    Actor Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya is currently in Cape Town shooting for Khatron Ke Khiladi 11. She recently slammed a Twitter user for commenting on her attire. A Twitter user questioned Divyanka for not wearing a dupatta with her suits in Crime Patrol. She is a host on the show and the user asked her about her clothes.

    After the second wave of coronavirus seems to be declining slowly, the black fungus cases have seen a huge spike in India lately. 
    Also known as mucormycosis, it is a fungal infection that has emerged as a post-Covid complication, mainly patients treated with steroids and having diabetes.

    The rate of increasing cases is alarming. Pertaining to this, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter to pose some questions to the central government about their strategy to tackle the black fungus crisis.

    He put up three questions about how the government plans to deal with the black fungus. This included the plan of action to deal with the shortage of Amphotericin B drug and the process to make these drugs available to the patients. The last question he shooted was why is the Modi Government entrapping the public in formalities, instead of giving treatment?

    Many reports from earlier this week claim that the production of iPhone 13 components are well underway. The next chipset Apple will be using for the iPhone 13 has already gone into mass production which might keep the launch on track for now. However, another leak from Korea more or less confirms an upgrade iPhone users have been asking for.

    A new report by The Elec suggests that both Samsung and LG have started to produce the OLED screen that will be used in the iPhone 13. From the leak, it seems like Samsung has been bestowed the responsibility for making the most exciting component for the iPhone 13. While the display may look identical to the iPhone 12 albeit with a smaller notch, the iPhone 13 is expected to support up to 120Hz refresh rate. For years, Android smartphones have been taking advantage of higher refresh rates for a smoother experience and better gaming performance. iPhone fans have also been requesting this feature for years and it seems like Apple will finally offer it on the iPhone 13.

    It is worth pointing out that Apple might reserve the 120Hz display for the ‘Pro’ models. The leak also goes on to say that the Pro models will feature LTPO OLED panels that can also be found on the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. The report adds Samsung is said to be producing between 120 million and 130 million LTPO displays for Apple while LG will provide up to 50 million OLED panels. The report also says that production for the display has already begun, a month earlier than for the iPhone 12 last year. Sources familiar with the matter told The Elec that Apple is looking to avoid any launch delay in 2021.

    Even though Apple delayed the launch of the iPhone 12 last year, it is still currently the highest selling smartphone and beats all top Android flagships. It's impressive to see these numbers despite the pandemic and it seems like Apple is not going to hold back for iPhone 13 this year.

    Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Karan Mehra was arrested by police after his wife and actress Nisha Rawal filed a complaint against him in Goregaon police station Monday night (May 31).

    According to the Goregaon police, Mehra’s wife Nisha lodged an FIR under Sections 336 (act so rashly or negligently as to endanger human life or the personal safety of others) and 337 (causing hurt) of the IPC.
    As per the complaint, the couple got into a fight and the actor, in a fit of rage, pushed his wife. Karan Mehra is now out on bail and shared a very different story from that of his wife.
    Speaking about the whole incident, the actor said, "(Last night) I was talking to my mother over the phone when Nisha barged in and started hurling abuses at me, my parents, and my brother. She started shouting loudly and not only that Nisha even spat on me. When I asked Nisha to go out, she threatened me by saying 'see what I do now' and went out. She then smashed her head on the wall, and told everyone that I did it."

    The rumours of trouble in Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal's marriage started doing the rounds earlier in May. However, in an exclusive conversation with Aajtak, Karan rubbished the rumours. He had said, “I have no clue what led to these rumours all of a sudden. I saw this news today only and I have been getting calls from everywhere. When Nisha got the news, she had also cleared it. Even after that, I don’t know how these rumours started spreading.”

    A new study compiled by British expert Angus Dalgleish and Norwegian scientist Birger Sorensen claims that Chinese scientists created the virus in a laboratory in Wuhan and tried to cover their tracks. Conspiracy theories around the lab have been growing ever since the coronavirus broke out in China last year. However, this new study claims that the virus was not only created in a lab, but scientists tried to manipulate the virus and make it look like it evolved naturally from bats.

    “We think that there have been retro-engineered viruses created. They’ve changed the virus, then tried to make out it was in a sequence years ago,” Dalgleish told The Daily Mail.

