    The captain of the New Zealand cricket team and one of the top batsmen in the international circuit at the moment, Kane Williamson is being monitored closely for a bit of an elbow nibble following a disappointing stint in the middle during the first Test against England at the Lord’s Stadium.
    Recent reports suggest that the skipper is likely to miss out on all the action during the second Test at the Edgbaston Stadium, Birmingham.

     Williamson, who enjoys a massive fan-following in India, also received a lot of ‘Get well soon’ messages on Twitter while asking the cricketer to not rush into any sort of a return.

    With less than 10 days to go for the World Test Championships final between India and New Zealand, the fans of the Men in Blue, while wishing well for the Kiwi star, also feel excited about the idea of not having to bowl to someone with a daunting record as Williamson.
    Albeit, the 30-year old is going through a bit of a dry spell with the bat. In the first Test which ended in a draw, Williamson’s contribution towards his side was borderline negligible. In the first innings, the batsman was bowled by Kyle Anderson for just 13 runs but it was the second innings in which he could only score 1 run before the now-suspended Ollie Robinson trapped him up for an LBW appeal.
    In all fairness, it is possible that the New Zealand squad is only allowing Williamson enough time to become a hundred percent healthy before arguably the most important red-ball match of his life with the opportunity to become the very first captain to have won the World Test Championship.

    India and Pakistan are divided by things like cricket and land disputes but there are some things that know no bounds or boundaries. Cinema and music are some things that both nations share the love for equally and come together to celebrate these keeping the hatred and rivalry aside.

    This may not happen a lot of times but it’s wholesome when it does. Recently, a clip from a Pakistani TV serial was shared on Twitter where the main lead was seen singing Rabindra sangeet and Indians loved this cross-border rendition of soulful bengali music.

    Mehreen Jabbar, the director of Pakistani drama ‘Dil Kya Karay’, shared the video where the actress Yumna Zaidi was singing Amaro Porano Jaha Chay, a classic Bengali song by Gurudeb Rabindranath Tagore.

    In another clip, she was singing Ami tomaro birohe rohibo bilin, sung by Indian singer Sharvari Deshpande for the movie Chhapaak. 

    Although the serial aired a while ago and the videos were shared a few months ago, this has caught the attention of the netizens now and seeing Tagore’s beautiful creations Pakistani drama has all Bengalis swell with pride.

    The post has over 1.2k likes and comments from desis saying they are loving the classic Bengali songs making an appearance in Pakistani TV. 
    You have to say that this piece is a bold and glaring example of acceptance from the most unexpected quarters. Remember Tagore wrote the National Anthem for Bangladesh (erstwhile East Pakistan). And modern day Pakistan is accepting this! Really sweet, like Bengali itself!

    Kareena Kapoor has reportedly been approached to play the role of Sita in an upcoming mythological period saga film which will be helmed by Alaukik Desai. 
    However, some people are finding it rather hard to imagine Kareena playing the role of Sita, as they think she might not be able to give justice to the character.

    The movie has been in the headlines for the casting and also for the fact that the leading lady has apparently for a hefty price to play the role.

    According to reports, Kareena has doubled her fee from her earlier projects. 
    A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Bebo who usually asks in the Rs 6-8 crores range for her films has quoted a sum of Rs 12 crores which have put the producers in a tizzy. In fact, right now, they are reconsidering their decision and also taking the film to a younger actress, as well. But talks are on and Bebo remains the first choice.”
    According to the source, "Sita will need at least 8-10 months of prep, shoot, and production. So she will be completely consumed by one film at that point but Bebo also realizes that this will be her biggest magnum opus till date, as it's a retelling of Ramayana from Sita's point of view.”
    However, some people aren’t happy with the decision of casting Kareena and have been brutally bashing the actor. 
    Some have even given a warning to the director that the film will be heavily boycotted if he continues to go ahead with Kareena.

    Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif have been rumored to be dating for over a year now. Recently, confirming the same, actor Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor in a recent interview said that the actors have been dating and then immediately wondered if he is going to get in trouble for saying the same.

    Vicky and Katrina are frequently spotted meeting each other and fans are always curious to know if their dating rumors are true. Harsh in an interview with Zoom’s By Invite Only, was asked to reveal one Bollywood relationship rumor that he believes to be true.

    Neither Vicky nor Katrina has publicly ever admitted that they are dating each other. In a 2020 interview with Bollywood Hungama, Vicky was asked if he was dating Karina, to which he said, “I hope you respect this… I really want to guard my personal life to some extent because if you open up, it leads to discussions and interpretations, and misinterpretations. That is something I am not inviting.”

