Thought you'd seen everything in the world that there was to see? Well, guess what? You're absolutely wrong.
If you've seen Hollywood heart-throb Leonardo Dicaprio in his oscar-winning film, The Revenant, you might have noticed how he almost gets mauled to death by a bear.

Well, If you thought that was too graphic, my friend, let me tell you, that's exactly what a bear attack's like.

The creatures, while appearing to look like cute big balls of fur, are anything but that in real life, and possess the strength to even crush a human skull to bits.

However, that certainly did not scare away a dog mom from protecting her dogs from a potential bear attack.
A young woman saved her dogs from a bear by pushing it off a ledge with her bare hands. The viral video was posted by the woman's cousin Brenda on TikTok with the caption, ‘My cousin Hailey yeeted a bear off her fence today and saved her dogs. How was your Memorial Day?!’ pic.twitter.com/oP3H9lq1b1
    — NowThis (@nowthisnews) June 2, 2021
In what was a bizarre incident in the San Gabriel Valley in California, Hailey, a teenage girl knocked a protective mama bear off her home's wall to keep her dogs safe from the animal.
In the video that has gone viral on the internet, the mama bear along with two of her cubs could be seen walking on top of a block wall after which the dogs can be seen charging towards the bear.
While the cubs rush back to hide behind a tree, the mama bear can be seen extending her paw towards the smaller dogs.
Fearing for the dogs' safety, Hailey runs towards the bear and shoves the bear off the wall, before picking up her dogs and getting inside the house. The dog mom later said her decision to ram into the bear was pure instinct.
“I was like, ‘Oh my god, there’s a bear and it is taking my dog. It is lifting it up off the ground. In that split second, I decided to push the bear, like it was nothing, apparently. I pick up my other dog and I scram,” said Hailey.
Soon after the video went viral on the internet, social media users had divided opinions upon the whole incident with many confused about whether to side with dog mom or mama bear.
Holy crap! We need someone like her in office!

Recently, Chris Hemsworth took to Instagram to announce that the makers of Thor: Love & Thunder have wrapped up shooting in Australia and that the film will now go into post-production.

    © Marvel
The actor posted a picture of himself with Taika Waititi, the director of the film, stating that this is going to be one “batshit crazy,” and “off the wall funny” movie.

And given just how awesome Thor: Ragnarok was, thanks to Waititi, we think that this is quite the possibility.

Now that the film is all set to go into post-production, the audience and Marvel fans can finally expect to see a trailer in a month or two.
In an interview with a notable Australian daily, Taika Waititi said that the new instalment made Ragnarok look like a “normal” and safe movie - that’s how crazed up things are with Thor: Love & Thunder.
    © Marvel
Natalie Portman will be coming back to the franchise as Jane, and a will have Thor’s powers, along with a few of her own.

Waititi has said that he and the writers had gone back to the comic books and have referred to them extensively, in sketching out Jane’s power.

Other notable actors that will be seen in the film are Tessa Thompson, who plays the new ruler of Asgard, and Christian Bale who will be taking up the role of Gorr, the God Butcher and the main villain in the film.

There’s also a possibility of the Guardians Of The Galaxy cast to be seen in the film.

A few leaked images from the sets of the movie have also surfaced over the last two weeks.

The images show a “New Asgard” trust us, they are nothing like what you are imagining it to be.

It legit looks like a small European coastal town that is open to tourists, with a small cottage marked “Asgard Tours Aerial Sightseeings.”

    Now, this is hilarious!

If everything goes as per schedule, Thor: Love & Thunder is all set to release in May 2022, across the world. However, given how things have been for the last one and a half years, do keep in mind that a delay is possible.

Google has contended that the new IT rules in India for online publishers do not apply to its search engine and urged the Delhi High Court to repeal an order by a single judge. The judge applied the same IT rules to the search engine giant for dealing with an issue that involved removing offensive content from the Internet.
    © rajeshwar-bachu-unsplash
The single judge came with the decision when dealing with a matter that involved a woman’s photographs being uploaded on a pornographic website. Even though the court ordered the content to be removed entirely from the Internet, "errant parties merrily continued” to keep posting the images and redirect to other websites.