    Gain-of-function projects involving tweaking natural occurring viruses to make them more infectious and lethal were banned in the US. However, the study claims Chinese scientists may have partaken in similar projects where they took a natural coronavirus “backbone” found in China’s cave bats and spliced it onto a new “spike.” The researchers also mention in their study that they found “unique fingerprints” in COVID-19 samples that may have arisen from manipulation in a laboratory. 
    The authors claim they have prima facie evidence that shows Chinese scientists may have retro-engineered the virus for a year. The study alleged "deliberate destruction, concealment or contamination of data” at Chinese labs.

    The research by the two authors was obtained by The Daily Mail and is set to be published in the scientific journal Quarterly Review of Biophysics Discovery. Dalgleish and Sorensen worked with American Universities to piece together the information and concluded that Chinese scientists built tools to create the coronavirus. 

    Sorensen told The DailyMail that four amino acids on the spine have a positive charge. This causes them to cling to the negatively charged parts of a human, in turn making it more infectious. Positively charged amino acids can also repel each other and Sorensen said that it was rare to find even three in a row in naturally occurring organisms. 
    “The laws of physics mean that you cannot have four positively charged amino acids in a row. The only way you can get this is if you artificially manufacture it,” Dalgleish told The Daily Mail. 
    “The implication of our historical reconstruction, we posit now beyond a reasonable doubt, of the purposively manipulated chimeric virus SARS-CoV-2 makes it imperative to reconsider what types of Gain of Function experiments it is morally acceptable to undertake,” they wrote.
    Sorensen believes the virus escaped from lower security areas of the Wuhan institute where he believes gain-of-function projects were being handled and performed. “We have seen lab leaks and we know it’s happening. We also know from the reports we’ve seen, that coronavirus is worked on in Biosafety Level 2 or 3 labs. If they do Gain of Function in such labs, what do you expect?” he said.

    Yes, you read that right. As a Delhiite, two sets of emotions have probably hit you with this headline. You are either elated, your Whatsapp family/friends groups are already buzzing, or, like most of us, you are wondering if this just another ploy to ‘divert’ the attention from the living hell that the capital city turned into, courtesy the deadly Covid wave that attacked us. The Delhi government has announced that home delivery of Indian and foreign liquor will now be allowed through an app and a web portal. The delivery will not be done at a hostel, office or an institution. As soon as the news came in, people on social media were divided in their opinion. A lot of people are actually happy about this and to mark this celebration, memes have obviously started floating.

    Probably not. Well, this thief in Dakshina Kannada district of India's southern Karnataka state sure did have more than a scoop, and we doubt it tasted as good as it sounded.

    In a bizarre incident, the thief, who goes by the name of Shibu, gulped down 35 grams of stolen golden ornaments with ice cream to avoid being caught by the police.

    Unfortunately for him, his new diet went to waste as the police still detained him after finding out that he had stolen the gold from a number of jewelry shops in the area.

    It was later found out that the thief had swallowed the gold ornaments two weeks back and would repeat the swallowing practice whenever the ornaments discovered their way out.
    “It was the modus operandi of this habitual offender. He used to keep a part of a stolen booty in his stomach to make it safe and to avoid recovery if caught. Normally, police check pockets and houses when caught. We won’t check stomach,” said MR Harish, PSI, Sullia.
    Unsurprisingly, his body did not react well to the odd ice cream flavor and he was later admitted to the hospital after developing severe abdominal pain.

    After an X-ray scan, it was found that Shibu had the jewels in his intestine after which he was admitted for observation. According to sources speaking with PTI, the 35g gold ornaments which mostly comprised of rings along with ear-studs, were later recovered through a surgical procedure. Shibu has now been discharged and is now in judicial custody.

    IMDb ratings have become all the rage, especially in the last one and a half years. However, they are not the most accurate matrix to judge whether a film is worth your time or not.

    The reality is, a number of great movies actually score abysmally low on IMDb. Heck, some of our best movies rarely cross a rating of 8, with many of them being rated in the mid 6s to mid 7s.

    Here are a few movies that have very average ratings on IMDb, but are totally worth a watch.