    The Fast & Furious series or the Fast Series has come a long way ever since it started back in 2001, however, one person that will continue to be remembered as the driving force behind it, is late actor Paul Walker.

    Walker, who played one of the main protagonists, Brian O'Conner, in the series, was an integral member of the big family that is the Fast franchise before his untimely death due to a car accident back in 2013.

    However, he is still dearly remembered by fans as well as his cast members, which include his fast friend Vin Diesel, who recently paid a tribute to honour their "eternal brotherhood" ahead of the release of the ninth film of the Fast franchise.

    Diesel, who plays the role of Dominic "Dom" Torretto in the series, took to Instagram to share an old picture of him and Walker, which was sent to him by the late actor's daughter, Meadow Walker.

    Posting the photo on his official Instagram handle, Diesel wrote, "Weeks away from the F9 release... in preproduction for the finale that starts only months from now... @meadowwalker sends me this image and tells me how happy the photo makes her feel. Naturally, one gets filled with emotion, purpose, and ultimately gratitude. Eternal brotherhood is a blessing beyond words. Hope to make you proud... All love, Always."

    The emotional post obviously had a lot of reactions from fans as well as Meadow Walker, who responded in the comments with, "I love you."

    The US Senate passed a very rare bipartisan bill that counters China’s growing influence in technology by investing more than $190 billion in American Tech, science and research. 
    The partisan bill is seen as rare because the deeply divided US Congress shared a hard-line sentiment in dealing with China and its growing economic and technology influence.

    The bill authorises about $190 billion to strengthen US technology and research where $54 billion has been allowed to increase US production and research into semiconductors and telecommunication equipment. 

    The investment comes due to chip shortages being faced ever since the pandemic started. The chip shortage has affected several industries such as automakers, appliance manufacturers, and gaming console manufacturers.

    The bill must pass the House of Representatives and needs to be signed by President Biden to sign into law. 

    The bill also has a number of China-related provision including the prohibition of TikTok being downloaded on government devices. The bill would also block the purchase of drones manufactured and sold by companies that have ties or backed by the Chinese government. 
    The bill would also allow the Taiwanese military to display their flag on their uniforms when visiting the United States on official business.

    Biden praised the bill: "We are in a competition to win the 21st century and the starting gun has gone off ... We cannot risk falling behind.”
    US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo also said that the new bill and the funding that comes with it will result in 7 to 10 US semiconductor plants. 
    The bill will also include investing $10 million over five years to the Department of Commerce to create regional tech hubs, a third of which will be located in rural America.

    One of the biggest criticisms that have been levelled against the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the conspicuous lack of LGBTQ representation.

    Heck, even the characters who have been established as openly gay or queer in the comics, have been shown with some degree of ambiguity in their sexuality, on the big screen. In some cases, they have been shown as straight and heterosexual.

    In a conference in 2018, the top brass at Marvel Studios decided to put an end to that, and had stated that going forth, the MCU would be more inclusive of LGBTQI+ characters in the upcoming phase.

    To that effect, they sort of announced for Marvel’s Loki, Tom Hiddleston’s character is gender-fluid, just like in the comics.
    Here are 8 other Marvel movie characters that fall on the LGBTQI+ spectrum in the comics.  
    1. Valkyrie © Marvel Studios
    Valkyrie is the most widely known bisexual character in Marvel’s movie roster. Although there have been no scenes or sequences in the movies which clearly implied such a thing. Taika Waititi & Tessa Thompson, both, have confirmed that the character is Bisexual, and this will be explored in the upcoming Thor: Love & Thunder.

    2. Korg © Marvel Studios
    Another character, whose sexuality might be explored in Thor: Love & Thunder, is Korg. In the comics, Korg is seen in a romantic homosexual relationship, immediately after the Ragnarok saga. With Marvel’s decision to explore the sexuality of their LGBTQI+ characters, there is a good chance that we get to See Korg going on a journey of his own.

    The makers of Black Panther took a lot of artistic liberties and deviated a lot from the comics, which isn’t an issue as such. For example, the Okoye we see in the movies is an amalgamation of two different characters - Okoye and Aneka. 

    Now, Aneka has been shown to be attracted to women, whereas in the movie, Okoye was married to W'Kabi. It will be interesting to see, how Marvel tries to salvage this situation.

    The MCU is currently following just one iteration of Captain Marvel, which happens to be one of the “straight” or heterosexual iterations. Marvel nerds know that is some of the other iterations of Captain Marvel, the superhero is actually a lesbian. It seems that Brie Larson, along with the producers of Captain Marvel are aware of this fact, and may explore this in the cinematic universe as well.

    5. Ice Man © 20th Century Fox
    Although not strictly a Marvel Cinematic Character, we still will count Ice Man in this listicle. As per the comic books, Ice Man was one of the first characters to come out as gay in the comics, which makes him an integral part of the pantheon. We genuinely wish, that Ice Man, and the older X-Men characters, do get to see a comeback.

    Another old X-Men character that falls on the spectrum, is Mystique. In the films, as well as in the comic books, Mystique does get attracted to Charles Xavier & Erik Lensherr. However, in the comic books, she has been shown to have a romantic relationship with a character called ‘Destiny.’ Unfortunately, this aspect was never explored in any of the films.

    7. Negasonic Teenage Warhead © 20th Century Fox
    Finally, we have Negasoic Teenage Warhead. The dope and uber-cool name notwithstanding, Negasonic actually was the first openly homosexual character we had on the screen from Marvel. Although the Deadpool films weren’t technically made by Marvel studios, they still are a part of the larger universe. Negasonic was shown to have a partner, named Yukio.

    The bottom line…
    Although Marvel has been conspicuously silent on the sexuality of its LGBTQ characters, we’re glad that they have had at least some form of representation. What we’re really looking forward to, is how in the upcoming releases, Marvel is going to give some characters and their sexuality, a safe space.

    KL Rahul is currently in England along with the rest of the Men in Blue for the upcoming one-off match against Kane Williamson’s New Zealand squad in the World Test Championships final at Southampton’s The Ageas Bowl.
    However, this much information was not enough for the dedicated fans of the cricketer and some of them switched on their ‘social media detective’ mode to figure out whether or not Rahul is in the United Kingdom with his rumoured girlfriend and Bollywood actor Athiya Shetty.

    From the lush greens to the very prominent and distinctive railings in the background, the fans of both the celebrities drew similarities in the images shared by the two which led to speculations that they are spending some quality time with each other at the same location, despite not making their alleged relationship public. 
    "Are you in the same place as kl sir?" asked fan. "Cleaver Athu. B/W picture so that we don't see the background, Athu keep on sharing hints we are loving it," another comment read.     Despite Rahul’s presence with the team, Kohli may not go ahead with him in the Playing XI simply because of the availability of too much batting talent across the batting order. Although opener Shubman Gill has not been the same ever since his return from Australia after a phenomenal series debut, it is likely that the 21-year old will get preference in the one-off red-ball match.
    The fight for being crowned the inaugural World Test Championship will kick of on 18th June, a few days after the Blackcaps’ two-match Test series against Joe Root’s England squad.

    Baba Ka Dhaba became an overnight success and shot to fame after a heartbreaking video of them went viral on social media last year. 

    However, the couple seems to be back to square one after their restaurant venture, apparently, tanked. 
    And now, they are once again desperately waiting for their customers in their roadside eatery in South Delhi’s Malviya Nagar.
    Last year, a video of Kanta Prasad and his wife Badaami Devi struggling to make ends meet through their roadside eatery amid lockdown went viral. 
    The video by the YouTuber tugged at everyone's heartstrings and soon enough, people flooded the eatery and there were huge lines outside.

    People came to eat food, click selfies and donate money to support the customer. 
    Zomato, also listed the eatery on their app and soon after, Prasad opened a restaurant and also bought a smartphone for himself along with getting rid of all his debts.
    However, the restaurant didn’t make money for them either and they are back to their roadside eatery again. 
    Prasad told HT, “The daily footfalls at our Dhaba have declined because of the ongoing Covid lockdown, and our daily sales have come down from 3,500 before the lockdown to 1,000 now. The income is not sufficient for our family of eight.”

    He also said, “The average monthly sales never crossed 40,000. I had to bear all the losses. In hindsight, I feel we were wrongly advised to open a new restaurant. Of the total investment of 5 lakh, we managed to recover only 36,000 from the sale of chairs, utensils, and cooking machines, after the restaurant shuts down."
    Gaurav Wasan was the YouTuber who made their video and highlighted the poor condition of the couple. But, Prasad had later filed a cheating complaint against Gaurav Wasan saying that he allegedly didn’t give him all the donations.