The order was issued by Chief Justice D N Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh to the Delhi Government, Internet Service Providers Association of India, Facebook, the pornographic website and to the Centre. Google told the bench that it was not a publisher but an intermediary for content on social media websites. The search engine giant sought the removal of the order by the single judge that classified it as a social media intermediary.
    © benjamin-dada-unsplash
Google contended that the single judge, in his April 20 judgement, "mischaracterized" its search engine as a ''social media intermediary'' or ''significant social media intermediary'' as provided under the new rules.

"The single judge has misinterpreted and misapplied the New Rules 2021 to the appellant's search engine. Additionally, the single judge has conflated various sections of the IT Act and separate rules prescribed thereunder, and has passed template orders combining all such offences and provisions, which is bad in law," Google said in its appeal against the April 20 judgement.
    © solen-feyissa-unsplash
The single judge ordered a direction to disable access to the offending content to be effective even in India. Search engines like Google must block the search results throughout the world. The direction would require search engines to ''de-index'' and ‘'dereference'' listed search results of offensive content. The intermediary, which in this case would be Google, has to comply with such a direction within 24 hours of receiving the same.

Finally, the order tasked search engines to use automated tools that can identify and disable access to offensive content proactively. It further stated that if an intermediary fails to fulfil the obligations and conditions, it was “liable to forfeit the exemption from liability available to it under the Information Technology (IT) Act.”

After a long wait, Prime Video has finally released the trailer of the much-awaited Hindi film Sherni that will premiere on June 18. The trailer has certainly set very high expectations and we can totally expect a blast as it’s directed by Amit Masurkar, who had also helmed the critically acclaimed Newton.
In the trailer, you see Vidya Balan play the role of an IFS (Indian Forest Service) officer and the content in the movie is quite realistic as it’s centered around the often discussed topic about how to restore the balance between humans and the wildlife. In the trailer, a team of trackers and locals try to capture a tigress that’s set loose, and people who are inhabitants of the area are concerned about their safety.
The two-line official synopsis of the film reads as follows, “A jaded forest officer (Vidya Balan) leads a team of trackers and locals intending to capture an unsettled tigress while battling intense obstacles and pressures, both natural and man-made.”
    Here’s the trailer:

People have already given the trailer a big thumbs up and here's why they think the movie might get India an Oscar.
    1. Fresh Concept And A ‘Hatke’ Bollywood MovieWe totally vouch for this claim as the trailer does promise the fact that the movie will be driving on its content. Speaking about the movie, the director earlier said, “SHERNI is an intricately-layered story, exploring the complex issues of conflict between humankind and animals. Vidya Balan plays a mid-level forest officer who despite obstacles and pressures, works with her team and local allies to preserve a balance in the environment. Working with her, the amazing ensemble cast and the uber-talented crew has been an incredible experience for me. I hope that releasing Sherni on Amazon Prime Video will help this story reach a wide and diverse audience both in India and across the world." People are rooting for the fresh concept and feel that it’s going to be different from all the movies that Bollywood has been producing.

    2. Vidya Balan’s Charm View this post on Instagram
Vidya Balan has always given us roles that are worth the hype and people are impressed by this one too. We completely agree with people that Vidya is one of the most iconic actors of the industry and her craft is effortless. In the movie, you will see Vidya’s character battle sexist stereotypes to overcome hurdles in both professional as well as personal life. In an earlier statement, Vidya had said, “Ever since I first heard the story of Sherni, I found the world fascinating and so far removed from my own. Also, the character I play, Vidya is a woman of few words but many dimensions. The film deals with a sensitive topic that touches upon respect, mutual understanding, and co-existence, not just between man-animal, but between humans as well. It gives me immense joy to bring this unique character and story to the global audience through Amazon Prime Video and hope to engage them in unexpected ways.”