    1. Tanhaji (7.6)

    Yes, Tanhaji has a rating of 7.6 on IMDb. This was a movie that deserved a lot better. It was really hard to find fault with the film. Most of us who have watched the film will find it hard to believe that it failed to cross a rating of 8.
    2. Bulbbul (6.6)

    Bulbbul was a movie that people raved about when it released. Critics and regular people alike simply loved the film: the way it was shot, the story - everything. And yet, it has a rating of 6.6 on IMDb. Sad, isn’t it?
    3. Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! (7.7)

    We bet you didn’t see this one coming, did you? Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! was one of Sushant Singh Rajput’s best performances. The movie itself was brilliantly made, with some great visuals, and more importantly, a brilliant story.
    4. Blackmail (7.1)

    Blackmail was actually a really great film to watch. It had a great story, and more importantly, a stellar performance by Irrfan & Kirti Kulhari. Surely, this was one film that deserved a better rating than what it has.
    5. Shanghai (7.2)

    Shanghai will go down as a classic in India’s Film History. And yet, it doesn’t have a good IMDb score. People who have followed Emraan Hashmi’s filmography will agree that his performance in this film was not just his career’s best, but one of the finest across all actors in the last two decades.
    6. Shivaay (6.2)

    Yup, Shivaay has an IMDb rating of 6.2, despite being a massively popular film at the time of its release. It also had a great run on OTT. It genuinely is surprising that the film did not get a rating of even 7.
    7. Dhoom (6.7)

    Yup, Dhoom, one of the most popular movies of all time, and the one movie that established the careers of a number of actors, has a score of 6.7. How, why, is something that remains a mystery. This definitely was a film that deserved a much higher score.
    8. Bombay Velvet (5.6)

    Hear us out before you start furiously typing away. Bombay Velvet was actually a good movie that was somewhat ahead of its time. The film was beautifully shot, and historically super accurate. Although it tanked at the Box Office, people actually found it to be a good film, that was certainly worth watching.
    The bottom line…
    IMDb ratings may be the go-to matrix for a lot of people to judge how good a film is. However, they aren’t actually the best way to find out whether a film deserves your time or not. There have been a number of great Indian movies that did not even cross a rating of 7 on the platform.

    Amid the second wave, as the country went through yet another lockdown, we hardly spotted any celebrity. Tiger recently made an appearance though and delighted us with his attire. He reiterated the fact that he is into the anti-fit trend yet again, by wearing white pants, that are super long.

    This isn't the first time Tiger has gone for pants that are too long for his legs. He has also worn joggers that have looked three sizes bigger than his original size and then again balloon pants, stating that he is all about comfort than trends.

    These pants in particular, if you observe, are too long and they also have minimal rips. Add to that, there's a huge patch that we see on the right side. The style might a fashion blunder for many, but we like the way Tiger has worn it, given that he is an expert in this category.
    Coming to the rest of the details, he never leaves his house without wearing his stone neckpiece. The best thing is it's not over the top and makes a statement. We also like the Iron Paradise tank. This one is by Under Armour and is a part of project Rock training gear. Turns out every silhouette in this collection has been approved by Dwayne Johnson himself.

    This T-shirt isn't very expensive. It retails for Rs 2,035 which makes it an affordable option for us as well. 

    Finally, the way he has summed his outfit. The blue espadrilles seem like a perfect addition here. Even though these type of shoes, may not be ideal in the rainy season, we still appreciate how Tiger has pulled off this odd style, regardless.

    Our country is dealing with extremely tough times at the moment and only being humane to each other will help us get through this crisis.  Recently, a picture of a policeman from Uttar Pradesh feeding an old and homeless woman has gone viral on social media.
    The image was recently shared by Paralympian Rinku Hooda. This humble act of the police officer has touched many hearts and the Internet couldn’t stop praising him. Hooda took to Twitter and wrote in Hindi, “Police ka ek chehra aisa bhi hota hai. #salute.”

    Earlier, photos of a Delhi cop carrying an elderly woman in his arms were going viral on the internet. In this time of distress, people have come together and have started helping each other, which is something the country desperately needs right now.

    The Delhi cop has come forward as a good samaritan who is helping the elderly and other vulnerable sections of people to get the vaccine and other vital resources, and people are hailing him.
    In the pictures, we can see the constable carrying the woman, who is wearing a PPE kit, and the cop is carrying her to the vaccination centre in his arms.
    Ever since the photos have gone viral, people on the internet are showering the cop with praises and love for his noble gesture.
