT,  she thanked all the fans for loving her role and sending their blessings to her. “I want to say to all my fans that I love them. Indian fans are the best, I love how much love they give us, and back us. They root for us, and it is really heartening to see this undiluted support,” she said.
View this post on InstagramTo the people who were upset with the length of her role, she told them that she has to be realistic and her first Bollywood role too was short in length but changed her life for good.
She said, “I would want to remind them that my first film ever was Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), a really big ensemble film. I was barely there for 15 minutes, and that film changed my life. Army of the Dead again, ironically, happened almost 10 years after that, it was my debut film in Hollywood. That was a big ensemble with a really acclaimed director (Zack Snyder).”
    View this post on Instagram

For her, it was more about the character’s impact on the story and not the length. It was Gita’s story that was an important anchor to the movie and it takes it forward.
“I knew the part. I felt what was important is not the length but how the character is moving the story forward. For me, Gita’s story was a very important plot point. You take that away, aur film khatam hi ho jaati,” said the actor.
She went on to add, “I have to be realistic. As much love as I get here, this is my first Hollywood film. I hope inshallah, it will open doors not just for me, but all other Indian actors.”
    View this post on Instagram

She said that all the frustration of the fans basically comes out of their love and not from any negative space.

SonyLIV has been a game-changer of sorts with exemplary stories that they have been getting on board. After shows like Scam 1992, Maharani, Avrodh, and Undekhi, SonyLIV is now retelling the stories of the sauces of India’s nuclear physicists, Homi Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai.
    View this post on Instagram
We are surely excited about the show and it will be interesting to see how Jim Sarbh and Ishwak Singh add lives to their characters who are known to be great achievers in their eras.
Here’s all we know about the show and what the actors think of their characters in the show:
    1. The show is created by Nikkhil Advani, Roy Kapur Films, and Emmay Entertainment. Rocket Boys has been directed by Abhay Pannu. The release date of Rocket Boys is yet to be announced.
    2. The show will delve deeper into the stories of Homi Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai and celebrate their journeys to success. They wrote history and it will be interesting to see their stories on the OTT screen.
    3. For the unversed, Homi Bhabha the first to do a proper quantum theoretic calculation of the process of electron-positron annihilation and creation – one of the basic processes in quantum electrodynamics using Dirac’s theory. He was also the first one to tell that cosmic rays move at speeds close to that of light and are the best place to verify the conclusions of Einstein’s Special Theory of Relativity. He was the founding director of Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) in 1945 and Trombay Atomic Energy Establishment (later renamed Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, in his memory). There is a lot that we need to know about him and Rockey Boys will be retracing all that he has achieved in his lifetime.
    4. Jim Sarbh will be stepping into the shoes of Homi Bhabha and his first look has been shared with us. Talking about his character in the show, he said, “Indian entertainment is about to explode with new material, and 'Rocket Boys' is a project that will, hopefully, be a part of the new wave of how shows are conceived, created, and consumed. Taking on the role of Homi Bhabha is extremely special, partly because of our shared Parsi heritage, but mostly because of the interesting, driven, Renaissance man he was. His dedication to scientific process and discovery, not least of which are his legacy of world-class scientific institutions, his notes on art and culture, and his ability to have a good laugh, make him a delicious character to play. I consider it a privilege to play him, and to be a part of this wonderfully researched and written show, and I am looking forward to its premiere on SonyLIV."
    © SonyLiv
    5. Well, Vikram Sarabhai is widely known as the ‘father of the Indian space programme’. He helped establish the Indian space agency, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), and led it as chairman. Sarabhai was largely responsible for the establishment and development of India’s nuclear power plants.  It will be interesting to know how he carried forward Bhabha’s work in nuclear space after his death.

    6. Ishwak Singh who got limelight with Pataal Lok will be playing the role of Vikram Sarabhai. Sharing about the character and show, he said, “We often hear about biopics on sportspersons and freedom fighters, but the concept of 'Rocket Boys', on the life of India's science heroes, really grabbed my attention when I heard the script for the first time. As a youngster, I was always fascinated by stories of space and what lies beyond the sky. By playing the role of Vikram Sarabhai, who laid the foundation for India's space programme by facilitating the establishment of the Indian Space Research Organization, I feel I will help other enthusiasts like me to know Sarabhai and his accomplishments a little better. 'Rocket Boys' marks my second project with Nikkhil Advani, and I am very excited about being a part of a show that revisits a glorious chapter of India's history and pride.”
    Here’s his first look:
