Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) announced that the upcoming game has received over 20 million pre-registrations since it was made available on Google Play Store. Battlegrounds Mobile India garnered traction from mobile gamers as soon as it was announced since its predecessor PUBG Mobile was banned in India. It is also worth pointing out that BGMI received 7.6M pre-registrations on the first day of pre-registration on the Play Store.

The company took to Instagram and thanked the fans, saying, "20 MILLION Pre-Registrations! Thank You India for the tremendous love!”

The upcoming game is still available for pre-registrations even though Krafton has not announced a formal release date for the game as of now. The game is expected to launch sometime in June as apps that go live for pre-registrations have to make it available within 60 to 90 days on Google Play Store. Having said that, many leaks surfaced online that suggested the game might launch on June 18th, exactly a month after pre-registrations went live.

Battlegrounds Mobile India is expected to be very similar to PUBG Mobile with similar maps, features, weapons and other in-game items. The upcoming game will also be able to run on old budget smartphones. As per the Google Play listing, Battlegrounds Mobile India recommends using devices that run Android 5.1.1 or above and have at least 2GB of RAM. Battlegrounds Mobile India is expected to be anywhere between 660MB to 750MB in size and can get larger when downloading additional content packs such as new maps and in-game items.

What do you think about Battlegrounds Mobile India crossing 20 million pre-registrations? Do you think a large player base would contribute towards the success of the game? Let us know in the comments section below.

For the uninitiated, self-proclaimed film critic KRK and Salman Khan have been in the news for their legal battle. It all started when KRK bashed Radhe for being trash and Salman’s team filed a defamation suit against the former for spreading hate and speaking ill about the Dabangg actor. KRK took to Twitter to thank Govinda and shared that he had extended support to him in a legal tussle against Salman. “Govinda Bhai thank you for your love and support. I won’t disappoint you!” KRK wrote.
    © KRK Twitter
Now, Govinda has reacted to KRK’s claim and called it completely baseless as the actor hasn’t been in touch with the latter for several years. He also added that the ‘critic’ had spoken ill about his films in the past.

Govinda told IANS, “I read some media reports about me backing KRK. I am not in touch with KRK for years altogether — no meetings, no phone calls, and no messages. It could be some other person by the same name as I am not being tagged in the tweet. In fact, the self-proclaimed critic had spoken and written unfit statements about me and my movies in the past.”
He went on to add that a similar attempt was made by Komal Nahata when he dragged his name in Kartik Aaryan’s controversies. He said, “I do not even know in depth the exact problems between Salman and KRK but my name has been dragged in the matter. A similar attempt was made by another film critic Komal Nahata who also took my name in an issue concerning Kartik Aaryan losing a couple of films. Both the attempts seem like an agenda by a demented mind aimed to create nuisance amidst the unprecedented pandemic times.”
If Govinda hadn’t reacted to this claim, it would have fuelled rumours that Govinda was upset with Salman and David Dhawan for not giving him enough credit for the success of Partner.

In 2011, in a conversation with Rediff, when Govinda was asked if he had any problems with Salman, he had denied having any rift with the latter and said, "There is no problem between us so the question of solving it does not arise. Even to have an issue, there needs to be a reason and we do not have any reason to have a fight."
Cut to 2021, Govinda and Salman Khan were spotted together on the sets of Zee TV's Indian Pro Music League.
We wonder if KRK cooked up the entire story.

Most of us have made that one impulse-buy, that we have come to regret eventually.
A pair of sneakers, a watch, a video game, a mobile phone - these things may be expensive, but they at least have some utility.
    © iStock
Now, imagine spending Rs 38 Lakhs on a single piece of chicken nugget, because it looks like a nameless character from a video game.

Well, that is exactly what has happened.
    © iStock
An eBay user has put up a post saying that he has a Chicken McNugget in the shape of a crewmate from the massively popular game, Among Us.

    © InnerSloth LLC
What is more surprising, that people have actually bid some insane money on the piece of chicken. The bidding closed at $51,800, or roughly Rs 38 Lakhs.

    © eBay
But why would a piece of chicken cost as much as a decently furnished 1 BHK apartment?

McDonald’s has teamed up with the Korean boy band, BTS, and is selling a combo meal popularly known as the BTS meal in some markets.
A part of that meal consists of a box of Chicken McNuggets. This is where the “magical” piece comes from.
    © Instagram/bts.bighitofficial
Food items with such appearances are usually auctioned off for ridiculous amounts of money.

In 2016, a piece of Cheetos, the American version for India’s Kurkure, sold for $99,000 because it was shaped like Harambe, the infamous gorilla that was shot inside a zoo in the US.
    © eBay
Then, there was this instance, when a cheese toast, that apparently looks like the Virgin Mary, was auctioned off in 2004, for $28,000.