    3. Stellar CastThe movie boasts of talented actors and they all have been delivering powerful performances in their past. Apart from Vidya in the lead role, we will get to see actors like Sharat Saxena, Mukul Chadda, Vijay Raaz, Ila Arun, Brijendra Kala, and Neeraj Kabi in pivotal roles in the film. All these actors have never disappointed us and we are sure that they will really live up to the expectations in Sherni.

In almost all parts of the world, the month of June is celebrated as International Pride month as an ode to the LGBTQIA community and everything that it stands for.
As we get ready to fly that rainbow pride flag and join virtual pride parades, we need to remember that those who identify as LGBTQIA don't have it easy, as they often face discrimination and disparities in different walks of life.

In a largely heteronormative world, trying to live a "normal" life can often too stressful and mentally exhausting for them, as society does not make it easy for them with their pre-set stereotypes and misconceptions.

Unfortunately, the LGBTQIA community often finds it difficult to seek out mental health professionals or look for the treatment they need.

Keeping this in mind, MensXP Experience is celebrating International Pride Month by hosting a series of webinars that focus on mental health and LGBTQIA allyship. These webinars are open to all and will be absolutely free of cost.

MensXP Experiences has partnered with Karma Care, a multidisciplinary, holistic & well-being focussed mental health organization that works for the well-being of people. It also offers counselling, psychotherapy, psychological assessments, internships, and other clinically effective facilities that are tailor-made to suit each individual.

They have brought on board several mental health care experts to shed light on these sensitive issues in a safe space. The two webinars that will be conducted this week are as follows.

    The ABC Of LGBTQIA

This session is hosted by Manveen Kaur, an organizational and counselling psychologist working for Karma Care.

It will also include the ABC of LGBTQIA so that you can understand their lives a tad better.
This session will also bust a few myths around the lived realities of the queer population along with a few activities so that you can step into their lives and understand the world through their perspective as well.

    MensXP Experience
Have you ever wondered what life will be for them? Well, this session will help you understand it better. It will also be looking at developmental and evolutionary theories of sexuality throughout the years.

If you watched Steve Smith bat for the first time, you would not imagine that dancing, bobbling ball of energy was the fastest to reach 7000 Test match runs, has the second-highest number of consecutive half-tons in the world, and commands the third-best batting average in the longest format of the game.
On more than one occasion, Smith has carried the Australian side on his shoulder and led them to victory all over the world, and against the most challenging opponents this game has to offer. However, as a true entertainer, Smith not only puts up some exceptional shots during his time at the crease but also succeeds in capturing our interest even on the deliveries that he leaves.

While it looked hilarious, pundits believe that this was one of the many tricks the Australians had up their sleeves to give the English bowlers a tough time on the pitch. For Aussies cricketers, sledging comes more as a birthright. When an Australian cricketer doesn't try to get under your nerves, you'd imagine something is severely wrong. Ask Ben Stokes, he'll tell you.
“I do some weird stuff,” Smith admitted in the documentary The Test. “I don't try to do it, it just kind of happens. I think its left pad, right pad, box, one tap in the middle, two behind my foot, look up, two behind my foot, look up, tap, good to go... Every ball,' he said.
    View this post on Instagram
“People say I am a little bit weird with the way I go about things, it's a fine line,' Smith had previously said. “I wear football socks and I actually tape my shoelaces to my socks. I don't like anything to be putting me off. I don't have an excuse of the shoelaces coming off.”
Talking about his love and passion for the game, his teammate David Warner had also spoken about his obsession as a batsman and how he is often seen ‘shadow-batting’ on his own.
“He just loves cricket,” Warner said in the documentary. “Even away from the game he's always shadow batting in his bedroom.”

