    Ever looked out of the window of your classroom or a workplace just to daydream about one day being a man of your own destiny, of being a free-bird who doesn't need a pass or ticket to travel to places with beautiful beaches or snow-capped mountains.

    Well, if you need any counselling on how to go forward with it, you can talk to this particular gentleman who cycled all the way from Kerala to Kashmir, just by selling tea along the way. Nidhin Maliyekkal, a 23-year-old, hailing from god's own country, Kerala, began his cycling journey from Thrissur district in Kerala on January 1, 2021 with only a mere Rs 170 in his pocket.

    But the lack of funds did not stop him from having a surreal travel experience to Kashmir and back, with the youngster covering a staggering 5,647km till his return to Kerala on April 30.

    However, Nidhin, while speaking to The Hindu, he said the trip wasn't an impromptu one but only a small result of him being a travel junkie. The youngster became fond of travelling after he joined an Automobile Engineering course in Ernakulam district, which required him to travel on a daily basis.
    “I commuted by train to college every day. The trips, usually two hours long, became so enjoyable that after three months I stopped going to college and travelled to other places. Nobody knew it since I would return home by evening. But once the college authorities came to know about it, my adventure and my studies came to an end.” he told The Print.
    Nidhin, who has gone hitch-hiking across South India amongst many of his trips, spoke on how his trip to Kashmir was actually an end result of things not going his way.
    “So I started doing odd jobs. I was working as a tea/juice maker but when India went into lockdown, I had no job. When I was about to take up another job after 10 months of unemployment, it was given to someone else. That was when I decided on this trip,” he said.
    At the time when he started the journey, Nidhin said he took his younger brother's old cycle and just a few other things. He said, "He was not using it since he felt it had gone out of fashion! I thought I should manage with what I have. I sold my camera — my only saving — to repair the cycle and buy the things needed for the trip. I decided to sell tea during the trip to meet the expenses.”
    “(I had) a tent, a kerosene pump stove, flask, tea dust, sugar, saucepan, glasses, four T-shirts and two shorts. Everyone called me crazy. My parents didn’t know that I had just Rs 170 with me!” said Nidhin.
    But word had already begun spreading around Nidhin's journey to Kashmir on Facebook, and he found help from unknown sources, with people giving him a helmet, a water bottle, among other things.

    Nidhin also says that he was also unsure of the route which he had taken for his trip, however, despite having a language problem, many other cyclists helped him along the way. “All I knew to say in English was, ‘I am from Kerala, going to Kashmir’,” said Nidhin.

    Cycling only during the day, he would spend the journey selling tea at Rs 10 per cup, while mostly sleeping at petrol pumps or at accommodation arranged by his well-wishers.

    By the time he had reached Kashmir, he had cycled across Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh, a thing which surely gives most people a lot of travel goals.

    The murder of wrestler Sagar Rana has caught the attention of the entire country, especially because of the person who is being charged for the crime. The two-time Olympic medallist and one of the most beloved athletes of the country at one point, Sushil Kumar was absconding, hiding across Delhi and the NCR region, arrested and was then in police custody.
    On Thursday, a Delhi court announced nine-day judicial custody for the accused and his associate, Ajay Kumar, while denying Delhi Police’s application to extend their custody over him for three more days.

    His advocate, Pradeep Rana urged the court to consider the wrestler not as a “dreadful criminal” but as a “victim of circumstances”. 
    Metropolitan Magistrate Rashmi Gupta denied police further custody, stating that “as per settled law, PC remand should not be granted in a mechanical manner.”
    “He is the one who brought pride to the country, not just once, but twice. He is the only person in our country who did this. He has been conferred the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award, Padma Bhushan, etc. But the investigating agency is hardly caring about his personal liberty,” Rana said.

    “This shows they (Police) are trying to beat around the bush. I’ve gone through this application. Not a single ground is shown. In the last 10 days, you were unable to recover a danda. Police remand cannot be given unless there is a special reason given in the application or the same must be disclosed by the case diary. Out of 11, nine accused persons have been arrested and many are sent to judicial custody,” Rana added.
    Additional Public Prosecutor Atul Srivastava on the other hand called this incident a “cold-blooded murder”.

    “He (Sushil) was the in-charge of everything there. The DVR has not been recovered. The mobile phone has to be recovered. It is clearly visible that he was carrying a danda (stick). That danda has not been recovered. The clothes he was wearing have not been recovered,” the APP told the court.
    “It’s a cold-blooded murder. Justice should be there for the victims. The whole society is looking up to this case. Will he today agree that he was there? No he will not.”

    Arjun takes a dig at Anil Kapoor upon his alleged “maintenance and make up time” a very old trope that Bollywood insiders close to Anil have often joked about, because of his tendency to look much younger than he actually is.

    Anil fires back by saying that Arjun’s taking too long to prepare a dish, and if he indeed shows such passion and commitment towards acting as he is showing about cooking, Arjun would definitely be as great as Anil one day!

    If this wasn’t enough, upon tasting what Arjun had prepared, Anil claims that it would be much, much better for Arjun if he switches careers and becomes a chef.

    While the advertisement itself is fun, one can’t help but be reminded of Mubarakan, the 2017 movie directed by Anees Bazmee, where they share the screen as an uncle-nephew pairing.

    The movie performed decently well at the box office and was fairly successful in making a good impression upon audiences.

    Coming back to the advertisement, the duo was well received mainly because they obviously share quite a playful relationship, which comes across very naturally.

    The ‘Shahenshah’ of Bollywood married his co-star of several movies, Jaya Bhaduri on his father’s impromptu instructions on 3 June 1973. 

    He shared on his social media last year, “47 years .. today .. June 3, 1973 .. !! Had decided if Zanjeer would succeed, we would along with a few friends go to London for the first time .. My Father asked who you going with? When i told him who, he said you must marry her before you go .. else you don’t go .. So .. I obeyed .. !!”

    Nisha Rawal’s allegations against Karan Mehra have become the talk of the town. Karan Mehra was arrested and then was let out on bail and he also denied all the allegations made by Nisha Rawal. Both sides have their versions and different stories to tell. The couple is now heading towards a divorce and the former is seeking alimony to take care of their four-year-old son Kavish’s future and education.

    According to reports, “Nisha Rawal stated that her only demand from Karan Mehra was for him to take responsibility for Kavish. She said that the alimony she was demanding was not for herself, but to fund their son's education. The actress stated that all she wanted was that Karan takes care of Kavish's future and higher education.”

    The report further said, “Nisha shared that she would be taking responsibility for Kavish’s education till he reaches Class 12, and wanted Karan to fund his education thereafter. Stating that he had 12 years to earn money, she stated that she will handle the expenses of the higher education if it was in her capacity. She added that she was also looking for a regular source of income for her son.”

    Earlier, the actor also said that he talked to Nisha’s rakhi brother Ritesh Sethia so that he could help them in a mutual agreement on the alimony. However, as per Karan, they wanted a huge alimony amount which wasn’t possible for Karan to pay.

    Nisha also gave him a huge list of what she needs and on the day of the event, after not concluding, Karan said that they will talk about it later or let the court decide.

    Nisha had also claimed that she had given all her jewelry to pay for Karan’s EMIs when he had no work. She also claimed that she had been transferring her funds into his account and now he left her without any money when she wanted to treat her fractured foot.

    Just when you'd thought Harrison Ford had probably said goodbye to some iconic on-screen characters like Hans Solo from the hugely successful Star Wars franchise, it looks like the 78-year-old actor is not really done with other such characters.

    Yes, there is some seriously interesting scoop of news for fans of the Indiana Jones franchise as Ford is returning as Dr. Henry Walton "Indiana" Jones in the fifth installment of the adventure series, which will begin filming next week.

    As per reports from Deadline, Indiana Jones 5 will commence filming at the Pinewood Studios in the UK next week. Considering that the fourth installment was released back in 2008, rumors around Indiana Jones 5 have been doing the rounds for quite some time, however, the new developments mean that fans have something concrete to get excited about.

    Sources close to the production have confirmed that the Lucasfilm movie which now falls under the umbrella of Disney is finally kicking on, with Ford even being spotted near to the studios earlier this week.

    The new film will see Ford return to cinema screens as Indiana Jones after a period of 14 years and will share the screen alongside Danish star Mads Mikkelsen, Fleabag actor Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, and Shaunette Renee Wilson.

    It's Pride Month. For those of you who are wondering why a particular month needs to be dedicated to the LGBTQIA+ community because 'straight' people don't have it, please just be glad about this instead. Heterosexual people don't have it because they are lucky enough to not NEED it. Imagine not having basic human rights like getting married or adopting children or leaving a will for the love of your life.
    Leaving legalities aside, even the societal acceptance of the LGBTQIA+ community just as regular, living, breathing individuals like anyone else seems to be still a challenge, thanks to their skewed, unjust perception in the society. While we can trust Bollywood to be responsible and trigger conversations about necessary social changes, sometimes they go ahead and unfortunately do just the opposite. Example, these movies where LGBTQAI+ characters have been portrayed with utter insensitivity.
    1. Dostanavia GIPHY
     Yes, the leads were 'pretending' to be gay and hence it was not a realistic portrayal, but what did it do to the societal perception? If the makers were thinking that Abhishek Bachchan's flamboyant persona prancing around would 'trigger a mainstream conversation' in the already homophobic canvas that Bollywood was back then (still is, sort of), it's a shame and it's time they should be called out for that.

    Also, Boman Irani's character was an actual homosexual character in the movie that was reduced to a stereotype. Comic relief, you say? SHAME!
    2. Student of The Year

    Why did they do this to Rishi Kapoor's character? Who was it catering to? What were the makers thinking? There is NO excuse for that, till date.

    Has anyone even watched this movie? Anyway, look at this scene and tell us if this is not stereotyping at its worst, what is? Comedy? No thanks, we aren't buying that anymore.

    Another 'movie' that had no business being made in the first place. They call this film-making?

    We love AB Junior, we really do. But what on earth?

    We can go on if we dig a little deeper and start counting the cringeworthy cross-dressing scenes in songs/dances and other 'comedic' scenes usually performed by male leads. In an era where Rupaul's Drag Race is a mainstream phenomenon and rightfully so, Bollywood needs to acknowledge drag with the respect it deserves, instead of dehumanising it for the sake of cheap laughs. Do better, Bollywood, it's about time.

We’ve already seen a sleek pair of sneakers by the company that was made in collaboration with Travis Scott and Nike. However, a new collaboration with a luxury label is turning heads everywhere. Balenciaga, a Spanish luxury fashion house, launched a t-shirt and a hoodie that costs more than the actual PlayStation 5.

    The PS5 branded t-shirts are available in black or red with printed branding of the luxury fashion house. The design of the t-shirt also has the sacred symbols of PlayStation and a 'nov 2020 collection’ design indicating the November release day of the PlayStation 5 console. The hoodie is only available in black with the same design and face button printed on the sleeves. When taking a second look at the t-shirt, it actually looks like something the PlayStation sales staff would wear at a store.

    Many horror movies are based on true events and are extremely scary, as whatever is shown in the movie happened in reality. Not many people dare to live in these haunted houses. However, that’s not the case with the family currently residing in the real-life house which inspired the 2013 spine-chilling horror movie The Conjuring. 
    The cursed farmhouse in Harrisville, Rhode Island, US was discovered by paranormal activity investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren who were called in 1971 to look into its scary history. Cory and Jennifer Heinzon bought the historic farmhouse in June 2019, and two months after they moved in, the couple had informed the local news channel about weird eerie noises witnessed by them. 

    The couple bought the four-bedroom, two-bathroom farmhouse for its supernatural history for Rs 3,21,00,000.
    Their daughter, Madison Heinzen, documented the supernatural events happening in the house and shared her first-hand experiences with media outlets and on TikTok.
    Telling about the ‘spirit entities’ that live in the house, she has now a huge following on TikTok. She now describes her day-to-day life in the iconic spirit haunted farmhouse.
    According to the NY Post, in a video, she shared how she saw someone in a veil and a skirt before they disappeared. She also expressed that this happened while she was eating dinner alone.
    Not only this, but her parents also confirmed that other people have seen her too and described the figure as a ‘woman in a wedding dress.’

    The couple also admitted they have experienced lights flashing, footsteps, and knocks in the house along with doors opening on their own. They also confessed that they are scared of the alleged spirits who are known to be friendly initially and then turn sinister and attack the people after some time.