    © eBay
Given BTS’ global appeal and popularity, and the fact that any unique and bizarre merchandise with their name connected to it has become a collectable, we can see why someone bid $51,800 on it.

The listing says that the nugget is ‘slightly used,’ and that it will be frozen and air-sealed before it is shipped.
    © eBay
We just wonder, what was the person thinking when they placed the bid? And what happens when the thing starts going bad?

Well, that would make this ordeal quite interesting, wouldn’t it?

There have been some important changes since many of us were told that offices would be closing down owing to the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
    © iStock
While healthcare workers and other essential workers are still required to physically go out to carry out their duties, a lot of us have adapted to remote work or working from home.

    © iStock
Fast forward to the present time and work from home really works like a charm for a lot of us.

Not only are we able to get the daily chores done but are also sometimes able to enjoy a quick walk or a workout session while still achieving our daily work targets, something that wouldn't have been possible in a conventional work environment.
    © iStock
However, with more vaccinations against the virus, many companies across the world are now calling employees back to offices, something that has not gone down well with many people who have embraced working from home as the new normal.

    © iStock
Surprisingly, many are even choosing to quit workplaces rather than going back to offices, with Portia Twidt, research compliance specialist, being one of the people leaving her workplace.

    © iStock
Twidt says that some bosses, unfamiliar with remote work, want people to come back so that they are able to regain control over their employees. "They feel like we're not working if they can't see us. It's a boomer power-play," said Twidt.

According to a study, as things start getting back to normal, employees may prefer different options for themselves, something that is certainly influenced by the generation gap between people.
    © iStock
As per a May survey of 1,000 adults in the United States, around 39% would consider quitting if their employers weren't flexible about remote work, with that figure rising to 49% amongst millennials and Gen Z.

Sara Sutton, the CEO of FlexJobs, a job-service platform that focuses on flexible employment, is in agreement with the changing trend. "High-five to them. Remote work and hybrid are here to stay," said Sara.
Another example of an employee who quit his job after his office started calling back employees, is Jimme Hendrix, a 30-year-old software developer in the Netherlands. "During Covid, I really started to see how much I enjoyed working from home," said Hendrix.
Hendrix, who now does freelance work and helps his girlfriend grow her art business, said he had to travel almost two hours for work. However, the couple is now planning to sell their car and instead rely on bikes.
    © iStock
"I can just do whatever I want around the house like a quick chore didn't have to wait until like 8 p.m. anymore, or I can go for a quick walk," said Hendrix.

The infamous Kamal R Khan aka KRK has fallen into the depths of several controversies over the years.

He has badmouthed some of the biggest A-listers in Bollywood, including Salman Khan and often makes headlines for all the wrong reasons.
From taking a dig at the Prime Minister of India to criticising directors of Bollywood, KRK is always in the news for his demeaning remarks.

He recently got into a feud with Mika Singh as well, who supports Salman Khan.

Mika then went on to announce that he would be making a diss track for KRK and the song is on its way.
Salman had filed a defamation lawsuit against Kamal and Mika came in full support.
Hello everyone, beat and tune is almost done now .
we are working on the lyrics..
thank you @shari @ToshiSabrii for making such an awesome beat..
I am making this special song for @kamaalrkhan #KRKKutta ..But it is a commercial club song . pic.twitter.com/p12mx3G7Cu
    — King Mika Singh (@MikaSingh) June 2, 2021
Angry Mika also took to Twitter from his studios and announced that he would be releasing the track soon. In his recent post, he posted the progress of his song.
He wrote "Hello everyone, beat and tune is almost done now. we are working on the lyrics.. thank you @shari @ToshiSabrii for making such an awesome beat.. I am making this special song for @kamaalrkhan #KRKKutta ..But it is a commercial club song."
In the video, he can be seen chatting with his mates and there's also a hashtag #KRKKutta that comes on the screen.
Aside from that, one can actually hear a dog barking noise in the background.
I Request everybody please don’t make fun of dogs .
I repeat thank you and don’t compare dogs with #KRKKutta . It’s my humble request to everyone… https://t.co/AIIegLoZOJ
    — King Mika Singh (@MikaSingh) May 31, 2021
KRK has described Mika several times as 'Chirkut Singer' in his tweets. Both Mika and KRK have been in a war of words for a while now.
In one of his tweets, he had mentioned "A lot of actors have complained to me about KRK in the past and I had even yelled at him several times, even when he had spoken wrongly about Sara Ali Khan. I have a good relationship with Salman Bhai but at the same time, it is my responsibility to call out wrong things, since I am a part of the same industry. Everyone should have united and spoken out much before.”
    © Twitter/Mika Singh
Mika has collaborated with Salman several times.