A few days ago, PETA tweeted urging India’s leading dairy producer to switch to the production of vegan milk instead of cattle milk which sparked a huge debate among netizens.
Those in favour of the proposition made by the NGO said it could be great for the emerging market and veganism should be encouraged.
However, those against the idea called for a ban on the organisation citing employment of dairy farmers, culture and traditions of India and more.
    © Twitter
After the controversial tweet by PETA, Amul responded by saying that the company is responsible for the livelihood of 100 million poor farmers and it isn’t willing to use its resources to produce “genetically modified Soya of rich MNC at exhorbitant prices ,which average lower middle class can't afford.”

This came from the MD of GCMMF, R S Sodhi who got massive support from Twitterati for his response.
Peta wants Amul to snatch livelihood of 100 mill poor farmers and handover it's all resources built in 75 years with farmers money to market genetically modified Soya of rich MNC at exhorbitant prices ,which average lower middle class can't afford https://t.co/FaJmnCAxdO
    — R S Sodhi (@Rssamul) May 28, 2021
Now, the vice-chairman of Amul, Valamji Humbal has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to impose a ban on the NGO citing numerous reasons from how it is “an attempt to break the Indian dairy sector”, which plays a huge role in the GDP, to synthetic milk being a 'foreign conspiracy'.
He released a statement where he urged the PM to initiate necessary action against PETA.
    © Twitter
In the release, he said, “Dairy sector is an important contributor to the GDP of India but the GDP can be affected adversely by misinformation spread by opportunistic elements like this NGO. Organisations like this are part of the conspiracy to render unemployed the milk producers of India.”

“To ensure that such organisations stop their activities in India, milk producers of Gujarat urge Prime Minister Narendra Modi to initiate necessary action to impose a ban on organisations which are engaged in condemnable activity of tarnishing the image of dairy industry through misinformation campaign and then harm them by encouraging plants of multination companies producing synthetic milk,” he added.
    © Twitter
PETA India’s CEO Dr Manilal Valliyate responded to Hambal saying “Amul has shown itself to be a bully, unable to appreciate the public’s concern for animals, and a business that apparently cannot change despite changing consumer trends. But no amount of bullying is going to change the fact: vegan eating is taking the world by storm.”

    © Twitter
Twitter remains to be siding with Amul on the matter and are calling for the NGO to be banned.

However, there were some who thought that Amul wanting to ban an organisation over a tweet is a bit extreme. Here is what Twitter users have to say.
    Banning is no solution.
Unwanted bans lower country's perception in foreign lands.
    — DeveloperBoi (@BoiDeveloper) June 2, 2021We supports him, PETA is trying to confuse Indians on their traditions and culture,
    He should be banned#banpeta #AmulPrideOfIndia
    — Devendra Sharma (@Devendra84278) June 2, 2021This crazed request to curry favor is obvious, but makes us a laughing stock in the eyes of the world
    — Ranjan Chacko (@ChackoRanjan) June 2, 2021This man gets perturbed over a suggestion and calling it an international conspiracy,hmm...he might be having information about the. Kgb, CIA, mossad being involved with the Pakistani Isis spearheading the move,oh come on do not.mske us .....in front of the world
    — Ranjan Chacko (@ChackoRanjan) June 1, 2021PETA has no logic and no work hence trying to kick up a controversy. The PM should take note and take action on PETA for forcing Amul to produce what they don't want to. Well there will be other milk farmers outside Gujrat who can produce ....They can ask them to do it.
    — Niranjan Rao (@Revati071) June 1, 2021PM Modi, who was the longest-serving chief minister of Gujarat for over 12 years, has praised Amul on various occasions.
While inaugurating Amul’s chocolate plant in 2018, he said, “Today, Amul has become an inspiration world over. People from overseas also ask me about Amul. Amul is not only about milk processing. This is an excellent model of empowerment.”

The PM is yet to respond to the request made by Amul VC.

Ever since the world saw the outbreak of the deadly Covid-19 virus in Wuhan, China more than one and a half years ago, people's lives have been thrown under the bus as there have barely been any signs of normalcy anywhere, especially in India.
    © iStock
During that time the virus has mutated and been named the UK variant, the Africa variant, or the Indian variant, on the basis of the country they were first discovered in.

    © iStock
However, now, the World Health Organization (WHO), who first brought us news regarding the existence of the virus, has decided to make things simpler for people. It has decided that the key virus strains, instead of being called by the name of the country, will now be labeled using the letters of the Greek alphabet in order for people to find it easy to say it and remember.

Today WHO has announced a new naming system for key #COVID19 variants. The labels are based on the Greek alphabet (i.e. Alpha, Beta, Gamma, etc), making them simple, easy to say and remember.

    https://t.co/aYCZfspZyb pic.twitter.com/Gxt14fwVqF
    — World Health Organization (WHO) (@WHO) May 31, 2021
"WHO has assigned simple, easy to say and remember labels for key variants of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, using letters of the Greek alphabet," said the organisation on its website.
The labels do not replace existing scientific names, which convey important scientific information & will continue to be used in research. The naming system aims to prevent calling #COVID19 variants by the places where they are detected, which is stigmatizing & discriminatory. pic.twitter.com/MwWGGMXPjn
    — World Health Organization (WHO) (@WHO) May 31, 2021You are welcome! pic.twitter.com/5MHDwvirB2
    — SJ Ahmed (@SuhaibJAhmed) June 1, 2021
So, instead of the virus strains being called the Indian strain or the UK strain, people will now refer to them as Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and so on.

Easy to remember, right? One of the key reasons behind the decision to rename the strains is down to ending stigma and discrimination for a country where the virus has been detected.
"People often resort to calling variants by the places where they are detected, which is stigmatizing and discriminatory. To avoid this and to simplify public communications, WHO encourages national authorities, media outlets, and others to adopt these new labels," said WHO.
WHO encourages countries and others to adopt these names as they will ease public discussions about global #COVID19 Variants of Concern and Interest.

    More:https://t.co/aYCZfspZyb
    — World Health Organization (WHO) (@WHO) May 31, 2021
While it may be a move in the right direction, remembering the variants on the basis of greek letters is surely a confusing prospect and people on social media surely had a lot to say about it.
Easy to remember! You must be joking . A silly and bizarre exercise. Quite unnecessary. New variants will keep evolving that will make Greek numbers just that , Greek to me.
    — deepaknatarajan (@deepakdeepak) June 1, 2021Hm yes I can see this will lead to confusion and people traveling more to places they shouldn't
    — Andrea (@CallForCries) June 1, 2021So now they're all Greek variants - so much for not stigmatising individual countries
    — Martin Sansom (@antiquestwins) June 1, 2021I had to check to see if was April 1st, how many people outside science know order of Greek alphabet, it will just confuse or is that the purpose?
    — Patrick Mc Gowan (@pzjmcg_gowan) May 31, 2021It’s not simple or easier. You’ll have to then associate a letter with a variant. May make sense in scientific/lab field, however as clinicians, much easier to keep the origin-name linked. @WHO badly led. And it’s not tue first time.
    — Jesus Isea de la Viña (@jiseav) May 31, 2021When a product has been in the market for some time, marketing departments recommend re-branding to refresh interest and boost sales.
    I mean seriously WTF
    — ~MS~ (@symphonicall) June 1, 2021Hey @WHO, maybe instead of focusing on the name of the virus and its variants, we focus more on the tackling it?

    Just a thought.
    — Crypto Dizzle (@DizzleCrypto) May 31, 2021This really is when you know that scientists don't want covid to go away because they won't be thought about again. "Let's stay current - let's rename all the variants so that people have no idea what we're talking about anymore! And let's make them Greek..for no reason!"
    — Girl (@userunknown200) June 1, 2021@WHO How about working on finding the Origin of this Virus? Well over 18months into the Pandemic, we don't know the Origin! That would be basic stuff to learn. What do we know so far that is useful? The world expects WHO to be all over this already.. @DrTedros #COVID19 #COVID
    — Pramod (@pramodatta1) June 1, 2021It should be like

    Chinese COVID Alpha Variant

    Chinese COVID Beta Variant

    Chinese COVID Gamma Variant

    CHINESSE COVID Delta Variant
    — Vishwanath Upadhyay (@vishu272) June 1, 2021Where is the Vietnam hybrid strain of variant of Corona!
Moreover, they are all Chinese strains of Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, Zeta, Eta, Theta, Lota, Kappa... Variants!!!#Chinavirus #biowar
    — Anirudh reddy (@Anirudh50022767) June 1, 2021Remember that the government responsible for the research and manufacture of covid-19 are also the largest contributors to the WHO foundation. Which is how you release a bioweapon and get away with it.
    — Omadon 🇬🇧 (@h4wk69) June 1, 2021No mention of China?
What is the name of the Variant which was originated/leaked from the Wuhan, China?

In reality all these mentioned variants which were detected in other countries are Sub- Variants of the Wuhan Virus 🦠

    SARS Cov1 came from China
    SARS Cov2 came from China
    — #Sandeep (@Sandeep24_) June 1, 2021Just the way the CCP wants it. Continuing to do China’s work. The WHO delegitimized itself throughout the pandemic. First telling the world of “no human-to-human transmission” when dozens in the same hospital had contracted the virus in China. #WHOLiedAndPeopleDied #China #CCP

People who have just started to explore cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin, will probably not know this, but one of the most popular cryptos out there, actually started out as a joke.
We’re, of course, talking about DogeCoin.

The founders of Dogecoin, Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer were software developers for IBM when they started their own cryptocurrency as a joke, commenting on the wild speculation in cryptocurrencies back in 2013.

Little did they know that they would one day become one of the most popular mainstream cryptos.

Because it started out as a joke, not a lot of people took DogeCoins seriously.

However, ever since Elon Musk started tweeting about and investing in DogeCoins, the crypto has just exploded.

So much so, that over this year, it has grown over 100 per cent in value. Recently, it hit a valuation of $0.60 per coin. While this may seem to be a paltry number, do keep in mind that it started the year at about $0.25 per coin.

People who have “invested” in DogeCoin know that it isn’t exactly a serious investment, or at least, it isn’t supposed to be a serious investment.

However, given that it is inching closer to the hallowed 1 Dollar per coin mark in tremendous speed, some people can’t help but wonder, should they start taking DogeCoin seriously.

Since it was because of Elon Musk that DogeCoin got this new lease on life, people took some inspiration from SapceX & the fact that Musk sent a Tesla Roadster into space, people have been joking, that now, the DogeCoin will go into space.

Most people who’re into cryptos, however, still see it as the meme equivalent of crypto coins. Such people took to Twitter to put out some seriously hilarious memes.

    — Debashish Talukdar (@debashishtaluk) June 2, 2021On a serious note though, invest in such cryptos at your own risk, and with money that you can afford to lose. Taking financial advice from memesters, isn’t exactly a smart move.
What do you think about this latest spurt in alternate cryptocurrencies? Do you think these cryptos are a good place to invest your money in? Have you invested in DogeCoin? Do let us know in the comments below.

Apple has been adding new shows and movies to its streaming service, and most of it is original content. The Apple TV+ service already has a sizable catalogue for users to stream and will be releasing the new season of Ted Lasso in the coming weeks. Other shows such as For All Mankind, The Morning Show, Servant are other popular titles users can now stream on Android TV devices.

The rollout to Android TV devices also comes at the perfect time since Apple is gearing up to release new shows such as Lisey’s Story, Home Before Dark Season 2, Central Park Season 2 and Physical. The expansion will be coming just in time for Apple’s summer content rollout and the availability on Android TV devices means more people will be able to see these new shows.