In an interview, he said "I am surprised that Salman Bhai waited so long to file a case against him. Donkeys like him should be tamed as soon as possible... He always makes personal attacks, which is wrong.”
    © Twitter/Mika Singh
Mika also said that KRK picks 'soft' targets from Bollywood but won't mess with his 'daddy' which is Mika himself.

Looks like the song is going to be a big hit soon. What do you think of the music? Let us know in the comments below.

India’s tour of Australia is considered by many the best overseas performance that the Men in Blue have pulled, especially in the longest format of the game. The series consisted of drama, excitement, some massive drawbacks, and some big emotional turmoil for a few of the players.
Still, the squad endured, showed the kind of character of which real champions are made and ended up winning the historic four-match Test series that nobody had expected them to pull off.
    THANK YOU! 2-1 🇮🇳🇮🇳 #TeamIndia #AUSvIND pic.twitter.com/syKRSOgaWQ
    — BCCI (@BCCI) January 7, 2019
One of the biggest narratives from that season came in favour of pacer Mohammed Siraj boosted to Test cricket success, despite being considered just a back-up bowler when the series began.
Within days of Siraj’s time in Australia, news came that he had lost his father. The BCCI were extremely supportive and even made arrangements for the cricketer to go back home and spend time with his family. But to credit Siraj’s courage and sheer determination, the 27-year old decided to stay back with the team and play for his country.
From Test cap 298 to 300.

Mohammad Siraj offers T Natarajan some advice learned from his brief time on the Test circuit.

No matter how strong one portrays to be, the loss of a family member, no less, their own father, definitely takes a toll on the person. It is bound to affect their focus, their performance and the ability to be mentally present in the moment - all three things crucial to an athlete’s success or failure on the field.
This is where head coach Ravi Shastri stepped in, arguably as the most justifiable father figure for Siraj and gave him the confidence to bowl like he was capable of.

“When I lost my father during the Australia tour, both Ravi sir and bowling coach Bharat Arun sir were so supportive. Ravi sir came to me and said ‘Tu test match khel, dekh tereko 5 wickets milega. Tere Daddy ka dua tera saath hoga (You play the test match. You will get 5 wickets as your father’s blessings will be with you). Match ke baad Ravi sir ne bahut khus hokar bola, tujhe bola tha na 5 wickets milega (I told that you will be getting five wickets). I became very confident after my coaches encouraged me in such a way,” Siraj told ABP news.

In one of the most baffling and uninformed lawsuits this year, actress Juhi Chawla filed a case against 5G technology deployment in India. She was later blasted by the Delhi High Court for filing a lawsuit without giving any representation to the government on her concerns related to the technology.
    © Instagram/Juhi Chawla
Juhi Chawla’s plea claims that 5G wireless technology can threaten to provoke serious, irreversible effects on humans and permanent damage to the Earth's ecosystems. The suit by Juhi Chawla, Veeresh Malik and Teena Vachani claimed that due to 5G technology "no person, animal, bird, insect and plant on Earth will be able to avoid exposure, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to levels of RF radiation that are 10x to 100x times greater than what exists today."

The court heard arguments of various parties and asked as to why as many as 33 parties were added to the plaintiff and said it is not permitted under the law. “It is not the sweet will of the plaintiff to join as many parties and cause of action. Please see the memo of parties. Tell me how you have joined them. Every party cannot be arrayed in the suit,” the judge said.

The court further said, “It is a defective plaint. This suit has been filed only for media publicity and nothing more than that. It is very shocking. Did you approach the government with a representation? If yes, is there any denial?,” the court asked to which the plaintiffs’ counsel replied in negative.

“Plaintiff has no personal knowledge of the plaint. I am surprised. How can it be? Is the suit permissible when the plaintiff has no personal knowledge of the averment? I have not seen a suit where a person says I don’t know, please conduct an inquiry,” the judge said.
    © Reuters
The court also questioned the knowledge of plaintiffs on the facts and warned them to prosecute for filing a suit based on false claims. Solicitor General Tushar Mehra appeared for the Central government and argued that the suit was frivolous and barred under Section 9 of the Code.

"The suit really is frivolous. These are rare instances where power under Section 9 may be exercised. There is no cause of action," Mehta said. He added, the plaintiffs needed to show how the technology is wrongful and termed the suit as an “ill-conceived litigation.”
Advocate Deepak Khosla, representing the plaintiffs, said the 5G technology trials involving the human population have been done and added that these are not "pigs and rats.”
5G network operates at a frequency that enables high-speed internet wirelessly. Nodes emit radio frequencies that are 10 to 100 times higher than what we operate smartphones on, however this level of radiation is already present around in from natural and artificial sources. This radiation scatters rather quickly and does not affect humans, animals or plants. 5G networks run at various microwaves such as 600 to 850 megahertz (low band), 2.5 to 3.7 gigahertz and 25 to 39 gigahertz (high band).

The Indian cricket team left for England on Wednesday in order to play in the World Test Championship against New Zealand, followed by a four-Test series against the hosts later during their tour.
Ahead of their departure from the Mumbai Airport, however, Team India skipper Virat Kohli was captured in images by the paparazzi standing nearby. They also clicked Kohli’s wife and famous actor Anushka Sharma walking by his side.

However, the photographers looked a bit too eager to click the picture of the face of their daughter Vamika, despite repeated requests made by them on multiple occasions and platforms, requesting media to keep her away from the limelight.
In one of the images, Kohli could be seen visibly angry and even though more than half of his face was covered by a mask, his eyes were enough for the fans to get the message.

As parents, we have a simple request to make to you. We want to protect the privacy of our child and we need your help and support,“ the couple had written in their post while sharing the news of becoming parents earlier this year.
“While we will always ensure that you get all the content you need featuring us, we would request you to kindly not take or carry any content that has our child. We know that you will understand where we are coming from and we thank you for the same,” they added.

Back in May, the 32-year-old Kohli talked about not exposing their child to social media after a fan asked for a glimpse of Vamika.

“Vamika is another name for Goddess Durga. No, we have decided as a couple to not expose our child to social media before she has an understanding of what social media is and can make her own choice,” Kohli had said.

Arjun Kapoor has been trolled excessively on social media for a lot of things. However, the troll police of social media, at times, cross all lines and get extremely personal. He talked about how he receives hate comments for his appearance, his surname and also for ‘being alive.’

Talking about trolls taking it to another level, and getting personal, Arjun told Pinkvilla in an interview, “Imagine what you put our families through, would you write rubbish for the sake of fun and there are people who write really nasty things especially about women and I have read that. I’m still a guy and I have faced flak for just my physicality and just for being alive and even being somebody’s son.”
    View this post on Instagram
He further said, “Main kya karun apni shakal badal dun, apna naam badal dun (what should I do, should I change my name and appearance), should I feel sorry for who I am? We get taken for granted for more and that’s so sad and unfortunate but I hope it improves.”

Earlier, in an interview with HT, he also talked about how celebs are also trolled for doing charity. He said that people forget that we are human beings too and not superheroes. He said, “At the end of the day, people have a right to their opinion. Everybody has an opinion about everything. Opinions today are very easy to float because you have a computer or a keyboard in front of you and you can type what you feel. Half the time, people don’t even know what they are typing and they don’t mean what they say. You can’t get upset and react to everything, and I also don’t owe anyone an explanation.”
    View this post on Instagram
He further said, “If today, I don’t do something, I don’t owe you an explanation. If I do something, I don’t owe you an explanation. If I do something behind the scenes, I don’t need to come out and tell you what I am doing, and if I am doing something and I want to tell you, that is my business, that I want people to know that I am doing something good. Each celebrity, each individual is unique in what they are experiencing and feeling. You are allowed to take care of yourself before you take care of others. You are allowed to take care of everybody and not bother about yourself. It is very individual.”

Arjun was recently seen in his films Son of Sardar and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar.

India has been struggling with the second wave of the deadly Coronavirus and all the states have imposed partial lockdowns in order to prevent it from spreading. A report from Bollywood has evoked many reactions from people on Twitter. According to ANI, an FIR was registered against Bollywood actors Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani on Wednesday for allegedly violating the pandemic norms by roaming at a public place without a valid reason.
ANI tweeted, “An FIR has been registered against actors Tiger Shroff, Disha Patani & others for violating COVID-19 restrictions: Mumbai Police. The actors were found roaming at Bandstand Promenade & couldn't give a valid reason to police for being out of their homes after 2 pm.”

“An FIR has been registered on Wednesday under section 188 (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the IPC against the duo,” said a senior Mumbai Police officer as quoted by Indian Express.

After the news started to go viral, people started to react on social media. Some attacked the duo while some called it a fake report. Well, some people dragged Aditya Thackeray into the picture as well since he is friends with Disha.
    Here’s how people reacted:

A popular celebrity photographer shared the report on his Instagram handle and Tiger’s mother Ayesha Shroff reacted strongly to these claims. It was after her strong reaction that the post was taken down by the photographer.
She commented on the photographer’s post and wrote, “You got your facts wrong my dear. They were heading home and cops were checking Aadhar cards on the way. No one is interested in roaming at a time like this. Please get your facts right before saying such things."
Ayesha added, “for your information, it is permitted to go out for essentials. Instead of bringing people down how come no one writes about the free meals he’s providing to front-line workers!! That’s because he himself doesn’t talk about it. So don’t judge."
